Appearing on Fox Business with Stuart Varney (Friday, 3/4/22), retired Colonel Douglas Macgregor provides a different take on the current situation in Ukraine; a perspective that takes a more pragmatic and realistic view of the situation. Putin appears to be successfully working through a methodical plan and strategy, despite western media trying to frame the great Ukrainian resistance effort.
As noted by Macgregor, there’s nothing heroic about Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sticking to the pro-NATO position within the Ukraine Russia conflict. A more pragmatic approach would be for Ukraine to declare itself neutral in the geopolitical contest between NATO and Russia thereby diffusing the issue that motivates the conflict. WATCH:
It appears all of the western interests, specifically the billions of dollars flowing into Ukraine from U.S. and western sources, are the driving factor in Zelenskyy’s decision making. The Ukraine President held a zoom conference with the U.S. Senate today and received more assurances of money and arms to keep up the battle. The U.S. is going to frame this as a multi-year-long insurgency battle if Vladimir Putin succeeds.
(NBC) […] Schumer told Zelenskyy that Congress will get the $10 billion in economic, humanitarian and security assistance to the Ukrainian people “quickly,” according to two people with knowledge of the call.
Zelenskyy spoke on the call first, followed by Schumer and McConnell, then Sens. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, and Dick Durbin, D-Ill., the co-chairs of the Senate Ukraine caucus, said two people with knowledge of the call. (link)

The pandering and propping up the degenerate president of Ukraine is a spectacle of the first order. Watching American politicians fall all over themselves to praise and support that authoritarian makes me sick. I’ll bet money Zelensky isn’t even in Kiev anymore. And where’s the famed boxer/mayor Klitchko!? No one has mentioned him since Day 2. No doubt he’s skipped town as well.
One thing I am glad about is McGregor calling a spade a spade by pointing out the truth about Zelensky being a puppet, but I would go even further and say the man is more dangerous that a pit of rattlesnakes running his mouth the way he has. However, I’m sure he will be enjoying the Miami sunshine soon enough.
the billionaire oligarch will retire to his dachau in south florida
The word is dacha, please fix this
There’ve been reports since yesterday that he’s in Poland.
But nothing that’s verified AFAIK.
If you are saying Zelensky is in Poland, he’s not he’s in Kyiv.
Just like you can’t have vaccine passports without Covid, you can’t destroy the swift system without sanctions
Putin has a little debt and lots of gold, the sanctions will cause some headaches but the sanctions will also mean that the Chinese and Russians and Chinese and anyone else for that matter will go outside the swift system
Without the swift system dominance, the USD potentially loses its world reserve currency status
Without world reserve currency status US dollar devalues greatly and US powers diminish greatly
I think that is a key thing that a lot of people are missing.
This whole battle was started to cripple the West
Who wants to cripple the west so he can build it back better?
Our good friend Mr. Klaus Schwab.
…and one of Mr. Schwab’s disciples–Barack Hussein Obama.
B I N G O that’s been my thought process as well.
McGregor is an ignoramus, unfortunately. A man with his background should be better informed. A number of other retired officers disagree with him quite a bit.
Yanukovych was the puppet. If McGregor really thinks Zelensky is a puppet, he’s mad.
Zelensky is still in Kyiv right along with the mayor.
Of course Zelensky is a puppet:
One of Ukraine’s most popular TV channels 1+1, owned by oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky, has given Zelenskiy a powerful platform in recent months during his meteoric rise to the brink of the presidency. On Saturday, a day before Zelenskiy won the first round of the presidential contest and set up a run-off with the incumbent Petro Poroshenko, 1+1 filled its schedule with back-to-back shows by the comedian and actor.
Yes, Zelensky is definitely a puppet. In the video below, expat Gonzalo Lira (Sundance posted one of his videos here or on his twitter), who lives in Ukraine, talks about Zelensky being a 100% puppet of Ukrainian oligarch Kolomoisky, who apparently lives in Switzerland and has 3 passport. Gonzalo also says Ukraine is totally controlled by Kolomoisky and thugs in the US state dept, including Victoria Nuland (married to PNAC/neocon Robert Kagan, who helped get the War on Iraq going), Wendy Sherman, and Blinkin. He says Kolomoisky was the $$$ behind the TV show that started Zelensky as an anti-corruption guy who became president. Also says Kolomoisky is a real thug–does business deals at gun point, and funds the neonazis in the Azov Battallion. Gonzalo gets into this starting at about 57 min. (Also, fwiw, on George Webb’s twitter, he has quick videos about how Zelensky has a $34 million mansion in FL, gifted to him by Kolomoisky, and on Biden also getting a mansion in FL from Kolomoisky in 2015 as reward for his help with the 2014 coup in Ukraine)
Are they at Jupiter Island, close to Nancy?
Kolomoisky is the oligarch who owns a controlling interest in Burisma and appears to have a controlling interest in Hunter Biden, or really Hunter’s daddy.
Little in that response that is substantive.
Yanykovych was actually democratically elected, whether you agree with him or not. Zelensky was installed. He is a controlled puppet of the west that is losing control and putting his country in danger.
