All around this western world of ours we find ourselves surrounded by economic pretenders and financial pundits, perhaps intentionally stuck, using old school economic theory to analyze a new era in government manipulation of the economy. It’s maddening… but at least we do not need to pretend on these pages.
Milton Friedman was not wrong at the time he stated that inflation is driven by monetary policy. Print money and the value of it diminishes; this is true.
However, we are in an era that Friedman never foresaw, nor could he fathom, where the structural policy of government is created to intentionally shrink economic activity.
Purposefully reducing energy resources and then purposefully reducing economic activity to match the diminished level of energy available, is the underlying purpose of what the western globalists call “Building Back Better.” The claim of “climate change” is the justification for their action. Too few people truly understand this, and as a result we see false arguments about the root of inflation being presented.
The ROOT CAUSE of modern western inflation is the intentional shortage of traditional energy resources (coal, oil, gas), which is driving up the price of the everything attached to the use of energy, everything. It is a supply side causation with policymakers trying to forcibly shrink energy demand. Quit making excuses in any other direction.
As energy products skyrocket, everything attached to the energy product rises in price – that is a supply side issue. Yes, if you wish to be obtuse and support the justification from the policymakers, you can -if you chose to join the pretending- argue that demand for energy is the cause. However, demand for energy is far more consistent than the reductions in the supply that have been created.
If it took a bucket of coal to power your house for a month, and I was driving around your neighborhood with a limit of six buckets of coal, each bucket would be worth more than last month because each neighbor would become increasingly desperate for the energy resource.
Neighbors would outbid each other in order to secure their bucket of coal. The price of the bucket increases with fewer and fewer buckets available. This is supply side inflation. No new houses are built, the demand is the same. It is the lesser availability of the coal buckets that is driving the price.
Policymakers want you to lower your energy use, ie lower your standard of living, to match the decreased availability of the energy resource (microeconomics).
In the macro view the monetary policy makers are doing the same thing to the aggregate economy by raising interest rates to shrink it (shrinking demand). This is being done on purpose. This is the agenda of Build Back Better. Quit making excuses for it or buying into their false justifications.
Milton Friedman was correct in his era, about expanded monetary policy making money worth less. However, Friedman never foresaw a time when government policy would be intentionally designed to reduce key supplies.
Government is regulating and restricting energy development, driving the price for each unit of energy developed higher, and as a deliberate outcome inflicting economic pain. Friedman never saw this in his lifetime. Friedman never saw true supply side inflation on this scale.
The private sector (energy providers) is restricted by policy makers. This is purposeful. Remove the regulatory and policy stranglehold restricting supply, and the downstream prices will drop. Unfortunately, and collectively, western leaders do not want prices to drop…. which would increase demand and expand economic activity. So, they continue to intentionally shrink the western economies.
As people are paying more for basic life sustaining energy products, they stop purchasing anything else.
Housing, shelter, energy, food and fuel are the priority. For most wage earners that’s all they can afford. The result is lower western nation economic activity on non-essential goods and services, which is the plan.
Consider this [Import Data]:
September is traditionally the month when all holiday goods arrive. The Port of Los Angeles (POLA) is the largest port in the United States. The slowdown of goods being imported [DATA HERE] is a majority outcome of a drop in demand for those goods. The Port of Long Beach [Data Here] is the same.
And the issue is not just West Coast ports. All ports are seeing a massive drop in imports:
[American Shipper] – […] September’s 313,311-TEU decline versus August was the steepest month-to-month drop recorded by Descartes since the 364,454-TEU plunge in February 2020 versus the month before, back when Chinese authorities first locked down Wuhan.
“We’ve had a pretty significant correction here,” said Chris Jones, executive vice president of industry and services at Descartes Systems Group, in an interview with American Shipper on Monday.
This is normally the time of year when imports seasonally decline — but not by this much. “There was an inflection, and it was a big one,” he said. “In some respects, this is not inconsistent with other years [pre-COVID]. It’s just more severe.” (read more)
With demand for non-essential goods and services collapsing, and with the economy continuing to shrink, why would the central banks keep raising interest rates?
Quit being a codependent enabler. Accept the reality…
The central banks, including the U.S. federal reserve, are trying to shrink the economy.
Energy policy is driving supply side inflation. Monetary policymakers are trying to support the energy policy by lowering economic activity to the level of decreased energy development.
The central banks are justifying rate increases saying they are trying to lower inflation by lowering demand. This part is true. However, the demand they are trying to lower, is the demand for energy.
The politicians and banks are trying to make people poorer.
Poor people are easier to manage.
This is ultimately what they mean by “managing the transition.”
You are what is being managed.
Every other claim is bullsh!t.
“We’re all familiar with the fact that the press has historically leaned to the left. That’s not what we’re looking at now. We’re looking at something very, very different. We’re looking at the press as being a part of the intelligence community. They are the ones who is putting these operations out there.”

“America is a 50/50 nation, with slightly more voting Democrat.”
“The Republican party advocates for Conservatives; family values, strong military and less Government.”
IMHO, THESE are the fundamental false narratives, key to all the rest.
Even more important than destroying the false narratives that the MSM is “unbiased”, exposing and desroying THESE narratives destroys the enemy.
Remember the relatives of the news media worked for Obama. It 👃👃and many were not qualify for the jobs
Yes, I remember the flow chart connecting them all. Obama was a busy bee.
And years of fraudulent elections run by Democrats have reinforced those false beliefs! If we ever had elections free of Democrat interference those “fundamental false narratives” would be shattered!!!
