The Freedom Convoy trucker protest has now expanded and is starting to hit more U.S-Canada border crossings, while the main trucker convoy remains in downtown Ottawa. The Coutts border crossing, between Alberta and Montana, is shut down as truckers have closed every lane.
However, after 12 days of pressure – and a typical Alinsky response from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau – things are beginning to escalate. Now, in Windsor, Ontario, the Ambassador Bridge to Detroit – the busiest land crossing on the U.S-Canada border, has been effectively blocked.
The government of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is starting to panic. “They’re essentially putting their foot on the throat of all Canadians,” Bill Blair, Canada’s minister of emergency preparedness, said Wednesday. “It can’t be allowed to persist.” Yet, the Trudeau government is quickly discovering their biggest Achillies’ heal in this issue. The logistics of trying to forcibly remove the big rigs with tow trucks is a nightmare. Additionally, the tow truck companies are not willing to support the government in a fight against their own profession. In Windsor, Ontario, the Ambassador Bridge to Detroit – the busiest land crossing on the U.S.-Canada border and a vital corridor for the auto industries on both sides – was blockaded by up to 100 people and 75 vehicles, police said Wednesday.

I know people who are very familiar with the Canadian military. The Canadian Armed Forces are going to be extraordinarily careful about getting dragged into this fight as they do not see themselves having any part in it. I would not be surprised at all to find that someone very high up in the CAF has already called the Governor-General to get his, and possibly even the Queen’s, assurance that the CAF’s position of hands-off neutrality has their full support and approval. This is, and remains, a civilian political matter, and the CAF recognizes full well that their position of respect as Canada’s defense force requires them to act only with the support of a large majority of Canadians.

I was talking to my sister tonight, who used to dispatch for a medium-sized tow company. She said that even though they had several tow trucks, none of theirs would have been able to tow one of these. She also said that it is a time-consuming job to get the rig ready to tow WITH the cooperation of it’s driver, and without it (missing keys and tires/restoring purposely disabled vehicles), it would be a nightmare. Her last point was that the truckers are a very tight-knit group, and there would be very few tow companies/drivers willing to get involved. The logistics of the government removing hundreds of trucks (many that have been purposely disabled) is an impossible task. For every truck they towed, no doubt a dozen would move in to replace it. The truckers have ALL the leverage.
A trucker today said they had 3 trucks ready to go for every one that they might lose.
Also saw a vid of tow trucks joining one of the convoys. Can’t remember which area that was.

I am sure any lawsuits so far have not ruled on the merit, but some wishy washy non committal .. I will need to do some research. I know the REAL constitutional challenges are stalled in court. Like I know some people sued Trudeau personally, and these went nowhere.
These failures then of course were reported by the state propaganda channels like CBC as giant victories for vaxx mandates, while they were not. It is just that these people sue’ing were ill prepared and did not help the legal push.
The thing is Trudeau is pretty untouchable as he is using the Provinces.
Then the Provinces use the minions on the ground. For example if you want to fly out and someone checks your vaxx pass, and prohibits you from leaving the country… Then you have to sue the person behind the desk for infringing on your Charter Rights. So that person behind the desk is liable. Not Trudeau. Trudeau plays it smart.. For now.
Some Canadians have filed one-person lawsuits, but to file a constitutional challenge.. It needs to have evidence, witnesses and support. Action4canada case has this, and has one of the best constitutional lawyers on it. Unfortunately constitutional cases take 2-3 years to get a ruling. In general the higher courts in Canada are pretty good at upholding the constitution when it comes to it… But try to get it there.
Until then they have 3 years to make our lives a living hell and by then they probably have their digital ID crap in place as “it is for the greater good”

Also I cannot recall the exact phrasing, but force vaccination is prohibited by Canadian law. There are only two provinces in Canada that say anything about vaccination in their provincial law (I believe it was Manitoba and one other)
But for sure for the Canadian law, next to no mandatory vaxx we have also informed consent, and we have bodily autonomy enshrined in the constitution. Any vax mandate is in conflict with those rights. After all, they are “mandates” not even law, so the Charter of Rights and Constitution trumps them .. always and forever. It is already so, no permission from Trudeau required. No mandate or law can be in conflict with those two documents for Canada will then be Bananada (Banana Republic!)

I have been thinking how thankful I am that the Canadians did this. The logistics were on their side as most of the population of Canada lives within a few miles of that border with the major trading partner and work in industries that supply goods that move across that border. The inclement weather played to their advantage. There are a limited number of highly vulnerable border crossings. The capital city was relatively small without significant industrial base or military presence. The people that live in the capital live in the capital and not in a district plus distributed in three surrounding states. The PM is an idiot, but not senile.
If this had been tried in the USA as an opening shot, none of those advantages existed. They were able to be highly focused and effective.
