Keep this list handy. These are the twenty Republicans who are stealth Democrats and voted against Jim Jordan. Yes, there are some surprises, including John James of Michigan.
The 20 who voted against Jordan are: Tony Gonzales (TX), Kay Granger (TX), Mario Diaz Balart (FL), Mike Kelly (PA), John Rutherford (FL), Mike Simpson (Idaho) Steve Womack (Arkansas), Lori Chavez DeRemer (OR), Don Bacon (NE), Carlos Gimenez (FL), Jennifer Kiggans (VA), Mike Lawler (NY), Doug LaMalfa (CA), Anthony D’Espositio (NY), Andrew Garbarino (NY), Nick LaLota (NY), Jake Ellzey (TX), Ken Buck (CO), John James (MI), Victoria Spartz (IN).
Accept things as they are, not as we would pretend them to be.
(Via Politico) – The Ohio Republican failed to get the 217 votes he needed to clinch the gavel during Tuesday’s first ballot, with 20 GOP votes against him. The House recessed immediately after the vote concluded, and it’s unclear when a second ballot will occur.
Some lawmakers aren’t optimistic it will happen anytime soon, with Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) saying confidently to reporters as he exited the floor: “Have a good evening everyone.”
The pause will allow Jordan to meet with some of the 20 Republican holdouts to try and bring them into his camp before voting again. Recessing before continuing on to a second ballot will allow sorely divided Republicans to regroup in private away from the House floor and potentially consider their strategy.
Many Jordan allies had predicted it could take multiple ballots, but it’s unclear if they’ll be able to flip enough holdouts in subsequent votes. (read more)
It is absolutely critical that we know who will align against President Trump in 2024. This list of 20 House “Republicans” should serve as a generally good outline to remember.
It will take more votes than it took McCarthy(15). The effeminate GOPe want some payback.
Shut it down!
Term Limits please
We have them, every two and six years. However we have McCain Feingold, or as Rush would call it, The Incumbent Preservation Act.
No, we do not. Ever hear of gerrymandering? We need a hard stop – term limits.
California has term limits. You should move out here and see how well it works.
No need. California is lost, term limits or not.
We can see the effect of not having term limits in congress every dya.
NO!
What if I like my representative? Not that there are any I like yet, but what if?
And I do not want you or anyone else telling me I can NOT VOTE for someone because YOU want to make me VOTE for someone else.
Pretty damned unconstitutional telling people who they are even allowed to vote for in a primary.
Totalitarians, always totalitarians in hiding. Just give it a little rub like Democrats and you find another totalitarian that demand compliance to perform everything THEIR way because they too are the only “smart” ones.
How about “REMOVING”, revocation is a term you could use, people’s voting rights.
Same thing.
You could restore the voting rights to what they were before the the act of Congress with the draft that gave men the right to vote, and women the right to vote, back to just property owners. It would get rid of the overwhelming fraud from the cities as they are mostly renters. Better than welfare queens voting more “free” socialized monies stolen from the working class.
The best would be an informed people, but that will take some decades before that will be possible with the indoctrinated drones of the citizenry. Even Republicans voted for a satanic worshipping cross dressing or transthing as their sheriff. He had run before and they never let him near, but when he ran as a Republican, BAM, they voted him in, Intellectually laziness and uninformed masses of sheep.
YOU NEED AN INFORMED POPULACE
“If we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every American to be informed.” – Thomas Jefferson
This is not the worse news as McCarthy had 20 against him at first and now Jordan knows who to pressure and give favors to.
Maybe he’ll write them a strongly worded memo.
Or form a committee, conduct endless meetings and accomplish nothing.
But that endless meeting drew monies for the fraud from the citizenry as needed for their wealth transference.
Kay Granger(2nd on your Hit Parade)is Wendy Davis without the tennis shoes/Susan Collins/Lisa Murkowski/Olympia Snowe; she was a multi-term mayor of Ft. Worth as a democrat, changed parties to run for Congress and appeal to wider voter base in her electoral district, a wider base than just the City of Ft. Worth provided; SOP for Texas democrats in conservative clothing aka DICCs; BTW, Ft. Worth is blue like all other Texas metro areas.
Surprise is that McCaul and Crenshaw are not on the list, go figure.
Hiding in plain site.