I disagree….I do not believe this is a 50/50 nation……more like 40/60. The vote cheat and the fake polls have you believe it….include the strong propaganda of the media. Hell it might even be 30/70. I truly believe that CA is slightly red but the cheating that goes on and we saw it with the recalls . CA is a dem captured state. They also are letting illegals vote this has got to stop. If it is in the Constitution that only citizens can vote….why is this being allowed in CA and NY?
You know why. Dem policies cannot win on the merits, therefore they must cheat and lie to win elections.
Make vote fraud a capital crime.
I disagree. America is not a 50/50 nation. The propaganda and rigged elections just make you think it is.
If these economic pundits were to invest their money in the schemes they push and according to their predictions they would soon go broke. If they were to run private companies on this advice these would go bankrupt and be discredited.
They have no skin in the game…therefore, we know they are lying….
I would argue they DO have skin in the game.
They probably get tips from their crooked pals in government who get inside information that they use for their investments.
Their skin is off of OUR backs.
And any peon who discovers a way to hack their game, gets sent straight to purgatory. Example: The “little people”, the outsiders who engineered the Reddit / Game Stop short sale stock price collapse.
“The politicians and banks are trying to make people poorer.
Poor people are easier to manage.“
So are scared people. And ignorant people. We have a trifecta happening.
They wouldnt be doing that if they thought elections were fair. btw
Truer words were never spoken.
It was not mass psychosis that made politicians, presidents and congresses do this to people. It was greed and evil intent. Do not forget that. Saying the entire medical establishment et all were under a spell is nonsense. They knew what they were doing and are culpable.
I believe this government is blowing right past making people easier to manage … and going straight to total government dependence. We’ve already seen the food stamp, err EBT card dependents explode in number … now we will start seeing the FULL welfare rolls swell. I honestly believe the current Democrats want to see “virtual” EBT bread lines, and mass numbers of our citizens doing GREEN NEW DEAL WPA-styled make work “eco” projects. Yes … that’s the “utopia” the eco-FRAUDS envision. 75% of our population as nothing more than government slaves. The remainder will be dining at The French Laundry, and swilling $1,200 bottle of Chateau Lafite
Chicago is going to start the $500 a month guaranteed income program, soon, oh, but one must “apply” for it.
That’s nice. $500 a month won’t even buy groceries. Then what?
Riots.
With a photo ID?
Yes, but pissed off people, who REALISE they have been manipulated and decieved, are NOT “easier to manage”.
^^^THIS^^*
I don’t know how I didn’t see your comment, spot on.
Gad! I sincerely hope that there are enough of us.
They also fail to consider that there are more of us than they.
A. Control the guns, and the people are easier to manage. [A characteristic of most governments; = ranting citizens without guns are just background noise.]
B. Control the news media, and people never realize they have been manipulated. [Especially, if the truthful news is censored, or put out of business.
C. Scare people into taking a ‘medicine’ that is ineffective and dangerous. ….. If the medicine ‘shot mixtures’ causes early death or infertility, the people left will be easier manipulated, and deceived.
D. Reduce the availability of food in our world, which would cause mass starvation. … Those left alive would kiss the hand of government, which provides them bread. … But, who would do something like that on purpose?
E. Rules for Radicals: = “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” … Try to convince citizens, all their problems are actually caused by Trump and Putin. … Could the fake news create political noise, with such an outrageous allegation? = [Maybe, long enough to place Trump in Prison, and put Putin in an early grave. … But our government wouldn’t create false charges against an American ~ would it?]
Love your post.
Think of the inverse of your item C.
That is correct. Also, that is why they intend to disarm us.
Indeed Dutch. They start blocking roads with their tractors
Unless they are suffering from malnutrition, no heat in the winter, warm bath once a week.?
And another way they do this is by the psychological infrastructure that targets the average every day consumer, especially the location of sale goods and none sale goods in the grocery stores. Here in my little world, the junk mail has increased…the internet adds and TV adds too…all for stuff I don’t need or want.
Marketing has the main goal of ‘separating one from their hard earned dollars’, pure and simple…and their bottom line is not the same as the average consumer……the financial world is experiencing the effects of ‘kitchen table accounting’ and I suspect it is not pretty.
In my life experience, poor people have a tendency to get rowdy when they feel as though they are being mistreated.
The STONE supporting all of this, is the “ignorant people”. If a person ‘runs’ with what they see and hear on TV, without querying it, and using Common Sense to analyse it, then….
I posted an article on the Presidential thread but will repeat that the US Treasury can not sell the amount of bonds necessary to keep the country afloat. Houston we have a problem.
Nor can strapped people buy corporate debt, invest in the stock market, or save in an IRA/401K
A lot of banks and financial firms will fail as well as corporations.
There will be one bank when they all fail. One and only one central bank for the entire world.
With apologies to J.R.R. Tolkien, “One bank to rule them all, one bank to find them. One bank to bring them all and in the shadows bind them.”
LOL, my thoughts exactly
There are TRILLIONS in retirement accounts…TPTB will confiscate all of it to “spread the wealth” for “equity”. Trying to get my modest nest egg beyond their reach.

