According to the U.S. Energy Information Association (IEA), U.S. storage of Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) is 12% below the five-year average (LINK). Additionally, the IEA is expecting the U.S. to export 11.7 billion cubic feet of LNG per day during the fourth quarter of 2022 — up 17% from the third quarter. The destination of that export is Europe.
Consider that 43% of U.S. households use LNG for home heating, and power suppliers use LNG to create electricity. With the massive 2022 exports of LNG to Europe (+17% in fourth quarter alone), that means lower domestic supplies and increased prices here in the United States for electricity and home heating. We are seeing and feeling these massive price increases right now. As a result, consider this reality….
Not only are U.S. taxpayers directly paying for the majority of costs in Ukraine, but we are also subsidizing the European Union by exporting LNG and driving up the price here at home.
We are directly paying Ukraine, and indirectly paying Europe to maintain gas sanctions against Russia. This is the reality of the current situation as created by the Biden administration.
Now, consider this. The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen held a press conference in Brussels today, announcing five initiatives to contain the expensive EU energy crisis: “The goal is clear. We must cut the revenues of Russia that Putin uses to finance this atrocious war against Ukraine. And now our work is paying off. At the start of the war, gas from Russian pipelines accounted for 40% of all imported gas. Today it has dropped to only 9% of our gas imports. These are tough times. But I am convinced that Europeans have the economic strength, the political will and the unity to maintain the upper hand,” she said. The United States and Norway are the primary suppliers of gas to the EU to fill the void.
Commissar von der Leyden’s five initiatives include:
(1) Conservation of electricity through forced and mandated cuts in electricity use. The amount of the cut has yet to be determined but reducing demand through forced curtailment of electricity use is the first approach. [Insert California as an example here in the United States.]
(2) A cap on the profit generated by energy suppliers who use renewable energy like wind and solar. The renewable industry has lower costs, yet they are profiting from the top line increase in delivered electricity. The EU commissar is proposing to confiscate the profits of Green Energy suppliers, direct the funds to the member states and then use those funds to subsidize the energy costs of poorer EU citizens.
(3) A cap on the profits generated by traditional fossil fuel energy suppliers (oil, coal, nuclear, gas electricity generation), and the diversion of those profits following the same formula as above.
(4) Banking support and financial liquidity for smaller regional energy providers who are having short term financial issues as they must pay massive amounts of money for the raw material needed to generate electricity. Essentially, the cost of coal, oil and LNG has skyrocketed, and there is a lag between the time they energy company must pay for the fuel source and the time the customer pays the electricity bill. The inbound fuel costs (new) are so extreme the inbound payments for prior electricity (old) are not covering the cost of the new supplier purchase.
(5) A price cap on Russian natural gas. To accompany the increased import of Norwegian and U.S. gas. This sounds like a bizarro effort to manipulate the market which could backfire. If Russian gas is cheaper than EU market gas, the smart energy providers will purchase the Russian gas.
Not a single word about increasing the supply of any traditional energy resource. These ideologues are so committed to the cult of climate change and renewable energy, they are intent on destroying the economy in order to lower demand to the level of their windmills and solar farms. This is madness, absolute madness.
Here’s the presser:
.
We can drill and dut eregulations and TRUMP WILL.
We need sanity and MAGA now. Thank you Sundance
The abomination is whims governance making private energy investment unprofitable. This administration shot across the bow was cancelling Keystone. That act on Biden’s first day told investors stop whatever project you have because GOVERNMENT decides what energy providers will make a profit.
Are they actually going with flatten the curve as a message after the last 2 years?
Is it to rub people’ faces in it, or do they think it is a positive association?
Rote memorization by repetition? Propaganda value?
Left unsaid is the curve being flattened is total population numbers as in a logistic population model.
Clueless idiots.
She should borrow Mike Pence’s favorite phrase:
“a hole of government effort”
Back in the early days of the Coronavirus daily briefings, I thought he was saying “a whole of government effort” but eventually realized he must have been saying “a hole of government effort” meaning that it will be a big black hole of waste combined with intrigue.
“Whole of government”:
The DoD’s Endless War
The State Dept.’s Endless Coup
The NIH’s Endless Plandemics
The CIA’s Endless Color Revolutions, both Foreign & Domestick
The FBI’s Endless Police State
We’ve had enough “Whole of Government” to last a lifetime, Mike. Piss off, backstabber.
No, I actually think they want to flatten the earth.
Someday if we pull ourselves out of this mess, the climate nuts should be looked upon much in the same way as the Flat-Earthers.
