After my latest outline, on the looming probability of a dollar based Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) {SEE HERE}, I found myself saying, “I hate to say this, but most people really don’t care. For some, the issue is esoteric, abstract, and difficult to comprehend. For others, there is a massive blanket of comfortable ambivalence until the consequences hit. For the few who understand, this is extremely troubling.”
Then I step back, breathe and reevaluate my ability to communicate.
A few recent comments have me looking for something, anything, that will help people understand the scope and breadth of what I am trying to communicate, and the challenge therein. EXAMPLES:
[COMMENT #1] – I don’t know, this is way over my head, and I consider myself at least somewhat intelligent and informed. Other than a few twenties I keep in my wallet, all money of consequence in my life is already just digits in computer networks as far as I can perceive. I never actually see a check for my wages, much less any dead presidents.
[…] Not that I disagree, I just don’t understand. I’m at a loss as to why this is so qualitatively different as far as my financial security goes. Maybe it’s because I’m a resident of Illinois and have some sort of Stockholm Syndrome from knowing they can already, and do, raise my taxes – as much as they want, any time they want – and there is nothing to stop them. {link}
[COMMENT #2] I apologize for this stupid question, but I’m confused. How do the grey countries fit into this digital money and “world order” Pippa refers to?
Pippa states, “But what I see our superpowers introducing digital currency, the Chinese were the first the US is on the brink, I think of moving in the same direction the Europeans have committed to that as well.”
China is grey on the map, as is Russia. If we, the mapped yellow USA, are being boxed in by the Russian sanctions how is it China is grey yet they were the first to introduce a digital currency? These insane, drunk with power “superpowers” – is their goal to color the entire world map yellow with the SWIFT network digital coin to control the entire world? {link}
You come here for understanding the world that exists, not the one we may hope to exist. If you are confused, I need to do a better job.
So, let me start.
I will start first with some information perhaps some do not know.
♦ Ever since the Western sanctions against Russia were created, an entire new black market of finance has been created in the “grey zone” that circumvents the sanctions and assists the people trapped by them.
Almost no one, sans a handful of people I have met, really have a full scope understanding of what is going on.
You cannot discover this information within the yellow zone. You cannot get this level of comprehension from behind a keyboard safely in your home office or den. You have to put your boots on the ground, take some risks and see exactly how it works. {Example Here}
The Russian sanctions were not created to block the Russians. The Russian sanctions were created to wall-in the West.
There are now networks of people who operate in various places that create proactive financial mechanisms for what you might call, “financial preppers.”
These people and groups set up bank accounts in foreign countries for you; they organize addresses (needed), phone numbers (needed), and create accounts that you can access that are outside the control of the dollar-based financial system. You can even get an official passport in the process.
These people also sell hardware [to support the phone numbers (really digital ids)] that is completely different from what exists behind the wall of the yellow zone.
How many Americans know that an iPhone-15 sold in the USA is completely different from an iPhone-15 sold outside the yellow zone? Meaning, the internal hardware is different. How many Americans know that?
How many Americans know that an iPhone-15 sold inside the USA has different originating software than an iPhone-15 sold outside the USA?
How many people know that when you purchase one of these “ghost phones”, the data network automatically identifies the disparity when the phone crosses into the yellow zone, and shortly thereafter the cellular network transmits a software update to bring the “ghost phone” into USA (yellow zone) compliance?
How many Americans know phone apps and internal app functions can exist on phones outside the yellow zone that do not exist inside the yellow zone?
Example: use a ghost phone, and you can access a digital wallet in Telegram; you can transmit funds to other Telegram users. However, use a USA compliant phone and you cannot. The function is there but the service is, “not available in your area.”
Why?
It’s about control.
If you don’t update the software, the function exists inside the yellow zone. However, update the software and the function disappears.
This happens.
Another real-life example was recently missed by many people when the story of the Apple Watch Series 9 was found to have violated patent technology and was banned for sale in the USA. {STORY}
To get into legal compliance, Apple transmitted a remote software update disabling the function of the patent technology in the USA. Again, for emphasis, only in the USA. Bring your non-compliant Series-9 into the range of a wifi network, and bingo auto-compliance. I mention this story only to highlight a modern compliance capability that many people do not know exists.
In essence, your tech devices -and the capability therein- are different than an identical tech device sold outside the Western control zone.
♦ Technology is intertwined with Central Bank Digital Currencies. Tech companies are regulated by the U.S/Western government, and the tech companies have to comply. The regulatory compliance is part of the process of control. There are regulatory walls around us that most do not understand. The same regulatory principle applies to finance and banking. Hence, the origination motive of the yellow zone wall, built under the auspices of Russian sanctions.
Let me make one big point resoundingly clear before moving on. When the WESTERN Central Bank Digital Currency system begins, all forms of cryptocurrency will be blocked and made unlawful inside the Western zone – either by regulation or by legislation.
Let me repeat this. Cryptocurrency in all forms will be banned.
Crypto is not technically a currency; it is a barter based on trust. However, at a certain point (origination or end) crypto must have the ability to transfer into currency value. Dollars (or another currency) are needed to purchase BitCoin,…. or BitCoin eventually sold or exchanged for Dollars (or another currency). [BitCoin only used as a familiar type of crypto.] This process is where crypto gets blocked.
Ownership of Crypto may not be unlawful, but any effort to use Crypto as an alternate digital currency to exchange value will be unlawful once the dollar based CBDC is launched.
A fully implemented govt controlled central bank digital currency will not allow competition. Alternate crypto currency will be banned. Without any doubt!
Back to the original questions:
“China is grey on the map, as is Russia. If we, the mapped yellow USA, are being boxed in by the Russian sanctions, how is it China is grey yet they were the first to introduce a digital currency?”
The grey zone can trade amongst themselves however they want; the yellow zone (West) has no capability to stop them. Ex. if Russia wants to trade 1,000 barrels of oil with China for 100 boxes of intel microchips, they can. Or, if China and Russia want to exchange digital yen for digital rubles, they can; the West cannot stop them. However, if China wants to interact with a yellow zone member, the yellow zone financial rule makers have rules. China would have to be compliant with a dollar based CBDC to exchange value within the yellow zone.
Similarly, if you want to exchange a bushel of corn for 10 dozen eggs with your neighbor, you can; there is no mechanism to stop you. However, if you need to pay your mortgage, you will have to be compliant with a dollar based CBDC to exchange value, ie pay your bill.
Which brings me to the next question:
“All money of consequence in my life is already just digits in computer networks as far as I can perceive. … I’m at a loss as to why this is so qualitatively different as far as my financial security.”
This is the common mistake that most people make.
There is a big difference between “electronic transactions” of dollars, and the existence of a “digital dollar.”
Let me give you a metaphor using a casino as the reference.
♦ CURRENT – You go to the casino window and exchange $10,000 dollars for poker chips valued at $10,000. You give the teller $10,000 in cash, bankers check, money order, a credit card or debit card transaction, and the teller gives you chips worth $10,000 in that casino. You can use the chips gambling and perhaps win more chips. Return to the window with $12,000 in casino chips, and the teller exchanges the chips for $12,000 dollars – cash or check or deposit into your electronic card.
