There comes a time when ideology runs headfirst into the monolith of unwavering reality. Today, during a press briefing as a part of the IMF World Bank Meetings [TRANSCRIPT HERE], Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen was forced to admit the sanctions against Russia have hurt the EU more than Vladimir Putin and the Russian economy.
Secretary Yellen was asked about the need for increased western government bans against Russian exports.
Yellen was faced with the discomfort of admitting the global market is still open to receiving Russian products, specifically oil and gas, and that banning the EU from receiving those products only drives the EU prices higher, which has already led to unsustainable inflation.
Key Segment:
…”Europe clearly needs to reduce its dependence on Russia with respect to energy. But we need to be careful when we think about a complete European ban on say oil imports. We want to harm Russia – that would clearly raise global oil prices would have a damaging impact on Europe and other parts of the world. And counterintuitively it could actually have very little negative impact on Russia because although Russia might export less, its price for its exports would go up.”
The EU is already experiencing massive energy price increases. Yesterday, Germany announced manufacturing price increases of more than 30% following increased energy costs exceeding 80%. The current western government sanctions against Russia are hitting the EU economy harder than they are hurting Russia as alternative customers (India, China) for Russian energy exports are still purchasing.
In essence, the EU has partly removed themselves as a customer, but the seller, Russia, is still selling; only now they are getting higher prices because the EU and U.S. are disrupting oil and energy production in an effort to chase their climate change goals.
Putin’s Ukraine timing, to coincide with the progressive west trying to limit oil/gas development, was perfect. The citizens of the nations, who are participating in the sanctions against Russia, are seeing higher energy inflation. Ultimately this is going to lead to massive food inflation and overlay the increased costs of farming production via fertilizer, and, well, support for more sanctions against Russia only makes things worse.
WASHINGTON – […] “Despite wide-ranging sanctions on the Russian government financial sector and the mass exodus of dozens of businesses, Russia has been able to limit the economic damage thanks to a steady stream of oil and gas revenue. But the U.S. has resisted pushing Europe to ban Russian energy imports despite growing pressure from lawmakers in both parties and the pleas of Ukrainian government officials.
“Proceeds from sales of oil and gas are an important source of income for Russia. It would be very useful to try to devise a way to reduce Russia’s proceeds from those sales,” Yellen said.
“That really is the proper objective of a ban. But if we could figure out a way to do that without harming the entire globe through higher energy prices, that would be ideal. And that’s a matter that we’re all trying to think through together,” she continued. (read more)
I hope they starve and burn down the EU headquarters in retribution. Serves them right for starting wars they are too chicken s*** to fight themselves.
Unfortunately, the hoi pollio must endure the results of their failure to hold their leaders accountable. Until then the people in Brussels will not suffer in any way.
Europe sanctioned themselves. The US is an accomplice and the dumb sidekick.
Yes, it is very clear that the U.S. and E.U have caused most all of the problems.
Would have been nice if the NATO folks had listened to DJT’s warning about getting in bed with Russia for their energy.
Amazingly the dumb sow doesn’t mention the obvious. That being lifting the ridiculous ban on US energy production. What an ignorant pig
Of course, the danger of relying on Russia for energy was that they would be relying on energy from a country the US Deep State was determined to demonize and goad into war. The reality, on the other hand, is that there are only so many nations that export large quantities of oil and natural gas, that Russia is one of those nations, and that Russia is the only nation that is practically capable of meeting fossil fuel demand for a large portion of the European continent.
Nations like Germany could reduce their overall fossil fuel demand by expanding their reliance on nuclear power. Hilariously, they’ve been doing exactly the opposite and spending hundreds of billions of Euros deploying renewables in the ideologically informed and completely wrong belief that renewables are capable of meeting the electricity demand of a major industrialized nation. One day, it may dawn on them that renewables displace very little fossil fuel demand but they do lock in future fossil fuel demand for load balancing.