fyi typo third paragraph first line never/ever
“The private sector (energy providers) is restricted by policy makers. This is purposeful. Remove the regulatory and policy stranglehold restricting supply, and the downstream prices will drop. Unfortunately, and collectively, western leaders do not want prices to drop…. which would increase demand and expand economic activity. So, they continue to intentionally shrink the western economies”
I agree with this solid point.
but I have to ask, isn’t it also true that energy companies are making record profits by exporting energy to far more lucrative foreign markets while keeping production costs, labor and the overall regulatory costs very low?
ideally, American energy markets should realize that cheaper energy in us domestic markets is a positive for a variety in of reasons and not simply some America first ideal. but that isn’t what we are seeing at all. we are seeing energy producers making a decision to CREATE record windfall profits to foreign buyers and cranking up the prices here domestically.
my view is that the major energy producers are doing less for more and that makes shareholders happy and in the black far beyond what could happen by selling cheap energy domestically.
I don’t pretend to understand the dynamics but clearly prices for energy as an example in Mexico domestically are incredibly cheap by comparison. so it can be done…
it’s seems to be a determined choice to take advantage of the Ukraine war and also this administration directives to reduce demand by making scarcity happen here and jacking up prices.
I am 30 mikes away from some of the largest natural gas ports ( in the world). these were designed specifically to export LNG abroad. this was not an overnight plan. it seems the energy producers have always looked at foreign customers as the priority at least wrt LNG.
I don’t doubt this administration carries the bulk of the policy decisions blame for this energy crisis…but the energy producers seem quite pleased it fits into a larger plan that was set into motion at least ten years ago.
God Bless America
This is being done by the world’s richest, not the world’s smartest. Noticed the frequent use of late about narcississts? Here they are. In their delusions, being the richest means they are the smartest in their minds. As a result, they are making messes everywhere and have considerable resistence building throughout the world. That durn Putin who just refuses to comply and China as well!!
Early in PDJT’s Administration we had something like 20 LNG ports under construction IIRC.
We were working with central Europe who were assembling the Three Seas Initiative with LNG receiving ports and region-wide distribution systems, which would have afforded them substantial liberty to resist both Russia and Duh EU.
That seems to be part of the myriad of global opportunities for peace and prosperity scuttled by the Communist Conspiracy.
Germany, happy to play that role in the Conspiracy, didn’t build such ports and has a very limited capacity to receive such imports. They cannot rely on their underground storage reserves as those essentially function as additive accumulators, they cannot supply gas outright with any degree of reliability consistency or safety on their own, they can only add a small percentage of gas to an unreduced mass-flow and were only intended to lessen costs by banking cheap Summer bought gas to augment expensive Winter gas. The chilling pyrotechnics of NS2 sabotage is nothing compared to what I suspect we will see when they try to operate their massively compromised systems in the cold Winter to come.
I don’t know what role energy companies might have played in actually seeking any of this out. Sundance surely nails it regarding the skyrocketing costs created by scarcity, and it’s the Pols that have created that scarcity as well as the distractions and diversions of energies in the form of our first existentialist global war in several decades.
Problem is European countries are not set up for LNG for storage or converting LNG to a gaseous state.
Indeed.
They could and should sue for peace and rapidly move to save their populations.
But they’ve been doing all the wrong moves including those that cannot even be blamed on Russia such as abandoning nuclear and coal.
Saving their populations is not their goal.
Very informative post. Thank you. The Trans-med & pending East-Med pipelines into Europe via Italy & Greece respectively have been absent from conversations about Europe’s self-inflicted energy crisis. My understanding is that they were intended to wean the Euro-weenies away from dependence on Russian gas.
Love your handle.
Smart post. 🤟
Of course they don’t want gas and oil to flourish because the majority of it is in red states. Can’t have red states making the bulk of the fossil fuel bucks. s/
Actually, there is quite a bit in Blue states as well. They wanted us to be equally poor.
Business is in business to make a profit. Money follows that path. They are just taking advantage of the opportunity that this Administration (and the WEF and Western Con Artists) created.
I don’t think they can be blamed for that. It surely costs them more to ship energy overseas. I’d bet they’d prefer a roaring domestic economy where they could sell as much energy as they could produce for the most efficient cost.
I Agree!
Agree.
Policy decisions come with a price, that pesky 10%…
A County Commissioner told me off the record the Sabal Trial pipeline was to feed a LNG port at Crystal River, Florida.
Yes, I believe that’s where the nuclear plant was. Shame, we could have put that nuclear energy to good use now 🙄
Duke has yet to clean up a leaky containment pond/ vessel for nuclear waste water at the old plant. Test wells in the area show contamination of the groundwater. Duke has been charging all it’s customers a little something extra for the cleanup that has yet to happen.
“but I have to ask, isn’t it also true that energy companies are making record profits by exporting energy to far more lucrative foreign markets while keeping production costs, labor and the overall regulatory costs very low?”
Isn’t THAT using common sense to increase shareholder value? If your business is being intentionally “stymied” in your Home Market ( I stress the “intentional”), then a business should, or must, seek additional sources.
No, the US market does not need LNG, we have pipelines. LNG was always for export only.
Mexico is subsidizing its oil prices, so the lower price is temporary. It has sour (sulferous and sedimented) oil, and none of its 6 refineries can refine its oil into gasoline or jet fuel. MX ships its oil to TX, it gets refined, and sent back to MX, where it’s normally 10-20% more expensive than US gasoline.
Wanna get MX to stop the flow of illegals? Refuse to refine its oil…It would be on its knees within a week.
I never tought they could put this in place. The devil has his ways. Again, this wouldn’t be possible without the help of MSM.
but the “War in Ukraine” is real. They wouldnt lie about that.