You are delusional. He is a comedian best known for playing Israeli folk music on the keyboard with his penis, and dancing half naked in drag wearing high heels. His cabinet members are all comedians, joke writers or comedy producers. The government is being run by oligarchs like Ihor Kolomoyskyi and his ilk.
If you believe Zelenskyy was an everyday Ukrainian man who was a comedian on TV your wrong.
Only the truth tellers are removed and disagreed with on the faux news channel and McGregor is far from being an ignoramus.
Zelenskyy is a thief with upwards of a billion dollars + stashed in foreign banks….. he is being controlled and is the puppet
Remember the Panama Papers?
Then he’s only 199 billion dollars behind Putin.
Upvoting your own comments doesn’t make it right, you do know that ya?
You are right Yanukovych was Russias puppet.
And Zelensky is our puppet.
And the previous puppet Poroshenko, was the direct beneficiary of our coup d’état in Ukraine.
Are you seeing a pattern here?
Who is Zeleniskyba puppet of ?
WEF
McGreggor is the only military person I believe. Stuart looked shocked – shocked I tell you! that funny business is going on in Casablance, I mean Ukraine. What a doofus.
Driving Russia into the arms of China, will come back to hurt us.
“Close The Skies Or Give Us Planes”.
No. Neither. Get it through your thick head that the US / NATO is not going to war with Russia over Ukraine.
American boys will have some problem dying for the greater glory of Ukraine in a slav vs slav contest.
Go neutral, stop it now.
Start the guerrilla war at your leisure.
No insurgent war either.
Neither Russia nor the EU want an Afghanistan type of conflict right on their doorsteps.
The NATO military knows what the real score is with Ukraine and the high levels of corruption which is why they’re sitting this one out.
Insurgency breeds terrorism and those neo-Nazi militias are ready made terror groups.
We all know that the proposed US funding would go straight into the pockets of the DS and their operations.
Putin most likely knows this as well which is why my bet is the Zelensky government will be throughly liquidated before Putin declares the incursion (not invasion) complete and done with and before he withdraw from the country.
‘No insurgent war either’.
Good luck with that, it’s a certainty.
Can’t see the problem, it will be contained within Ukraine/Russia border areas……much like the breakaway eastern provinces over the last decade.
All US funding of all overseas entities goes at least 80:20 into pockets…… surely no surprise?
Yep…BiteMe’s offer went from $6B to $8B to now $10B…who knows where it will end? And thats only on the front end.
Laundered to the Clinton Foundation, Joe, Deon, Kerry son, ad nauseum.
Bribes galore for every one.
BINGO on that too. As Catherine Austin Fitts said, they began pulling the money out in 1997. That’s OUR MONEY they are hemorrhaging out of OUR pockets and into THEIR pockets.
Putin will not tolerate a neutral Ukraine. He needs control to accomplish what he wishes to accomplish.
.
Please direct me to a source with evidence of “what Putin wants”.
.
Give us planes?
And of course Zelensky has pilots trained to fly American jet fighters?
I doubt it.
“Give us planes”…this is what happens when you leave some planes for ISIS in Afghanistan.
US Truckers need to start asking for planes.
Little punk.
As the Ukrainian airport is now inoperable, giving Ukraine planes would mean involving other countries like Poland. NATO and the Pentagon have ruled that out completely. And creating a no fly zone would be an act of war against Russia. Zelensky is an idiot.
My understanding is that Ukraine does have an Air
force and some plans.. So as the leader of the country
why doesn;t HE declare a no fly zone over HIS country?
The first thing the Russians did, on day one, was bomb the runways at the airport. The airport is in Russian control, so any planes coming into Ukraine must come in from another country, and would thus involve another country (presumably Poland) in the conflict. Not a good idea.
John McCain/Lindsey Graham visiting AZOV Battalion & Ukrainian troops in Dec of 2016.
Why?
Planned on attacking Russia in a Syria 2.0 type Proxy War
“Your fight is our fight, 2017 will be the year of OFFENSE.”
Trump stopped it.
The Elite Restarted it Putin knows this.
https://www.bitchute.com/video/3Z96Pgvpccwa/
Dunning-Krueger Effect
“A type of cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This over estimation occurs as a result of the fact that they don’t have enough knowledge to know they don’t have enough knowledge.”
You may now insert the traitorous names of McCain and Graham right here. Only two of the many selling out our country.
That pretty much sums up the entire government
@nichan…exactly. What you certainly know, but the Western public doesn’t know and the MSM needs to keep secret, is that the Azov Battalion is a real NAZI organization. It has been an internal problem for Ukraine even before the buffoon actor Zelenskyy.
IIRC, the initial USA response was to offer Zelensky safe passage out of Ukraine. That is the USA position as far as military support. No NATO support. No EU military support. No USA military support.
McGregor offers an analysis that is supported by both the Ukrainian and Russian militaries actions and the potential for Zelensky to receive military support that would alter the outcome.
Ukraine sure is getting a lot of support for someone that isn’t gong to get any.
.
No. That’s about a whole lot of arms manufacturers and other opportunists selling their wares to donating countries. $$$$$ From the countries’ standpoint, it’s virtue-signaling and pretending that they are doing something.
Were we to go to war with Russia, the vast majority of the troops would be American.
Screw that.
.