You meet a man in the casino willing to give you his fancy Rolex watch in exchange for $5,000. You give the man $5,000 worth of your poker chips and he gives you his Rolex watch. That man can then go to the teller window and exchange the chips for $5,000 in cash. You have the watch.
♦ DIGITAL DOLLAR – You go to the teller window and produce your bank card containing a digital dollar balance. You exchange $10,000 worth of your digital dollars for $10,ooo dollars’ worth of poker chips. Except this time, with a digital dollar, each poker chip has your fingerprint on it. You spend or bet your poker chips, and each chip you win also arrives to you with your fingerprint on it. You win $12,000 dollars. You return to the window with $12,000 in chips, each with your fingerprint, and the teller uploads your card with $12,000 digital dollars.
You meet a man in the casino willing to give you his fancy Rolex watch in exchange for $5,ooo. However, you cannot give the man your poker chips because they are unique to you and are carrying your fingerprint. If he takes your fingerprint poker chips to the window, his fingerprint does not match the chip; his request for $5,000 in digital dollars would be denied. He cannot sell you his watch. Your transactional capability is limited by the digital fingerprint.
[If he was planning to sell his watch for $5,000 in order to purchase a motorcycle worth $5,ooo, it is possible for you to purchase the motorcycle, exchange it for his watch and then carry on. However, the motorcycle would be digitally registered to you, and you would be digitally registered to the motorcycle. A reconciliation process is needed.]
A digital dollar creates a unique id attached to that digital dollar. Ultimately, the central bank that issues the digital dollar controls what the digital id can do (that’s you), and what those digital dollars can be used for (what you can do).
Digital dollars can be blocked from gun purchases, and digital ids can be used to stop unapproved users from purchasing guns – or a gas guzzling suv, or a house that’s too big, or the non-compliant fridge, or whatever.
Sellers of goods (or information) can have their ids banned from receiving digital dollars, just as VISA and MasterCard blocked sellers of guns from accessing their electronic transaction system. With digital dollars, “demonetization”, an alarmingly familiar modern term, can become a function of a financial regulation system. “Debanking” another alarmingly familiar term, also becomes much easier.
Ultimately, a dollar-based US-Central Bank Digital Currency, ie a “digital dollar,” is about control.
Every transaction has a unique digital fingerprint, and every digital dollar can be traced by the IRS to the digital id associated with it.
There is a BIG difference between electronic funds (current), and a digital dollar (future).
I hope that helps.
But wait!!! If the Grid goes down, so does the control. Right?
We’d be in deep dung. But so would “THEY!”
Rest assured, “They” will have work arounds. “They” won’t hurt. Only the little guy.
Yes, agree.
We also have workarounds to their workarounds, etc, etc.
Remember, in guerilla warfare, there are no rules or standards or customs.
Lastly, patriots compose a significant portion of the actual humans who built and maintain the grid. We know how to do things to it that are hard to unwind.
We saw a small sample with two operatives, I know not for who, or if operating independently, who strategically shot some specific power station transformers at a specific substation in WA state to facilitate a specific blackout and one which wasn’t easy to fix. Why they did, IDK. I posited it was to kill the grid and attendant systems to facilitate some other criminal activity or as a distraction.
I posited at the time that they operated with system knowledge. Imagine tens of thousands of patriots with similar knowledge as current or former power system workers or vendors. Me, I was just a vendor. I fixed the stuff that made the grid go and kept your lights on, at least in CA. Others have more direct system knowledge.
I wouldn’t piss off the essential services blue collar folks too much. Water, power, sewer, communications. Things can go sideways, even for the elites or government, fast. 🙂
Thank you for bringing CA Fitts into the discussion. She has been a mentor and teacher of mine for very long time. Of course I have credit and debit cards or couldn’t navigate in the world these days. But I try to leave, as Sundance wrote, as few fingerprints as possible in the digital universe regarding my monetary transactions.
Cash and coin will the medium of exchange when the lights go out. And they might go out because of how much energy it takes to manufacture a bitcoin. Snark intended.
be ready for a massive “economic crisis”… it will be necessary for the implementation of CBDC.
once cbdc is in place, all (formerly) free people will be relegated to new, Orwellian digital gulags.
The re-election of Grover Cleveland in 1892 after the fraudulent election of 1888 removed him (see Smithsonian Magazine article Nov 1998) was followed on by the Panic of 1893 – a depression created through financial entities that lasted until 1897, shortly after William McKinley was installed (he was later removed in 1901 utilizing a “lone nut”).
History rhymes.
Disagree. I don’t think it will take a crisis. We are already being primed for it without realizing. Here are a few examples:
Try paying for a public parking spot with cash at a meter that only takes CC# PLUS license plate.
Try signing up for school sports with papers. They’ll kick your kid out unless he provided medical papers and other digital records online to a for profit company with you must agree to non negotiable contracts.
Try getting a drivers license without being put on a third party database for testing and having state run facial recognition on you.
How do you know what the state is building behind the scenes without telling you for “security” reasons?
Next step from that: if you want your data or to access services just download the app and register. Sorry, the old system is gone and we don’t have paper, this is how we do it now.
We are almost there.
People will happily comply, it’s “progress”!!
I had a very un-nerving experience in Walmart….I had a tube of super glue that had to be ‘ok’d’ by the monitor person in self check out. I was only half way thru checking out my purchases when I had to stop for her approval.
I had to enter my ‘info’ meaning my card…so they could ‘verify’ I was allowed to purchase said item. She was very insistent I pay right then and there, while I still had more purchases to scan. I resisted…
She finally typed a few things in on the screen and moved on from me because I was not splitting my order into two payments I would have walked out first…Which leads me to wonder, do they have some sort of skimmer that can read my card or IL DL with the hologram? in my wallet and identify me? My gut was talking to me…saying that if I can imagine it, they are already doing it.
That was probably age related to make sure you weren’t going to sniff it.
Yes, the same thing happened to me at Home Depot when purchasing a can of spray paint. They asked for my birthdate. I was OK with that since I only had to give a verbal reply and not show ID.
Walmart like Whole Foods will not get my business.
Quit shopping at Walmart when they filed for a patent to track your heart rate, speed, grip, and temperature through shopping cart handle.
I filed my taxes today using a paper form and paid by check. I’m a senior citizen now and the system still accommodates me. LOL. I want the heaving digital system to choke on my paper biscuits.
Yes, there are a few places left where we can push paper but paper IS being choked out (especially with the youth/ training them for complete tracking and surveillance) and often even if you use paper it’s scanned in at the end point for digitization where AI and algorithms do their work.
Watch your state legislation carefully. Statutes have been passed to encourage, if not require, digital over paper.
We demand paper everywhere. Sometimes when you decline digital they suspect the worst. Now that’s an interesting story for another day.
Are we the only two filing paper, LOL?
There are others of us.
I pay my charge card bills with checks. Am barraged with suggestions to ‘save paper.’
TY, SD!
Sundance …… you’ve done it again. I get it! That analogy was a perfect illustration and gave the framework to hang the things I see happening around me. It makes sense! And THAT is the sweetest victory.