Don’t worry, the bad guys will now be encouraged, and they promised JJ only the first ballot. Now they’ll bolt.
Wendy Davis’s political doppelganger is she?
(Davis was the Girl Scouts’ Woman of the Year a while back. She is Pro Baby Killing.)
Say no more.
Abortion Barbie?
She’s the one👍🏻
thanks for that, Wendy Davis without the tennis shoe’s. LOL. Davis ran for Texas Governor once upon a time, Yes? Silly Liberals.
John James… 8 years in the U.S. Army… so, you know… Putin ‘N Stuff…
I look for him to vote with the democrats
John James is no Allen West.
I was somewhat shocked and dismayed by seeing his name on the list>
I’m not proud of my first thought learning this…
We gave donations to John James’ campaign. Never again!
As did we.
Yes, another disappointment.
I had hopes for him.
(gets out pin and punctures the balloon)
Self licking ice cream
Sundance, you have Jake Ellzey (KS).
Should be (TX).
Fixed…
Good job!
Jake Ellzey is now the Republican rep for the 6th District in Congress from Texas.
I thought he would be an upgrade from Democrat Mark Veazey when lines were re-drawn.
After this, I’m not convinced it is much of an upgrade.
I just can not believe John Rutherford would be a traitor. He was a good sheriff. VERY DISAPPOINTED in him.
I told his office so just now. He threw his vote away voting for Scalise who voted for Jim Jordan.
His staff blew me off early this year when I repeatedly asked for clarification on policy for equities impacted by Biden’s sanctions. The broker I use froze all options for one Russian equity I held. That didn’t bother me – I was ready to file a capital loss. However, my accountant and broker passed that there was nothing they could do (in respect to taxes because the equity could not be bought or sold) and no guidance from the government. The Congressman’s staff threw the problem back at me stating I needed to file some paperwork for guidance. It was a BS answer intended to throw me off.
Small potatoes I know. However, effectively, Mr Biden unilaterally seized my ownership rights.
Sue the Xiden regime for loss of profits. Early on, I listened to a commentator who said lawsuits against the White House would result from the sanctions against Russia.
Interesting. I’ld certainly sign on to a class action suit.
Rutherford has always been a RINO. Even as Sheriff he was in stealth mode. You just didn’t see it. He actually called me once and tried to convince me that he a Second Amendment advocate. He is as bad as they come.
Good to know.
Rutherford is a swamp creature.
He voted for all of the billions for Ukraine.
He voted for every single CR Continuing Resolution bad budget that has bankrupted us .
He claims that GAITZ is a traitor.
Rutherford is looking in the mirror.
Doesn’t surprise me at all that he is trying to submarine Jordan.
Rutherford was Sheriff of Jacksonville during the time when the Sheriff’s Officers and the Police Union officers were convicted of running a city wide gambling operation.
More than 20. These are just the ones that were forced to go on the record.
Who is the list that is not on record?
Why are they allowed not to be on record?
He is referencing the greater numbers that opposed him in secret, before the floor vote where some reversed themselves to not be seen voting against him.
We are unlikely to know who those were.
Yes, they know exactly how many can revolt, keeping the others safe from sunlight, for now.
They all voted today, so they are all on record
Sitting in a back room and round tabling the vote.
The cartel calls in the markers they believe will achieve the goal.
Let others off the hook to fight another day. Knowing collateral will be used for another matter.
Example;
Congressman Soandso, you can vote for, because we are going to expect you all in on Ukraine.
Congressman Sneesweed, we are calling in our marker. You will vote against, figure out how you weather the blowback. Besides no one is going to run against you and your war chest is full.
It has always been done this way. In both chambers.
Bought and paid for.
True that.
The question is, what sort of compromise is likely? If the Rinos play hardball then the party will be visibly fractured going forward.
Should be interesting watching this unfold.
“Unity”, as defined by in the past, is not the goal. If it takes burning it to the ground, so be it. The sun will continue to rise.
“If it takes burning it to the ground, so be it. The sun will continue to rise.”
If you don’t mind, I’m going to adopt this phrase as my motto!
They are republicans, so the “compromise” will involve money. How much will depend. What do other prostitutes charge these days?
They are only making visible what is already true: they are extremely polarized.
Primary them…all 20 of them.