Now this, I agree with. Using a pragmatic & realistic approach to the influence of the US on Zelensky to push more NATO interference–everything is a Planned Agenda!
I love this man!!!
Varney’s shock, reminds me of the earlier video posted, of a French TV panel, interviewing a dual citisenship french/Ukranian woman.
They were gobsmacked when she said her family members, living in kiev, were NOT evacuating, although they had decided not to go in to work.
Varneys a tool, always has been. I am surprised Col. McGregor has gotten on networks at all, with his contrarian views.
Like the livestreamers during the Canadaprotests, makes me wonder; do they not have the ability to block this content,…or are they choosing not to excercise it,..and if its the latter,…WHY not?
Bingo. I’ve never thought Varney represented anyone but Wall Street and the high wealth globalists, despite trying to sound “folksy” at times.
McGregor is one of the large stall of talking heads that get called on when military issues are being discussed.
The Biden Adm has started a proxy war with Russia/Putin only this time we are funding both sides. Buying Russian Oil and sending Ukraine Aid.
Chuck FU Schumer and Turkey Neck McConnell already told Zelensky on a Zoom call today that he will be getting mega dollars from us, that of course will be kicked back to the corrupt politicians after China Joe gets his 10% cut. Zelesnky will walk away a multi millionaire aafter this.
We shouldn’t be giving Ukraine anymore aid as they are about to fold and it will all end up in Russian pockets, just like the oil $.
Zelensky, according to reports, is already a billionaire, with a $35 million mansion in Florida and millions more in jewels. Lots socked away in foreign bank accounts as well. Come to think of it, he has enough to fund his own resistance against Russia. Someone should suggest that to this poseur.
one might even call him an oligarch
z is already a billionaire
Zelensky made good money as an actor.
He should use his money to help his people now, then.
I bet he’s worth a lot less than Putin’s money-babysitting oligarch friends and he’s only worth about 1% of Putin himself.
And his people will suffer needlessly. I hate these people.
You don’t have to tell me Foreign Aid is a Revolving door of Money Laundring that ends up back in DC. Trump was Suspicious of Zelenskyy and he was well aware of the Corruption in Ukraine. At that impeachment trial we saw all the Corrupt State Dept Officials trying to deflect about their involvement
In Ukraine. Zelenskyy is as Corrupt as the rest of our politicians trying to distance themselves from their Corrupt ties to Ukraine.
Putin sends his thanks.
cruel…..but truthful!
.
“Only this time we are funding both sides…”
AGAIN!
(Remember that Bush II gave the Taliban millions, and that Hillary and Obama supported ISIS, er “resistance fighters” in Syria.)
But not at the same time.
Yes, Ukraine should declare itself a neutral country like Switzerland. The war would be over tomorrow. However, Democrats and the military industrial complex would be very unhappy. They love wars! The battle over Ukraine was completely unnecessary.
but Switz is no longer neutral. they just declared support for ukraine.
it is the location of davos afterall
they have NEVER actually been neutral….throughout the Middle Ages they used to lease their well-renowned military out as mercenaries and in WWII they actively financed Hitler’s war machine
.
Switzerland is fake neutral. Home to the WEF, and where for a century the corrupt oligarchs and criminals of the world — from all sides — stashed their gold, jewels, and funds.
Err….no.
That’s not how contracts work, son.
Any company trying that will feel exclusion from international bank guarantees and will be shut out in the future.
They’ve already been shut out and excluded, hence the “pay them in rubles”
Forgive me if it was here that I found this blogger. I’ve visited so many websites I don’t know. If it WAS here, thank you to person who linked to it.
Anyway, excellent writer here–his thoughts on this new endeavor our govmint is invested in:
https://im1776.com/2022/03/03/kayfabe-in-kiev/
Very valid points and very well written. I will be following.
Thanks
This is an excellent, very well-written, and soulfully rich essay about TPTB’s zeal to go to war in Ukraine…
Thanks for posting the link, tlhoward!
.
Excellent! Thank you!

Ukraine killing errebody…
And, what is important about this? And is it even factual? Twitter isn’t a reliable source on anything.
More on assassinations here:
https://southfront.org/terrorist-democracy-in-ukraine-overview-of-recent-assassinations-photos-18/
On March 5, member of the Ukrainian delegation for the first round of negotiations with Moscow was assassinated in Kiev.
The Ukrainian negotiator who took part at the first Russian-Ukrainian meeting in Gomel Kireev Denis Borisovich was killed in the center of the capital near the building of the Pecherskiy court. He was shot in his head.
The Ukrainian newspaper UNIAN reported that Mr. Kireev was killed after he was detained by members of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). According to media reports, Denis Kireev was suspected of treason.
Mr. Kireev was close to the former deputy Prime Minister during the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych, Andrei Klyuev, according to the Ukrainian newspaper Country.ua. He worked in the banking sector.
Pro-Russian mayor assassinated
In the Luhansk region, the mayor of Kremennaya village Vladimir Struk was found dead on March 1. He had previously proposed local deputies to start communication with Russia.
According to his wife, he was stolen by unknown gunmen. Later his body was found with a gunshot wound to the heart.