Wait—the earth is spherical?
What next?! /s
lol. I always wondered why all the moons and other planets would be a sphere- but the earth would be flat…… I have a soft spot in my heart for flat earthers- very committed to a harmless theory.
Must be part of the same WEF sponsored neuro-linguistic programming scheme. Hey, if it worked the first time, why bother with a new phrase.
Let’s see, as you point out, produce more energy … nope, TPTB decide more control over the dwindling supply will save the day.
Goodness. They couldn’t solve the problem if they really wanted to do so.
Control. More of it. Always.
Social credit scores coming, but it will be energy usage score.
It’s already here. Do a search on “what is a company’s ESG” and you will see it is being pushed into companies everywhere.
I have always wondered what this world would look like with satan strolling through it, collecting souls.
I wonder no more.
Indeed!
And the evil beast is a nasty show-off
For now.
Mm hmm
The angel of the highest rank can find him that much easier.
By solar, candle, electric, oil, gas, wood or sun
– light
will overcome the darkness.

The good news is that Satan has unknowinly become the most powerful force in the conversion of people to Christianity. He has now shown himself too many times for people not to believe that he exists. Once people realized that he is indeed very much for real they also knew that God is also real. More people are turning to the truth of God than at any time. Can you imagine just how much that must piss off Satan?
I agree that satan is walking freely on earth. Foul, depraved, omnipresent. And yet, Devilbat, there are too many who still cannot see him and from whose mouths are pouring forth inexplicable filth in words and deeds.
Worse, if there worse there is, many of these people are in positions of authority, civilly and in churches across this world. It is beyond my understanding. His presence is everywhere and is so apparent to me and millions like me with eyes to see.
C.S. Lewis’ Screwtape Letters … nailed it.
An amazing man and writer whose works are as relevant today as ever they were. Yes.
The elite truly believe that the people they rule over will not rebel at being starved literally and figuratively.
People in Europe are not likely to make the elite pay , politically, for the elites’ betrayal and abuse.
How will the USA react to this betrayal?
December 25, 1989….
…depending on how many are killed this winter through the required boosters, starvation, and/or freezing.
The only question is how much will Europeans sacrifice of themselves before they realize they are the targets of malevolent godless cruel tyrants, who…as here…want to “decrease the surplus population” ( hat tip Scrooge, Bill Gates, and Yuval Noah Harari).
We are a revolutionary bunch. I’m hoping we all return to those roots. Very soon.
The last time they tried to flatten the curve they said 2 weeks and it ended up being 2 years.
Area Energy, an off shoot of Mobil and Shell Oil companies in California just sold to a German company. California will be harvesting petroleum products to send to Europe.
Sorry. Forgot the link: https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/exxon-shell-sell-california-oil-joint-venture-asset-manager-ikav-2022-09-01/
“Exxon Mobil Corp (XOM.N)and Shell Plc (SHEL.L) on Thursday confirmed the sale of their California oil joint-venture Aera to German asset manager IKAV for $4 billion, ending a 25-year-long partnership that was one of the state’s largest oil producers.”
Thankful we have a fireplace, we never really ever used it much but our house is all electric , used to think that was a bad thing until now but i think this winter is going to be different and electric is going to be really expensive.
so we have been busy down on our land in the black hills cleaning up the fallen tree’s in our woods and stacking wood to haul up here to our home a few hours away in ND.
I had a good size garden this year and harvesting lots, I’ve been buying up lots of meat sale items and stocking up on many other dry goods so much so i had to add 2 more freezers to the upright one i already had and turned the coat closet into a third pantry area because I also learned to can many many many things .. i’m actually getting sick of canning these days LOL but thankfully i had a grandma who grew up in the great depression and taught me so much growing up.
we have horses and dogs so we have also been busy putting up feed for them too, because just this week our dog food went up $9 a bag since the last time we bought a bag a few weeks ago. – it’s going to get much worse! 🙁
I have a lot of stacked fallen and cut wood on my suburban property. And a fireplace.
Used the fireplace once in a seven-day winter power outage – basically bundled up and lived/slept in front of it. It wasn’t comfortable, but I’m still here.
My house is heated by nat gas. We shall see what we shall see…
We survived a couple of blizzards in Colorado using our fireplace, melted snow for toilets, and cooked on gas range burners. We lit candles at dusk and played games as a family.
We have a very similar setup now, and we’re much better prepared. Totally doable again if/when necessary.
Please check your fireplace to be sure the chimney won’t set your house on fire. i once lived in a house where the flue was just stacked without sealing. Hot gas escaping could easily set the joists and rafters on fire. I put a liner in the chimney.