They are so stupid because if they flip they get Hakeem Jeffries. To me he is worse than Pelosi. He’s a racist and stupid. Not a winning formula for the country.
I’ve never seen a Democrat replacement to be an improvement, they sink further each time.
Obviously we will,
BUT,
the ODDS are they will still be re-elected anyway because ALL OF OUR ELECTIONS ARE NOW CAPABLE OF BEING STOLEN.
Frankly, we NO LONGER CAN SAY FOR SURE WHETHER ANY OF THESE PEOPLE WERE EVER “LEGALLY” ELECTED IN THE FIRST PLACE……..
ie: the election that ELECTED them was probably stolen TOO.
Everyone knows that Donald Trump was “legally” re-elected, and that the election was stolen and that Biden is not legitimate.
Yet Biden is still drooling all over the White House.
Apparently our elections have been REGULARLY STOLEN SINCE BACK IN 2012.
Maybe someone should pull the fire alarm, thinking it is a bubble gum machine.
No surprise at all that four of them are from New York State.
MAGA congress critters are a rarity in the Vampire State.
I guess not so surprising for John James:
https://www.politico.com/news/2020/05/09/republican-candidate-john-james-willing-to-call-out-donald-trump-244989
Oh, poor baby!
Lol! I sent an email to Congressman Rutherford a week ago. Told him no way I vote for him this time around.
He is rotten to the core.
Prayers up for more Jim Jordan votes, but without deal-cutting.
Bilirakis (FL – 12) is a + Jordan vote…
He was not in attendance for first vote to attend funeral…that’s why total vote was 432 instead of 433 (two vacancies).
Will be returning to vote, possibly this afternoon.
A little HARDBALL is called for which means twisting the arms of lobbyists and consultants whondrpend heavily on Government contracts, regulatory relief and other funding!!! They own these GOP e types and can apply a lot of pressure to get them to play ball!! Pelosi was a master at this type of coercion to get Dems in line!!!🤔

I just listened to Byron Donalds saying what seemed to me like, It’s important for people to voice their opinions but now it’s time for everyone to just let their representatives decide. I took it as sit down and shut up. I’m wondering if anyone else heard this and am I taking it the wrong Way//
Whoa!!! Do I have to get my Sharpie out and draw a thick line through his name to go with the multi paged double columned list of RINOs who have preceded him?
That one would hurt.
Rep. Byron Donalds on House Speaker vote: The days of leadership by acclimation are over | Fox News Video
He sounded good until the end when he addressed voters. I like him alot, but sure don’t like the last comment
Keep suspicious cat on. This is not the 1st sign. He worked hard on the last CR for pass, I am not sure to which direction he steered, but check the results and effects and his post comments.
Doug LaMalfa of CA: (202) 225-3076
Just got off the phone with his office. Gave them an earful.
Thank you for the numbers..saved me hunting..
Just called Mike Kelly’s office. A very nice polite lady did answer. She said he felt that Scalice deserved his vote the first time around,, but will be voting for Jordan the next time around. Told her it was very disappointing as he is now on a list to ‘watch’ as before he was a sure vote.
I get his emails, heard him speak, put his signs out, see him at MAGA rallies, and encourage friends to vote for him. Now I will have to keep track of his voting history.. Was happy we had him to depend on in PA as so many others are just awful..
Was glad to get an answer and she was polite, so was I, but I made my point.
BREAKING:
@RepLaMalfa
just voted against Jim Jordan on the floor of the House.
Call his office at (202) 225-3076 to urge him to vote for @Jim_Jordan as Speaker of the House.
Do they realize that the People are sick of their shuckin’ and jivin’ on CSPAN after the votes?
Coincidentally, the advent of shuckin’ and jivin’ marks the shift of power toward Marxist influence in America.
My guess is that if DJT were nominated and supported by MAGA republicans, this group would would quickly rally around Jim Jordan or any air breathing human that is not Trump.
all very wealthy.
or about to be.
House Democrats elected Rep. Hakeem Jeffries of New York as their Majority Leader in a unanimous vote, despite the various factions within the party.
Yet Republicans just can’t shake their well earned reputation as the stupid party when it comes to uniting the party behind a new Speaker of the House.
Remember these 20 next year during their primaries. It doesn’t matter if they ultimately vote for Jordan. They’ve shown their true colors.