Also, fwiw, in the video “Who is Zelensky- A Puppet and Here’s Why” posted on the “Gonzalo Lira” youtube channel(he’s an expat living in Ukraine), he says that the Zelensky regime is brutal and makes Pinochet’s regime look like a bunch of boy scouts.
The legal scholar for the Rhodesian delegation was assassinated during the negotiations
Varney looked shocked that MacGregor did not consider Zelensky a hero. I agree with MacGregor. All Zelensky has to do is declare his country neutral and Russia would be satisfied. But Zelensky is a comedian/actor, not a strategic thinker. He is needlessly prolonging the inevitable, encouraging his people to resist and thereby causing many unnecessary deaths. Zelensky needs to stop with the self-aggrandizing Facebook selfies and start thinking responsibly about his country.
As an aside, I was a student at the Army Command and General Staff College at Leavenworth back in the day. We studied Soviet tactics and let me tell you, they do nothing subtly or half-hearted. As MacGregor said, all the stories about Ukrainians winning (looking at you Blinken) are pure hogwash. Where Americans tend to go in with a chisel, Russians go in with a hammer. And after the depletion of our military assets in Afghanistan, we have even less to bring to the fight. We know we can’t take Russia; NATO knows they can’t take Russia and we all know that Ukraine is a country of no strategic interest to either. So, good luck Zelensky. Remember to charge up your cell phone before the next selfie.
we have been spending from $600-800B/year in military spending for a number of years now….your thoughts that the loss of material in Afghanistan has in any way seriously weakened us is at best short sighted…..it may have caused slight shortages of some materials but those were likely already in the pipeline for replacement as soon as they were “lost”
Whether Ukraine losing is inevitable will be shown in the future. So far, Russia’s army is performing poorly, and their logistics is an absolute mess.
If the social engineering in the US military hasn’t irreparably damaged the force, the US could easily take the army Putin has fielded in Ukraine. Russia’s equipment was obsolescent at the time of the end of the USSR. Their army has no NCO corps worthy of the name, and the officers, as a result, have too much placed on them.
Frankly, anyone buying what McGregor is saying about Russia is a fool.
Now Now – let us allow for opposing views on this matter. Otherwise we can say YOU are a fool for believing what you do.
.
Hey Quartermaster. My kids go into combat, they don’t push paper. Wasn’t Afghanistan enough? One right now is still in the Shitholistans, another deployed this week to Germany, where supposedly NATO forces are staging. Big talk offering up their lives in order to… accomplish what? Save Ukraine as the slush fund of the corruptocrats? This is their border dispute. Let them work it out between themselves. Stop shilling for either side.
A troll, a know it all, and an ingnoramus. Congrats, you’ve obtained the douche trifecta.
So…the war party in congress has the will to blow up a situation that appears to be winding down. After the SOTU a few evenings ago, they know that their guy in the White House is not a good enough pitchman. They are having to seize the situation and use Article I, Section 8, Clause 11. After 1941, the Congress has shirked its duty to protect its power to declare war and thereby maintain clean hands in case anything goes wrong.
They must need Zelensky dead so that he cannot talk and Kiev burned to the ground to destroy evidence. Then the #BuildBackBetter can begin.
Once again, Rep Thomas Massie shows that he is the smartest guy in the House.
Guys I feel like my brain is lighting up like a Christmas tree. I have been so wrong about Obama. Let me explain. I think most of us are guilty thinking Obama is a Commie jerkwad. Everyone still with me? Well he’s not an ideologue I’m here to say. He was responsible in the West for nurturing groups like Antifa and BLM. To be fair antifa has been around for many years. But in the East (Ukraine) he funded and supported far right Neo Nazi groups to terrorize ethnic Russians. So Barry is not a run of the mill Commie. He’s a damn terrorist.
Obama supports those who advance his ideology. His goal was always to bring the U.S. down to the same scale as all other nations.
That’s why Obama supported Occupy Wall Street while simultaneously supported the WEF.
The goal is to take down USA.
Because the US has been the stumbling block in the way of the Globalists/WEF/Davos/Multi National Corps (whatever) . We once stood in the way of Totalitarian control. I hate to say this but I think Russia and maybe even China are the biggest obstacles now. It’s still too early to bet on either of them. I don’t think any of them really care about ideology. It’s whatever puts them in power. A power that comes from dividing the people. In other words, it’s not as black and white as I once thought.
Thanks for all you do SD!!
Any means necessary, eh? Heck of a guy, Barry.
Hopefully history treats Obama badly.
Which Russia has been helping secular Syria defeat. And the terrorist group “they’ told us did 9/11 “Al-Qaeda”
The truth on Azov and the “neo-Nazis” of Ukraine. Like so much else in Putin’s agitprop, the Nazi thing is a lie. Putin, OTOH, is a fascist to his core. Ukrainians never terrorized anyone, but the Russians in the Donbas certainly tried to terrorize everyone they could get in their hands, and conducted several false flags just before the invasion.
https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2022/03/about_those_neonazis_in_ukraine.html
I don’t pretend know everything especially over there. That’s why I try and find people that do. It’s very complicated sometimes. The Ukraine ran color rev. in 2014. I assumed it must have been the Nazis and far right factions stirring the pot. Very similar to the US 2020. Admittedly I don’t know that for a fact though. I don’t think anyone can argue it’s how they seated power of the puppet govt they have now.
