The White House occupant took to the literal stage today to gaslight the American people and state it is not his energy policy that has created massive increases in gas prices. Instead, chief of staff Ron Klain has convinced the puppet to claim Vladimir Putin is to blame for the increase in oil costs.
The manipulative effort to distract the nation from his energy and economic policy outcomes is brazen. However, like most things recently, the blame-casting is likely to be believed by approximately 25% of Americans.
In an attempt to slow down the rising price of gasoline, the puppet on the stage-set near the white house, announced a plan to release 1 million barrels of oil from the strategic petroleum reserve every day for the next six months. {Details}
As admitted, the goal is to “bridge the gap.” Unfortunately, most will not recognize exactly what the destination is on the other side of the bridge.
Inflation is a measure of price at a moment in time relative to the same time one year ago. Ron Klain is trying to keep the tar and feathers away until the White House policy team can cycle through the inflation comparison to the fall of 2022. That’s when the comparison flips to comparing prices to the fall of 2021.
Prices skyrocketed in the last half of 2021. If Ron Klain can keep the electoral torches from reaching the White House until the fall of 2022, the rate of inflation will look better because they will be comparing this year’s high prices to last year’s high prices. The rate of change will lessen; the rate of inflation will look better. Unfortunately, the high prices will remain – forever.

Tonight, at 7:57 pm Oil and Gasoline are climbing . May Gasoline is up 1.8 pennies per gallon on the evening. Crude oil is up 82 cents per barrel. Let’s go Brandon.
Biden says we are going to save money with electric cars because we are not buying gas. The reality is nobody is going to save because gas taxes which are huge in many states, will be charged somewhere! The lost revenue will be added to your electric bill or registration.

The reserves have been used when there’s supply disruptions due to gulf coast hurricanes. It’s a nice option to have to avoid large price swings. IMO, the reserves should only be used to solve a TEMPORARY disruption, not a long term supply issue due to the stupid energy policies of the current administration.

Funny, it appears the DOE web site giving inventory of the SPR is offline/ missing.
Last reports end of 2021 at the SPR inventory at 594M barrels, with maximum withdraw rate of 4.4M barrels daily, or 20% of daily usage.

Learnt an interesting factoid: Congress has been selling SPR oil since 2015 to offset deficit or as Congress calls it reconciliation.

But, but, but he is also going to REQUIRE fuel efficiency to go up 10mpg, so that will make the reserves last longer . . .
We have 48.5 days of domestic oil production left in our Strategic Petroleum Reserves left (see chart on Poso twitter today).
I am concerned our reserves are being depleted on purpose and should our country be attacked we would be caught with out pants down so to speak.
Seems to me several big events are happening in parallel and on purpose.
He’s going to try to get his bloated proposed budget approved before the election too. Now that they finally got last years done, or done as they get anything.

The SPR is a hedge for another OPEC type crude embargo. Fun fact… the SPR was filled with taxpayer money, now we get to buy it back at a higher price. We don’t have a crude oil problem we have an illegitimate govt with a dementia head of state.

Some time ago a very smart person told me what they thought would happen.