Won’t matter for Germany. They, as well as majority of the EU, will be Muslim within the next 15 years and European civilization will go back to being a tribal composite of backward wastelands with their WEF/Davos overlords in command. Europe has not been a true US ally since the end of WWII. They’ve been just like our DC parasites, sucking us dry financially while stabbing us in the back at every turn. It is 2022 not 1945. We need to say good riddance Europe you are on your own, aka get out of their way as they commit seppuku.
Indeed!
It has so little to do with Russia and so much more to do with trying to dictate an unreasonable argument to suit our needs
Amazing! The Green New Hell ideology is funding the war machine that causes the Junta to pour Billion$ in cash into the Puke-rain ATM, and the “unforseen” consequences weaken the food supply. I thought I read the other day the EU was going all in on a Russian oil embargo driving the price per barrel back over $185?? How will anything function?
Perfect ending question. Which agenda wins if oil and gas infrastructure fails to function? Rhetorical question.
Going ‘ green ‘ will show those dirty Russkies.
Turn down your heat, take cold showers and eat bugs ……. that’ll show ’em !
People are the “carbon ” they seek to reduce.
Don’t forget to drive 55!
… on your wind-assisted bicycle.
Its like the Monte Python black knight stick, only worse; US/EU is cutting off its OWN right arm, and saying “Take THAT, you bugger,..oh yeah? Well, take THIS!” and cutting off its own left leg.
Like the knight, it soon won’t have a leg to stand on, or an arm to swing a sword, and will be left trying to bite its opponents foot.
And, pretell what is the consequence, for all the Warmongers of the Uniparty, as yet ANOTHER false narrative collapses, and Putin prevails?
Blame the loss on Tucker and Tulsi?
“Merely a flesh wound”…
Except immigrants.!?$!!!
The stupidity of our government is mind numbing.
I know. They can’t even consider just drilling more here. If you cut Russian supply you have to offset it from somewhere.
“That really is the proper objective of a ban. But if we could figure out a way to do that without harming the entire globe through higher energy prices, that would be ideal. And that’s a matter that we’re all trying to think through together,” she continued.
Drilling in the US causes climate change, drilling elsewhere in the world seems to be ok…..
Its called “Unintended consequences”.
And if we’d just start drilling again like any other nation in the entirety of human would be doing uner these circumstances, wed be reaping the benefit of these higher oil prices, even as we lower the price
Moreover, if these food shortages cause unrest in the Middle East that would roil the Mideast oil markets even further. Good thing were helping Iran get the bomb. All out war between Iran and Israel is just the icing on the cake .. for $500 a barrel of oil, that is
Stupidity or evil?
Only the stooges placed out in front of the camera and mic are stupid. Behind them all is some of the most evil agenda-driven madness on this earth.
No, it is Stupidity, combinedwith Insanity.
Yes, doing samething over and over, expecting different results is ONE definition, but there is a more traditional criterion society has used, for 100’s of years, to detirmine when someone is INSANE, and needstobe removed from Society, so they don’t harm themselves or others.
Exhibiting, by word and deed that they have no contact with REALITY.
Engaging in words and actions causing real harm to themselves and others, and displaying no concern, or even realisation that they ARE harming themselves and others.
The inmates are running the asylum, and because they are INSANE, trying to explain or understand the motives for their words and actions is a futile excercise; they are INSANE!
You know something Dutchman ?
Whenever I see one of your comments I immediately stop scrolling and start reading. Your comments are spectacular.
Let’s hope they keep being this inept, clueless and stupid. It may be their undoing with the plans they have for the res of us.
That coupled with their arrogance and hubris…
‘There is a thin line between genius and insanity.’
There’s also a thin line between stupid and evil.
People been saying that for a millennia.
But watching it up close is new to many.
This is what happens when bartenders are elected to congress.
Hey bro, I used to bartend. I think I would do alright against the ‘tards we are dealing with now.
No offense my friend.
I should have qualified that with “dumb bartenders”.
I have kept lots of good bartenders in business.
Yes they are, and this right here is the global market.
China is the factory of the world.
US used to be that. US used to be the breadbasket of the world.
Today, the US is the basket case of the world.
Outstanding, HB.

Hopefully Macron will give a nice speech to remind the French electorate where he has stood regarding “climate change initiatives” and Russia and Ukraine and the need for the citizens to make sacrifices.