Great point!! Varney got tongue tied at the end. Fox News is not much different than CNN. They are but they come at you from the right. We should call Fox Inverse Media.
No one should think Putin is a saint. Far from it. We must always be very cautious with him. But, unless/until proven wrong, I think our own NWO Globalist Govt/Deep State is much more of a threat to the longterm wellbeing of both Ukraine and our own United States than Putin is. I sympathize with all Ukranians, caught between a corrupt puppet regime and a Russian bear which has been poked too many times. Pipedream perhaps, but I just long for a day when the US Govt ceases their shady forms of interventionism if not all intervention (albeit while still carrying the biggest stick), fomenting coups, exploiting other countries for money-laundering operations, creating/funding with our own taxdollars (!) biolabs for bioweapon research in other countries which by law they are forbidden to do on US soil, etc. The US embassy in Ukraine has now deleted from its website any reference to the 11 biolabs the Pentagon was funding in Ukraine. Perhaps that means those labs no longer exist. Let us hope so.
Putin is not against a NWO. He has his own vision. With him at the top. That is what his invasion is all about.
Yep and right now “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”
Quartermaster, you are trying too hard. It shows. You are preaching to your choir. The undecided are not going to listen to you.
$10 Billion–that means 10 Hunter prosecutors will have to be fired.
Zelensky: “Close The Skies Or Give Us Planes!”
He doesn’t get it. Not even Fake Biden will start WWIII for him–but Biden will let Ukraine bleed all they want.
BTW, this war was originally scheduled for Hillary’s first term in 2017.
Orthodox Christian Russia already has a “No Fly Zone” over Ukraine, Al Franken of Ukraine. A clown running the country in Ukraine? Boy doesn’t that sound familiar and both illegitimate
Looks like more BIG $$$$$$$$ to the global slush fund and puddinhead and all the puddinhead spawn get the standard 10%
Start those printing presses at the mint PDQ
And amazingly the Clintons and their Global Initiative Foundation is back in business!
Amazing Coinkydink!
Some say that’s the clear signal that The Hag is running for Prez again in 2024. I’m guessing she’s been told that the election rigging apparatus has been tested, tweaked, and found to be working properly (i,.e,.2020) so her “success” is all but guaranteed.
Varney is such a patsy
At least he listened to an opinion he had never been exposed to before.
.
Talk is cheap. Why aren’t they in CUs?
Case in point:
What’s Ted’s cut? Or is this a virtue signal? Will he paint his face blue and gold?
I’m surprised Saint Zee has time to be in some many phone calls, pictures, meetings… all while “we engaged in the front battle”. The man is unstoppable!
Ted, if the US was serious it would cease all energy imports from Russia today…..but it isn’t serious…as you well know.
And Ted Cruz is talking to him for what reason?
He needs Z to speed up the money transfer to his Swiss account. He doesn’t care how!!
Sit down, Ted. That was unnecessary.
And we now refer to people by their Twitter handles? WTF is going on in Washington? The US citizenry should take back Washington. Enough with this corrupt bullsh*t already.
Hey Ted, what do you think of your comrade Foam Boy Rubio’s Chip en Dale routine? Kinda of reminds you of Zelensky’s no?
Cruz is correct.
Jeez, you’re annoying.
Oh absolutely!
Now if we could just fix the supply line issues Teddy could meet them on their border with $10 billion dollars worth of soccer balls and teddy bears!
The senator now has an email from this constituent waiting for him in his inbox.
To Quote the WHO (rockband) “We Won’t Get Fooled Again.”
$10 billion. Does the big guy still get his 10%?
Zelenskiy is simply following orders, doing the bidding of TPTB, which include most of the current Western “leaders”. After all, there are trillions at stake.
Every time I stop and think about what the bottom line is for what’s happening in the world today, I get physically ill.
Although they’re already millionaires many times over, they still sell their souls for nothing other than more, more, more.
Headlines everywhere should read: U.S. Senate assures Ukrainian President of plentiful American tax dollars to kill exponentially more Ukrainian women and children.
That’s just sick. You have absorbed all the lies that Putin wants you to absorb.
Troll
There was a time I would have fought in a war…… and today I am much wiser….. as the ONLY way I would fight in a (legitimate) war is if the man that is telling me to fight is about three feet in front of me for the battle.
This guy IS a puppet and the thousands that will die believe the rhetoric of this Joker……
I realize ZeroHedge is a sewer, but some are saying that Zelenskyy’s troops are firing on Ukrainians trying to leave. If what MacGregor says is true, and Russia is being “careful”, where else are the bombs coming from/ Who is lying?
There are videos of Azoz Brigade murdering Ukrainians trying to leave
There is occasionally very obvious Russian propaganda on ZH.
OTOH, this is an existential fight for the Neo Nazis in Ukraine, just as it is an existential fight for Russia. Nazi’s would not deliberately fire on civilians to keep them as human shields?
An eye-opening dissenting voice in the MSM today that nails the hypocrisy.