True! Santa Claus told me the same thing last night over beers. 😏
Dear Mass: Don’t stop coming up with your incredible pictures. 🙌
If they stop then Im either dead or shadow banned.
Gotta continue shipping those ‘bucks’ out of the Country, so that they find their way back to the brandons, pelosis, schumers, mcconnells, et al.
And the Wuhan Virus Laboratory.
Which is ok to talk about because it means covid is real.
So, when the far Left criticizes capitalism they’re not actually criticizing it for failing, they’re criticizing it for succeeding in making more available to more people.
It’s plethora of injustices and excesses must be corrected by imposing new injustices and excesses.
They criticize it because it rewards those who work harder. They love socialism because it rewards the lazy.
“making more available to more people, cheaper”…. can’t have that.
The general public has no idea of how the economy is being controlled by this administration. Yes ,stolen elections have consequences but what have we done to stop the self destruction? Until the people stand and are heard this insanity will continue. I’m not counting on any changes, even if the red wave materialize. All of the hard work electing MAGA will amount to wasted effort if the republicans continue under the leadership of turtle man and soyboy McCarthy.
I disagree with your view of “the General Public”.
From WHERE do you develop such an image?
In years past, for far too long, the “sheeple” narrative WAS accurate, but no longer.
KL, as an outspoken MAGA Candidate, with her Dem opponent running the election as SoS, with a primary opponent spending $30 million to her $3 million, never the less won her primary resoundingly, in all 15 counties.
WHAT objective evidence, and don’t you DARE cite “polls”! ,…what OBJECTIVE evidence do you have, that supports your contention that “the General Public” has no idea?”
Biden is in the toilet, BECAUSE of the ECONOMIC policies he has implemented, as much as anything else.
I disagree. The sheeple narrative is alive and well. You can tell by how many are still lining up for the clot shot.
As long as people get their news from the MSM and are caught up in the propaganda spewed by social media, most of the general public will continue to live in Lala land. And this what the elite, the globalists and WEF is counting on.
The sheeple will wake up when their cost of living is so high that they have no disposable income and are falling faster and faster into debt. Hungry kids, a cold house and no gas to get to work if they even still have a job, will be the final dose of pain that actually wakes them up to the reality of the world. (as may be happening in Europe this winter).
The final insult will be having an $80,000 dollar electric vehicle forced upon you because gas and diesel are rationed and only for the tyrannical globalists.
Agree
What percent of the general public voted in the primary? Those are the people who know and care. Of those who voted, how many were democrats who believe in their party platform? If we do that math we will have a pretty good idea of what percentage of the general public is aware.
As long as the Senate Democrats vote together, no Republican (not to mention MAGA) legislation can overcome a Biden (White House) veto. The best we can hope for, until The Return in 2024, is gridlock.
War is Peace.
Freedom is Slavery.
Ignorance is Strength.
Dig Hole Deeper is Build Back Better.
And woe be to him that calls darkness light….etc.
No argument with any of this. However there is another equally powerful driver of this inflation. I know people who own businesses that offshored them. I know the pitch. “You are not going to own your intellectual property anymore. You’re going to travel the world and see products that you know you owned the rights to, and you’re not getting paid for them. But in the meantime, you’re going to be making 10 times the money you are now, and you are not going to have to watch over day-to-day operations.” A lot of people went for that. Right now inflation is being used as a financing mechanism for equity. The pitch is fairly similar. “We need you to hire a ton of college educated dead weight. In return, you’re going to get to charge four times as much for your product. So even with the cost of carrying that dead weight, you’re going to make twice the money.” Companies are starting to resemble government agencies with all the dead weight they are carrying. General Motors would be the best example I can think of. Without constant Federal support, GM would crumble in an instant. Like NASA, they no longer have an assembly of talent capable of performing the core mission. It’s no wonder that SpaceX and Tesla run rings around people like that.
“your’re going to get to charge four times as much for your product”….. um… how long will that work, when I am being made poorer by the minute… earning less, and my $$ deroding?
I never said these people are good at math. The overstock in the big boxes proves that you are right
“However, we are in an era that Friedman
evernever foresaw, nor could he fathom, where the structural policy of government is created to intentionally shrink economic activity.”The entire Western way of life has been reversed… within two (we might even say one) years.
When does all of this come to a head and how ?
When enough people get fed up with the tyranny of the politicians. And we are a long way from that.
That’s the real question…wish I knew.
My guess is the winter of ‘23
I’m not sure it does “come to a head”. There are millions of people, maybe tens of millions or more, all over the world, working feverishly at learning what we call “the old ways”. Rather than swearing at the television set and thinking that voting is going to change things.
Just a small example, never in my life have I seen so many people go out and buy a “milk cow” for their family. These aren’t farming people. These are city folk who had enough sense to get out of the city, buy some land, and are learning to “homestead”. They aren’t doing that necessarily because it’s fun. It’s incredibly hard work, incredibly hard. They are learning to heat and cook with wood, learning how to handle human waste without a sewer system, learning to harvest rain water and dig a well, learning to plant and raise animals enough for their families to eat, etc. These aren’t just “hippies”. These are people who have decided to leave the rat race, learn some solid skills, and batten down the hatches. I’m one of those people. And since I left the rat race, I cannot understand why everyone doesn’t.
My two cents.
They have to try something before November 8?
Sundances ‘talk’ about Milton Friedman reminds me of Neil Oliver talking about his World view” pre-Covid, pre red pilling.
He had a foundational belief that TPTB, while they might “get it wrong” might even be stupid at times, had OUR best interests at heart.