This is our first winter in our new electric only home with a wood fireplace. Do most chimneys have liners? What are they made of? Sorry for the stupid questions but we have never had a wood burning fireplace.
Find a chimney sweep or a highly recommended (honest) mason. They should be able to tell you if your new chimney is safe. Another idea is looking up the building inspector who signed off on the house or perhaps the fire dept. in your area can help determine if your chimney is safe. G_d bless you!
Have your chimney swept.
Wait until they make wood stoves illegal. Too much c02 output you know!!
The public must understand that the energy/food crisis is a self-inflicted wound, the result of bad choices by our leaders, not some unavoidable necessity as the climate ideologues would like us to believe. It may take a couple of cold winters for this to happen.
‘With the massive 2022 exports of LNG to Europe (+17% in fourth quarter alone), that means lower domestic supplies and increased prices here in the United States for electricity and home heating.’ – Sundance
Yes. Consider this Reuters headline from August 23: “U.S. natgas falls 5% on delay of Freeport LNG plant restart.”
Freeport LNG is a major export terminal in Texas. While it’s down for repairs, US domestic natural gas supply is increased and the price falls.
“Biden” could restrict or ban LNG exports entirely (some apparently went to China) and reduce pressure on Americans. But acting on behalf of “America First” is simply alien to this crusty old fixer, who’s already made millions off his and Hunter’s bungles in the Ukraine.
Lock him up!
This will not end well.
They carefully skirt round the fact that the only way they can fudge the figures to show that the EU is doing so well with moving away from Russian gas is by ignoring the drop in volume, primarily due to the large users, steel, petro chemicals, fertiliser, aluminium etc shuttering their plants.
Of course they can do without Russian gas and oil, if they shut European industry. They don’t seem to care about the coming explosion in unemployment.
The US/NATO/EU have boxed themselves into a corner. IMHO there is only one way out, Germany/Russia do a deal and open the NS2 pipeline, this would crash the price of gas, save Europe from a catastrophe and slash Russia’s gas revenue.
Its going to make the 20s depression look tame.
Perhaps ending badly is what is needed.
For TPTB, yes
Why is Biden doing this to us?
Live, Freeze and Die
Freezing to Death is not the worst of evil’s … unless you are the one freezing to death … while eating bugs … after your 6th fraud-shot …
His recent speech made it pretty clear.
He doesn’t like us. Not at all.
He thinks we are the enemy.
Or he fears us & believes he must destroy us.
Maybe he reads orders off the teleptompter, aigns what;s
put in front of him, and takes cut for “The Big Guy ?” Asking
for 90 million friends !
Obama. Bidens brain died already. The rest of him will follow soon.
Obama is a puppet.
Globally yes but in the US his team is in charge
He is a communist pawn. The West’s approach to the Ukraine issue has been that Russia and China get everything they want and at the same time destroy the West without fighting them. Just wait until China decides to take Taiwan- Biden has his orders so we’ll do nothing worth noticing.
Following the WEF/Globalist plan.
Biden doesn’t know what day it is. The unelected cabinet is calling the shots.
He’s a puppet of Queen Hussein and Xi. He has his marching orders and his handlers are happy to obey orders. That’s because none of the elites will be affected. Just We The Deplorables.
“Why is Biden doing this to us?” – it’s the great re-set.
Can’t have a re-set until the food, fuel, money, military equipment are fully depleted – all designed to get the mob to scream for their savior the government bureaucrats to step in and save them. That millions will die of malnutrition, winter freezing, wars and civil riots is a plus to these monsters.
Purposeful destruction aka evil. This is going on all over the world, totalitarians everywhere are rejoicing as their plan appears to be on track which is why I will consider that if we actually have a 2024 election will be a miracle in itself.
These freaks are all in, and am pretty sure they upped the time table because freedom has a leader – PDJT that even the people in other nations are looking at for ideas.
You mean “Obama”?
I believe who ever steps out and seems to have all the answers will be antichrist. Read your Bible. Especially Revelation. If you have not repented and sought Jesus to forgive your sin, now would be a great time. We must stand as the very first Christians did. Never forget G_D our Holy Father loves you. It’s time now!
If FJB wasn’t working for Putin and CCP, what would he and EU be doing ditterently.
Miss Trump yet, “free world”??
2 yrs ago we were on road to myually beneficial zPeace and Prosperity.
Trump Won, CCP DNC stole it, and everyubody nkows it including
US Fan Belt inspectors….