One glorious day in Sevastopol 12 years ago, I saw what was coming. That’s why I won’t join this carnival of hypocrisy
A memorable line from the article:
“I know that Ukraine’s current government, now treated as if it was almost holy, was brought into being by a mob putsch openly backed by the USA in 2014”
There was no coup. Yanukovich ran and abandoned his office when things had been ironed out to allow him to finish his term. Putin recalled his puppet because Yanukovich staying was not as good an option for Putin.
This was a great read.
All these people forget when they are looking at the Ukraine propaganda and how bravely the Ukrainians are fighting, that the US escalated the war in Vietnam due to a false pretext (the Tonkin Gulf Resolution) that we knew was false. The US proceeded to increase their troops exponentially, bomb Hanoi and the rest of the North, bomb Cambodia, which resulted in hundreds of thousands of dead Vietnamese people. We used napalm that landed on children and set them on fire.
The US has no moral right whatsoever condemning anyone for invading another country.
But we were fighting the global spread of communism. Wink. Wink. Nudge. Nudge. No what I mean?
The Gulf of Tonkin incident was a result of garbled comms. The Navy tried to straighten it out, but some of the politicos got what they wanted to get us into Vietnam.
Since you are an American, you have no right to condemn anyone for condemning someone else. It’s just puffery on your part.
My, aren’t we testy today.
Read the book Dereliction of Duty. It is based on files which were at the time of the writing were recently declassified.
Highly recommend ” The Duran ” channel on youtube and Rumble & odessey. Great analysis and context, just like what the Colonel is saying.
I’ve been following that channel on Odysee since someone here posted something from them a few days ago. Have not been disappointed. They try to analyze Putin’s actions in the light of what he has done and said previously. IMO, higher quality analysis than what you get when you try to deconstruct the situation from an American viewpoint.
Agree- I’ve been listening to them for years!
There is a huge gamble going on with the Ukrainians being the fodder.
Here is a link to a great summary of how the western elites are exploiting Ukraine……….and how the politicians, intel agencies and/thru the media is fully involved in this total war on truth to keep the sinking western ship afloat.
Ukraine is the redline for the west to maintain its’ power and the people of Ukraine are meaningless.
https://unherd.com/2022/03/how-western-elites-exploit-ukraine/
Decent analysis but Arta Moeini must get paid by the word.
Yes! Thank you, Sundance. If realist heads could prevail, this would be over by tomorrow. Split Ukraine. The Eastern provinces with the large Russian populations become part of the Russian Federation, and the rest of Ukraine becomes a neutral, nonaligned buffer state between Russia and NATO. Done and let’s go home.
Zelensky is s doofus who thought he could play the game with the masters of duplicity and deceit. Welcome to the NFL.
Putin is a dirtbag for invading a sovereign European country. The whole world, including those who stand uncomfortably with him, now know to not stand TOO close because that bear is rabid. Eventually, there WILL be a price paid for the offense of invasion.
“Putin is a dirtbag for invading a sovereign European country.”
Putin did not invade a sovereign European country. He invaded a globalist colony where power was exercised by a cabal of transnational corporations and the US embassy. Ukraine has not been sovereign since the US organized and funded 2014 coup.
.
Right. And there has been the equivalent of guerilla warfare in easter Ukraine for 8 years. And Putin has been asking for years for assurances and has not got them.
Our troops should be on the U.S. Mexico border and if necessary, going in and wiping out the drug cartels.
Varney know that the truth, He can’t agree, the FOX idiots will never agree.
All the uniparty members on the call with Zelinsky. No surprise there.
No. The surprise, so far, is that Biden is ruling out direct engagement of US forces. Explicitly.
That is very interesting. And perhaps a surprise to the uniparty screaming demons. He was probably supposed to buy in, keep escalating. Instead he us having nap time in Delaware.
Maybe that explains even Cruz hitting the panic button. His mask slips more every week.
Ive heard there are people in the DOD who will not champion the Unitparty war. Some Trumpers in place it seems
.
Yeah but remember he also “ruled out” vaxx mandates during his campaign. I don’t trust.
Finally somebody with some sense interviewed. Fox and the Rinos need to see the similarities of the situation in terms of the Cuban Missile Crises was to Kennedy, NATOing the Ukraine is to Putin. We’re hypocrites to blame Putin, for what he’s doing was what Kennedy was prepared to do, save that Castro with Russia stood down. Putin’s no more a madman than was Kennedy in what he was prepared to do to protect our American homeland.
Zelensky appeared drunk or stoned during his conference. Anyone else notice?? Anyway, Macgregro is probably giving the best analysis you can get on MSM.
“In 1991, with the collapse of the Soviet Union, US-NATO foreign policy had to re-imagine its role in the world. The Cold War served as a means of justifying US imperialist expansion across the globe with the aim of “containing” the Soviet threat. NATO itself was created and existed for the sole purpose of forging an anti-Soviet alliance. With the USSR gone, NATO had no reason to exist, and the US had to find a new purpose for its imperialist strategy in the world. … The wars in Yugoslavia throughout the 1990s served as a justification for the continued existence of NATO in the world, and to expand American imperial interests in Eastern Europe. ”
— Andrew Gavin Marshall: An Imperial Strategy for a New World Order: The Origins of World War III, Part 1
.
