The Biden administration has one goal in relation to supporting Israel, keep Hezbollah from entering the conflict.
Hamas has small rockets and inbred jihadi terrorists. Hezbollah has precision missiles built up over time, more money, sophisticated targeting systems and a more disciplined approach. Israel can enter Gaza and begin operations; it will not be easy at all, but it is possible. However, if Hezbollah launches from the North, the U.S. will need to intervene on behalf of Israel.
That is the reason we keep seeing these statements:
Hezbollah will not engage Israel without direct approval from Tehran, Iran. Currently Iran views the Biden administration as a useful ally.
From the perspective of Iran, they have an interesting decision. Keep the happy geopolitical leverage they have with the Biden administration or put the Biden administration into a corner by activating their Hezbollah terrorists.
I don’t think Iran will approve Hezbollah for two reasons. First, because they will want to maintain the Joe Biden team’s usefulness for them. Second, I doubt even Hezbollah realized how much success Hamas would have in the 10/7 attack.
INDEPENDENT – As the Israeli army mounted its response to the massacre of hundreds of civilians by Hamas this weekend, it sent tanks and troops not only to the scene of the atrocities, but to its northern border with Lebanon.
It was a recognition, borne from experience, that an all-out offensive against Gaza is unlikely to be contained there. To Israel’s north lies a much more formidable foe, and ally of Hamas, the Lebanese Shia militant group Hezbollah.
Recent skirmishes on the border have heightened the possibility that Hezbollah could enter the fray and widen the conflict beyond Israel’s borders. The group is significantly better equipped than Hamas, with an arsenal of tens of thousands of sophisticated rockets, according to Michael Knights, a fellow at the Washington Institute and expert on Iran-backed militias.
“Israel says the Hamas attack involved about 1,500 commandos entering Israel: Israel has assessed that Hezbollah has a 45,000-strong regular army,” he told The Independent. “Hamas fired about 3,300 missiles and drones so far: Hezbollah has around 150,000 munitions ready to fire.” (read more)
While the fighting has left Kfar Aza, fighting between Israel and Hamas can still be heard from its streets. The sound of artillery and rocket fire can also be heard in the background.
Israel has amassed tanks and forces near the Gaza border as a ground invasion is expected. Israel continues to launch major airstrikes on Gaza.
How quickly did the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group reach the Eastern Mediterranean?
We do not know the original mission of the carrier group. Two weeks, when that statement was made, involved what exactly? We know not.
Plans change. Two weeks becomes Two days out of necessity.
Keep in mind US carrier groups are ALWAYS on patrol and in circulation around the world. This is ALWAYS. CVN-69 was my ship during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Eisenhower was already THROUGH the Suez by the time to public was informed they were “headed there.”
Expect the Ford to be a floating sacrifice to Iran and the cause of a full scale military conflict.
This is the NEW line of business. Ukraine has been prevented from being anything more than a slow burn because Putin never fell for the tricks and traps they set for him. Ukraine is now old news to be forgotten.
Fellow Ike Warrior, hail those who have served on the Mighty Ike. I was on the Ike from 1998 through 2008. Two stints in the gulf, dropping bombs, going to real GQ because of…yep, the Iranians.
But you are correct- the carriers are always on patrol cutting boxes, launching planes, and then boom, you are where you are told to be…..
Nothing scarier than transitioning the Suez…..those big guns are big, the canal narrow, and they are tens of feet from you.
and don’t forget all our underwater assets on patrol 24/7/365.
Every COCOM (and subordinate command) has theatre specific operational and contingency plans.
somehow not soon enough to deter the attack
American aircraft carriers are mind bogglingly fast because of their length and nuclear power plant. That particular carrier is supposed to be the fastest naval ship ever built. The rumors are somewhere over 60mph.
They ARE faster than people know. The nuclear plants are more than one. But the legendary speed is partly an illusion due to delayed reporting on activity to the public.
I was attached to CVN-69 during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. The public was told we were headed there when at the time, the carrier group had already gone through the Suez. (Called the Suez Safari by us)

That’s CVN-69 at a time when they still had the “horn on the bow” which was used to help catapult certain aircraft. The horns on the bow have since been removed.
But there is and has been a reality where US carrier groups are always deployed and circulating around the globe at all times. We don’t have them stationed in ports just waiting.
Think of the way police are deployed and on patrol. You will see them parked in places all over your towns and cities not just running speed traps but just parking and making themselves available to respond to whatever 9-1-1 call that comes in. They are strategically ready at all times and are not parked at the police stations.
The US Navy is no different in this regard.
Yes, deployed, conducting flight ops, and cutting boxes. Always on the move to an extent depending on the mission.
And for those that don’t know, the carrier is not the only ship, it has a while fleet of picket ships with it: sub, frigates, cruisers, LHDs, LPDs, and a few others. Planes are not the only worries for those on the ground.
Yes and no.
Been there too. Cutting to the Med often results in detachments.
Fair, but the carrier will always have picket ships. Always. The scope and breadth of the detachment is determined by mission as you allude to.
Not these days. The Bataan ARG is in the Persian Gulf. Overseas homeported America ARG is in / around Sasebo homeport.
Interesting. Times do change.
Not quite the full picture.
There are eleven CV/CVNs. At any given time some are in maintenance, some post-deployment stand-down, some unit training, some combined operations (to include BG/amphib ops checks-in-the-block) exercises/approvals, some operational deployment. What has happened over the last several decades is a shift from fixed length turn-around cycles to more flexible schedules partly in support of expeditionary concepts.
At the same time, for retention/recruiting purposes, there have also been “sea time” (also called optempo) limits applied from time to time.
Great clarity for those not familiar with how things work- which I am sure is even drastically different now than it was when I honorably discharged in 08′.
“Nuclear power plant” is immaterial (affects endurance though). What matters is the horsepower developed in the steam turbines and the ability to transmit that through the screws. Ultimately though the CVN is not going to outrun its screening ships, at least not for long. For example if flight ops course/speed needs to be in the wrong direction it might only take a plane guard (if night flight ops) and use speed to return after completing a cycle.
Did dotMil ever get the Ford’s electromagnetic catapult to work? Uh, somewhere I heard the launch mechanism is kinda’ important for a carrier you know. I know its sea trials were a spectacle of both dotMil and engineering incompetence rivaling another spectacle (the proverbial 10 lbs. of shxxx in a 5 lb bag) F-35 now on track to exceed a “program” cost in excess of $1.7 Trillion.