Nope. None of this happens without total ‘Stablishment RepubliCon compliance, assistance and approval.
Meanwhile in the US good luck finding a wood stove or bulk firewood. Watching in my area and sourcing is terrible for both.
Plenty of stoves on Amazon……as for wood, it’s a local issue. We had a storm come thru in April and I have about 4 cords I gotta split……..price for a cord delivered is 140, 125 for pickup.
You’re rich!
The wood is for me and my parents, not selling it. I was just stating the going rate.
Which is great, for us rurals in flyover,…I suspect fines and arrests for any city dwellers burning wood for heat?
Think it depends on your state…..I know in California they supposedly outlawed wood burning fireplace(my brother lives there). in Texas, my friends that live in the big cities still burn wood.
Some people won’t fund our evil overlords or purchase Chinese knockoffs. Cousins of mine are on a four month waitlist for an American made burner.
Similarly seasoned wood is hard to find.
There’s always a market if you’re willing to find lower quality stuff.
Totally understand, I’m not a huge boycott guy but I get it. I’m in East Texas……lots of oak and we have a lot of motivated youth that run around offering to cut up fallen trees on peoples yards. They split it all and sell it on the side of the road. After the storm in April, I helped neighbors chop up a bunch of their fallen trees (I have 14 in my yard, but luckily they all made it). Seasoned one summer and it burns well.
Don’t know where in “east” Texas you are, but good on you for being in God’s country (even with all the hurricanes). Glad to see community at work too.
We back into private forest and have my pick of wood, but with our humidity this summer seasoning is rough. Have off grid heat but am seeing how bad the chain is here as members of my family rush to catch up. Rough times are coming for a lot of people who took too long to wake up.
The freeze here a couple years ago caught a lot of people off guard(myself included), but we shared our stories. One of them made sense………If you have a fireplace, start a fire(duh), but this couple had an old camping tent. They set it up in their living room and with temps around zero, their living room was in the 30’s, but the tent was 70.
We have two what you might call “feed and grain stores” here in our area that are selling both wood burning and pellet stoves and have plenty in stock so far.
Over thirty years ago we bought a ranch that had about twenty acres of good evergreen trees on it which I didn’t appreciate at the time but now am so glad they are there.
My husband tells me there are decades of fuel in those trees if we care for them.
I just always thought they were pretty and nice for picnics and never thought about needing to use them so much to keep warm since we had plenty of gas all of this time.
It is amazing what we take for granted.
Was always told not to burn pine as it would mess up your fireplace…..just use hard woods.
Burn pretty much nothing but pine all winter long here in the frozen tundra of northern Minnesota.
Clean the chimney a couple times each year to keep chimney fires from starting, otherwise we are nice and toasty.
You know, that was the reason. I couldn’t remember, but I think the sap in the pine collects in your chimney, so you have get it cleaned more often. Burning hardwoods, you can go a few years without cleaning. Thanks for reminding me why someone (I think it was my uncle) that told me that.
Oh yeah, just asked my dad about this……My uncle Dennis had a chimney fire…….sounded like a freight train……he shoved a garden hose down the chimney……turned it on and his chimney exploded.
Seasoned hardwood burns longer and cleaner than pine.
WOW! Thats cheap! $220 to $250 in the Northeast. Thats delivered.
We had a huge, 60′ tall, elm tree cut down this spring (traded the cutting of it down for an old rack trailer we would never use again) and have continually offered the wood for free since then. Not a single taker. I even learned how to use a saw and cut it up into smaller pieces to make it easier for someone to load, haul off and then split it on their own. Still no takers. Guess that might change with the first snowfall and arrival of peoples first winter energy bill. Will charge for it then.
Lucky me! My daughter just purchased a home in an unincorporated area
(they have no fire hydrants and an all volunteer fireman squad)
which is on 4 acres, 3 of which is dense woodlands. I guess I will have to
purchase a chain saw! LOL
The useful idiots are fixing to find out their usefulness is about to end.
Energy is the master resource, without it, almost nothing happens.
As typical of all illegitimate governments, every policy above will make the situation much worse.
People need to make sure the elites feel the same pain. Their homes and other properties should be handed over to house the poor. Their personal belongings should be sold or redistributed. If the food runs out, they should be denied rations, etc.
There are two 10,000+ sq ft homes around the corner from me, and no one has ever occupied the properties in over four years but the Hispanic landscape crews. Great residence for the homeless, absolutely.