And by the way, the moment USSR fell, UK and US financial guys were setting up tables outside Russian and Ukrainian factories to buy up the workers’ shares. Fortunes were made.
“I’m inclined to disagree with you Colonel.”
“Yeah, how so? Please do explain, Mr. Presstitute where I was incorrect.”
That’s what I would have liked to have heard.
BTW, if you arm the populace and instruct them to fight, then anything short of being captured or being shot by the Russians is an act of complete cowardice.
If Ze stays and gets captured or killed, then he has my respect and earned hero status. Otherwise, if he absconds to a NATO country, then he is a bum….in my opinion, of course.
If you arm the population then Putin isn’t killing civilians
Right now Ukraine is a globalist domain… if Putin drops in. Thats done.
One less for NWO… one less playground for Biden/Clintons
I’m sure Z will pocket some of that and then hit the road when it gets ugly.
US Tells All Americans To Leave Russia “Immediately” After Putin Dials Up Threats
5 Mar 2022
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/evacuation-ceasefires-break-down-russian-shelling-resumes-key-port-cities
Update(4:30pmET): The State Department on Saturday updated its advisory for American citizens in Russia, urging them to leave “immediately”. It comes after a prior notification from the embassy on Wednesday which advised that they should “consider” exiting the country.
Below are the opening paragraphs the State Department’s new travel warning, coming the same day it was revealed that American WNBA and former Olympic star Brittney Griner was detained at Sherematyevo International outside Moscow [emphasis in original travel warning]:
Do not travel to Russia due to the unprovoked and unjustified attack by Russian military forces in Ukraine, the potential for harassment against U.S. citizens by Russian government security officials, the Embassy’s limited ability to assist U.S. citizens in Russia, COVID-19 and related entry restrictions, terrorism, limited flights into and out of Russia, and the arbitrary enforcement of local law. U.S. citizens should depart Russia immediately.
U.S. citizens residing or traveling in Russia should depart immediately. Limited commercial flight options are still available. Overland routes by car and bus are also still open. If you wish to depart Russia, you should make arrangements on your own as soon as possible. If you plan to stay in Russia, understand the U.S. Embassy has severe limitations on its ability to assist U.S. citizens, and conditions, including transportation options, may change suddenly. U.S. citizens who are able to depart Russia for another country and are in need of emergency assistance upon arrival may contact a U.S. embassy or consulate in that country.
Griner is accused of having drugs on her possession, and it’s believed she’s already been in Russian custody for a number of days.
This is huge…
Visa, Mastercard Suspend All Russia Operations – 5 Mar 2022
https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/visa-mastercard-suspend-all-russia-operations
Just hours after Ukraine president Zelensky asked Congress to, among other things, turn off Visa and Mastercard in Russia to which Rep Brad Sherman responded that “the Financial Services committee needs to look at this next week” the two payment processors decided unilaterally and without any prodding from Congress, to suspend Russia operations and all transactions initiated with its cards issued in the country will no longer work abroad. In a statement Saturday, Visa said that any cards issued by financial institutions outside of Russia will also no longer work within the country.
Ebay same thing
.
I am actually gobsmacked about the dirth of attention on the Griner story . . .
This person is a ‘moderate celebrity’ in Phoenix, yet not one mention of this person’s plight has been broadcast.
Perhaps the local news stations are a bit leery of having this person in the news again, since the last non-basketball story re: this person had to do with how shocked this person was when the woman this person was ‘supposed to marry’ pronounced that she was pregnant — blowing the ‘storied romance’ off the front pages . . .
Video of a Russian Mi-24 helicopter getting shot down reportedly from this morning – 5 Mar 2022
That may be a US Stinger although I’ve seen the Ukrainians with captured Russian MANPADS. Looks like someone was positioned with camera in an upper floor of a building waiting for one to pass by. The trajectory of the missile also looks like it may have been launched from the roof of a building. I’ve read that the Russians are having some communication issues that sometimes require them to talk over non-secure (unscrambled) radio links, which would allow ambushes to be set up.
I thought the Stinger might have a low-smoke rocket motor to hide the launch point, but it doesn’t:
U.S. Marines with Bravo Battery, 2nd Low Altitude Air Defense (LAAD) Battalion fire FIM-92C Stinger missiles at target aircraft drones during a live-fire exercise in Norway (2016).
Saw that map earlier on another site. From what I have read (not on MSM as I avoid that) the Russians are moving slowly trying to keep down civilian casualties and also not destroy all buildings and the like. This is costing them, but they are sticking to that. The unfortunate things I hear is that some of the Ukie forces like Azof are not letting civilians out of the cities and are using them as human shields to drive up civilian deaths and injuries for propaganda purposes to be shown on western TVs.
BILLIONS for Yuck-raine ….. zero to secure the US border.
Got it !

FTA:
“A more pragmatic approach would be for Ukraine to declare itself neutral in the geopolitical contest between NATO and Russia thereby diffusing the issue that motivates the conflict.”
That SOUNDS reasonable, if you truly believe Putin’s BULL SH*T excuse for invading Ukraine.
A more valid description of that situation is made by likening it to “The foxes in the woods only attacked the henhouse because they FELT THREATENED by the chickens.”