Of course they did. The main nagging problem was weapons elevators. But these have been a maintenance issue as long as I can remember. The core issue tends to be the need to support a certain sortie rate. That drives how fast the elevators have to move so you can’t just take a civilian elevator and adapt it.
On most these things when there are problems I see programs cheaping out on land based test facilities. That’s why Wayne Meyer was successful with Aegis — the combined engineering facility in Moorestown NJ and test/training site in Wallops VA.
BTW, steam cats aren’t maintenance free either.
I’ll just drop this into the mix. A little outdated but probably not vastly improved upon.
Millennium Challenge: The Real Story of a Corrupted Military Exercise and its Legacy (warontherocks.com)
With the new American military being all-inclusive, affirmative action and accepting recruits from countries all over the world, I have to wonder how many “sleeper teams” are deployed with that task force that just moved into the eastern Med.
Some of us will remember the fires and riots aboard the USS Ranger and Forrestal back in the 60s.
Well, some considered McCain a sleeper cell in and of himself.
Although in line with his characteristic incompetence, McCain started the Forrestal fire BEFORE he collaborated with the North Viets
I never liked/supported McCain…but exactly how did he collaborate with the NV?
He wasn’t call “Birdsong” by the North Vietnamese without reason. He said anything they wanted him to say which was televised here. He never gave any indication that he was under duress as did the pilot (whose name I’ve forgotten) blinked in Morris Code to signify duress.
Without going into details (cuz I can’t )…I may have read some material that is pertinent. Jumpin John was a real piece of work. But at the Hotel – none of those guys were culpable. Training for that sort of situation, btw, is to hold out as long as one can.
Shhh! We aren’t suppose to talk about our Mil literally being “infiltrated”– as reported way back in the fall of 2017 by Fox/Brett Bair. Or the congressional hearings admitting to it. All thanks to a certain enlistment program for non-citizens.
We also should ignore the many suspicious deaths & “suicides” of active duty members that was ongoing– so much so, bases had to stop publicly reporting on any totals around that same time.
Nobody “CAIR’ed” when they made public announcements in US Newspapers on specific stateside bases to target either. Go figure!
Remember the fire that destroyed Bonhomme Richard
Great…
Getting us into war with Russia didn’t play out as planned but the backup plan has been initiated.
I’m tired of fighting other people’s battles…
Don’t worry. Eventually we might win!
Not funny.
CJ…..at home ??????
‘I’m tired of fighting other people’s battles …’ – John W.
So am I.
George Washington made it plain as day in his Farewell Address that the US does not “need to intervene on behalf of” Ukraine, Israel, or any other nation, no matter how meritorious their cause may be.
If individual Americans wish to travel to these countries to volunteer their services, they are free to go. But please, don’t make it a government program.
Amen!
Don’t worry. Joebama will have US pilots making sure that nobody hurts the wonderful rulers of Iran.
LOL. Netanyahu is not worried. As he boasted a while back “Israel has America” to fight their wars.
desertson: The reason for voting Democrat goes back to the political, social and cultural history of largely Russian Jewish immigrants (but also other Eastern European immigrants, as well as assimilated German Jews), who came to the US from 1881 through 1905, a period of stating with the assassination of a Tsar and the rise of Marxism and early Bolshevism. These Jews, largely Yiddish-speaking (except for the assimilated German Jews, who looked down upon the poor, less educated Ost-Juden (from the east). Many immigrant Jews from this time period (and forward) were familiar with revolutionary currents in Russia and had lived for decades, if not centuries, under oppressive circumstances.
Many of these immigrants worked in rising American industries (especially, New York’s garment industry) that were ripe for labor movements and unionization and hotbeds of socialist ideas. The predominant Yiddish-language newspaper during this period was “The Forward,” an openly socialist newspaper. (Get it? Forward! The rallying cry of Lenin, himself).
Assimilated German Jewish immigrants saw themselves as “enlightened” (dating back to the times of the German Enlightenment’s founding father, Moses Mendelssohn. These people saw themselves as benevolent saviors of the poor masses–Jewish and non-Jewish.
I could continue into the FDR years and WWII, but, you get the idea.
P.S. Jewish immigrants to Palestine during the above time period also brought socialist ideals and politics, but were motivated by Zionism, which was of secondary, if any concern for Jewish immigrants who went to America. Immigrants to Palestine worked the land and had to fight, not only the inhospitable environment (heat, malaria, swamps in the north, etc.) but also, the Arabs, who prayed on the settlements of Jewish immigrants. This resulted in a very different ethos among Israel’s immigrant Jews, versus America’s early Jews, who faced problems mostly of a social nature (rather than basic survival and security).
thanks for that great summary, bill
small correction, it would be preyed on the settlements of Jewish immigrants
with an ‘a’ it’s a whole different thing
What to expect from Eastern Mediterranean presence of the Ford carrier strike group…
The government we have now runs a dementia patient to obscure its maneuvering to boost the Iranian regime behind the cover of its installed candidate. The politburo (as Lee Smith calls it) running the show has constantly pushed for opportunities to strengthen the mullahs. We have paid a ransom for American hostages, reinstated payments to Palestinians in defiance of the Taylor Force Act, elevated one anti-Israel advisor after another to lofty posts to such an extent that an Iranian spy ring has just been uncovered in our intelligence services, forced Israel to cede part of its energy trove to Hezbollah, interceded in the Israel-Saudi Arabia normalization discussions under the auspices of the Abraham Accords to say the concessions must be made to the Palestinians for the deal to go through…
Add to the evident hostility to Israel the fact that the Press-assisted politburo mandated vaccines for the populace that did not stop the spread of COVID and harmed too many Americans, incarcerated and keep incarcerated under horrific circumstances those who dared suggest the 2020 election was not honest, unleashed a corrupt DOJ upon the candidacy of Donald Trump, have begun floating the idea that Trump supporters are domestic terrorists to be surveilled by an FBI gone off its rails, and, not least, a DOJ and FBI that have covered for a grifting Joe Biden… Donald Trump said it aloud in New Hampshire… he believes Obama is Joe’s boss. Obama the not-a-fan-of-Israel President.