Or just dismantle them, for firewood, or better yet, just bar the doors with them inside, set the structures on fire, and then warm our hands,…
that is their property, not yours or the governments
to direct as to usage
This gives a whole nother meaning to redistribution.
Talk about killing some birds with a stone!
“The goal is clear. We must cut the revenues of Russia that Putin uses to finance this atrocious war against Ukraine. And now our work is paying off. At the start of the war, gas from Russian pipelines accounted for 40% of all imported gas. Today it has dropped to only 9% of our gas imports.”
Except that is not what is happening.
European has cut itself off from direct Russia gas imports, that much is true. However, Russia has shifted those sales to India and PRC, who are reselling some of it to the EU… at a much higher markup. The EU is now paying much more for much less of the same gas while Russia, India, and the PRC laugh at the dupes in Europe.
Secondly, there is almost no chance a price cap will have the stated effect because the PRC and India have no interest in complying and the West appears to have no leverage to make them do so.
Thirdly, reduced economic activity in the PRC has been depressing the cost of global energy resources (yes, it could actually be worse than it is right now. If and when economic activity begins to pick up again in mainland China, there will be further upward pressure on global energy demands.
Exactly!
So I didn’t understand why China, of all places, is worried about a covid death here or there. A nation that murdered over 50 million of its own people, plus has concentration camps murdering still more even now. The CCP is altogether evil. Unfortunately, the USA, run by the uniparty isn’t too far behind them.
From 2001 to Today China progressively became the factory of the modern world, which is currently on the ropes for reasons we know all too well. Consumption of durable goods is down, but consumables are still high given the population. China has always been dependent upon the importation of consumables given its large population. They paid for it via durable goods.
Thus logic dictates that they shut down their factories producing durable goods in order to preserve energy and currency to purchase consumables. It’s so obvious in hindsight, but hindsight is always obvious by definition.
Thus periodically shutting down this production makes sense in this context.
China will shut down factories, let its people freeze, and starve them
if it needs to.
But, that’s communism for ya.
I expect more from the West, but it doesn’t look like we will get it.
Bet the dupes in the EU are getting their 10% kickback from the PRC and India.
It’s all very clear.
scarcity = dependency = control, as explained below:
https://2ndsmartestguyintheworld.substack.com/p/world-economic-forums-entire-plan
Sorry, it’s hard to control a population that is freezing and starving.
An illegitimate government can’t generate dependency from scarcity. Rather they use whatever surplus they have stolen to feed the jackboots protecting them. With all the real workers now huddled in their homes protecting their families even this surplus goes way.
The net result is you eventually generate revolution where the population desires, for example, Nancy’s ice cream more than they fear the bullet from the last jackboot standing. At 400 yds even they won’t know who sent them to Hell.
It was the same experience for the Red Coats in 1775, who ‘failed’ at taking Concord. They foolishly thought we would just stand in line and be shot at, like their soldier slaves in Europe.
Sorry, that is not how we fight in America. Do the math if every armed man takes out just ‘one’ jackboot this is over in short order. If you find yourself in a fair fight your strategy sucks.
Try the no food for three days and you may understand that of which I speak. When even eating rats seems like a good idea you will know. BTW ice cream tastes better than rats. I can only imagine what designer ice cream tastes like, but I’m sure it’s very good.
So true about how hard it is to control a starving, freezing population spaul.
King Louis XVI learned that himself the hard way when the starving, sick, homeless citizens of Paris finally had enough and stormed the Bastille in 1789, starting the French revolution.
They stormed the Bastille where the government soldiers had their head quarters and where the weapons were kept.
And with a lot of help with the Kings soldiers took the weapons headed for the Palace and other government buildings and the rest is history.
All true, jackboots have good weapons and gear, but never forget to stock up on food supplies.
It’s hard to fight on an empty stomach and with a mind worried about your family.
Plus even once the parasitic demons are removed it will take time to restore security, the free market and thus production.
Victory has always been given to not the strongest but to those that didn’t give up.
Her very first statement is incorrect. It is propaganda that they want you to believe. Propaganda that the high costs are Russia’s fault and not their own fault for the sanctions they have imposed following the US lead, the turbines they are withholding, the Nordstream 2 pipeline they have closed.
Now the US is showing a big jump in exports, probably due to the natural gas that we are shipping to Europe. Don’t these people see that their actions are pumping up the US economy to the destruction of their own. Don’t the ordinary people in Europe see what their own governments are doing to them?
The WEF globalists are rubbing their hands in glee.
How about the whopper, that this is all to “hurt Russia, for you know, defending itself against incursions of Nazis with bioweopon labs on its border?