The big red pill was realising this isn’t the case, that in fact they are out to deliberately harm us.
My point being, Friedman could not have IMAGINED such a situation as we currently find ourselves in.
Not just in the U.S., but “globally” and Institutionally, we have homicidal psychopaths in charge.
NO ONE could have imagined such a thing, even 10 years ago.
Fortunately, these are NOT smart people; they may be “intelligent” but they are overeducated idiots, driven by IDEOLOGY.
And their ideology dictates they reject the Bible, and reject history, replacing religion with their ideology, and history with their own reimagined history.
They are anti-military, and so eschew the “military maxims” which have been time-tested.
And, they are full of Hubris (and themselves) and arrogance.
THEY will lose, the eventual outcome is pre-ordained. The only variables are how much damage they will do, and the details of how power is finally wrested from them.
How anyone can remain an athiest, or even an agnostic in these times, frankly mystifies me.
That’s the root of it. They have rejected the one true God and made themselves gods. That always ends badly.
Yes. Always. ✝️
Playing both sides covers all their bets. All GOP needs to be cleaned out and replaced. Only a handful we keep, we know who they are,
Actually, I DO wonder about that, a little.
Everyone focuses on U.S. Congress and Senate (at the expence of State Governments, IMHO) so lets go with that.
If Senate and House are like other groups of people, I suspect there are a LOT if “go-along-to-get-alongs”; they aren’t the Decepticons we all know, they just do what leadership TELLS them to do.
They will SEE what happens in Nov; those that aren’t up for election.
And, they will realise THEY are vulnerable to MAGA primary challengers, and that Mitch and McCarthy CAN’T protect them.
At SOME point, a ‘tipping point’ is reached, where they will have to decide;
Stay hitched to the GOPe, and go down, or break free and go MAGA.
I think there may well be a “leadership fight” next year, in both Houses, and while it may not be succesful, just having the fight seriously weakens the leadership, and from that point its a “war of attrition”.
Pick a side, and live or die with the decision is where everyone is headed.
I think there is a decent size number of GOP members of Congress like you describe-they do what leadership tells them but aren’t elderly and raking it in like the ones in leadership and thus care about their own futures. If they realize they are vulnerable to MAGA and see the McConnell wing on the decline, they’ll join with MAGA.
I am STILL wary of ‘the evils’ deciding they don’t want the mid-terms to even ‘happen’.
Replacements first and ready to go, then clean out. Otherwise it will be worse, and it can be a lot worse.
Langford was a huge opportunity missed, he is useless, a Rubio/Coryn light.
Will take many cycles, perhaps an asteroid or a civil war will hasten things.
“While an equality of rights under a limited government is possible and an essential condition of individual freedom, a claim for equality of material position can be met only by a government with totalitarian powers.”
– Friedrich A. von Hayek, The Mirage Of Social Justice
“This makes it imperative, I suggest, that friends of freedom take as one of their primary tasks to clearly and carefully delineate and distinguish their ideal of a truly competitive, free market society from the corrupt and controlled “mixed” economy under which people presently live. Otherwise, the real enemies of free market liberalism will continue to successfully persuade even more people that all the evils and disappointments they face in society is due to what remains of the market and not the extent to which the government has already preempted and compromised what there still is of a free economy.”

Klaus Schwab has a plan and they are following it to the letter.
And, he is repeatedly getting punched in the nose, paraphrasing Mike Tyson.
The plan isn’t working, it is inherently flawed.
Hope you’re right Dutchman. I haven’t had to think about “center of mass” for 30 years.
Can’t we just elect Trump and start drilling and pumping again? Pick up where we left off on the Keystone Pipeline. We all saw how he did it. We just say no thanks to this reckless plan and start up where Trump left off. I have read Sundance for a lot of years and I am as prepared as I can be , but my lifestyle is already being affected. That said, I give thanks for a yard full of deer.
We already did that and they stole it so we have to do it again but not let them steal it.
They are not going to allow Trump back into that oval office…they will use any means possible to block that from happening.
And Mar a Lago is too close to an ocean to be an alternative White House.
Yes and no, but mainly no.
PDJT executed his plan, on top of a relatively healthy American energy sector, booming after fracking.
That has all been de-minimised. It CAN be brought back, with financing (Blackrock and Vanguard control all Corporate financing) and time.
We need MORE refining capacity, and unfortunately refineries suffer from NIMBY, nobody wants them.
And newer small scale Nuclear is vital, going forward but also suffers from NIMBY.
So, yes we can get it back, but it will take TIME, and longer than it did the first time.
In the mean time, we just have to hunker down, and work to insure MAGA extends to State Governments.
Mastrianno in Pennsvania has vowed to open up energy development, aggresively in the way KL has vowed to seal the border.
He KNOWS he will be fighting the Fed govt, and seems eager for the fight.
It was 93 years ago on October 29, 1932, when the market crashed. A huge crash just before the November elections could be a stunner of an October surprise where no one focuses on democrat losses but instead on their 401k losses.
“…no one focuses on democrat losses but instead on their 401k losses.”
Or, no one focuses on the ‘Steal 2.0’ showing dems maintaining control of both house of Congress, albeit by a ‘close margin’.
Or it could crash right after the election and every Democrat says “See, Republicans did that” and the media will say, “Yep, what they said.”
At least 50% of the people in this country have no 401K or other retirement plan beyond SS.
yes we are being ‘managed’…also consider the businesses throughout the globe…survived and thrived with people buying all sorts of stuff at the ‘big box stores, in the last 20-30 years….in reality, could we expect that to go on forever?
