The next Democrat and Lincoln Project presidential candidate for ¹2024, Joe Manchin, questions Defense Intel Agency (DIA) Director Lt. Gen. Scott Berrier and Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Avril Haines about whether Ukraine can actually win the current war with Russia. It’s an interesting exchange because none of the DeceptiCon senators will usually approach the issue.
Lt General Scott Berrier (DIA) says [00:56], “that is a difficult predication to make. I think where the [DIA assessment] is at is a prolonged stalemate should no factor change on either side. In other words, the Russians continue to do what they’re doing, and we continue to do what we are doing for the Ukranians.” Read that emphasis carefully.
What Berrier is saying is affirming we are in a direct proxy war. So long as the United States remains the essential fighting force behind the Ukrainian military, they can achieve a stalemate. However, if the United States withdraws support, Russia will win. DIA Berrier is saying directly the U.S. can only achieve a stalemate in Ukraine. WATCH:

Manchin was not being misogynistic in not asking Haines that question. Remember, the ODNI is only supposed to be faced internally into the United States security and intelligence operations. ODNI Avril Haines is a political operative from the Obama administration, specifically implanted into the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, because that specific element of the intelligence apparatus only looks inward into the U.S. citizenry for threats against government.
Please emphasize this point when needed. The ODNI does not evaluate national security issues abroad. The Patriot Act created the ODNI to set up a threat radar that only looks internally. We The People are the threat the office of the ODNI was created to evaluate. Emphasize that as needed.

We’re at around $80B in Ukraine so far, which is about how much we left in Afghanistan.

When politicians who propose and vote for more money to Ukraine make surprise visits, sounds like they are arranging for their ‘cut’ of the $80bn. How it is that people do not see this, or if they do, why they aren’t mentioning it escapes me.
Of course we use this as an opportunity to evaluate Russian military, test some of our armament, and very importantly challenge their C&C to see what happens. But to state so, out loud, isn’t very clever.
The Left is rarely clever any more. They are past clever and on to brute force. Not good.
They did all that before they voted on the 40B. Conclusion was that Russian C&C is too inflexible and doesn’t adapt well to changing circumstances. One of the reasons so many Generals were either killed or relieved is because they had to get directly involved when subordinates couldn’t adjust. If you look you’ll find plenty of analysis on this.
The 40B is pure graft, and a large amount will end up in the pockets of both D and R leadership, and lesser amounts to those who voted for it. All in the form of perfectly legal “campaign contributions.”
Most of the $40 billion will go to repay Soros for staging the war…
The Russian command structure has always been inflexible, even when I was serving in the 70’s. It’s because they don’t allow free-thinking in their lower structures – iron grip on everything at the top ranks.
You have to remember the Russians have not been in a war since Afghanistan so there is a learning curve. On the other hand, we have been at war for the last 30+ years, yet all we know how to do is lose them along with trillions of dollars as our country is held together with bailing wire and duct tape.
Despite what the Ministry of Truth says, the occupant regime is failing miserably in Ukraine. Testing the Russians? The Ruskies are methodically taking everything they want to take and blowing up or taking all the arms going into Ukraine. For American taxpayers, Ukraine is just a giant endless sinkhole of our tax dollars.
You would think after the midterms, Obama/ Biden would be a lame duck. But with McConnell and establishment Republicans, wild uncontrolled spending requiring the Fed to print money will likely continue. By the time 2024 roles around, I’m not sure who would really want to be president – the country will have been wrecked and those responsible gone.

It wouldn’t have made any difference – the politicians were bound and determined to get that money spent before Ukraine tanked. They were DESPERATE to get that money spent…the end must be closer than we think.

He may peel some of “Trump Democrats” from Trump, but he will not have enough support to win in a FAIR election.
The Ukraine war will end sooner rather than later–in the last week or so many commanders and units have defected or surrendered. They are starting to understand that the puppet does not know anything about war and that the controllers from the West don’t care about their lives, not even letting them retreat to maneuver around the Russians (being asked to stay and die in place–evil way to cause more deaths). I will also bet that the neighborhoods in Ukraine will turn against those running the conscription (some suggestion this is already happening; even women are protesting on behalf of their husbands as they know the men are being used as “martyrs”). So they will run out of “fighters” (victims rather) and the puppeteers will not be able to back-fill the war with mercenaries–not that many stupid people around. So they will run out of manpower, and that will be it. All they will be able to try to do is to turn east Ukraine into a terrorized state with Azov and other groups blowing things up from time to time, or carry on more assassinations, as nasty as that is. But we’ll see soon enough.
All conflicts since WW 2 have been “limited engagement” conflicts, which means that political considerations outweighed military considerations. In Korea, McArthur was fired because of a dispute over this with Truman. Viet Nam could have been decisively won by 1967 if we went all in, but the democrat/communist protests spooked Johnson and then Nixon. The Desert Storm military planners were ready to go all the way to Baghdad, but Bush 1 decided against it (probably a good decision).
The post-9/11 Iraq war was probably the most idiotic war in American history, because Iraq had zero involvement in 9/11, and it ended up destabilizing the entire Middle East, not to mention the loss of life and treasury. The Afghanistan war made sense, because that was the base for 9/11, but again there was never any real achievable objective, save for revenge. You can debate the relative merits of the causes we got involved in these wars, which are different questions, but no. The surrender on the Missouri in Tokyo Bay was the last one.

I have expected Manchin to be the candidate for some time now, who else have they got? If he continues to act like a more traditional Democrat he should be a shoo-in candidate.
