I like TS for the information available there; echo chambers aren’t my thing either. Because TS user population is magnitudinally smaller than Twitter, I can get good breaking or new info there much faster than via Twitter, from my experience. That may be because of who I follow on either platform.
Twitter is actually pretty good now. I swore Id never go there, but it is one of the only places, you can speak your mind, and call out the leftism nonsense, without fear of being shut up.

I peruse Twitter on occasion since Musk took over. I had it in the beginning with over 500 followers. Deleted it after they squelched free speech and worse. Now I am careful not to watch young girls or grandparents getting beat to a pulp. Heart wrenching.

While I have previously watched some twitter videos of unwarranted brutal violence, I made a decision a while back to ignore them going forward.
My reasoning: The crimes were not done to me or anyone I knew; the incidents were already history, and by the time I saw them hundreds if not thousands of others already had viewed them as well, and the authorities in that area were either already notified or had already apprehended the perp(s).
Most of the time these are just voyeuristic violence videos used to generate views. I don’t want to give the poster the additional view.

Taibbi was a #NeverRussiagater, and was canceled for it. It wasn’t so much about defending Trump, per se, as it was about the absurdity of the whole concoction, and the MSM’s alleged “journalism” of the time. The whole episode was B.S. from top to bottom, and he wrote about it as such. The Left hated him for it.
I saw him on Joe Rogan… oh… a few weeks back… and I think this whole #TwitterFiles deal has shocked him into reality, like a healthy dose of voltage from an AED.
As Sundance has written several times, Taibbi is just scratching the surface of a very Big Picture. BUT the more folks who travel in/around his circles and can promote The Truth, the better… and some of those folks have very big audiences: Joe Rogan, Russell Brand, Tim Pool, Jimmy Dore, etc. etc. That’s about 25 million subscribers on YouTube alone, right there… and they’ve all taking the bull crap head-on over the last couple of years… keeping that large audience informed.
The other previous liberal real journalist is Glenn Greenwald, who experienced the reality of censorship on the site he founded ‘The Intercept’ and wound up leaving as a result. I ‘discovered’ Greenwald 1st a year or so ago and Taibbi a few months later. I subscribe to both as well as Tim Pool’s Timcast. Their perspective and insight is refreshing.
But the Treehouse is my only daily read. Sundance’s analysis is the best and I see it turning up in more & more places.

He is, and always has been, that increasingly rare breed of journalist that actually follows the facts of a story and tries to report on them accurately, regardless of his personal opinion of the subject or the people involved. When I read Woodstein’s books and watched All The President’s Men, I was sold the impression that journalists worked the phones, walked to people’s homes for information and fretted with their editors about whether the story was solid.
It would have been more honest for them to have said right off the start that journalists don’t dig up information, they have it handed to them, and in the case of Woodward, used to work in the intelligence area of the Pentagon and that he was placed at the WaPo and that he knew Felt from his days at the Pentagon and the reason Felt gave him the roadmap is because Felt was pissed off at Nixon for passing him over in favor of Pat Gray.

Thank you for this, SD. While I agree with Matt on most points, his description of the politicsl parties being total opposites of what they were doesn’t really match reality. Perhaps they were portrayed that way in the media and Matt was part of that problem. The original republican party has been anti-slavery, pro constitution (pro 2A), pro life, etc. and perhaps some Democrats may have fit into that. But the “party of JFK” is now Marxist/Communist, and the RINOs have been enablers. If not for PDJT, none of the corruption would have been exposed. As a sidebar, in some of the speeches that Malcolm X gave, setting aside his dislike of this country, he said that the (white) liberals are much more dangerous than the (white) Conservatives, because the liberals are deceitful and pretend to be your friend while they use/exploit you.

I’m going to have to disagree a bit on this one, I believe it may be a ‘slippery slope’.
I was uncomfortable with how this young man took our Free Speech and extended it to the ‘propaganda of foreigners’. He says that it is the ‘Principle of Free Speech’. I do not believe that the seduction of our people is an especially wise thing to be encouraged. It can very easily be detrimental and cause them confusion.
Starting at approx. 3:15, Matt opens a door that is better left closed, in my opinion. He states that the Am. people can withstand the propaganda of other countries. There is both Truth and error in this statement. The truth is that we are a vibrant and strong country that, at least historically, has withstood such propaganda. However, the reality of today is that socialism/marxism has taken quite a foothold in our country and that has happened as a result of seductive propaganda. He is correct when he states that he doubts that they will succeed unless we do a very very bad job of talking to our own people about what our goals are. Sadly, this is what has taken place. When the teachers in many of our schools at all levels do not teach Am. goals, but those of socialism, etc., we’ve already done a very very poor job. I do not believe it to be wise to further add to the ‘indoctrination’ by supporting foreign propaganda and branding it as ‘Free Speech’. It is, in fact, weaponized speech.

Compared to the propaganda that is coming out of our government, our media, and our social media, foreign media sources are often the only way to estimate what might be really going on. TheDuran is foreign media. RT is foreign media. ModRussia report is definitely foreign media. The Cradle is foreign media. Moon of Alabama is foreign media, but I have found all of them offer a lot more insight on what is going on in the world than The Washington Post, The New York Times, Politico or even Fox News. The press is not free when it is bought by multinational corporations and the more sources we have for news, the less likely we are to be duped by our own country’s propaganda.

Most definitely our own gov has used Propaganda on everyone, including its own citizens. We experienced that on steroids regarding the toxic jab.