Deepest gratitude.
Why did the SEC recently approve Bitcoin ETFs if their plan is to outlaw Bitcoin? Is the plan to forbid the use of bitcoin, gold and silver coins and bullion as Roosevelt did to gold and silver in 1933? All will be redeemed at a reduced value into digital dollars. Once the government announces their plan the market for crypto, gold and silver will drop like a stone. Subsequently, after the markets for crypto, gold and silver stabilize and recover, the government will go on the world markets and sell these items at a premium.
“Their” plan is to deconstruct Governments the world over. IMO only DJT returning to the WH as POTUS can stop this mayhem. He needs to and will call out the WEF for what they are.
I’ve been worried about this since we went into lockdowns for Covid. These people really are that insane.
Maybe as an escapee of California, I have a more sensitive control and manipulation setting than some.
When they mandate you only have electric power by outlawing wood stoves and gas stoves, they control completely when you are allowed to have power.
When they control digital currency, they control completely when you are allowed to spend YOUR money.
A few possibilites:
Did not pay the taxes they think you owe?
Turn off your power, limit your ability to spend your money.
Did you drive too far or not on the government approved day?
No food for you, no gas/electricity for you, bad comrade.
Did you post a non-government approved meme or participate in a site without government approval?
Stay in your home, you will not have funds or be allowed to drive for one week, comrade.
Have a garden?
Shame on you, comrade, you are exacerbating Global Warming. For the planet’s health, we have cut your allowed food rations. Your digital currency has a lower limit this week.
Did you not register your weapons and ammunition with the government?
Bad comrade, we will need to confiscate anything not listed.
Did you try and use your digital currency for non-governmental approved purchases like firearms, bibles or political affiliation sanctioned by the government?
No digital currency for 6 months. No electricity for 1 month.
Appeals will be processed in the order received only via electronic submissions.
(I guess you’ll have to wait a month to even try an appeal)
You get the idea.
We are so close to this it is utterly devastating.
For those unawake, please wake up and bring as many with you as possible.
There are already stories from China of their currency being tied to a social credit system. Plenty of online horror stories.
I recall during Covid, a business refused to close, and so the Gummint had the ute company cut the power….so the owners brought in generators.
In SoCal we saw businesses forcibly closed, the power shut off and fences erected around them. Of course it was all ‘legal’, like the Nazis making the herding of Jews into boxcars ‘legal’.
In Texas, and I remember this because my exW owns a salon, a TX salon owner was arrested and jailed for operating her salon in defiance of state orders, never mind the revocation of her barbering license. She later ran for state legislature if memory serves. Was her license restored? Perhaps. Was she release from jail? Yes. Fear is the operation. Make examples of people to induce fear. The J6’ers exemplify this.
In Oregon, a number of doctors in private practice had their licenses and DEA suspended or revoked. I saw the documents from the Board of Medicine or whatever they call themselves myself and it was covered in media. Why? Because they actively resisted the Covid mandates and offered services and/or products which also went against the Covid mandates.
Will people climb into the literal or figurative boxcar? Or go underground and passively resist?Or play the game? Or resist? Or fight? Free will. I’ve already made my choice.
Come-on folks. Its not up to Trump, God, or Jesus. It’s up to you and me.
What do you think Trump has been doing? He has been showing you how bad it already is.
What do you think he is going to do? He is going to continue to show you how bad it continues to get. He is not going to save us, we will have to save him!
How does it get stopped? WE HAVE TO CHANGE!
We have to throw out the elected socialists, from the school boards and city councils all the the way to the Presidency. By voting in replacements who are not socialists. We have to get off of our A55es and figure out who needs to go and who needs to be brought in. No one, not even Trump is going todo that for you! The people we elect will have to control, replace, or eliminate the un-elected bureaucrats that form the Deep State.
Neither God, Trump, nor Jesus is going to do this for you! He has given YOU the power and authority to act in your own best interests. So please stop whining!!! This will take time. Six years for some Senators elected at the same time as Trump.
We do not have time for a few do-gooders to change the world for us. If we want to see it changed,
WE will have to do it OURSELVES!!
Are you ready? Which elected officials do you know that need to be replaced? Who needs to be elected?
Who have you told? To whom have you talked? The clock is running? Are you in the race?
Most school, library, election, etc. boards require that their members post a bond in order to serve.
If their bond is revoked they CANNOT SERVE.
YOU can get their bonds revoked.
Check out the website:
Bondsforthewin
to learn how.
An ancillary question would be who enforces the milieu of bond revocation and removal?
Our problem these days is enforcement, as the enforcers appear to operating more and more for the Communist regime and against those who fight it.
We could have a whole separate discussion on selective enforcement and prosecutorial and judicial ‘discretion’. 🙂
Go to the site, and READ.
The bond company posts the bond.
You go to them, with well documented and researched file, showing they have violated their oath of office or duty, and “file” it with the bonding company.
The elected official has so many days to file a responce, or forfeit. If they file responce, bonding co. has period of time to investigate; if they agree with you, they revoke bond, at which point official must step down, as they can not serve without being bonded.
The bonding company is looking to protect its interests, not the politicians.
Fascist corporations and who exactly is going to remove the prospective unbonded person from office in a regime that they work for?
I’m talking about how it really WORKS, not what some words on paper say.
We could have a very long discussion about how things today really WORK.
Who do the enforcers WORK for? Let’s talk about that. Perhaps start with PDJT as that excellent canary.
However, doesn’t work in Az. where the Gov takes out ONE bond, that covers almost all elected officials,…except County Sheriffs, who ARE required to secure their own.
“We have to throw out the elected socialists”
We need to throw out all elected utopian, statist, collectivists.
Socialists doesn’t scare anybody anymore, look at that meek, mild (and filthy rich) Bernie Sanders.
Using the three adjectives, utopian, statist, collectivist, covers them all.
Some of them are creating the garden of Eden, i.e. Heaven on Earth, some of them (too many) are truly iron-fisted totalitarians, and some (many, if not most) of them are like the Borg, pure, hive-mentality, unthinking cogs in the wheels of “progress”.
We need to lump them all together in the hope that some of our dear relatives will see themselves in this evil enterprise.
Globalism Thrives on Crisis

Excellent explanation and analogy, Sundance.
I’ve been saying since their introduction that CryptoCurrencies will be criminalized as soon as countries MANDATE their own CBDCs. As you say, the totalitarian Leviathan will permit no competition in trade and no liberty for the proles … CONTROL UBER ALLES!
“Everything in the State, nothing outside the State, nothing against the State.”
Outlawed, or coerced and bought (cryptocurrencies).
The safest havens are physical ones at this point.
That is also why we can’t have livestock in certain areas and why the yards are so small.
We cannot raise or grow enough to barter. Thank goodness I bought all those shoes. Not joking.
Learn to garden in small places and even indoors.
Raise rabbits, pigeons and quail for meat.
Buy and store FOOD, useful for yourself and loved ones and also for (careful) bartering.
Do a search on “aquaponics” fish give you fertiliser, plants keep the water clean for the fish.