Wasn’t John James defeated in his Michigan Senate, but refused to fight the vote fraud that cost him and the Republican Party. Sadly, there are too many in the Surrender Caucus who want to be in Washington but won’t fight the Swamp. Votes like these really out who we can count on.
Yes that’s him. And I reminded him that We the People in MI noted that he did not fight voter fraud, each time I sent back a $0.00 campaign donation when he solicited for Rep.
Fight the Swamp? They are the Swamp.
Hey I got an idea! Promise them anything for their vote. Sarc.
What you do speaks so loudly I cannot hear what you say. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Before the “Primary them!” refrain begins, remember that deadlines for filing to be on a primary ballots in the 50 states start expiring in November and speed up over the winter into February 2024. . If our MAGA candidates are not already identified and ready to file and raising a ton of money, it will be a much bigger challenge next fall. The incumbents rarely run short of campaign funds.
https://ballotpedia.org/Important_dates_in_the_2024_presidential_race#Candidate_filing_deadlines_and_requirements_by_state
You got that “raising a ton of money” 100% correct. That is the reason my district has Tony Gonzales. The RINO machine put millions behind him. TV ads galore. His Trump-supporting, very conservative, godly opponent could not beat that machine. (And he had LOTS of support) It was the TV ads that made all the difference. They were really slick. The “average” R voter believed he was who the ads said he was.
Great list. Please add the items that each congressman is demanding in exchange for his/her vote.
Had President Trump endorsed any of these 20 in 2020 or 2022? Anyone know?
You can peruse past endorsements here…. the link is to 2022
https://ballotpedia.org/Endorsements_by_Donald_Trump#2022
The first person I checked, Don Bacon, was endorsed.
I don’t know or care. If he did, it was because he had his reasons at the time.
I dont have a huge issue with some protest votes on the 1st ballot. People that didn’t feel like McCarthy should have been booted, then felt like Scalise should have been a shoe in, don’t want to vote for Jordan on the first ballot and see him sail through. Anyone holding out on the second ballot without specific achievable concessions needs to be kicked out for sure.
I would expect most of the McCarthy and Scalise votes will quickly fall in line, probably 10/13, and the 4 people who waited until the end seem like they didn’t want to vote for Jordan, but didn’t want to be the deciding vote against him either, they should fall in line. Plus the one guy who is pro Jordan but missed the first vote for a funeral puts him at close to 215 imo in the next few hours.
Maybe only 210 on the 2nd ballot in about an hour and a half. Scalise is up to his slimy tricks keeping enough votes back. Hopefully he will be kicked out of being the majority leader, but that might send Jordan down in flames if that happens.
Buck is not a surprise at all. He is 100% against Trump and MAGA.
Their message is clear…
SELF BEFORE COUNTRY!!
(and their sinecures which enrich them. That’s why they are there in the end.)
No honour.
To reprise Oliver Cromwell…
“You have sat there too long for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you.
IN THE NAME OF GOD, GO!!!!”
Was it not just several days ago that these hypocrites blasted the 8 conservatives who ousted McCarthy for voting with the democrats?
And now there are twenty (20) of these RINO’s doing the very thing they accused the conservatives of doing?
Speaks volumes, doesn’t it.
All these years, decades really, when RINO’s tell conservatives we gotta vote for their preselected RINO candidates so we can have a majority……
Now it’s THEIR turn to have to take a back seat and let someone more conservative than them have a shot.
Of course, RINO’s don’t want anything to do with anything that will upset their delicate democrat sensitivities.
Raging hypocrites.
Does Jim Jordan have halitosis or something? Vote for him already you disgusting Rinos.
And I thought RINOs were an endangered species… silly me!
I have an idea. Publish the Epstein flight logs and client lists in total. Let the people see how many of the politicians who seem to have invisible strings on them are compromised.
I bet you would find many of the same names on both lists.
I am absolutely stunned that John James did not vote for his neighbor to the south in Ohio. Would he prefer a complete RINO from Kalifornia?
Wait. Is Jordan legit now????
Which Jordan is running???
1.0, 2.0, 3.0?
*confused*
Remember: He’s not a White Knight. He thunders away but little more.
I was confused too. Thought JJ was compromised due to “wrestle-gate”.
but apparently he’s the lesser of the other evils.