Tell me again why the Ford carrier strike group is in position to help Israel. The politburo is still in charge last I looked. The Iran-friendly policies are still in place. Israel has never asked for US help in its wars. Why are we volunteering to help now. Something doesn’t look right and it can’t be explained by the fact that Americans are hostages again.
In two weeks, as KT McFarland has said, when the devastation wrought by Israel in Gaza will have been far advanced, will the administration ask Israel to stand down then? Will it still be holding Hezbollah at bay? Or Israel?
Those carrier groups look like a mighty fine way for enforcing a “No Fly Zone”… on Israel’s air force… or, the NSA is pulling a USS Liberty* again, and real-time transmitting Israeli military comms to the subhuman moslem nazi command and control, etc.
I didn’t know Obama has dementia! Maybe he will come to the final stage of dementia quickly as my mother just did. It would be a blessing for America if so. Maybe God will intervene for Israel and We The People soon. 🙏🙏
I don’t know your mom, so with all respect I’ll just hope Obama does a rapid Bruce Willis
gnomesayin’?
One of the early signs of HIV going “full blown AIDS” is cognitive dysfunction…
Maybe the entire left has been infected. Would explain so many things
my knee-jerk thought when I read that a carrier group was to be parked off the coast of Israel was that it was being sent there to fire on Israel.
Biden has been trying to broker a deal between Iran and Saudi Arabia. All bets are off if this war expands into a theatre conflagration.
Steaming and flying in the Med (and the various surrounding seas), generally, and Eastern Med specifically is not the best of contexts. Kinda tight.
All kinds of interlocking relationships in that area of the world (Middle East).
For those who have been there – there is a distinct and heavy “presence” that life just doesn’t hold the the preeminent value it used to hold for Western civilization.
The USS Ford is only one Hypersonic missile away from being on the bottom of the Med. The Israelis won’t hesitate to do to it what they did to the USS Liberty, if the Navy interferes with them.
Biden’s Special Presidential Coordinator for Global Infrastructure and Energy Security is a former IDF member (1992-95) and was born in Israel. Blinken appointed him Senior Advisor for Energy Security. (He was also on the board of Ukrainian Naftogaz). He heads Biden’s Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment. These are extremely powerful positions. Since he occupies these positions and directs energy policy, how is Biden’s admin not a fan of ISR when AH was literally born there and fought for their forces? As “special” advisor/director of energy policy, he has worked with the Lebanese to settle the martime boundary of a couple of gas fields. The ISRs retain full control of the Karish gas field. The other field developed by France, but will be an economic boon to Lebanon, which may prevent them from entering the war. Just like the unfreezing of $6B in South Korea to Iran (via Qatar, the hostage negotiators), along with the unfreezing of other money in other countries, may keep Iran out, too. We’ll have to wait and see. Wishing all civilians peace.
Former US State Department official David Goldwyn said that Hochstein acts as “the person who bridges State, Treasury, the White House and Energy.”
“I don’t think Iran will approve Hezbollah for two reasons. First, because they will want to maintain the Joe Biden team’s usefulness for them. Second, I doubt even Hezbollah realized how much success Hamas would have in the 10/7 attack.”
But what about the seemingly evident desire to start a global conflict, a “world war” significant enough for western governments to take control over the internet, currency, the power grid, etc.?
Israel vs Iran’s proxies … NATO vs Russia in Ukraine … South China Sea/Taiwan …
I know that, just because dots can be connected doesn’t mean the truth is represented therein. But do we have solid reason to not suspect an escalation in Israel is part of a global calculation?
Truly, I’m just asking.
yes
Just thought I’d dig this up…
July 23, 2021 . . Partial transcript of last call between Biden & Afghanistan President Ghani before that debacle.
Doesn’t instill much confidence in how he’ll handle this mess should we need to get involved, does it?
*******************
BIDEN: Mr. President. Joe Biden.
GHANI: Of course, Mr. President, such a pleasure to hear your voice.
BIDEN: You know, I am a moment late. But I mean it sincerely. Hey look, I want to make it clear that I am not a military man any more than you are, but I have been meeting with our Pentagon folks, and our national security people, as you have with ours and yours, and as you know and I need not tell you the perception around the world and in parts of Afghanistan, I believe, is that things aren’t going well in terms of the fight against the Taliban.
And there’s a need, whether it is true or not, there is a need to project a different picture . . .
Some very cogent advice:
https://gab.com/threesevens/posts/111208935300865069
Sorry but phrases like “the genocide of the Palestinian people” is attempting to equate terrorists with a peaceful nation state.
The article itself seems to be a psyop with partial truths pushing an “it doesn’t necessarily follow” conclusion. Some truth perhaps not related interspersed with trying to excuse the most brutal unprovoked killing of women and children.
If your neighbor had a known violent threatening and armed head of household who stood behind his wife and kids and yelled threats and threw rocks how would you react when he lobbed grenades and kidnapped your kid after shooting your other kid and your grandma?
Would you be ready to kill him and evict his family from the neighborhood even though perhaps one of his kids and nephews were not involved but the rest of the family was just as bad as he?
Sorry, disagreeing with SD here. It’s known and detailed here that the $6B was released in such a way as to facilitate this attack.
Secondly, it’s not a reach at all to say that the globalist party (the one we’re not invited to) has been trying to turn Ukraine into a larger conflict for a variety of reasons.
Thirdly, thanks to Mr. Gaetz, a temporary stop on continued money dumping in Ukraine occurred. As if triggered as a contingency plan here’s this attack; defense stocks jump, opinion galvanizes, all that stuff that makes directing the agenda easy.
I don’t think the fleet is there to let Israel achieve its objective and stop escalation. There’s no money in that. I think they’re there to *ensure* escalation, by ‘diplomatically’ creating a ceasefire (aka crazies rearmament period) which will be then interrupted by another unanticipated strike on Israel, probably from the north. Maybe they’ll cause some American casualties.
Then, like clockwork, the US is in the fight, the one Russia has failed to start with NATO despite so many events (and false flags, like Ukr missiles landing in Poland). Naturally in order to achieve this end ‘misinformation’ must be locked down lest some inconvenient fact derailing the revenge reflex get brought into the conversation before the hostilities get rolling.
All these engineered conflicts make one wonder when the last time a conflict wasn’t one we set up or let happen for political expediency. Lusitania? Remember the Maine? How long has this been going on?