Hopefully, even the French are seeing this impossibleto ignore insanity for what it is, and give Macron the boot, and shake Brussels to its core, by electing La Pen.
MAGA candidates running in primaries against RINOs should highlight this issue. The economy is in bad shape, and getting worse, in part due to these idiotic sanctions which benefit Russia and harm the U.S. and Europe. Large majorities of both House and Senate republicans support them. They need to be replaced with people who actually care about America.
I don’t care if Yellen is old. She is a lifelong enemy of the people and needs to be destroyed.
Everything China Joe does in foreign policy turns to shit. He has been wrong for the past 30 years on foreign policy. There is a lot more going on than what we are seeing. All these people are back pedaling on Ukraine because the WEF is realizing that a Communist is going to take them all down. Putin has the upper hand in all of this now. Isn’t it funny how gas and oil can make a Country very powerful. Didn’t President Trump say that a while back?
Everything China Joe does in foreign policy turns to shit.
Everything the Obama enablers do while hiding behind the mask of China Joe in foreign policy turns to shit.
(there…fixed it for ya)
“,..that a Communist is going to take them all down,..”
Putin is NOT “a Communist” notice all the rich Oligarchs in Russia?
Conmunism has “party leaders high in the Politoburo” not Oligarchs.
Putin may well be a thug, but he isn’t a “Communist” and Russia isn’t a communist country.
Its actually CAPITALIST; its through Capitalism that you GET rich oligarchs.
Pretty fast—boomerang.
Now they are thinking it through?
Act in Haste-Repent at Leisure.

Go about have America drill baby drill!
How not go.
She will Circle Back to that.
Can you believe that this 4′ Troll is in charge of the country’s finances? If Porky Pig had a wife….
Solution: fire up the nuke plants in all of Europe and return to Trump-era energy policies in the states.
Problem solved….but, yeah, there’s that ideology thing to deal with.
Never mind…..
Great idea, France has the most around 52. But France is cutting their output due to ‘technical’ problems. Just at the point that they could make excess profits.
When they say “let’s be clear” it means they don’t know what the hell they are doing…
Honestly, the country would be better off if we just turned them all off. Ignore them. Don’t listen to them. Don’t comply or cooperate with idiots.
It boggles the mind that someone of Yellen’s age could be sucked into the whole globalism/green energy thing. What wisdom came with her age?? And it goes to show you they are all as dumb as a bunch of rocks. They have grand schemes and visions of themselves, as Narcissists do.

The price of progressive promotion in the world is meeting the Davos and WEF insiders and taking their notes home to read from. Once you prove to have no conscience you’ll be treated to the worlds finest careers and offices. Knowing little is a feature, not a bug.
Promotion is also achieved thru failure; screw up your current job bad enough, and you are virtually guaranteed promotion.
And the initial entrance “fee” or requirement is being a Pedophile, as that held over your head GUARANTEES you will NEVER turn.
Can’t just turn them all off, and leave them in charge.
They need to be removed, FAR away from any “levers of power”.
The dumbest people on earth right now are in Western european parliaments. Cutting their noses off to spite their faces.
Install a clown, you get a circus.
No offense but one look at this gal along with listening to her BS makes me very concerned for my children & grandkids!
President Trump must laugh himself to sleep each night. I know I would.
I think President Trump is feeling very sad. He loves our country and surely mourns that our country has fallen so quickly under the leadership of the “grownups” in charge. Republican, Democrats, and Independents are hurting under the leadership of the “grownups”.
I know I am sad and angry that the “grownups”, the corporations, the media, the Democrat party, and the RINOS and the Rinorettes have deliberately harmed our citizens.
Ready, fire, aim!

So she apparently does know some basic math. It’s almost like working out what we called (in the 1950s) written math problems.
Saw a statement yesterday that said, “The US is now considered a source of last resort for oil.”
I won’t be holding my breath re their capacity to comprehend and adjust, but it is fun to watch reality slap them up-side the head.