Inflation in some ways compensates for the lost purchasing of globalist products, while at the same time, creating the lost purchasing with overall increased costs–and the or more appropriately, “their house” never loses..
So, from the products sold…the supplies that go into making all the chinese junk…I am wondering if there is not a glut of products still floating around out there…because globalists on the hand, figured we would continue our splurging on cheap junk that was really unnecessary in many respects. So, we are not spending. Durable or discretionary goods. And those goods need energy products for production.
Many used the covid times to clean out their houses, others, to buy more unnecessary stuff. I am not by any means a tree hugger…but I often wonder what actually happens to the unneeded stuff that we toss into the garbage? Or unsold clothing.
What happens to the unsold clothing in wally world? I was just there and there are racks and racks of $5 deals on summer clothes that I would never buy anyways, but that’s me…. If not purchased, where do they go? Are there that many poor people in the world to absorb the over production?
Oh well, money talks and mine says “good bye”…
I can tell you where they go. They go to businesses called liquidators. If they have no licensing restrictions, they end up at outlets, salvage stores and deep discount centers like Bargain Hunt and Ollie’s outlet in my area. Some will end up with pallet distributors bought by eBay sellers or other online venue sellers. If they can not be sold in USA they end up on the backs of poor people across the world and show up in news reports with brand new logo clothing and we wonder where they bought them. Some are even cut up into industrial rags for cleaning machines and stuff (needs to be the right fabric). They sell them to liquidators because they can make a bunch of stuff disappear a lot faster than markdowns ever could. The retailer does not get as much money, but that is OK. They are likely already in the black on those items and anything the liquidator pays goes straight to the bottom line.
Well….
Our St. Vincent DePaul thrift store just reopened after 4 months closed -the roof caved in from swamp cooler damage and had to be repaired/replaced.
I went last week. Walmart tags on clothing items. Lowest Walmart price was 6.44 . St. Vincent was selling for 3.00. Winter items and due to the number of same items on rack and sizes…(10 or more)…..
Could it be that Walmart writes them off as a donation at original price, knowing that they over ordered and will probably not be able to sell all of them?
Win for Walmart and win for charity organization?
The only reasons paper money has worth is faith by the buyer that he can exchange paper for something he can eat or enjoy or warm himself or??? and faith of the seller that when he gets that paper in exchange for his bucket of coal he can buy two more buckets of coal. Coal and buckets are wealth as is the heat coal generates. Some still have faith in the paper. When that faith is undermined and Weimar Germany comes to mind, what then?
Stephen Vincent Benet has a southerner wondering about greybacks: use it as a trouser patch or light a fire if you have a match or make a bunny a paper collar or anything else except a dollar.
What happens is that as soon as people get paid, they go out immediately and buy food, TP, gasoline, building materials, because the minute they get paid, that paper money is deteriorating in value. It is spent on basic durable goods which will cost more the next day.
The speed at which that money moves through the economy is called “velocity of money”, and is essential for hyperinflation. It’s measured as the VIX on the stock exchange.
Buy some now, it’s been pretty stable so far, but won’t be for long.
What this leads to currently for me, is the frustration with people bragging about how they
went off the grid, made their own butter because there will be a butter shortage, split their own firewood,
etc. Not that we won’t be in a position to need to do that. But this should not be WWII like.
There are more of us than there are of “them fascists”.
However, instead of giving in to wearing sweaters and keeping our heat down to 65 degrees, we
should be collectively shouting at our politicians. How about threatening them with no campaign
contributions, lawsuits, etc.? We need to take our power back.
So… sorry that I’ve irritated you with my self-sufficiency posts. Not bragging. I’m not off grid by any means, but I do make my own butter, etc. I’m lousy at splitting firewood because I’m not strong enough. My point, in making posts about alternative ways to live is this: We can vote, file lawsuits, scream and yell, write letters, etc etc etc… under a corrupt system it won’t matter. In my mind, I am taking my power back by making sure I and my family will survive a great depression, a socialist nightmare, or communism. I refuse to bow down to a corrupt government. I am also of the belief that potentially the time has passed for us to “take back the country”. potentially. I’m not a quitter, but a realist. I’m not going to wait until the day that the dollar becomes defunct, social credit scores are in place, and the noncompliant (me) are punished. I call that “preparedness”, and I am empowered by it.
Take it for what it’s worth.
I keep saying it: those invested in our destruction are not scared yet. Until they feel wrath and unpredictability every waking minue of their lives, they see no reason to change what they are doing to us.
Well Europe is first at bat.
I don’t think the average person realizes just how automated, supply chain complex and energy dependent just making a can of baked beans is.
Just watch the series “Inside the Factory”. It’s filmed in the UK but the logistics of producing food from farm to fork is the same in all 1st world countries.
For example frozen food manufacturers in Germany are planning to shutdown for fear of losing power to keep their expensive inventory at the right temperature.
Truth is always last at bat.
Yes, they are not afraid of us and they should be.
Truth.
Watching the NFL in Chicago today the ads are ALL political for IN and IL
Abortion leads the way. The D’s have nothing else.
I am her under duress.
What the peeps here believe is unbelievable.
You truly get what you vote for.
Watching the NFL isn’t popular around here. Self respecting MAGA supporters don’t do it. But since pro sports are mostly marketing to women and LGBTQ now, it doesn’t surprise me that the ads are all about abortion, similar to Lifetime or networks like that.
