Senator Marco Rubio (U-DC) was installed as vice-chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) to assist covering up the SSCI involvement in the intelligence community targeting of Donald Trump. Rubio replaced Richard Burr, who was working closely with Mark Warner.
During his appearance with the State Department’s unofficial spokesperson, CNN’s Jake Tapper, Senator Rubio outlined the case against Vladimir Putin noting that Ukraine is a legacy move by the Russian president. In the background of Rubio stating the U.S. needs to stop buying oil from Russia, the Biden administration has entered discussions with Venezuela for replacement oil so they can create the better optic and stop purchasing from Vladimir Putin.
Think about the ridiculousness of the situation as it now presents. Only a few short years ago (January 2019), Marco Rubio was one of the main characters who led a ‘whole of government‘ effort to remove Venezuela leader Nicolas Maduro on behalf of his Latino constituents in Florida. Now that the focus has shifted to Russia, Rubio wants to remove Vladimir Putin, by purchasing oil from Nicolas Maduro. Yup, there’s U.S. foreign policy in a nutshell.
Another worthwhile note, in an earlier segment Jake Tapper called for U.S. sanctions against the Russian DUMA, essentially Russian congress. Tapper wants the U.S. government to start targeting Russian politicians, freezing assets and confiscating their wealth. He just says this as if it’s just an ordinary evolution of “the process.”
It would be interesting to see Jake Tapper’s position if China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, India, Brazil or South Africa started to confiscate the wealth, property and interests of U.S. politicians and/or citizen billionaires of the United States because the U.S. invaded Iraq under false pretenses.
It’s easy to call for war when you won’t be the one fighting it.

But to be absolutely fair, one of the most damaging aspects of Cross Fire Hurricane was that Comey and the FBI were leaking to particular Senators and House members, alleging they had slam-dunk, good-to-rights evidence that Trump was a traitor, evidence (we all know) they didn’t have.
Furthermore, after the GOP well was thoroughly poisoned by such innuendo, the FBI and DOJ were more than willing to let these unfounded rumors fester, leaving Trump with little support regarding his appointments to key positions, none more important than that of Attorney General.
We must recall that Trump, after firing Comey, had his finger on the trigger in order to sack Jeff Sessions within weeks of the latter being confirmed. But the unanimous message from GOP senators was (very inappropriately!!!), “you better not do it!” I specifically recall a tweet from Grassely with similar words of caution.
So Trump had to wait until 2018 to say farewell to Mr. McGoo who, the President had every right to fire and and replace immediately after Sessions’ recusal.
For all the damage that Crossfire Hurricane did, none was greater than setting Trump up to be a victim of suspicion due to this deliberate leaking just as the 45th president of the United States was taking office while enjoying GOP control of both chambers of Congress, yet these congressmen were not at liberty to explain to the President the seriousness of the allegations that were pending against him. I also don’t doubt that they surmised he would be removed before his first term ended.

“The SBU and the militants of the Azov battalion are planning to blow up the reactor and accuse the Russian Armed Forces of allegedly launching a missile attack on the experimental nuclear facility,” the ministry said in a statement, warning of a risk of radioactive contamination of the area should such a false flag incident take place.