“the EU has partly removed themselves as a customer, but the seller, Russia, is still selling; only now they are getting higher prices because the EU and U.S. are disrupting oil and energy production in an effort to chase their climate change goals.”
Obvious reality ignored.
“But if we could figure out a way to do that without harming the entire globe through higher energy prices, that would be ideal.”
Maybe that should’ve been part of the discussion beforehand? Except for facts and reality. Keeps intruding.
The lefties need to change reality. That’s the only solution. Like chopping off body parts makes one a member of the opposite sex.
Every time I read “,..if we could figure out a way,…” I get this mental image of a bunch of dumb as a sack of rocks idiots, sitting around a table,..”gee, theres just GOTTA be a WAY,…”
“Yelling” knew that this would happen when, on the Ides of March, the West used financial warfare against the Central Bank of Russia. BRICS were watching.
How could such an idiot get in her leadership position?
The men on the street could see that in their daily life. And any basic economic knowledge would give the same insight.
The fact that she just noticed it, reinforces the numb skull stupidity or the maliciousness of this obummer 3.0 administration.
As President Trump said, and I’ll paraphrase: these are very evil people.
As I’ve said, real working knowledge is a problem for Prog climbers. They just need to repeat the company memos. The rest is done for them.
I think it’s safe to say she didn’t sleep her way to the top like heels up…
Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing everything incorrectly and then misapplying all the wrong remedies.

Exactly.
The Russian supply of oil to the United States is constantly growing, according to media reports. True, not directly, but through a planned embargo work-around.
The “wrong” Russian oil is delivered to the Latvian port of Ventspils , where it is diluted with the “correct” oil from other sources to a consistency of 49.9 percent and, as if by magic, turns into a unique grade Latvia Blend. This is being delivered by tankers to any point without any restrictions of the world, including countries that vowed to starve Russia to death by not buying its hydrocarbons.
Such is the political, financial and environmental deceit that Washington is engaged and forces all its allies to participate in.

Definitely a no shit Sherlock moment.
If the Bungles Biden gang of nefarious misfits would unleash the tremendous oil and gas reserves of the USA this wouldn’t be the problem the free world is facing today.
“The EU is already experiencing massive energy price increases.”
And they’ll get a lot worse when we’ve depleted our reserves, not to mention the hellish increase we’ll experience.
https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2022/04/americas_emergency_oil_supply_is_heading_to_europe.html
The US consumes approx 20 million barrels per day of oil. This doesn’t include nat gas.
The EU consumes approx 15 million barrels per day of oil. This doesn’t include nat gas.
Total is appox 35 mbpd.
Biden is releasing 1 mbpd for the next 6 months.
It is LITERALLY a drop in the bucket. Won’t lower the price more than a few cents per gallon.
It’s all theater.
Agreed, but it will costa LOT to replenish, and a military can not operate, without LOTS of fuel.
her dumbness is never ending.
You’re not going to do it – you have no leverage. Russia has every right to sell its oil and gas – and to require payment in Rubles, and to get(!) that payment in Rubles because “if they don’t, they close the valve.” You don’t have a “plan B,” and it’s not springtime there yet. You would literally be “left out in the cold.” Russia has no shortage of customers because everybody needs energy.
It makes perfect sense for a nation to require final settlement in its own currency. After all, “that’s what the US does.” In fact, that’s what most nations do. The “odd man out,” until now(!), has been: “energy.”
The “peculiar status” of the US Dollar in energy transactions is finished … as it should have been many decades ago. It’s something that it never should have been allowed to have. If the idea ever had any merit at all, which I doubt, then it is now thoroughly obsolete.
Furthermore: “nothing’s free.” It has cost “everyone, including U.S.,” very dearly in everything that we buy, sell, or ship, as well as in every gallon at the pump. Futures traders have to “hedge” their transactions – effectively, buying insurance – and we(!) are the ones who wind up paying those premiums. We usually don’t directly see the “hedging costs,” but sometimes they are a very large portion of the final price. Especially when the USA is, once again, “up to no good.”