There’s NOTHING Zelenskyy could do or say at this point that will satisfy Putin’s thirst for Ukrainian territory, just like there’s nothing Israel can do to satisfy ITS Arab neighbors.
BOTH will be under constant threat as long as they exist.
.
And you know this how, shill for Ukraine?
There’s a vast difference between Ukraine/Russia and Israel/Arab states. The Arabs openly have declared that they want Israel gone, and multiple attempts have proved that.
The bottom line imo, about this whole thing is that as Ukraine is a sovereign country, it have the right to its own self determination. Yes her history over the past 90 years hasn’t been the greatest. But that doesn’t matter. Ukraine has the right to be free from other countries’ invasion just as every other country in the world does. Period.
But they have no right to NATO forces or American blood. Did you afford the same right to Libya?
I agree that they don’t have the right to NATO FORCES at this time. I never said they did. But they can ask or ask to join and it’s up to NATO if they want them. As far as American blood, that would depend upon any type of treaty there may be. But the treaty with Russia guaranteeing their safety didn’t work too well while Russia still has the nukes gained from that treaty.
My point is that Ukraine is a sovereign nation who has the right to defend itself. As a sovereign country, no other country has the right to invade them. That’s the atrocity.
As far as Libya goes, I didn’t vote for the jerk who set that into motion. But, they didn’t consult me. If they had, I’d have said the same in spite of an intense dislike of Gaddafi, who should have been tried for his part in the Lockerbie Scotland bombing using PanAm flight 103.
For some reason, it seems like realism is frowned upon in foreign policy circles these days. Just keep pumping more and more weapons and eventually — with hope — not certainty that the outcome will change. Defense stocks are on the rise. Is it any wonder?
Of course! Keep swallowing the lies, Stu. Maybe you’ll wake up soon. And these clowns are still running with the nuclear plant story. Yes, the Russian military blows up a plant and irradiates his soldiers — pure genius. Do any of these talking heads even think before opening their mouths?
It’s interesting to watch the Cavuto/Baer/Griffen crowd at FOX get worked up every time Macgregor speaks and opines on the situation and it’s possible causes/consequences… Griffen becomes agitated and almost uncontrollable and spends most of her time denigrating Macgregor… It’s obvious he’s saying something that is getting close to their narrative…
Ever exercised a resistance machine on a no/low-resistance setting? Can’t really drive much power into it, because it’s too easy. Nearly no effort involved.
Ditto PR. How does one push the obvious? It’s obvious; Joe and Karen Blow see it, know it, recognize it, who is there to convince? No one. PR is wasted noise.
Conversely, when one sees PR being peddled madly, one can surmise that the driving influence behind the PR sees a red board of lit up concerns that need to be put down asap. Griffin strikes me that way. US media strikes me that way. The new “cause” being stirred strikes me that way.
Of course, conservatives have been taught to hate certain figures, so they can’t buck both training and the current movement to speak objectively.
Consider this. Hurricane makes landfall and begins to tear up the countryside. One can protest, one can curse, but does one really need to wear on his sleeve that he HATES hurricanes? A more useful fellow would be one who says, “In case of imminent hurricane, do the following to increase odds of better outcome: Step 1 Bail out of town, 2 …, 3…” He need not preface his “bail out” recommendation with the qualifier that he HATES hurricanes before he reminds that it may be best to surrender one’s defiance to nature and take shelter (otherwise be prudent). Yet, that is what commenters of pragmatism encounter: they obviously don’t hate the force of nature reshaping the landscape.
“Schumer told Zelenskyy that Congress will get the $10 billion in economic, humanitarian and security assistance.” The Multiple promises of $Billions to non-Americans are once again emanating from DC
What these profligate big spenders of the people’s money never remind their short term memory voters is that every self-aggrandizing dime they hand out to the world is borrowed money. The tax revenue and other income accumulated by the Fed gov’t doesn’t cover all of the USA’s internal needs so borrowed money or deficit spending even tops that up of course.
Knowledgeable Americans are well aware that as the debt grows so does China’s opportunities to gain supremacy over the USA. They also know that if this borrowing of $trillions every year ever reaches a breaking point, no country in the world will likely be able to or be interested in helping out America.
Imperialist China’s self enriching debt-trap diplomacy provides countries and companies with cheap infrastructure and other loans. But when the loans lead to bankruptcy or a loan default, they seize the assets. When Sri Lanka’s $1 billion debt to China defaulted, Sri Lanka’s Hambantota port was signed over to Beijing on a 99-year lease. How many “free” non repayable donations does the USA give to the world compared to China?
China has massive debt issues of its own. They are in no position to call our bluff on that score
The fascinating part is that when looking at the Map, ALL the cities highlighted were major Operational Objectives of the Germans 1941-43 and Russians (Soviets) in the 1943 Counter Offensive after the battle of Kursk.
They are vital communication nodes needed to secure the Don Regional Basin as well as centers of economic activities in the region. They also control the Dniester River, which runs Northwest to Southeast diagonally across the region.
In a nutshell, the Russians are close to their near term Strategic Objectives. the water issue for the Crimea gets solved by controlling the Dniester River and negotiating water, if the Ukrainians want parts of the Don Basin returned.
And a 100 years from now, when Poland invades, the very same cities will be the operational objectives.