Did some of that research a few years back – this is an excellent and healthy way to grow your own fruits, vegetables and protein (fish). Can be done in a small space also.

Excellent!
That one picture is worth a thousand words.
I read the explanation, and thanks (I think. Meaning I get it, but almost wish I didn’t.)
3 questions, (and I’m going back to slog thru comments in a bit, so ignore if these are already covered)
Isn’t this an awful lot like China, or North Korea, or East Berlin, only USA is behind the DIGITAL Iron Curtain ?
AND how long do think it will be until Canada, Australia, and the EU says to hell with this and rejoins the free world ?
Lastly, personal question. On a tight budget, current cell phone getting glitchy, and I finally decided on a new Samsung economy phone. But the one with larger memory, or various colors, not available in US, except by private sellers as an international version with no warranty in US. Is this why that’s happening?
Wow. Thanks. Remember that old blessing / curse – May you live in interesting times.
Yes, it is a curse.
Canada, Australia and the EU are further down the Digital Currency rabbit hole than we are.
This kicked into greater awareness during Covid. Yes, it is like China etc. I don’t know if you followed and watched how bad the enforcement troops were in Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the EU in general?
It reminded me of films I saw of the brownshirts from Germany pre-WWII.
I look at Covid and our compliance through masks, sheltering at home for what seemed like forever, and finally the attempt at mandating the “vaccines” as a trial run for our compliance or resistance.
Look at how many went online and vilified those not wearing a mask, staying at home or getting the “vaccine”.
They’ve worked hard to have a very vocal, active and discipline inclined enforcement for all that authoritarianism. Their backup was through their leftist DA’s, governors and far too many willing sellout RINO’s.
No clue on the phone, sorry.
Phones, cheap, budget, decent memory at Some Large Electronics Stores with the initials BB, maybe get a phone in the range of $200 + tax with a good 256 memory
As to the other questions, as they are already on the road to a complete servile populace (only the enforcement is not as extreme as it could be, but that is coming soon) the only major roadblock to absolute enforcement is lack of complete control over the populace (and the rest of the human world, as enforcing measures too hard at this time would result in a rebellion, and not a pretty one) they are well on their way to totalitarian control (in the future, you will see the turning off of devices in an area (blackout zone) so that there can be no unsanctioned media capture (that is citizen recording of extreme jackbootingon other citizens (known colloquially as dissidents and enemies of the state (state being the oppressive force in control by oppressive measures))) and the rest of the populace would be none the wiser (though the extreme state measures would still be reported the old fashioned way, eyewitness accounts via word of mouth) but that is a longer process and harder to gather and effective resistance force in a short amount of time.
Cheers
My bait phone is a similar economy Samsung, unlocked and on a pre-paid plan. It keeps anyone wondering where I am scratching their head why the phone appears to have not moved in six months, presuming they can access the turned-off location services and geolocate it from the one tower five miles away. Also, its camera stares at a shelf and a radio plays oldies next to it 24/7. That should give the government goons enough info to know who I am. Where I am? Heh, heh. 🙂
It’s worked great. However, since there’s no wi-fi around, it can’t get a software update. So sad. Every app other than what makes the phone work is disabled. I found it out by bricking it to the point of doing factory resets to hunt down the essentials. Very time consuming.
Probably off-topic to CBDC but, hey, questions deserve answers. 🙂
Don’t trust settings, consider a Faraday box. Have you ever done an update? Updates change settings.
To answer questions…it’s a bait phone. I don’t want to hide it.
Also, the post mentioned the update part, in that the phone will only take updates via Wi-fi and annoys me periodically whenever I’m around to check it that I haven’t had any updates yet. There is no wi-fi nearby in the canyon and what I’ve seen is all secured behind passwords. Yes, I’m an old wardriver and used to run an unsecured WDS just to see who logged on it back when I was in CA.
So far that lack of updates hasn’t bricked the phone. If it does I’ll get another cheap phone and swap the sim, which is what I did to get that one.
I like your style, thanks for the response.
You’re my kind of neighbor.
Interesting ‘work around’.
I think that the EU is as much behind this as the USA, it’s called “globalism” for a reason.
Sundance is trying to show that it’s not all so “global” just the West.
This may have already been mentioned/discussed but those of us Vets that receive $ for disability or retirement can easily have our funds shut off for being in the wrong party or saying the wrong thing online and our $ won’t be turned back on until we’ve come back “into compliance”. THIS is what a digital currency can do…
So, with an informal poll of fellow vets you know, ask how many know about the Bonus Army and, if they do, what do they think about a government who’d do that to their vets, or what you envision with CBDC.
I’d be curious to know how many combat vets out there support the patriot movement and that inscription on the wall of the Jefferson Memorial from the Declaration of Independence regarding ‘the pledge’.
IDK, perhaps it’s just me but I wouldn’t want to piss off ex-mils of any stripe. Wrong crowd to have against one if things go sideways.
50/50, 60/40, 40/60? Don’t put all of your eggs in that basket.
With over 20 million ex-mils out there, even a small movement in percentages would mean some pretty large movements in human terms.
Personally, I saw a lot of ex-mils in the convoy, particularly in leadership and security. I would consider them aligned with patriots. There are some still out there making waves too. I recognized at least one at the Texas border conflict that was covered recently.
I would expect them, if they’re anything like the locals I know, to keep a low profile and not make waves. I only know them through combat medicine courses and not personally. My dad was like that. Only way I knew about what he did in Italy was his letters home and those were pretty sanitary, as they should be.
The combat vets have been key in toughening me up, both mentally and physically. Those of us who didn’t get sent off to the war in the 60’s kinda had it soft. Guilty as charged.
How much money goes to veterans every year in direct benefits, medical benefits, aid and attendance and other disbursements? How will that work under CBDC? How much control will that exert over their personal choices and allegiances? IDK. Good questions.
I believe a useful framework for understanding all these pieces and how they fit together is the “Ends, Ways, Means” technique for strategic analysis.
CBDC, the SWIFT network, “de-banking,” sanctions regimes — these are all WAYs to employ Financial MEANS toward achieving the ultimate ENDs.
Those Ends being complete Globalist Pan-State Control.
Or put another way, CBDC is a WAY for them to get closer to an END, not the END in and of itself. CBDC is only one of many Ways used to apply one of many Means. Globalist Pan-State Control is what they ultimately want. If CBDCs help push the world toward Globalism then they support CBDCs. If somehow CBDCs prove to be ineffective or become counterproductive toward delivering Globalism then they will drop CBDC immediately.
The Ends change rarely if ever. The Means are fairly constant but can wax and wane in importance. The Ways change continually.
Those who are pushing toward Globalist Ends also have many other Means available to them along with an unlimited range of Ways to leverage those available Means.
For example they employ the Warfare/Military means through the Ukraine war, through the Gaza war, through posturing at NATO and around the world, etc. They use the Border-Control means to erode sovereignty, to apply economic and social/cultural pressure on populations, to stress every institution in a society. They use Media/Information-Ops means to drive whatever narrative is convenient and to suppress contrary information.