Russia is burning natural gas, cause it has no place to put it, ruble is at a 7 year high against eoro or dollar.
So, I don’t approve if the goal, but its HER and their STATED Goal, and they are doing just the opposite!
And NO aknowledgement of reality, at all.
So Uniper (Germany’s largest Gas company) has now run up €12 billion loss in July, burnt through a €7 billion bailout in 3 months since the loss and is going back to the German govt for more bailouts of up to €20 billion.
Has the European Commission been appointed the new European absolute monarchs when no one was looking?
Despite holding a presidential office, von dey leyen is unelected.
Your point about Uniper running at a 12B loss raising the question of what a price cap on “traditional fossil fuel energy suppliers” is supposed to accomplish beyond collectivizing the industry and redistributing its financial assets among “renewable energy suppliers” (Plan Point #2) in order to boost the latter at the expense of the former.
Trump offered to sell Angela Merkel LNG and she refused saying they would buy from Russia instead.
How’s that working out.
This was not planned overnight.
I’m starting to get REALLY pi**ed off.
Every day is an insult. Every day threatens our lives and and our jobs. I wouldn’t be surprised if people are offing themselves because they can’t take it any more.
You’re quite late.
Oh, I think you failed to get my meaning. When I get to this level bad things happen to bad people…
People in Switzerland who violate the country’s new heating rules which forbid setting the temperature above 19°C (66.2F) in the colder months will face up to three years in prison.
Yes, really.
Under the new rules, buildings that use gas heating systems are restricted to 19°C, while hot water can only be heated up to 60°C and radiant heaters are banned entirely.
It will also be forbidden to heat swimming polls and saunas.
Depending on the severity of the violation and the individual’s economic situation, fines will range from 30 to 3,000 Swiss francs ($30 to $3,050), while people could also be imprisoned
https://summit.news/2022/09/07/swiss-face-up-to-3-years-in-prison-for-violating-heating-rules/
No mention though of fining/forbidding/jailing the elites for sucking up astronomical amounts of fuel powering their private jets and super yachts as they travel wherever/whenever they choose/s.
And no doubt the elites’ swimming pools and saunas will be generously heated to the temperature desired.
Exactly, I wonder if CA Gov. Pomade is conserving at his sprawling estate in Sacramento, or if he’s endured a rolling brownout or power outage.
If I lived there I’d get one of those fancy thermometers that can read temp from a distance, then out the “leaders” for violating the regulations, because you know they will.
Will Swiss prisons be heated?
Three squares and a few dependable BTUs may come in handy…but maybe I’m proceeding on false assumptions…
Sounds like the upcoming headlines in Switzerland will be a rash of mysteriously broken smart meters. If the govt can’t tell what the thermostats are set to pretty hard to charge someone with that crime. Right?
Utterly disgusting! If Biden does this he should be impeached!
The only benefit to no energy, is the computer systems that power the brain washing and digital currencies will fail!
This is not just about heat…The lack of energy will swamp the entire economy and there will be increased food shortages and astronomical prices for anything aquired through energy…which is just about everything…Madness indeed…utter stupidity, arrogance and madness.
It seems likely that they keep talking about heat to ensure people don’t start thinking about the fact that the entire fecking economy and all goods and food essentially rely on this energy.
Heating is going to be one of the smaller worries.
Where is Ragnar Danneskjöld?
On a country road waiting with a bar of gold.
The only problem is that in our world there is no Hank Reardon to give it to.
So its essentially direct EU admin control of all energy use and energy import n the 27 member states at a micro level?
Except for Hungary which has refused to sanction Russian gas. In fact, they have just bought another large quantity to make sure that the people of Hungary have enough gas through the winter.
Every other country in Europe could do the same. So, there is no question that this is a manipulated crisis.
Yup!
The cult of climate change. I agree.
They made their bed-let them lay in it.
I didn’t make this bed I’m in….
Part of my “prepping” equipment are jumbo bags of charcoal, matches, iron skillets and cast iron b-b-q grill. Worst case scenario, I keep a charcoal fire going and my iron cookware blazing hot.
Don’t do charcoal fires inside without proper ventilation, the carbon monoxide could build up get you.
I’ve already stacked hot water bottles, and got two damn good quality, and expensive, sleeping bags!
So shut off the power for just a few days in the winter.
You will find the holes in any plan in short order.
Take notes, and repeat.
I’m an engineer and I was amazed at how many things I took for granted.
Simple things but so important.
It’s getting close to Lamp Post Ornament season.