Pre Civil War in the US
(English and later Prussian manipulations)
^ Yep. My question was mostly rhetorical to inspire commentary. To paraphrase a telling quote from a favorite series:
Observer: This [place] has been going on for a long time.
No.6: Since the war? Before the war? Which … war?
OMFG. Bigger picture. Afghan event was to supply massive resources and entertainment to the Islamic groups. Weapons, equipment, ammunition, HUMAN SACRIFICES all left behind with that purpose in mind. They had billions and billions in value there already.
The money is just more cash flow and isn’t there just for THIS event. It’s funding for the over-all ongoing campaign that had been building over time…
… time we ignored while we watched the Ukraine campaign FAIL from the start until they couldn’t get away with the lies any longer. The lies ran out, the Ukraine flags everywhere fell away and disappeared. The honoring of a WW2 war criminal was the signal that it was DONE.
But the preparations for THIS “line of business” started when OBiden was put back into control.
You see one series of things and I see a different gantt chart. While I believe they wanted Ukraine to kick things off, their baiting of Putin continued to fail and that was sad for them. But do not lose sight of how the middle east theater started and it was almost instantly and almost as quickly FORGOTTEN.
$6bn? It’s a LOT more than that.
When you realize the nature of all of these Islamic groups both militant and political, and now almost none of them could have existed without the CIA, you might start to get some idea of the larger picture here. They are all CIA assets and affiliates.
Thought experiment. If Trump was back in the white house now or soon, and if the congress was able to remove the CIA and other abusive IC groups in our government, do you think they would no longer be a threat to the US and the world? Ponder that. When you realize that removal in an official capacity will NOT remove the organization itself and that it would still represent the threat it is today, you will see how and why we have so much organized crime all over the world because while a LOT of it is funded using US resources, we also know how the CIA funded itself in other ways such as the opium trade and probably a LOT worse.
If we managed to cut them off officially, they will still exist and in some ways, become more dangerous as they would need to become more aggressive in their manner and methods.
I don’t think we disagree on this generally. But my gantt chart ties a lot of things together and we’re quickly coming to a head.
Agree. I think Sundance is incorrect. Nice argument.. but reality is a bigger bitch than he’s thinking. IMHO
Bingo! You, sir, can think, connect dots, see the constant “wash, rinse, repeat”. America is being set up for yet ANOTHER murderous entanglement where nothing is as it seems.
… and here’s Hezbollah in the north. I hate being proven right so quickly.
Lee Smith (@LeeSmithDC on Twitter) is putting forth the theory that U.S. assets are being put in place to protect Hezbollah from Israel and be ready to impose a cease-fire if the conflict were to expand to Hezbollah. He explains that a key Biden Administration goal is to preserve Iran as a “partner.”
My response to that is “partner”–you have got to be kidding! https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/14.0.0/svg/1f644.svg
Lee Smith sounds like an idiot.
He’s not.
.
I know that this probably sounds crazy and maybe over the top, but my concern is this:
Just watching this administration (and the Obama administration since they seem connected) since the beginning, knowing how much they hate Israel, as evidenced by how Netanyahu has been disrespected and Iran is funded in order to fund terrorist factions, why suddenly is the administration bringing in our warships with warnings/threats that the US will get personally involved when that wasn’t even done for Ukraine where we are funding only and providing military equipment, but not sending manpower? Why now? Why Israel when they have been mistreated in the past?
The administration has opened our borders and are flying in, bussing in, and bringing by train millions of military aged men from not just South America, but from all over the world.
Now we are siding with the enemy of many of these border crossers and our military is going to be completely tied up over seas. I am sure that you can see my concern.
Don’t get me wrong, I want the US to support Israel. The Bible says that those who bless Israel will be blessed and those who curse Israel will be cursed. I love the Israelis and was horrified at the slaughter and torture by these animals. I would definitely want my country to be the first to come to their side. But these actions by this administration doesn’t even make sense after they were the ones to give billions of dollars to Iran who calls us the Big Satan and Israel the Little Satan and calls for the death to both. And it was that money that funds all of the different Middle East terror groups.
Ever since the Arab Spring, Arabs have been infiltrating countries all over the world through their borders. Just look at the protests against Israel springing up in all those countries since the atrocities of Saturday. It was the terrorists who slaughtered and tortured civilians, not Israel. Israel has ALWAYS given adequate warning to civilians to get out of the way before they bomb buildings that house weapons of terrorists who place their weapons and headquarters right in the middle of civilians as to use them as shields. Why are they protesting against Israel and not against the terrorists? I think these immigrants in every country have all been strategically placed for such a time as this. They are wanting chaos across the world to bring about their New World Order. I fear there will be many innocent people, precious people who will be caught up in this horrific world war.
According to the Bible, the Anti-Christ will step in during the middle of the chaos to take control and he will be the leader of the NWO.
This is a spiritual battle (Ephesians 6).
If anyone reading this has not made a decision to follow Jesus Christ, this would be an excellent time to do so. Prophecy is playing out before our very eyes and I fear that things are going to get very bad here on the earth. With Christ there is hope in eternal life with Him.
Amen.
LOL. I have read that the registrations on boats flooding Europe with muslims are Israeli. They own the USG, look at the “Biden” “cabinet”. This is all about destroying the US (white Christians of European descent), making US the target of Muslim wrath, destroying western civ. Islam is their broom. They brag of it, but not in their “msm”.
“if Hezbollah launches from the North, the U.S. will need to intervene on behalf of Israel.”
Taking intervene to mean with troops, does anyone think the Biden Maladministration actually will? And how many troops could we get there in a timely manner? What kind or troops with what kind or equipment and ammo and what would they do?
How many 155 rounds does Israel have after we pressured them into giving a lot of them to Zelensky?
Maybe Israel should be dusting off its tactile nuks.
Cruise missiles.
Tactile nukes? What the hell are “tactile nuks”? I guess it does slip past word filters and AI well enough.
Deploying naval forces this way, I fear, is to set up the Ford carrier group to be attacked with significant losses and to host meaningless congressional hearings demanding answers as to who ordered the “stand down/do not engage” which led to the slaughter. Does anyone imagine the US naval forces will respond according to the attacks on it under this administration? Not based on what we’ve seen so far. It would actually be WEIRD and inconsistent if they did allow US naval forces to do anything aggressive.
We don’t need “troops” though US carriers are ALSO gator freighters and not just mobile air stations.