Whenever possible they strive to find synergistic applications combining several Means. As an example the huge spending on wars (military means) also helps them push inflation, incentivizes non-globalist countries to de-dollarize and hastens western financial collapse (all various Ways to leverage both Financial and Military means.) All of which contributes in a mutually-reinforcing way to push toward their ultimate ENDs.
Simultaneously there are always parallel campaigns underway employing every available Means they can bring to bear: Regulatory policy, Border-Control policy, Health/Medical, Media/Information-Ops, Cultural/Academic, Lawfare etc.
All I know is the QR code is everywhere on every thing. It started gradually a bit before pre-covid, then while under lock down it went full on. You can’t get away from it. I refuse to use it and people think I am crazy. I remember when the bar codes came out, for “inventory”, but the QR code feels very different. We are the inventory. I find it creepy and people aren’t thinking twice about using it.
I agree. I don’t use QR codes either!
I’m trying to include a meme of a beautiful baby with a barcode on its forehead. In the barcode are hands wrapped in the bars, like the bars are a prison. Very powerful meme.
The link for the image is bad, sorry I can’t share it.
Did I pick right?
Yes! Thank you so much, I deeply appreciate all you do. This is the cherry on top. 😉
Incredibly demonstrative….and scary as hell.
That’s truly horrifying. If I had the bucks, I’d put a very, very big version of this on billboards from sea to shining sea. If this won’t make people think, nothing will.
That is pretty much what my gut tells me these things are for.
Glad it isn’t just me. I keep wondering how long it will be before you are not allowed to purchase or do something unless you use the QR code?
QR Codes are becoming an effective way to spread computer viruses as well.
All my junk mail has QR codes along with bar codes…
They sure are creepy!!
Never used one, schools are fully deploying with students.
Want to go to homecoming, scan qr code to get info and register / pay at a third party.
Want to know morning announcements, scan the qr code.
It isn’t easy to get by in High school while refusing tech surveillance!!
Teach your kids to demand paper and textbooks. Stand up to schools when they act like tyrants.
That is what I think is the plan, if you don’t use the QR code you don’t get entry, or can’t purchase something, or it will get used against you. It is a tracking device, like so many other things in this world we live in, but this one is different from all the others. Even my physical therapist has one. If you want to leave him a review, snap the QR code. I would love to give him a positive response, he deserves it, but I am not going to put his QR code in my phone.
Totally agree. I will not use them, ever.
Does anyone else have issues on Apple devices where pages like this constantly crash or refresh? I’ve had to type this message three times because the page crashed.
Can’t even click the icon for updates
Try Brave browser.
Change your browser to Brave. Also use Brave search engine. No more crashes or pop-ups on iPhone.
I use an Apple ‘device’ to access the forum, actually three, the oldest of which dates from about 20 years ago, and so far things have gone smoothly. However, they are all desktop/laptop computing devices, not cell phones or cellular/other tablet devices.
All run either MacOs or Linux and have either, as mentioned by others, Brave browsers or ad blocking software installed.
Footballfan33: Access to certain websites will vary based upon whether you are using wireless or cellular, and whether you are on your home netw0rk (for wireless), or whether you are on another wireless network that restricts traffic for various reasons (security, being one reason), or whether your cellular signal is sufficient. There are a lot of technical reasons that you may be having trouble using the CTH website.
Excellent point that I overlooked. I have both; this post is sent via wireless (wi-fi) to a hotspot and then through a cellular relay. It appears most of the sniffing sees the final node judging by the location information the spam targets.
As a note, though slower to load, the site still seems to work fine on a VPN or through a TOR browser. However, I rarely use those for CTH.
iPhone constantly crashing this website
Ultimately, some of us will be forced to sell our bodies in order to eat. Those of us with unattractive bodies are out of luck.
I’m definitely out of luck. Old and unattractive. I’ve left my body for the cat to eat, presuming the enemy doesn’t remove my corpse. She seems to like liver. Fava beans, not so much. Jury’s out on the Chianti. 😉
Lolololol.
Same boat, different pond.
Excellent and informative article – I’ve shared this with a number of friends and relatives.
Ok, I haven’t read all the feedback, but didn’t Fani just prove removing cash would be “racist”? Also, how would the small time criminals survive in the lower class neighborhoods without physical cash? Even the new Democrat voters from south of the border are not going to want to barter for the activity.
Excellently done, complicated but likely some type of barter would arise. BTC and other crypto can flourish and do on P2P. Barter or mask as a grey zoner.🤔
Yes, barter can be tricky. I offered bricks for fuel, as one example, but coming up with the requisite number of diesel drums for the tonnage of bricks I offered was a problem, so cash was the intermediate solution. I moved about ten thousand bricks as one of many raw materials I stock for the alternative economy.
BTW, I reported that barter income on my business taxes because it did get transferred though cash. My dad worked for the government after the war and always said, son, report all your income. Expenses can vary. 🙂
Whiskey, ammo, canned goods, cigs = barter materials.
It is about control on a broad scale and a microscale you are going to enter every dystopian novel you have ever read.well i wont i will be gone by then, but it is coming no escaping it now.
The funny thing is the youngsters revelling in their fake freedoms while their real ones are taken away
So the difference is that a digital dollar is not fungible.
yes the digital dollar is non-fungible
and the ledger is private
and the ledger is controlled by the government
and the digital dollar is programmable (meaning a dollar can be given an expiration date, among other things)
First of all I am not a snitch.(LOL;sure pal) but I would like to do some of the above and have been asking friends all who look at me like I am a loon. I hope Sundance doesn’t erase this. Since we all feel we are being monitored; how in the heck do you find these folks?
That is an excellent question.
I wish I knew the answer.
Get on a plane. Sundance layed it all out, in his protected from spiders postings.
He told where to go, geographic location, and where to go once there, when he talked about just sitting and listening.
Its all there, in the archives you just need to do your own research.
I wouldn’t know today but I found a lot of good contacts through the expat community in the FSU when I was there back in the 90’s. It was like the wild west after the fall of Communism there. Forex, my interpreter worked for the government and my driver appeared to be ‘connected’ and demonstrated knowledge that supported his story of being a retired MiG pilot for the
RussianSoviet Air Force. My girlfriend had been a doctor in the Soviet Army.I made a lot of contacts for a lot of things, including money and visa registrations/extensions, etc, that way. My driver had something he’d hand to cops whenever they stopped us and they always let us go. It wasn’t money, rather some sort of card. I have no idea what it was. He never appeared to need money; I only paid him at the end of each trip and it was very reasonable.
IMO, it’s who you know. It all started with a couple of cold calls to what were known back then as mail order bride agencies stateside, and went from there. There was an early e-mail list at St. John’s University which was also helpful once I got internet in the mid-90’s.
Look into offshore banking. Lots of countries are like Switzerland used to be like.
The map of gray/yellow is temporary and will likely soon settle into a map of the three spheres depicted by Orwell in 1984.
The three zones will be at war with one another. Except when they are at peace. Perpetual war with intermittent peace will secure the power of the regimes. The aim of each zone is to keep its people captive. (Thanks, Sundance, for your insight into how “sanctions” work.)