Old Joe Benito Bidet and his gang of flunkies are a bunch of turds. Here we are sitting on top of some of the largest oil and gas reserves on planet earth and they will not allow us to tap them.
No new pipelines, you gotta keep Warren Buffets railroad oil tank cars running. They say Buffet donated a million + $$$$$ to the DNC and Old Joes campaign slush funds.
Just like Nestle pumping billions of gallons of our ground water in every state and pocketing the mega billions our communist government will now sell off another American resource
“These are tough times (that we brought on ourself, thru stupidity)
But, I am confident Eoropeans can screw Americans out of their economic strength (just as we HAVE done, for 30-40 years) and take advantage of their lack of political will (Damn that Trump and his supporters!) and Gosh I hope we can maintain unity, as we screw our own people, with their pants on!”
What she would have said, if she were capable of honesty, which of coarse she is not.
“Poor planning on your part doesn’t constitute an emergency on my part”
That was one of Pop’s favorites.
(6) Mandatory imprisonment of any EU citizen referring to this program as Communism
brilliant
Not only will that dump a lot of pollution into the air, the desperate people will chop down trees, the very things we were trying to plant more of, right? (smh)
Tough love is the act of allowing a loved one to freely experience the consequences of their bad decision(s) in hopes that they learn a lesson and abandon their poor choices–and judgement.
Were I the beloved and benign generalissimo of the US, I would hike the price of LNG to stratospheric levels. I would not cut the Europeans off as Putin has, but, well, let’s just say I would allow market considerations to temper their climate insanity.
Their death will not temper the climate insanity. The NPCs cannot learn from the real world.
Meanwhile they will be dragging the rest of us with them.
Maybe we could finally zero out that 500+ billion a year trade deficit with the EU.
Probably never going to happen with the current looters in office though. Could expect more deficit spending in the US to save the EU, same as Ukraine. 🙄
Without a US trade deficit the global currency sytem shuts down.
Most dollars are held in a debt instrument.
Thus the interest on that debt doesn’t exist unless we create it via a trade deficit.
When do we start sending the money-changers to the gallows for ripping us all off for untold trillions?
So the bible says only gold and silver is money.
Sound money, that.
Cannot counterfeit it by making more of it.
I hope they’re reporting this on the mainstream news channels so my dummy Dem family members can see it.
I’m glad I like a cold house in the winter …
I hate being cold.
My mom, who survived WWII in Europe, often remarked that Americans did not wear enough underwear: long johns, wool socks, undershirts, and neck scarves to keep from shivering in the winter.
Jimmah Carter got into trouble for recommending long johns during a different round of craziness in the 1970s. But never mind all that, make sure you and your kids have warm clothing. We are highly likely to need it!
Forty CEO’s of metal production plants wrote Ursula Von der Leyen warning her of the existential threat to industry due the high cost of energy. I also see that 14 European steel plants have either shut down completely or reduced production due to energy costs.
The whole European economy seems to be imploding.
But Austin is going to Germany to announce another “package” for Ukraine. This is insanity.
Yes, in my work suppliers in Europe are warning us that scheduled deliveries may not happen.
What we can not lose sight of is that God has blessed America with massive reserves of oil, natural gas and shale oil and billions of tons of coal still left in the ground ready to be developed and produced. Those fossil fuels are sufficient to supply energy to the American economy for the next hundred years! We’re literally sitting on our largest sources of reliable, clean energy!! Electricity isn’t an energy source! Climate change wackos believe these are finite resources but are they really? Some one prove when the earth stop producing oil, gas and coal and when did that happen? How did that happen? Has the earth’s inner pressure that created them somehow got dissipated to stop producing such fossil fuels? Just wondering? Drill baby, drill! Mine baby mine!
Pretty sure the CCP has already earmarked those for their own use. Same as with all those mineral deposits including coal, iron ore, bauxite and uranium in Australia.
The Brits seem to be stirring to life:
Disclose.tv
JUST IN – UK govt to scrap fracking ban tomorrow.
The moratorium on fracking, in place since 2019, will be scrapped on Thursday, giving the green light for companies to seek planning permission to drill for shale gas in the UK, the Telegraph reports.
@disclosetv
I’m skeptical.
For one thing, Truss is a political weather vane and this could be throwing some red meat to the masses.
Secondly, my very limited understanding about the politics of UK fracking includes the fact there is significant opposition to the process for both environmental and cultural reasons: many people are concerned about the potential damage to the English countryside, for which British people have a unique sentimentality and consider an important part of their cultural heritage.
