Instead, chief of staff Ron Klain has convinced the puppet to claim Vladimir Putin is to blame for the increase in oil costs.
The manipulative effort to distract the nation from his energy and economic policy outcomes is brazen. However, like most things recently, the blame-casting is likely to be believed by approximately 25% of Americans.
In an attempt to slow down the rising price of gasoline, the puppet on the stage-set near the white house, announced a plan to release 1 million barrels of oil from the strategic petroleum reserve every day for the next six months. {Details}
As admitted, the goal is to “bridge the gap.” Unfortunately, most will not recognize exactly what the destination is on the other side of the bridge.
Inflation is a measure of price at a moment in time relative to the same time one year ago. Ron Klain is trying to keep the tar and feathers away until the White House policy team can cycle through the inflation comparison to the fall of 2022. That’s when the comparison flips to comparing prices to the fall of 2021.
Prices skyrocketed in the last half of 2021. If Ron Klain can keep the electoral torches from reaching the White House until the fall of 2022, the rate of inflation will look better because they will be comparing this year’s high prices to last year’s high prices. The rate of change will lessen; the rate of inflation will look better. Unfortunately, the high prices will remain – forever.

Putin Signs Decree Ordering Gas Exports To Be Halted If Buyers Don’t Pay In Rubles

Contrary to expectations that Vladimir Putin was bluffing about collecting rubles in exchange for Russian energy exports, moments ago a decree signed by the Russian president confirmed that that was not the case.
According to Bloomberg, Putin said he had signed a decree demanding payment in rubles for Russian gas supplies, which is set to begin April 1 as previously reported. According to the decree, while Russia will continue to supply gas at set volumes and prices, it will demand that buyers of gas open accounts in Russian banks, and warned that Moscow can halt gas contracts if buyers don’t pay in rubles; additionally, new proceedings in EUR or USD could be blocked. Pushing what many viewed as a bluff to the edge, Putin said that active contracts will be halted if demands are not met, and explained that the move is meant to increase settlements in national currencies.
Supposedly Putin agreed the other day to let them pay in Euros for a while.
They will pay in euros to gazprom, which will convert the euros to rubles. So, Putin is getting his rubles. He, unlike our uniparty bastards, is not going to back down and screw his people to satisfy the WEF. He is holding the winning hand…. a royal flush full of oil.

There are a few more wrinkles. The SPR is a blend of crude oil from many sources over many years. Mostly high sulfur, cheap, oil.
Existing refineries cannot process the sour crude directly without extensive blending to lower the sulfur content and most likely it will have to be processed at refineries that have desulfurization units in order to meet EPA rules for fuels.
Refineries need the correct input to get acceptable outputs. Even the Keystone XL pipeline would have to divert to Cushing OK to blend their lightweight crude with heavier crudes in order to meet boiling point requirements at the refineries.
All Oil is not “equal”. There are a lot of things that have to be considered. SPR was meant to be used to supply military requirements during wartime where EPA regs would be waived and lots of exceptions made due to a war footing. Biden has not waived the EPA product requirements. So this is not a drop in substitution event.

Russia produces at least 10.1 million barrels of oil PER DAY. The price of oil came down $5 per barrel on the Biden announcement. That is probably a short term drop based on over reaction by traders to the news. I predict that the $5 drop in price will disappear in about 3 weeks as the market figures out this is a short term band aid and price for oil will continue to rise. When the 180 million barrels are replaced, it will be at a higher price than now. The price for gas at the pump will not be affected by more than a few cents as it will continue to rise.