The regimes are Oceania (yellow), Eurasia (Brics), and Eastasia (China and its sphere of influence). Brics is the most unstable and therefore may offer the best options for financial mobility?
“The West” already has sanctioned the Mir system (Russia) and credit cards, which Russia launched to counter sanctions on Russian use of Visa and Mastercard.
East Asia Red?
I’m trying to think through this information, in particular the part about crypto becoming illegal.
I am trying to reconcile that with what has been said about large entities like Blackrock having such power.
Since Blackrock and Fidelity and other large entities have crypto funds, wouldn’t they want it to remain legal?
How would it being illegal benefit them?
I had been thinking that regular crypto was one of the answers to the problem.
Here’s one version, supported by many examples of Communist hypocrisy…. crypto will be available to/ legal for them but not for us.
Making something illegal, invariably increases its percieved value.
I too was hoping crypto could be the “new gold” but have been worrying about it since I do not trust my government. But will Black Rock, Fidelity, etc. lose much money if Feds outlaw Bit Coin? They have used other peoples money to buy Bit Coin and the Feds say it is now worthless. They haven’t lost much and can claim it is not their fault. Bit Coin and all crypto throughout the world will drop sharply in value but gradually regain value in the grey parts of the world. Then Black Rock, Fidelity, etc. can take the coins to the grey countries and sell them for a large profit since they bought them with other peoples money. Or the Feds can confiscate all crypto coins owned by their citizens and trade them for a profit.
Roosevelt did something similar in 1933 when he made it illegal to own silver and gold coins and bullion, then purchased it from the rightful owners at $16 dollars an ounce and then declared the price of gold at $32 an ounce. Thus all the gold in the US government treasury doubled in value overnight.
For those who don’t see the problem, two words:
Canadian truckers.
Yes, great example, and it showed also the power of the people when they began to drain the Canadian banking industry.
I think folks are afraid. I don’t blame them. Tyranny is scary stuff. It can be paralyzing.
I watched ‘The Pianist’ the other day and could see the fear and indecision portrayed in the faces and actions of most of the Jews, with very few fighting the almost suicidal battle against the Nazis, until very late in the war when the Allies and Russians were closing in. Then they were more aggressive.
That’s off-topic to the particulars of the tyranny we’re facing but a good example of the human condition.
To really understand, look to the Bible.
Mark of the Beast requires a CBDC system, later to evolve to a Central World Digital Currency system, likely requiring a chip implant in the forehead or hand.
No buying or selling without it.
And that leads to robbers, cutting out the chip, or just cutting off hand or head.
Duh, don’t want no i.d. based on retinal scan or thumprint, either for obvious reasons!
Yep, we’ve seen that portrayed in sci-fi movies for decades. Now we face the very real possibility of it coming to us personally and with both uniformed and mercenary enforcers to back it. Does that sound too alarmist? OK.
Prepare accordingly.
You can lead a horse to water….but you can’t make it think.
Hmmm this thread still seems active, so I will add this comment: in a deflationary depression, like the US Great Depression, no one spends money, everyone hoards it. One solution central banks have discussed for this would be to force you to spend it. How to do that? Make it expire, in days, weeks, months. Spend it or lose it. This is made easy by CBDCs. The specific serialized “money” you got today will expire in 7 days. Enjoy!
I would hope the kind of stark reality you posit would wake up the comatose among us.
However, it is not without precedent, meaning the government ad-hoc bans things and wastes citizen’s assets in the process. We could spend a whole thread discussing what they’ve done to firearms in the last century and that’s but one small example but an important one since COTUS limits government power in such actions which invade upon our essential rights.
There are other rights which are routinely invaded by government we can discuss. That raid on the safety deposit boxes in Beverly Hills, an ongoing battle, is one. How much PM and cash were in there? IDK. I’ll bet plenty.
The government can make up a narrative, their enforcers will seize property under force of death if one resists, and keep it, sometimes forever, sometimes for years as the legal process that the Communists control grinds out. That’s today’s reality.
We see them threatening PDJT, or actually raiding him, today. Not much ambiguity there 🙂
Another is centralised govt. control freaks LOVE wage/price controls,…CBDC’s would give them a level of control way beyond anything seen before!
A BIG Thank You, Sundance! Waking people up to this nightmare is job #1. Ending it is job #2. The time is Now!
I’d like to contact one of the organizations you mention that help people become financial prepares. Can you share contact information?
The fact that the EU Farmers are waging war on the EU will, I believe have an impact greater than on farming. They are shedding light on the the WEF’s plan on taking over the world. May they, by the Grace of God be successful in their acts.
I’ll do an experiment. For the next month I’ll ask people I have casual interaction with how much they know about the farmer strikes and protests in Europe. I’ll also ask them about the Canadian convoy a couple years ago. And the U.S. convoy.
Historically, and I can look in the mirror myself wrt the 60′-80’s, people’s awareness is driven by the media they consume. Local newspapers and 3 TV stations and magazine subscriptions was my source back in the day, plus the library. Imagine the effects of that?
Also, the grindstone….. government and the elite keep the prols nose to the grindstone to enjoy the American dream and pay those bills and get ahead and keep up with the Joneses…… and breathless and impotent to keep up with what the other hand is doing. We see that today more than ever.
Keep us informed. I’m interested in your anecdotal information.
Anecdotally I would say that if Biden were to win the next election, it’s 100% surety that it was due to fraud.
And I say that being 100% sure that the last one was stolen, but I see the utopian, statist, collectivist base gnashing their teeth on an almost daily basis, which I did not see in 2020.
Will do. I had an hour walk with the neighbor lady yesterday, she’s in her early 60’s and a retired nurse and she knew nothing specific about the protests or convoys but was well versed and decidedly anti-vax on the Covid op.
We’re going for another walk tomorrow, Easter, (i need the exercise!) and I’ll ask her about CBDC then. The thing with women is it can be problematic to overwhelm them. They shut down. I guess I lack finesse. Heh, maybe that’s why my wife left. 😀
rita: Although the EU farmers are doing great work with their protests, they have no 2nd Amendment and very limited access to firearms. All globalist EU plans will go forward. The EU elites are not afraid of the public.
This right here is a big issue that I think has gone under the radar, especially for the right.
Here’s the kicker:
If we don’t nip this in the bud, then we are in a whole lotta trouble . I mean this is like heading towards “Minority Report” territory.
Question?: If you are able to set up accounts in the grey area accessible via a non-standard smartphone circumventing the controls, they could easily flip that switch too and your access to the grey zone would be cut off completely, true?
One can avoid a smartphone altogether and employ alternative methods of communicating with such contacts in other countries and accessing assets there. I won’t profess to know the details yet but, as my father always said, the more you know the more you know how little you know.
Learning goes on throughout life until we’re dead, presuming we want to learn. Seems like a good reason right now, yes?
CBDCs are the equivalent of airline frequent flyer miles or the “loyalty points” issued by some businesses.