If Jordan is the Empty suit you allege, then what are the Dems terrified of him, and these 20 RINOs so opposed as to blow up their own party rather than “go along to get along” as is their DNA?
Your premise is completely flawed.
The Dims are *not* terrified of anything. You are clearly unfamiliar with Kabuki Theater along with the fact that many Rs are actually Ds.
All of this is performative.
Jordan doesn’t wear a suit, just a shirt and tie.
Others are too pusillanimous to thunder away. I give Jordan credit for at least speaking out.
No, Jordan is not truly legit.
He TALKS THE TALK,
but DOESN’T WALK THE WALK.
Bur Trump wants him, so we are doing our best to help Trump.
No, he’s not perfect, but who’s better? Scalise? McCarthy? Scott? Jeffries? Pelosi? We live in a world of compromise.
A vote for McCarthy or Scalise is a vote for the political machine. Some of these 20 may not even have an ideological dog in the fight, they just don’t think they’ll get the same patronage under Jordan. Of course, they don’t have to worry bout that if they have a serious primary challenge. Really, they are all pretty mercenary. We’ll have to see how Jordan negotiates.
Folks, national populism is going to inexorably grind forward as things get worse. We have to make sure that national populism stays grounded in the ideas of our founding revolution. It has long been my question if it’d get so bad the country would fracture and the entirety wouldn’t be worth saving, or if we could rebuild from the brink of destruction. I still don’t know. Our political future might even in this moment be a jump ball and freedom loving patriots are going to have to be willing to throw some elbows.
Buck is a asshat
Buck was told to vote to vacate McCarthy and is now told to vote against Jordan.
Chamber and Club for Growth pulling his strings.
How much does it cost for the little Pinocchio cut his strings and stand on his own?
“Yes, there are some surprises, including John James of Michigan.”
I concur, quite surprised by this. Just goes to show that you don’t know, til you know…
If you are from Michigan, don’t feel bad. As a conservative Floridian for 25-years, I thought I was always voting for the conservative candidate for Governor:
I voted for Charlie Christ, as a RepublicanI voted for Jeb Bush, as a RepublicanI voted for Rick Scott, as a RepublicanI voted for Ron DeSantis, as a Republican
Until Trump showed up, we didn’t realize we’d been getting screwed for decades by fraudsters…
My brother lives in Kay Granger’s district. She absolutely will not get his vote.
He usually asks me to give him some guidance on how he should complete his ballot. He won’t need my input this time around. He told me two weeks back that she was a no-go.
Thankfully, she has two primary challengers.
Oh and, she is 80 years old and refuses to retire. That can be fixed.
Isn’t that interesting that the others that were on board suddenly weren’t with the exception of bacon and another couple. I call this whack a mole.
First ballot.
Some (hopefully most!) are “making a statement.”
Should get closer on the next round. Could take awhile if these self important “representatives of thecpeople” want more attention.
There is nothing surprising to me about the betrayal of John James.
I remember his Senate candidacy. He only spoke in sound bites. Every word out of his mouth was tested, focus grouped, rehearsed, and as sickly fake-but-sweet as saccharine. Once that realization clicked into place, I understood I was looking at a “too perfect” mannequin staged by the establishment.
Never once did I hear him have an unscripted, in the moment intellectual beatdown of some stupid leftist the way Trump or Kari Lake do on a regular basis.
Yeah. I think he’s looking for a network job.
Completely dysfunctional. Shut it down.
The clowns are running around the clown car.
And we thought our work was largely done getting the 10 impeachment voters out. Oh well, with Rs the purges are never over, it’s like patching a sinking ship.
It’s 200-20, RINO vs MAGA, so you got plenty of fodder. Happy hunting!
Many voted for McCarthy or Scalise. They should have voted for themselves since it’s all about them anyway. Certainly not for the people in their district they represent.
These RINOs want to maintain the status quo of Continuing Resolutions. The problem with CRs, the spending continues but nothing is resolved.
Called the two FL reps, of course they weren’t available but was able to leave a message. It was hard to keep my temper in check but managed. I hate these jack holes.
Not sure if stress causes votes or votes causes stress.
Stress means money in both examples.
As a FL resident i called Rutherford’s office. Reached VM and left a message. I can’t even get through to Diaz Balart. These DEMS masquerading as RINOs make me sick!!