And THAT is the whole point of this orchestrated “terrorist” atrocity.
sir..you are best armchair general….
Contrary to Sundance’s assertion that Hezbollah will wait for permission from Iran to enter the fray (i.e., if I read correctly), they will definitely enter, Iranian permission or not. Having shoehorned their way into Lebanese politics to where they are the ruling party now, and all that with the aid of Sy ria/Assad who is the conduit for funds and weapons from Iran to Lebanon, they are now pretty much an entity unto themselves, and answer to no one.
Already, rockets have been fired from Syria into Israel, and they are not from Assad but from Hezbollah. Assad just gives them cover.
Remember the last time Hezbollah and Israel tangled, started when Hezbollah abducted 2 Israeli soldiers guarding the border. After about a week of fighting, Hezbollah claimed victory because the west condemned Israel for firing into civilian occupied areas of Lebanon. The reason was because that was where the cowardly Islamic combatants chose to hide behind.
Hezbollah is better equipped now, and better manned, but maybe a bit over-confident. They will enter the fray but at the expense of a great awakening on their part.
Meanwhile, the people of Lebanon have all but given up hope of ever having a viable economy or even a fraud free election while under the rule of the terrorists Hezbollah who rule their country.
If this was the case Hezbollah would have entered by now .
“I don’t think Iran will approve Hezbollah for two reasons. First, because they will want to maintain the Joe Biden team’s usefulness for them. Second, I doubt even Hezbollah realized how much success Hamas would have in the 10/7 attack.”
IF Iran bluffs and holds back Hezbollah while Israel destroys Hamas once and for all, it would be a major game changer.
First, it would cause irreparable damage to Iran-Muslim Brotherhood relations. Contrary to popular belief, they haven’t had the best relationship, and would be enemies were it not for their common hatred of Israel. An Iranian betrayal of the Muslim Brotherhood in Palestine would mean a permanent end to their on-off partnership.
Second, the collapse of the Iran-Muslim Brotherhood partnership would shift the regional balance of power away from Iran and toward Turkey, the only other regional power that would be willing to take Iran’s place as the Muslim Brotherhood’s central sponsor.
Third, the animosity caused by the Muslim Brotherhood dumping Iran in favor of Turkey would spark an Iranian-Turkish cold war. This in turn would cause a drastic deterioration in Shia-Sunni relations, and a resurgence of violence in hotspots such as Syria and Yemen.
Fourth, with Iran and Turkey at each other’s throats and unfreezing frozen conflicts, the other three regional powers (Egypt, Israel, and Saudi Arabia) will be forced to make very tough decisions to adjust to this new reality. Egypt will almost certainly throw in with Iran because historically its current regime has had a far worse relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood than with the Ayatollahs. Israel will try to stay neutral for as long as possible, but eventually it will have to make a decision which either way will be highly controversial and divisive among its population. And what Saudi Arabia does will be largely dependent on which faction of the royal family controls the throne when push finally comes to shove; if the radicals are in control it will almost certainly throw in with Turkey, but if the moderates are in control it will be as unpredictable as Israel.
Fifth, the outcome of the Iranian-Turkish cold war and the alignment decisions made by Egypt, Israel, and Saudi Arabia will have serious repercussions for relations between the China, Europe, Russia, and the US, with many different possible outcomes of their own. This in turn would change the course of history…
Hezbollah is allready partialy in the conflict. The day before yesterday, Hezbollah destroyed two IDF outposts and an Israeli radar station with missiles.
Yesterday, Hezbollah fired ATGMs against two Israeli military sites, the command center of the IDF’s Galilee division.
Today, they destroyed an Israeli M-113 APC across the border in Avivim with two ATGMs.
Israel has killed a few Hezbollah fighters and hit some observation towers etc..
The snowball has started rolling
Why are no more than two stones still standing on top of each other in Tehran??? Time to stop this sh*t once and for all!!
All I hear on the news, like the radio in my car even, is of the beheaded babies and how Biden won’t admit Iran is behind the attack, while everyone else knows it.
Those are the stories they are allowed to push.
What are they not pushing? Every now and then, a mention of invasion from the North, but not in the context or depth that explains it will involve Hezbollah and therefore Iran, and force Biden to act.
Also, whatever happened to Biden’s testimony where we barely heard about it, then poof it disappeared.
Come on Hezbullah. Cone on. Bring it, you weak cowards. We will wipe the smirk off your face and your existence on this planet. You are stupid and weak. Our flaw is believing you are humans rather than monsters. The veil has been lifted. We see you chopping babies’heads off in front of their parents! YOU ARE MONSTERS!
I’m gonna give the FJB neolib/neocons ( they are the same ) the benefit of the doubt and will grant them some actual intelligence and awareness of the global geopolitical reality.
IMHO, this was supposed to be a black flag event to move the World’s attention from Ukraine. Israel was likely willing to absorb some minor loses in exchange for blowing up Hamas nicely… while keeping their eyes on Hezbollah.
What these idiots didn’t foresee was the efficiency, inhumanity and efficacy with which these fanatics attacked Israel.
It just blew up in their faces.
If, OTOH, the neolibs/neocons were caught by surprise, as they say in Spain, May God Catch Us After Confessi0n… because having such idiots in charge is horrendous.
It’s worse than having some simple evil people.
Again, IMHO, I doubt Iran has much to win at this point with unleashing Hezbollah. They are having it too good lately and I dare say that Putin and Latrov have been talking to the Mullahs.
The beheaded babies story is now gaining wide traction, and it has been reported that at least one Knesset member has called for dropping a tactical nuke on Gaza.
Yes, they may be overplaying their hand here. Consistent with the Warp Speed dynamic.
After the Ukrainian false flag missile into Poland on the evening of President Trump’s announcement failed, and after we at least so far have failed to deploy overt NATO troops into Ukraine, it seems clear to me that President Trump is the C in C. He as much as said so last week.
If that’s true, it doesn’t mean American soldiers are safe from dying in DS plots (see Afghanistan), and it doesn’t mean the sailors on the Ford are safe. It just means that at whatever point the DS has the US scripted to come in to play its most key part,
someone’s going to push a button and get no responsive action.
Let’s see what happens.
The people who orchestrated the international music festival (guaranteeing lots of dual citizen hostages and dead) think they can have a real but fake (controlled and shaped) war.