Where’s…..Kaepernick??
a build-up of troops on the Ukraine border, what comes first crash or war? the war pot is simmering.
“War” is such a harsh term. Think of it as the MIC’s build back better or Bailouts Be Bribes to keep necessary forces on BBBiden’s side. Everybody who is somebody gets a piece of the action. Nary a word about its carbon footprint.
Haven’t heard them discuss the carbon footprint of War either. Maybe they think a thermonuclear world war conflict will solve the “carbon problem”. Albeit everyone and everything will be dead after that.
“The great economic pretending” is, more precisely, the “economic war to destroy America.”
Or…
“Inflation is the fiscal complement of statism and arbitrary government. It is a cog in the complex of policies and institutions which gradually lead to totalitarianism.”
~Ludwig von Mises~
I’d say we are only now realizing how far down that road we are. Better to recognize it late than when we hear the shutting of the prison gates and the key turning.
The key hasn’t been turned, but I do wonder if the prison gate has already been slammed shut.
That’s where I’m at. Realism sucks.
I am a realist. But the older I get the worse I become at handling it.
Yep…One goes through a lot of “wising up”, difficulty, etc. in life, hopefully getting wisdom along the way, to enjoy a simple but peaceful retirement, and the thought of living through that crap again in old age is almost too much.
Looking forward to heaven soon.
As Bette Davis said…old age isn’t for sissies…
I always took that to mean in a physical sense, which is true enough.
But I never ever expected to have to deal with the existential horrors we see today. I worry desperately for all who will follow us.
And please don’t exit this earthly realm just yet. We need all our troops right here.😊
Too few people may not understand the policy but a lot understand the downstream effects and associate it with Democrats. All of this BBB nonsense cannot survive a fair election and that is why I will not be surprised in the least if Democrats retain one or both houses of Congress.
The election of 2020 was never scrutinized and a lot of us bury our heads and pretend it was a one-time thing.
Stealing elections, strong arming voters was going on when the Senator from Pendergrast (Truman) went to DC. Always the big city democrat machines. Voters bragged about how many votes they cast. 2020 was just another steal but had to be so much bigger to overwhelm the red tsunami. Only thing different in 2020 steal was its magnitude.
“vote early, vote often”
Bottom line this government is screwing every citizen out of the savings, telling us what our choices are, and destroying the energy sector so they can hurt businesses as well.
You be surprised how much government we don’t need.
I have been off the screens for months because of personal hardships. Once in a while I stick my head up and CTH is always a bastion of comfort. I truly hope that you will be able to accept some post in DJT second admin. The higher the better for America.
Dr. Oz claimed that one-third of our inflation is bc of energy policy.
Biden & Company added $3-4 Trillion in spending on top of previous increased spending.
And we also printed money, lots of money.
If Trump or another true Conservative becomes President in two years they need to televise an economics 101 class like Sundance just did.
That Administration needs to tell the American people what they’re about to do (policies about to be implemented) and watch the prices change (proof of concepts).
They need to demonstrate that the Left’s idea of economics is flawed and was used to intentionally inflict damage.
Just like when Trump showed Obozo was WRONG about the “magic wand” and gas prices DID drop precipitously once responsible adults were at the controls.
Seems to me the American people have had an ideal “teaching moment” with ‘compare and contrast’ between the PDJT admin, and the Biden admin.
For many years, we had the argument, and when a R POTUS was in, they would generally move IN THE DIRECTION of ‘free market capitalism’ A LITTLE.
And then Dems would move it back, A LITTLE.
Hence, for most the debate was largely theoretical.
PDJT radically changed AND improved things economically, and BIDEN radically changed them back, ruining things.
The American public GOT “hit over the head”, and they GET it.
How will the Republicans stop this?
(Assuming they want to?)
Worse, they seem to want a nuclear war. A US general with the 101st in Romania has declared they are ready to go to war with Russia if the conflict in Ukraine “escalates”. Some think the US will send troops to Odessa to block the Russians from getting control. This is insanity! Are we all ready to die for Ukraine? Estimates are a half a billion – with a b! – would die from the blasts or starve to death afterwards. Please deluge your senators and reps with calls and emails demanding the US back off and stop funding this war. Bring our troops home to protect our own borders. None of us will survive a nuclear war with Russia or China.
The elite will shelter in places like Raven Rock and Mt. Airy. When they come out the Earth will be theirs. But who will be left to make their meals and mow their lawns?
take out their trash, dispose of their sewage…
I know a lefty that is addicted to Tik Tok. Having seen their feed on a few occasions, I can tell you with certainty that there is a full court press of left wing propaganda.
Tik tok, like most social media platforms now, keeps everyone in their own little bubble. So if you are a conservative, you probably won’t see much of this. This is how they fuel division and hatred.
I say this, because the current theme is to push the idea that inflation has nothing to do with left wing policies. Its all corporate greed and “as we all know, the right is the party of big corporations and tax cuts for the rich”. Therefore to fight inflation, vote blue.
Its far worse than what you see in the media, and probably reaches further at this point.
They cleverly use useful idiots that look like your “average” influencer. Except if you have a few brain cells to rub together, you can see them walking through their talking points and know there is nothing organic about it or any self research.
I have zero doubt this comes from various intelligence agencies, mostly out of the USA.
Thank you for always posting on the important subjects. Newcomers have no excuses with the constant reminders.
No doubt about it folks we are all being played for suckers by the stooges working for the lame stream media, Bungles Biden and his gang and the international Ruling Elite. BBB/Build Back Broke has always been their plan, but in order to impose their plan on the world they had to first destroy the western worlds economy.