Then again with energy prices projected to increase over 80% by New Years and then increase again shortly after, perhaps the political opposition to fracking can be overcome.
Regardless it seems like a long-term plan that is necessary to begin but unlikely to offer little help in the short term.

They’re going to price cap and bailout. How can this go wrong?
A green light to seek permission to frack isn’t quite the same as a green light to get fracking. Seems to me that the Brit leaders will get their jollies by saying NO! If the leaders do approve any requests, it’ll likely be because they fear being beaten or lynched by angry mobs. Let’s see how this plays out.
20+ Quid a Pint was a bridge too far!
First the 5-Point Plan . . . then the 5-Year Plan?
“First the molasses, then the sulfur.”“First the sulfur, then the sulfur.” (current day thought/planning process or lack thereof)

Going to be hard to keep the internet going with no power…
It’s like the Marshall Plan never ends. Americans subsidizing the vassal states we never asked for.
Going to be hard to keep the internet going with no power…
This is why I don’t “get” crypto currency. It’s like these people can’t fathom the possibility of us going backwards.
Who died and made this unelected nincompoop Queen of Western Europe?
There won’t be enough lamp posts when this all shakes out.
Job One once all those steel and aluminum plants come back online.
My husband retired as an automation specialist from a major oil company. His father was a mechanic in WWII and worked in a similar capacity for Getty Oil. My father was an accountant at Standard Oil. I grew up on an oil lease. I accidentally know more about energy production and petroleum than most people.
Our current energy policy is insane. There is no safer, cleaner, efficient way to power our lives than fossil fuel.
Another elitist, power-hungry, pant-suited, soulless tyrant.
“Suck it up, Buttercup … Russia Wins.”
or not.
von der Leyen sounds like she’s bragging about cutting Russian gas imports. Like she planned it… Oh, wait…
Why do they think not buying Russian energy hurts Russia?
There is a global energy crisis going on out there. Russia is easily selling to other countries. Hells bells, I bet Biden begs for Russian oil and gas before this is over.
If they don’t like Russia’s Ukraine war….
Why did they instigate it?
Why did they block a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine to end it?
So they could do this to the energy supply,
It not a coincidence they suspended NS2 certification in November 2021.
“Consider that 43% of U.S. households use LNG for home heating”
.
Uh…no. 43% use natural gas in its gaseous form, and not in a liquified form.
.
That said…consumption is consumption, and demand is demand. Your article is spot on…especially the observation that none of these idiots are talking about how to increase SUPPLY.
Well in PNW we have more wood than we know what to do with.
Most of it decomposes on the forest floor, making soil and then coal after that if no oxygen gets to it.
Rate increases were the top headline on my local Florida Newspaper this morning. As I understand it, the Tampa electric authority plans on using 84% natgas by 2023. I also understand all the electric companies are asking for the ability to charge monthly rate increases to “keep pace with the market”..
Seriously get solar panels now. I currently have no electrical bill.
Oh sure. Only $30k. No thanks.
They quoted me $30k to install. I’m not that flush with flushable cash.
Finance it. I got 4% for 20 year money. My payments even now after the 30% tax refund is less then my current electricity bill.
It’s a no brainer.
Can you add them to your homeowners umbrella or do you insure them separately? What happens when a hurricane hits?
Then in 7 or 8 years you get to do it all over again cause that’s about the life of the ChiCom panels, and you will still owe on your first set. That is not including changing out the battery banks that go bad.
One other thing, that 30% tax refund is subsidized by the rest of us
Had Duke energy at my door last week trying to sell me on this. My house faces east-west with large trees east and south. I’d need double the panels of a south facing house to run the major appliances. Plus the battery bank, because grid tie is idiotic, the electrician, and the inverter set up. That battery bank has to be replaced regularly, and lead and/or lithium isn’t getting cheaper. On top of that, the county has strict regulations on roof mounted solar panel setups.
and their populations are all for it! Idealogy will kill society. Is anyone strong enough to kill this craziness. Only Climate Change people are in charge? HOw is this possible? No one left to fight!!!!
That these insane people can create such havoc, without facing scrutiny from the media, is the problem.
Russian controlled natural gas has dropped to 9% because they cut off the damn pipelines, not because of any efficiency or forward planning on the part of the EU. Now there will be higher prices all round, especially for the EU. Stupidity in world leaders seems to be the order of the day in the western world.
Let the Europeans bottle and burn their own flatulence…after they tax it, of course.
I think it is commitment to destroying the majority of families… they know climate change is a fraud, just like COVID and The Jab.