No, this will not “cause the US Dollar to collapse,” but it will demand “fiscal responsibility” to the rest of the world community … which is something the USA (my country …) hasn’t had in a very long time. I’m tired of paying for
theirour abuses and excesses.Well, it did allow us to send out billions of dollars every year in the form of foreign aid, then some of that money come back to line the pockets of DC politicians. We also could print never ending dollars to give to the MIC, which in turn with the help of the IC, could start endless foreign engagements. They both got rich.
As far as helping the average American, since nothing that has been done in DC for the last 75 years was ever designed to help actual tax paying citizens, nothing happening now will change that.
Well, with regard to all of this, “Rumpelstiltskin comes to mind.” He said that he could spin straw into gold, but in the end it was merely straw. It was gold only because he said it was. The same principle applies here.
“Your currency” is valuable only because, and only to the extent that, it can be [exclusively …] used to buy “your products.” The Russian Ruble is valuable because it is now required to buy Russian Gas.
The “trick” that Henry Kissinger played with the US Dollar was to insert this currency forcibly into transactions involving other country’s [energy …] products. This led to a situation where, as we have seen several times even this year, the USA simply “conjured” trillions of its new currency units, right out of
its assthin air. And, it simply expects the rest of the world’s economies to “roll over and take it.” Well, they’re not going to keep doing that anymore. Nor should they. Nor should they ever have. These “magically conjured Dollars” are … “simply straw.” You could by now cut down every tree on this planet and still not have enough wood pulp to turn “all those Dollars” into banknotes. There are certainly not enough known or suspected gold reserves on this orbiting rock to turn them into coins. They are literally … “pure fiction.” And the world is going to close that book. As they properly should have done long before now!
There wouldn’t have been a need to create a Ukraine/Putin scapegoat unless Democrats had to worry about future elections. If H.R.1 (“For the People Act”) had passed, Biden wouldn’t have a reason to bait Putin into a war with Ukraine and Yellen wouldn’t be making that speech.
To put it more succinctly…..
Everything Woke turns to @#%*!
“Proceeds from sales of oil and gas are an important source of income for Russia. It would be very useful to try to devise a way to reduce Russia’s proceeds from those sales,” Yellen said.
As Forrest Gump would say: “I am not a smart man, but………” Since we know that shortages cause a substantial price increase that benefits Russia and hurts the U.S. economy, whey not try flooding the market to bring the price below the Russian’s cost of production and hurt them that way, if that’s the ultimate goal. Seems to me we did pretty well economically with inexpensive energy, and I’d like to think the U.S. can produce more efficiently, so still maintain a viable economic model in the energy sector.
The fly in that ointment is transportation costs.
As energy prices drop, so do transportation costs. I don’t think the issue wold be cost, as much as transportation infrastructure. Pipelines, refineries, etc. Things we can improve on in our own (and cooperative neighbor’s) back yard if needed.
Sell our natural resources below market value, no thanks
I work with a liberal. Weeks ago, I mentioned that the EU sanctions were going to backfire as Russia will just re-route their hydrocarbon-based exports to the East/South (China, India).
The liberal guy rolled his eyes and waved me off. He said something along the lines of, “Russia’s economy is going to collapse. You’ll see.”
Should I even waste more breath on this guy pointing out the error in his prediction? I am sure that he’ll have some talking point ready to go, or have a different memory of what he said…
Putin and Russia will come out on top once the dust settles from this war — Russia in control of Ukraine east of the Dnieper, the remainder of Ukraine neutralized, the world economic order restructured in favor of the BRICS nations, and the US and the EU clearly shown to have weak, incompetent, and ineffectual governments which cannot be trusted by anyone.
Sure, the cost in lives and treasure that Putin and Russia pays for the victory will be much higher than what they had originally bargained for. But they are nevertheless more than willing to pay what ever price must be paid to come out on top in the mid to long term.
I doubt that the “cost in lives and treasure” is right now significantly above their expectations.
If Russia can be faulted for anything, I think it is simply that they spent too long in pointless negotiations. The parties with which they were trying to negotiate were not honorable. Some matters of legitimate national-security interest must, in the end, be resolved by force. Very sad, but true.