May it come to their doorsteps, skin them alive slowly, and then devour them inch by slow inch.
Heard today that the music festival was supposed to be held somewhere else, but venue location was changed. This plan was likely assisted by infiltrates.
Under NO circumstances should we get sucked into this fight. Israel can easily defend itself in a two front war. They don’t need our help. And we don’t have any money for them. The United States has been ruined financially, in part by two long, pointless middle eastern wars, and 4 Trump administration in a row could not fix it.
It is absolutely not credible that Israel, which knows every sparrow that falls in the Gaza Strip, did not know of an attack that was in the planning for over a year. That’s not real. Israel obviously knew about the planning of the attack and decided they wanted the attack, to put them in the moral position to deal, harshly and permanently, with their enemies.
You are mistaken. If Hizballah fires off it’s 150,000 rockets there will be no Israel left to defend.
When you say Israel knew, who exactly are you referring to?
aside – this new reality caught me flat-footed … can it really be more than a year or two that I used to see photos of young Israeli women with rifles slung over their shoulders while having a cold drink at a beach refreshment stand?
maybe that’s still true for enlisted army, but I had the impression the general populace was similarly armed like that

Leo Hohmann: Why Were Israelis so Defenseless Against Hamas Terrorists Going House-to-House Killing and Raping? ‘
Let this be an object lesson for Americans: Never give up your Second Amendment rights
Looking at these images of carnage, many of us have asked, why didn’t the Israelis fight back?
Many of us, myself included, assumed that with Israel being surrounded on all sides by such vicious enemies, and living in such close proximity to them, that the Israelis lived with firearms at the ready in all of their houses.
That assumption would be wrong.
According to my sources, the Israeli government makes its citizens jump through so many hoops that less than 2 percent of Israeli citizens are licensed to own a pistol.
And it’s virtually impossible to own a rifle. If you are among the ranks of retired military, you are allowed to own a rifle but you cannot store it in your house unless you are among the top elite commandos.
Watch the video below as Dave Kobler, a U.S. Army veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, explains — and be thankful we still have the Second Amendment in America because our corrupt politicians would love nothing better than to eliminate it and disarm us, too.
Yes, I was completely shocked to learn that Israel does not allow private citizens to keep guns in their own homes. They’re only allowed one firearm at a time, which must be kept in a firing range, and the ammunition is strictly limited and accounted for. There’s about 800 dead Israelis, whose friends and relatives will know better than to let communist filth restrict their access to firearms in the future.
Correction: Israel allows a holder of a gun license to own and carry (concealed or otherwise) one handgun and 50 bullets (raised to 100 bullets now). The conditions of ownership are onerous and restrictive (still).
Some months ago, nearly all rifles held in communities for distribution to civil defense teams in these kind of cases (to prevent or stop infiltration for murderous purposes) were removed by the regime… [Publicised, well-known fact, easily verified in any mockingbird media in Israel].
Read this and weep: https://www-zman-co-il.translate.goog/427233/popup/?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp
Come to your own conclusions.
Now we know how/why this happened. My impressions were still 25 years old as well. I never heard anything about changes in policy related to government gun restrictions. But as Israel allowed more and more people who hate them to enter the country, there can’t be a reasonable expectation “in a fair and equal society” to keep the new resident enemies armed. So the enemies should be disarmed “by law” so too should the citizens also be disarmed. The classic TRAP of who follows the laws and who doesn’t ultimately creating a whole lot of victims waiting to be slaughtered.
But hey… this is the USA… can’t happen here right?
I fully expect this carrier group is going to be ordered to stand down and become targets and to be sunk and/or captured. If you think the GIFT of US resources and HUMAN SACRIFICE in Afghanistan was enormous and beyond imagination, consider this possibility.
They are there to “posture” this as the reason they are positioned there. That’s what they will tell the public. But what will happen when the capture of US vessels and personnel by Iran under Obama happens again and it’s an order of magnitude+ GREATER?
Well, it’s par for the course, or maybe part of the plan, that Biden sends the newest, and most non-functional carrier in the fleet. The electro-magnetic aircraft launchers and the new arresting system don’t work for squat. The Kitty Hawk (CV-63), with its proven, traditional, hydraulic-launch catapult system, could run rings around the Ford (CVN-78) as far as reliability, and launch rate. The freakin elevators don’t even work properly on the Ford. Some contractor(s) wouldn’t be terribly unhappy to see it sunk.
“Don’t work for squat” is a techical term that might need some amplification.
EMALS has a jagged history…no doubt about that. It does appear to fall into the mutli-sigmas area of the curve when it comes to DoD traditional cost/schedule/performance over-runs and under-delivery.
On the flip side, this is not uncommon for technically complicated efforts. Working the leading edge of physics and environment constraints on new weapons systems is a really tough challenge. Trying to meet ever changing requirements/specs as threats continually evolve is no easy task. The “thinkers that be” decided some time in the past that recruiting, demographic patterns, etc., ultimately portended greater manning constraints. Toss in post-Viet Nam priorities to reduce man/woman-in-the seat risks (i.e., increase stand-off ranges) and you have a driving force that propels the direction of technical innovation.
I deployed on the Kitty Hawk. Great ship. Terrific ship’s company. It had its share of problems with steam cats and traditional arresting gear systems; very maintenance intensive technologies – with their own set of dangers.
So the Gerald Ford is the one selected to fail and be catastrophically hit?
Something symbolic about the name?
I wonder who is the commanding officer on board.
Praying for all our sailors, who are very possibly set up for another Cole incident, or Marines Barracks incident.
Praying for all families of sailors in that carrier group. May Almighty God be strong to save.
Nice to see the Sixth Fleet heading for Israel, but I’d rather see the Fifth Fleet heading for the Persian Gulf…..
I’d like to see ANYONE defend US borders!
This report on how Hamas allegedly outsmarted Israel is so bizarre, that it’s now harder than ever to NOT suspect that Netanyahu pulled a Cheney and just allowed the attack to happen.
https://news.yahoo.com/israel-duped-hamas-planned-devastating-223906170.html
“From the perspective of Iran, they have an interesting decision. Keep the happy geopolitical leverage they have with the Biden administration or put the Biden administration into a corner by activating their Hezbollah terrorists.”
What if the biden admin is actually INTENDING to be put into a corner? In that case, Iran further improves their favored position with the biden admin by activating Hezb’Allah against Israel now. In this scenario, the biden admin would continue their policy of duplicity in all things, feigning opposition while actually supporting it.