I understand the title to this article. It could also be referred to as the “The Great Economic Lying Continues…”
IF oil / coal is the lifeblood of a nation, THEN the intent of those in (their ill-gotten) power, truly want us dead.
Covid, then the killer faux vaccines, was their first step.
I just haven’t figured out their end game. They will not live forever, at least not here.
They think they’ve invented the biotechnology that will enable them to live forever…
They really do think they’re gods…
Their very minds are compromised by their own lusts.
They have told us their end game. The goal is to decrease the worldwide population to 500 million to 1 billion by 2025.
What Sundance is saying about energy driving supply side inflation, is true. However, we also printed up 40% of all the money in American history in 2020. We have Friedman style inflation on top of this climate change bullcrap inflation too.
That’s pretty much what I said on another forum last week:
I should add that high interest rates and skyrocketing inflation is exactly what we had in the ’70s. We called it ‘stagflation’. And that’s what we’ve got now, only worse.
“Purposefully reducing energy resources and then purposefully reducing economic activity to match the diminished level of energy available, is the underlying purpose of what the western globalists call ‘Building Back Better’.”
SD, may I suggest that you’ve only described the visible part of the WEF elites’ iceberg with that statement. The underlying invisible purpose underlying the visible purpose is population reduction.
Manufactured shortages and devalued currencies are at root directly related to the virus/vaxx scam, the thundering war drums in eastern Europe, and a legion of other seemingly coincidental misfortunes affecting earth’s human population.
These creatures that sneer and swagger across the dais of the west’s parliaments and congresses are fighting a war on many fronts. One fails to see the connections and the overarching pattern at one’s own risk.
True that. It’s amazing to me that people don’t see the connections. Yes, they want us dead. There is no other reasonable conclusion. None.
Bear in mind the fairly recent destruction of the Georgia Guidestones and the inscriptions carved upon them.
The timing was conspicuous. Was it a human act that damaged it originally? Or that of nature’s creator?
More telling I think, was the act of bulldozing the rest of the stones in short order after the fact.
I dunno Sundance – having real the Shales book – the Forgotten Man – the Fed is capable of profound stupid.
There is certainly SOME degree of “overeducated idiots syndrome” on TOP of deliberate diabolical aims.
They are BOTH STUPID and CRAZY, a truly scary scenario, but our reality.
Its not the first time, the leadership of Rome, the French Revolution,…
“The politicians and banks are trying to make people poorer.
Poor people are easier to manage.”
That is what they think but it won’t go as they expect.
How do you square the above with the decreasing price of both natural gas and oil. Although natural gas futures are more than double what they were when Bidan was installed, they have fallen for 7 straight weeks, down 80% from their high. I’m not at all doubting what you say, however the current prices and the trajectory of those prices do not comport with your view.
Although natural gas and oil futures are more than double what they were when Biden was Installed, they have fallen for 7 straight weeks……..
….that is because Biden has been emptying our Strategic Emergency Oil supply.
Bad polling numbers for Biden does not qualify as an “Emergency “, in my opinion.
Natural gas has increased because we are supplying to EU. See Macron recent comments about US selling for 4x more.
That will be soon stopping. Those shipments to EU are jeopardizing our supplies. We will be experiencing higher prices of Natural gas….due to this. Just pray we don’t have shortages.
Final thought is from Neil Oliver …
You don’t sink a ship…
and then boast how many
lifeboats you filled up.
Don’t ignore the barge debacle that is quietly building. At my local grain elevator, the spot price for corn is $5.70 but the February future contract is over $7. If you had a place to store some corn, $1+ a bushel is a good place to make a few bucks, but every storage place is already full. It is not because there is a bumper crop. The barges that usually clear things out can not move the grain as fast as it is coming in because of low water so the elevator cuts the input price to discourage deliveries but farmers need to sell to cover fuel and other inputs that they borrowed money to finance. Farmers sold a lot on futures contracts for September and October deliver that they are fulfilling. It is a supply chain mess with many links, but all of the failures (except low water) can be blamed on market distortions created by government. Oh, there is also a shortage of rail cars, or so they say.
Around here, barges also move a lot of coal and a lot of electricity is still generated by coal.
How about shipping the oil in a pipeline and freeing up the rail for food. S/
Quote” **The ROOT CAUSE of modern western inflation is the intentional shortage of traditional energy resources (coal, oil, gas), which is driving up the price of the everything attached to the use of energy, everything. It is a supply side causation with policymakers trying to forcibly shrink energy demand. Quit making excuses in any other direction.**

“Build Back Better” came from King Charles and the Throne, down through Schwab. We know who are our enemies, and they don’t wear party labels.
Best line: “Quit being a codependent enabler. Accept the reality…”. True.
I’ve never seen so many non-thinking people in my life just parroting what the television tells them. I got rid of the TV and cable probably 5+ years ago. Should have sooner. I refuse to allow their garbage to beam into my home, even if I just want to rest for awhile. #GoodBooks
I wanted to add that it’s not just a matter of reducing energy, it’s also a matter of destroying the ability to grow food. Name your conspiracy: weather manipulation, burning down food production plants, killing and sterilizing people with an injection, etc. Outsourcing all our manufacturing to a hostile entity (China) was on purpose too.
They really do hate America and what she stands for. I’ll never forget this purposeful plunging of our country back into the dark ages. I’ll tell my children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. I despise these people.