Everything that happened in Phase I of the war indicates that Russia’s original invasion plan assumed that Ukraine would quickly see the futility of resisting and capitulate. It didn’t happen that way, and the Russians suffered enormous additional casualties as a consequence.
The Russians are now taking time to recover from their many Phase I mistakes and to reorganize, reinforce, and regroup. After Phase II begins, we will see the Russians use maneuver warfare tactics to trap the bulk of Ukraine’s remaining forces in a pocket east of the Dneiper. If those forces don’t surrender after being trapped, they will be annihilated.
While of course it would be desirable to hope that your enemy would capitulate, a realistic invasion plan would never assume that they would actually do so. Therefore, “Phase II.”
The Russian casualties, while of course unfortunate (“c’est la guerre …”), have probably not exceeded expectations, and their army is certainly not “taking time to recover from their mistakes.” They haven’t made any mistakes.
The stated objectives of this limited military operation remain exactly as Putin said they were: (1) to liberate the eastern provinces; (2) to neutralize Ukranian military capacity; (3) to permanently stop the Ukranian shelling of these provinces; and (4) to slaughter “Real Nazis.”
Russia isn’t interested in “owning” Ukraine. They don’t want Kiev. They won’t depose its “useful idiot” because he is still useful. The Ukranian army will get a chance to surrender honorably. Civilians will be provided with an exit corridor. The Nazis will not – they will be exterminated.
It’s abundantly clear that in the initial days of the invasion, the Russians were not expecting Ukraine to put up a stiff fight. So their initial invasion plan cannot be characterized as realistic. Bad assumptions lead to bad outcomes.
More likely than not, Putin’s generals told him the Ukrainians would quickly surrender and so he took the risk of invading using a faulty plan and without sufficient forces.
Had the Russians expected from the outset there would be stiff resistance, they wouldn’t have made the mistake of sending in their armored columns without sufficient logistics support, and worse; without sufficient numbers of infantry to deal with Ukraine’s infantry-carried anti-armor weapons such as the Javelin.
Nor would they have inserted troops at the Kiev airport in the first days of the invasion with the objective of quickly entrapping the Ukraine government in the city — shades of Mogadishu (‘Blackhawk Down’) with that one.

EUROPE BANNED RUSSIAN OIL AND NATURAL GAS. Russia didn’t ban energy to Europe.
Europe knee-capped themselves while being pushed over the cliff by the Washington Deep Cesspool.
No Diplomacy, no negotiations with Russia. Emotional, childish stupidity.
The U.S. hones the knife and Europe cuts their own throat.
Despite the sanctions, Russia has not felt the strain in the way that the West had intended. Neither India or China has taken a clear stance in favor of or against Russia, opting instead for a hazy middle ground as the bulk of the world’s countries denounce Putin. They have also kept buying Russian energy, so indirectly supporting the incursion of Ukraine while retaining essentially the same trading connections as before the war.
In recent weeks, India has actively increased its imports of Russian oil, drawn by the heavily discounted price compared to surging rates for other types of crude.
According to Reuters, India’s government has requested at least 13 million barrels since the conflict began in late February. This amount, amassed in just two months, is rapidly approaching the 16 million barrels India purchased from Russia for the entire year of 2021.
https://greatgameindia.com/russia-india-china-axis-sanctions/
If you use the test of applying sanctions to judge whether countries ‘denounce Putin’ it doesn’t look to be the “bulk” it looks like a third.
This is what’s scary, when ideology trumps logical sense. The product of narcissistic megalomaniacs who have had too much power for a long time. I have said before I am not convinced some of these string pullers are sane. I know for damn sure some of their puppets are not. Combine that with WMD’s and you have a recipe for something unthinkable.
This sock puppet and all other members of the devil’s army really thought Godlessness and tyranny would prevail? God is always in the details… Godspeed Treepers
Maybe Yellen get’s one right ever now and then; by mistake of course.
Russia’s cost of oil to bring it out of the ground is extremely low ( around $10 per barrel. U. Under what authority or what doctrine does the US get to just confiscate russias private citizens of their yachts and other assets? If I remember isn’t that something the nazis did to the Jewish people during the Holocaust?