Some suggest the above state of affairs, based on the fact that EVERYTHING the biden admin is doing is putting America further into a corner, accompanied by a steady stream of lies.
The more Israel is put on the ropes, the more biden aid and weapons rushed to Israel, the weaker the US becomes now, including militarily, as Ukraine has been depleting US weapons and adding to the US debt already. A rational observer might conclude that this is all part of a larger Plan.
BRICS+ is getting stronger. The biden regime puppet strings are apparently controlled by BRICS+ leader China. It has been observed that this means that the US and BRICS+ member Russia are actually on the same side in Ukraine – for all we know they are coordinating behind the scenes. Russian ally Iran is joining BRICS+, which then points to a likely covert coordination between biden regime and Iran in the current Israel situation, too, a conclusion further supported by the biden admin actions to support and fund Iran.
We are exhorted to focus on local conditions and security, family preparedness, and self-defense now, this is good advice. But don’t lose sight of the big picture, either.
While everyone is fully focused on the atrocities and the rush to war in Israel, the US debt is accelerating, after Congress pushed the problem out again to November. This appears to be according to Plan, it will take the US down soon*. The Israel situation is ensuring the American people look away from this accelerating self-destruction mechanism reaching the end of the line.
https://www.zerohedge.com/economics/bidenomics-national-debt-increases-another-half-trillion-just-20-days
(* Unless: The global war developments including Israel could be a mechanism to “reset” the US debt and “suspend” Constitutional law by dragging the US into a declaration of war. It’s either that or the US crashes on the debt. Which end state do you think the Fourth Branch would be working to support?)
Watch for counterintel operators to pile on to gaddafly’s post with their muddying nonsense.
That will tell us it is over the target.
Gaddafly,
Keep going, the end state looks like this:
A covertly-coordinated “multipolar global governance” with forever wars to keep the populations in fear under totalitarian control, including a reduced US controlled by the Fourth Branch with a “reset” monetary system (wiped sovereign debt, all-CBDC), and 100% surveillance beyond Orwell’s wildest nightmares (it already is).
With BRICS+ on top.
Sorta like a post-postmodern rendition of 1984.
🙏🏻
Note that Israel COCOM area of responsibility was transferred from EUCOM to CENTCOM Jan 2021. SECDEFs Austin and Mattis were former CENTCOM commanders. SOCCENT (spec ops) is a subordinate unified command to CENTCOM.
It’ll be interesting to learn North Arabian Gulf force presence.
It’ll also be interesting, though we will obviously not know, what the rules of engagement will be for deploying forces.
If I win 6 billion in the lottery and put it in my “savings” account in my bank in Qatar, do you think my bank will let me borrow 6 billion using my savings as collateral with no questions asked? This is how the Obama Three Administration is safeguarding Iran’s 6 billion “fun money” funds.
You can bet that Obama is clearly behind this in some manner. Biden is purely the channel through which his master operates. Biden couldn’t even find GAZA on a map.
Almost the entirety of the “Biden Presidency ” has been a mirror image (dark instead of light) of the Trump Presidency.
Prediction:
Next Scene: In contrast to President Trump bringing all those hostages home without paying any ransoms – even the ones who hated him -Biden/Obama will do exactly nothing to get the hostages back or offer updates, aid, and comfort to the families (and probably 100 percent of those scared and grieving families hate President Trump and voted for Biden).
In other words, the Obama approach to dealing with terrorists and terrorists governments who take American hostages is back, in full.
The Mockingbird media ignored both President Trump’s successes and Obama’s hostility and indifference to Americans.
It won’t be able to ignore this.
Lessons are being learned, in blood.
Neither can Obama but he’s hired all the help he needs just like he did while president.
Now that Ukraine laundromat is coming to an end, all it took was an investment of $6B to set in motion the next MIC laundromat.
So far, this is like watching conservatives fall for the trick and abandoning their principles over masks and lockdowns all over again. Hamas is evil, but Israel can fight its own wars and we should not fall for this manipulation into WW3. Bibi was the first world leader to congratulate Biden on his “win”.
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/white-house-may-combine-aid-israel-ukraine-single-package-jam-conservative-holdouts
But note how EVERY stinking pol, including RFK, Jr and DJT (lol, well maybe not Omar and Tlaib) are bleating about how “the US must support Israel”. The fix is in.
Yup.

We all need to slow down especially me. I assumed this was a Psalm 83 scenario were the enemies of Israel were neutralized so that a future Ezekiel 38-39 could occur. However, there are a lot of questions and I am not sure if we are all being played 1 more time. Take a listen and decide for yourselves.
The one-side-only-guilty bloodlusting warmongers have infested The Treehouse. Holy shit.
Too many conservative Christians with a hard on for Israel.
The Israeli/ Palestinian conflict go on until the US globohomo empire is ended. The Brics led by china and Russia will solve the conflict.
Why not use USA destroyers to level Gaza and keep Hezbelah in Lebanon?
Should send carrier to 5th Fleet Arabian/Persian Gulf to send message to Iran.
Only a small Amphibious Ready Group in Persian Gulf, little strike capability. Almost useless, without carrier.
Israel can handle Hezbollah.
Remember 1983, we ran strikes and used 16in guns of USS New Jersey off Beirut.
Did nothing. US plane shot down.
Them Marine Baracks hit by truck bomb.
Biden Regime are fools, they are reacting to symptoms not the disease.
Iran
Now Joe has possession of new classified documents to put into his garage.
Follow the money. Who benefits from a new middle east war?
Well, if it’s the same goons that were responsible for the plandemic, the clot shot, Ukraine, and Joebama, then it’s the crew that’s having their coffers emptied as we speak by the Fed raising rates and draining the offshore dollar markets. They’re getting desperate after failing over and over with their plans to take over the world.
How difficult would it be for them to create a BLM type agitprop, rage stoking machine in Gaza, maybe even to infiltrate the Israeli settlers and those pushing to rebuild the Temple Mount on the site of the Al Aqsa mosque? Then they can do their usual thing, “let’s you and him fight.” To me, that says they want the US and Iran to be drawn into a widening conflagration, draining our resources by fighting a bigger war, the one they wanted in Ukraine. Iran is a chief Russian ally, so that would be nifty too.