They entire program is changeable at a whim by the issuer (the government) who can cancel, reissue, change the value or expire all credits at any time for any reason. Just like those programs the government can arbitrarily change the rules on how you may be credited new CBDCs and arbitrarily change how, where and when you are allowed to exchange them for goods or services. They may or may not be exchangeable for other forms of CBDC. They have no inherent value outside of the issuing system.
Just like loyalty points and miles the real purpose of CBDC is to bind you to the issuer, track your usage and make it harder for you to switch to a different “provider” once you have accumulated a substantial balance.
They are not really money. They can be used to buy some stuff but they are not real money.
I was a mileage runner for about a decade from the late 90’s on, and boy did we game that system to the max. It allowed a relatively poor guy to see the world. No complaints 🙂
I’ll bet people will find a way to game the CBDC system as well, presuming it’s implemented.
However, your concerns are well-taken. Now, today the main ‘cancellations’ are through asset seizures by force and/or operation of law, and inflation. Inflation cancelled a lot of cash ‘value’ during the Covid operation, as one recent example.
The door is open for more arbitrary cancellation and we’re dealing with Communist humans besides and they’ve shown us their ass plenty so far.
Hence, my choice is physical defensible assets and limited exposure to currency or the financial system. I’d prefer none but that minimal SS each month does buy food, power and ammunition, for now. I fully expect that to change if this tyranny comes to pass. 🙂
Cash, in one form or another, will never disappear. Black markets will immediately spring to life, and the size of these markets will dwarf the gubmint system, making it obsolete almost as soon as it begins. They think we’re stupid, but it is they who are stupid. We are the many, they are the few, and there are not enough of them to enforce their insane edicts.
If the black market/underground economy can stabilize trust in tender outlawed by the government, that would work fine. A lot depends on trust. Prior, people could flow their assets into and out of the black market because the currency worked in both places.
Now, it appears the government will phase out the currency, stop printing/minting it and accept it at financial institutions in trade for CBDC and then destroy it and, after an amnesty period, end its systemic use entirely.
What remains in the wild will be worthless outside of the black market if that market creates a value for it and traders trust it. Still, it wouldn’t translate outside of the black market.
That’s my understanding so far.
Seems to me this is going to create a massive black market/alternative way of doing business to the cbdc. No?
I think one aspect that hasnt been fleshed out is how cbdc would effect retail/commercial banking. The whole scam of banks is fractional reserve banks where you utilize checkbook money with real peoplea deposits. With cbdc, banks would have to utilize timed deposits if they wanted to do any sort of lending? Perhaps the cbdc they are talking about is just attaching an id to any dollar once allocated to a retail/commercial party so the lending scam can continue.
I’m not sure that I follow you completely. Could you elaborate?
kudos to our host for sticking with the topic!
i was one of those ambivalent types,
i.e.: don’t like cbdc but figured the only way i could defend against it was to elect someone who actually understood and could do something about it (PDJT).
however, this article managed to grind the topic down into pieces a cbdc dummy like me would, and could, digest.
(it was the iphone explanation that did it.😁)
Voting is important, as is making personal decisions in one’s own best interest. No one cares about you, or your assets, more than you do. I think each person should make fiscal and security decisions
wherewhich are best for them. Each situation is different.I fully expect plenty to play the CBDC game without concern or complaint. We got a taste of that in the aftermath of the Covid op. Talk to anyone who played the Covid game, meaning they went along with all the government and corporate edicts during it, and see what comes back. Some will always be like that.
I respect that. The only time I draw the line is when they, or their enforcers, try to impose their way of life and personal choices on me, whether though coercion, mendacity, or threat of force or death. Then we have a problem )
I’m battling the big banks and their big brain lawyers right now and, so far, well, I can’t afford a nice M16 yet with what I’ve scored from them but I’m working on it. 🙂
That brought up an interesting aside…. how will CBDC affect unsecured debt? How much unsecured debt is out there right now? Anyone know? Plenty of folks have far more unsecured debt than liquid cash. That should be interesting. Slaves to the company store?
I found myself saying, “I hate to say this, but most people really don’t care. For some, the issue is esoteric, abstract, and difficult to comprehend. For others, there is a massive blanket of comfortable ambivalence until the consequences hit. For the few who understand, this is extremely troubling.”
I don’t believe that it is entirely a lack of understanding.
Preparing for the upcoming collapse would be almost a full time job and many of us are already working full-time if not more.
I see no way to completely prepare for this, but the gist is that prepared citizens should withdraw as much of their assets from financial entities and convert them into barterable goods and have as much food stored as possible, which is very difficult to do when our own government is spying on our accounts and there are laws limiting these movements.
I truly believe that at this point a lot of us are completely FUBAR and a lot of people are waiting for the SHTF event.
Please excuse the vulgarity.
Plus the government is making the currency worthless with it’s spending.
Both featured comments are from women. Or simps.
Thank you Sundance!
I refrain to say ‘you’re preaching to the choir’.
I am fully aware of WHAT they are trying to do — and are working hard to get all of the mechanics into place.
Still, I am left with the QUESTION — of — WHAT can I personally do????
And that seems to be the question that no one can answer.
WHAT can I personally do to NOT become a part of this digital currency & this digital world.
I want absolutely no part in any of it.
Further — nor do I want my children & grandchildren enslaved by some sort of economic system which dictates what they can, and cannot do.
From what I currently know about a CBCD system is that is exactly what it does.
A centrally controlled digital economic system will CONTROL absolutely every aspect of everyone’s life.
Period.
You mentioned one important avenue of ‘do’, tangentially, when mentioning your children and grandchildren. Open a dialogue with them. Lay it out. Use your long life experience to provide examples and clarifications that they can assess independently.
My family is dead and I see very few humans regularly so changing hearts and minds is relatively low on my list and besides I kinda suck at it; always have. I believe in personal independence and choice and leaving others alone in life to make choices that are between them and God.
You have opportunity. You also are blessed with a living family. That’s wonderful. The more people who are educated among their own families and close social groups the more organized patriots will become, regardless of their role or position.
I think we’re in for a long hard slog and children, grand children and great grandchildren are elemental to surmounting the challenges we face.
The good news is, in this information age, we can research, learn and discriminate information independently. It’s a wonderful gift 🙂
Part of the answer you seek…

Thank you, much clearer now.
God bless you
So, is this Digital Currency scheme something that President Trump can stop?
Trump said there won`t be one when he gets in.
I’m guessing he can delay it but doubt he can stop it beyond his term, if he gets a new term. This is so important to the new world order people I doubt they will ever let him win another term.
I know about it, and I care. But, there is nothing I can do about it. The governmet will do this to us to have full control over our lives. FULL control. Why? Because they don’t need our votes. They make their own. And the courts make sure that each trial about this is dismissed before the participants get to the part where they can present evidence. Then the Mockingbird media claims that “no evidence has ever been presented.”
That perspective has lots of precedence in history. We examine only the last century and see an amazing plethora of examples, and the results, both. positive and negative.
When I read the post I think of how Wladyslaw Szpilman went along with the Nazis, at least by appearance, to survive. He suffered for a few years until Warsaw and Poland were liberated but watched as plenty of his fellow Jews, and others either fought or were outright murdered by the Nazis. He found a way to survive and go back to playing the piano and almost lived to see the movie made about him.