A few years ago… Germany’s Merkel: “we are shutting down all of our nuclear generation and phasing out all coal fired generation and relying on green energy and natural gas from Russia through the expanding Nord2 pipeline. PDJT: “That’s a really bad idea Angela to become so reliant on Russian natural gas”. Merkel: “we are doing it anyway”
Now fast forward to today. Euro: “we need to sever our energy dependence on Russia, we need U.S. liquified natural gas (LNG) imports to make up the shortfall”. Meanwhile Euro natural gas price point TTF for LNG imports is around $30 /MMBTU today. The price in the U.S. for most of 2021 was around $3 /MMBTU, now up to about $7 today under the strain of exporting to EU and Asia while the President Cornholio administration continues to kneecap domestic production and pipeline infrastructure. As if $7 isnt bad enough, I wonder how Daimler Benz and other large German manufacturers are enjoying $30 natural gas?
These people are idiots, doing the bidding of a swedish teenager (Greta) and the WEF, and now they want our natural gas in the form of LNG to bail them out of their own made predicament.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – In a virtual address to the World Bank forum Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Thursday that Ukraine needs $7 billion per month to make up for economic losses caused by Russia’s invasion of his country.
For that demand el commandante’ got all dressed in his grownup clothes.
I need $100,000 a month 😃
Oh don’t be greedy, $80,000/mo will do!
As an old man with no training in economics I would have happily given the IMF World Bank meeting better common sense advice than Yellen – for free. For starters the need to transition to LPG and fracking at home rather than hoping for a big enough basket of renewable eggs.
Meanwhile FJB throws another $800M into the “stand with Ukraine” money laundering and perpetual insurgency kitty as Putin does exactly what he said he was doing from the start….taking territory that is already pro Russian. He’s going to cut the Ukraine in half and turn it into a landlocked nation with its most commercial and bountiful areas under his control. I expect nothing from Brandon not only does the buffoon simply do as he’s told but he’s never been right on foreign policy….ever. We are watching how Peter principal intellectual light weights like Jake Sullivan do foreign policy and destroy peace and prosperity around the world in real time using FJB as an avatar. One of the most evil and Macchiavellian experiments I’ve ever witnessed is seeing the Ovama Chicago think tank use a totally politically expendable Brandon to rubber stamp every prog fantasy through congress and inflict pain and hardships on a host of nations all at altar of climate change and the quest to monopolize power and wealth. Disgust is too light a word for what I feel for Yellen Brandon and the coven of handlers and backers in this totally avoidable debacle.
China sees something similar. According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin, quoted on ASB military, “The current situation around the crisis in Ukraine has demonstrated the “bankruptcy of sanctions” and other restrictive measures.”
“On the one hand, the United States is expanding sanctions against Russia. Alongside this it concludes deals with other countries on which it had imposed sanctions earlier. In fact, this indicates the bankruptcy of sanctions,” he said.
“Also, the United States pompously urges Europe to introduce an embargo on Russian oil and gas, but at the same time keeps purchasing Russian energy resources without any restrictions. US financial institutions take advantage of an opportunity to grab the devalued bonds of Russian companies, while Europe has to pay the price for instability in the region and more costly energy resources.”
This country is, after all, the birthplace of Sun Tzu – the immortal author of The Art of War.
America’s Sleeping Prophet on Russia
Edgar Cayce gave 29 readings from 1921 to 1944 that have been grouped together as “World Affairs Readings” since the requestors were seeking to better understand the events happening around them from a global perspective (Series 3976). These readings twice mention that “out of Russia will come the hope of the world.” We have recently noticed that some online posters are claiming that this “hope” is tied to a specific person. But rather than referring to an individual, the readings seem to indicate the spirit of the nation. The first statement, given in 1932, specifically mentions Russia’s gradual religious development. The second, given in 1944, seems to suggest that it is rather the concern of the Russian people for their fellow man that is the basis for this hope. There is also a suggestion that an equitable partnership between Russia and the United States could become beneficial for both as Russia possesses more raw resources than any other nation and the U.S. has better abilities to develop those resources.
