Understanding the DC game of Chaff and Countermeasures…. A “Countermeasure” is a measure or action taken to counter or offset a preceding one.
Politically speaking, the deployment of countermeasures is a well-used tactic by professional politicians in Washington DC to counter incoming public inquiry and protect themselves from anger expressed by the electorate. The republican leadership are very skilled in the management of “chaff” (outrage), and “countermeasures” (the distraction).
Weaponized government serves its own interests. The countermeasures are DC politicians assigned a role to control the incoming righteous inquiry from voters who find out about the weaponized or corrupt governmental action. In the republican wing of the UniParty, it looks like this:

The primary purpose of the legislative branch of our government is to write laws. Well for sometime now the law writing has been relinquished to special interests in DC, who then through lobbyists get their bills sponsored by a legislator (s). The legislative branch also has oversight responsibility. Essentially this has turned into a soap opera, lots of theatrics and oratory exchanging but in the end zero accountability and the corruption goes on. Finally the legislative branch holds the power of the purse or funding mechanism. This to they have conveniently modified to limit their responsibilities. No more budgets. Instead we have reconciliation bills, base line budgeting limiting cuts and other chicanery to fool the American people. This is what has evolved because both the parties and all members of the senate and house are sponsored by the same corporate and foreign donors along with the same goal of forwarding the globalist agenda. Now we have rigged elections. The future for America is at best bleak.

They weren’t “caught flat-footed”, they were complicit. The point of the ’22 midterms was to knock off as many Trump-endorsed candidates as possible, and to make sure not one “election denier” won election. IOW, it was intended to tamp down the populist resistance. And many have been fooled by it.
WE, as in MAGA had GREAT Candidates, and the Uniparty, both R’s in the primary, and D’s in the general, put up HORRIBLE Candidates.
“Better candidates” is NOT the answer, because bad candidates wasn’t the problem.
And, FUNDING isn’t the problem, either.
Our great MAGA candidates had no problem overcoming spending ratios of 10:1.
Our problem is figuring out how to overcome the roadblocks the enemy has put in place over many years, to prevent representative government.
After Perot, the Uniparty, both wings put in place impediments to a new “third party” being able to gain political power and threaten the Uniparty.
And, they subverted the leadership of the existing third parties, to neuter them as a threat.
They destroyed the Tea Party, by blatantly exposing their single party acting like two parties in opposition as we all watched.
Obama (Dems) stalled the organisations by preventing fundraising, long enough for the Mcs to send in operatives to undermine from within.
Enter DJT and MAGA. And once again we see, when forced to defend itself, the Uniparty drops its “panda mask” of being two opposing parties, and exposes its true nature, as both wings work together to defeat MAGA, and show that THEY don’t really care if its Uniparty-D or Uniparty-R, whether for one office, or control of Congress.
And now with the midterm dust settling, they are already hard at it, trying to reestablish the illusion of two opposing parties (just as I predicted) announcing HEARINGS of Hunters laptop, and taking Chris Wray “to task”, so that WE will “pretend not to know things” and join together with Rinos, in “party unity” to “beat the Dems, cause they are worse!”.
I don’t know what the answer is, I kept hoping that with ENOUGH exposure of the true nature of the Uniparty, the Rinos would be destroyed.
The evidence is yuge, and it takes willful blindness NOT to SEE it (pretending not to know things) and yet THEY (RINOS and their useful idiots) are pushing the papering over.
Unless and until the MAGA movement declares political, social and cultural WAR on the RINO/GOPe I feel like WE are fighting a losing battle.
You have identified the existential dilemma we face. I have no soothing nostrum to make anyone feel better. Voting Republican is clearly not the answer, uprisings will be met with Stalinist brutality, third parties are a waste of time and Donald J. Trump is not our savior.
He is our leader.
No man is the savior.
That doesn’t mean that PDJT wasn’t sent by the savior.

We can learn from the Brazilians. They are refusing to tolerate election theft primarily because they know what socialism does – it creates misery.
Start at your city council and school boards. Talk to your neighbors and develop candidates for those positions and work to get them elected.
If ballot harvesting is legal in your state, build a ballot harvesting team.
There are numerous ways to fight back and win.
Been saying pretty much the same thing since about two days after the election. In order to beat the Uni-Party system, we have to embrace it, and get better at it than they are. Needs to be done from the grassroots up. We are at war, even if it isn’t kinetic. We need to fight it as dirty as they do, and use their tactics against them.
We obviously can’t do it by voting