If cooler heads in the DoD and Iran prevail, we might get through this one too.
Reason 3 for Iran and the US to not starting a 2nd front vs Israel …. leverage.
The US, EU and Qatar speaking for Iran are going to demand a negotiated settlement as well as work to slow and limit the Israeli Counter-Attack to allot stand-off attack destruction only and very limited ground occupation if any.
Allot of destruction by air strikes, missiles, artillery, et al will be allowed. Those attacks are the sound of the Aid to Palestine from ALL Western and UN Sources … cash register ringing … “rebuild the Gaza”.
Occupation of Gaza by Israel will be “diplomatically opposed” by ALL the Western Powers … with release of the leash on the Iranian Forces in Lebanon as the threat.
This is the real reason for the US to deter Iran at this time.
The threat of the introduction of major foreign combat assets into every “Arab-Israel” Conflict, since 1948 has included this very real threat … with the US being “moderating voice of reason” holding back the Israelis in the face of the foreign intervention.
It is a script replayed over and over for the past 75+ years.
Placating to those bent on your destruction and to your own useful idiots is never a good strategy. And Israel has been placating since its inception.
That’s why I always ask when viewing a video of someone being assaulted, beaten or murdered in an American city, “How did she vote?”
The war mongers may yet get their third world war.
is it not strange that Israel is acting like it’s some big effort to bomb fish in a barrel? All of Palestine is an open jail fenced off by Egypt and Israel. They can’t even flee to the sea. If they are going to bomb the hell out of the 2M inhabitants of Palestine, what’s the big dramatic “it’s going to take months”. Clearly, they have the narrative all Palestinians are pigs and will be bombed…
Also, why are they doing this? meaning what’s the angle or who benefits? If they wanted to crush the enemy they could easily do it. Do they want to scatter Palestinians all over(not sure how they can even leave), or upset the order of things with surrounding Muslim nations and get them frothed up?
Are they wanting a war so they can send israelis to colonize Ukraine?
This all seems off. Rockets and attacks happen all the time and then israel crushes it.
Also, why would hamas not attack the power grid or something of value if they were trying to cause havoc or be in a war? They attack a gay nightclub and puppies and babies and old women?
This has all the signs of a manufactured war like Ukraine.
You really don’t know do you. Gaza is a massive den of evil with booby traps, snipers, extensive underground tunnels, and hidden traps everywhere. Instead of spending money on their society, Hamas spends it on paying martyrs family’s off, mass indoctrination, fortification and systems designed to fight Israel, and training terrorists to kill Israelis, rather than for the benefit of the Palestinian people.
If you got stung by a bunch of hornets, please don’t tell me you wouldn’t completely destroy the nest!
Will the Air Force be based in Cyprus?
What Hamas did was wrong because war crimes, genocide, mass murder and other crimes against humanity are wrong.
If you practice or advocate for the above you are evil. Now look at the bombing damage videos from Gaza and tell me you see targeted strikes against individual terror cells and not mass murder.
Please Pray for OUR US SAILORS, SOLDIERS, MARINES and USCG personnel. This is going to be a very difficult to manage military operation. It will involve extremely long hours and focus and commitment to duty.
For anyone interested, you may send letters of prayer and support and encouragement to the Commanding Officer (and crew) using this address:
USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78)
FPO AE 09523
Having been deployed myself, many times, it was very good for morale receiving letters “from back home”.
Here is what the crew loves to hear: something fun and positive that is happening back home. A photo even of something wonderful. Maybe even a recipe you send to the crew subsistence specialist. A poem or some nice well written letter from THE HEART.
Remember, these are young men and women who are serving the US. That is you and me. Even IF you have strong emotions about this conflict, it is very important to communicate with these people…they are representing you. That is how I always understood it. It is a good feeling knowing that people, you have never met are thinking about you and care about you.
God Bless America
God Bless America
noting: Capt. Rick Burgess is the Commanding Officer.
A neophytes assessment fwiw. The atrocious attack and revolting actions by Hamas – and thereby owned by Iran- brought the required world response to full war level. Intended? Only if Hamas and Iranian leadership are total fools with a suicide wish, which I personally doubt. In my book, alternative sources provided the incentives, orders, and directed numerous extreme actions to manipulate intelligence failures and the atrocious terrorist actions. Suicidal results for Hamas, Iran? and allies, but beneficial to the needs of neo-cons and NWO – fwiw.
HAMAS not being the brightest terrorists mistakenly believed the world would prevent Israel from totally destroying them. An Israeli spokesperson said the number dead in Israel is equivalent to 25,000 Americans per capita. Just imagine how we would react to that.
The other thing here, not spoken about, is how personal these attacks were. In America, 9/11 was a mass attack against indiscriminate targets. There was no one on one killing. In Israel, there were inhumane terrorists with swords who purposefully targeted innocent civilian women, children, and elderly by chopping them to pieces in their homes.
I know what 9/11 felt like but I can not fathom the anger and need for retribution from Israel. It will not be stopped by any crying or begging for mercy. It will not be stopped by politicians or countries pleading for de escalation. It will stop when it is done!
It looks like Hezbollah has decided to stick their toes in the water. From The Times of Israel:
https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/hezbollah-claims-anti-tank-missile-attack-on-israeli-border-post/
They will probably bombard Hamas with transgender and climate change propaganda. That’s our military’s go to weapons.
Seal Team 6 has been transformed into an all black transgender force in high heels.
Do not take the bait. Israel, with our support, but not flesh and blood, has to prosecute its own defense and destruction of Hama, Hezbollah, and maybe Iran. Our country is now infested with fifth columnists who could be launched against our people and our infrastructure at any moment. We must look inward for our survival. When in doubt, do nothing. Observe and listen. Prepare and secure resources.
“the U.S. will need to intervene on behalf of Israel”
Why? It’s not our war. We didn’t intervene when Azov were dropping cluster bombs on ethnic-Russian Ukrainians, so why are we sending entire carrier groups to interject ourselves in someone else’s war?
Suddenly, everything the right has been saying about regionality and existential threats to the US don’t apply anymore when one of the parties involved is Israel, and nobody seems to notice. When has it ever been the case that bipartisan political support, bolstered by the corrupt media and military-industrial complex, was a sign of something good?
The right has become unhinged by the same propaganda operations denounced daily on this website. All it took was for Israel to be involved.