What of those who fought and died? Did their full and final measure of resistance to tyranny help, in some small way, the pianist to live to play again? Interesting, isn’t it? The milieu of how choices and timelines and outcomes flow. I’ve always been fascinated by it.
In any event, some might call your post a defeatist attitude post. I do not. I welcome the reality of dealing with overwhelming challenges that seem insurmountable, or are in fact insurmountable. What choices do we have? As long as we breathe, we have choices. I wish others well in theirs 🙂
Didn’t the Greek (or Italian) Govt some years ago take (steal/tax) 10% out of everyone’s bank accounts?
I saw this piece from 2015, but didn’t do a deep dive to find more examples…..
“The Greek government shut all banks in the country on June 29 after the European Central Bank capped emergency funding to the lenders.
Cash withdrawals from ATMs are now limited to €60 a day (about US$67) for Greek citizens. Foreigners who can find an ATM with cash are exempt from the limit, but cash-poor tourists are finding it very hard to find ATMs with money.
More importantly, Greece has made the first step down the road to capital controls by prohibiting the transfer of money to destinations outside Greece unless approved by the Ministry of Finance.”
It doesn’t take much. Covid provided an excellent example of which societies were obedient and which weren’t. I’d say we were, on the whole, pretty obedient. Was it softening us up for the main event? My scary version generator finds that reality to involve a lot more than CBDC. It’s a tool though. An important one IMO.
YES. Was that Cyprus?
I think it was Crete. And we now have a law that allows our banks to do the same thing.
SD, what happened for the people who do have cash in their house and they go to the digital dollar, say within the 1st year?
Say you need a new furnace and have the cash to pay for it. My contractor would actually pick up and pay for the furnace from his distributor, then I reimburse him for the furnace and his labor to install in cash when he’s done with the job.
So what you’re saying is once my contractor picks up the furnace, the furnace is his because it has his digital footprint on it? Would it not work in my house because it’s his?
If you now have cash at home you will be notified to deposit it into your account at a bank within a defined date. This cash will be converted to digital cash. When the furnace is ordered your contractor will pay for it from his digital account. When he installs it you will pay for it from your digital account. The block chain ledger will record all the changes in ownership and transfers of digital dollars. If you keep cash beyond a certain defined time, it will be worth nothing.
This clip might help convey the general idea that Sundance is trying to get across.
The thematic element is approximately correct, despite the details & technology involved being somewhat different.
Imagine you’ve been BLOCKED… by everyone, or rather, FROM everyone:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=-2zyoHC8OpY%3Fstart%3D4108%26end%3D4168
If I’m reading the larger conversation correctly, Sundance is saying: ‘This is bad, particularly bad. We need to stop it.’
The Wolverines are saying: ‘Sure this is bad, but how is this materially different than what they can already do to us.’
So who’s right here, Sundance or the Wolverines?
Everyone. Everyone’s right.
It’s already bad.
The CBDC – and the digital ID that will come with it – just makes it easier and more effortless for some bureaucrat somewhere to shut off your access to whatever they want, with the press of a button, for any reason, or for no reason at all.
We all know that people like “Nasty” Nuland would take great pleasure in lording this sort of control over everyone.
So what’s our recourse?
I’ve been watching us fight this battle – piecemeal – for my entire life.
We gear up for a big battle over free speech, or 2A rights, or regulation, or jobs, or economic policy, or a hundred other things; sometimes we win, often we lose, and the very next week there are a handful of new battles that we have to fight.
This is a losing strategy. Again, I’ve been watching us lose this battle my whole life.
We steadily lose ground doing this, because we don’t have the organization, or the resources, or the time necessary to properly gear up for each new battle in order to win all of these fights – and these fights never stop coming.
Ultimately, why are we losing? Because we aren’t addressing the Root Cause.
What’s the root cause?
The thing that’s attacking us.
Stop it, and the battles quit coming.
Dismantle the administrative state – the regulatory state – and the mechanisms used to attack us largely evaporate.
Unless you want to keep fighting a never-ending series of battles to keep your gas stove and the million other things they’ll try to take, this is what needs to be done.
The phrase is apt:
Government should be small enough that you can drown it in a bathtub. (Because then it’s not a threat.)
And preferably, it should be a bathtub that’s not far away; like not further than a short drive, or just across the street, or down the hall. (Short power distances.)

Ughhh! Sorry, can’t get it to embed!
Timestamped videos don’t appear to embed. I thought they once did but it doesn’t work anymore. Thanks for the link though. It works fine 🙂
What if Donald argues that Emergency banking act of 1933 severed the link to our republic & converted the US into an entity that functions & behaves like a corporation. Then that corporate lookalike entity declares banruptcy and restructures its debt and banking.

Well thank you to all the sheeples who just had to have a smart phone, just had to have “apps” and thrill to QR code transactions, and put themselves and their entire lives on already watchable and logged GPS trackers that they even carry with themselves into the bathroom…
and ditch their landlines and desktop computers because everyone’s a trauma surgeon who just has to be “connected” 24/7, and ditch their checkbooks because it’s just too much trouble to go to the bank… and reading a map is too hard… or writing on paper ditto… nevermind alexa, siri, IoT, new cars that are the equivalent of traveling digital currency smartphonecages not to mention EVs, and fitbits, and agreeing to signing in “electronically”… zoom meetings… and oooh oooh oooh the “cloud”…
Is life really better? Not to mention we are totally screwed in a long-term electricity outage…
Please someone explain to me again what the draw is with cryptocurrency of any kind? and why anyone needs it? (And no, I don’t take “zell” — cash, check, or direct wire transfer only)…
We invited all this in in less than 20 years… Apparently everyone must follow the latest fashions. But stuff can’t be implemented where there’s no demand, or where there’s just not sufficient market saturation all ripe and ready to be able practicably to require the technology.
I’ve been yelling and warning against cell phones etc. for what seems like forever but no one listens… I guess I’m just an old not with-it reactionary curmudgeon.
So much for throwing sand in the machine.

Most people today don’t realize they were born inside the system.. There are many forms of unique ids and they have existed in some form for decades. You could always use cash, but the moment you used a device to swipe.. a CC or bank account tied to a cell phone number, or address tied to a your favorite grocery store, usually for discounts. or typing in your home or cell phone number at the register for discounts. Any means of collecting discounts or tallying your purchases for whatever sales bonus was/is logging your position and purchase data for collection. Decades ago it was slow and the collection was arduous. It was scattered and in pieces. They didn’t have much at first, but as the databases slowly coalesced one merger at a time.. It’s all just a database.. “ A lot of tape and a little patience make all the difference.” it’s not difficult at all to tie each CCard to each address to each phone to each cell phone over the decades, every phone number and address you lived at and every store you bought anything. Combing that with all the crap people dump on Social media. All that knowledge and all it’s uses is ripe for the abusing. It’s no real wonder why they want to keep the current systems of control in place. It’s more than trillions..
I have also noticed that a few sites are asking for biometrics to bypass the username/password log in.
