Before getting to this soundbite, a note for those who travel the deep weeds. Notice how whenever Fauci is answering questions on COVID subjects that are positive to his worldview, he uses the phrase “we“, including himself in the conduct of health officials. However, whenever Fauci is answering questions that are critical of health officials, he uses the phrase “they“, to distance his role in the decision-making. This is a key ¹*tell* in any conversation with leadership and/or teambuilders.
In this soundbite [full interview here and below], Anthony Fauci notes the CDC guidance on quarantine exit is likely to change, specifically because the feedback from media has been critical. The media have been struggling to support the fear narrative, and the CDC changes are not helping them. As a result, Fauci says the CDC quarantine guidance will change. Not very science-y, huh? WATCH:
Fauci, along with Stephanopoulos, is a big fraud and a narcissistic con artist. Notice in the full interview (below) Stephanopoulos asks if the media should stop focusing on infection rates now. Transparently, the media motive is to stop the criticism of the Biden administration.
Going deeper on the introductory point: Blame-casting is a profoundly negative leadership trait, with horrific consequences. Stable executives, those with extraordinary skills at leading massive institutions, always look for this blame-casting trait when listening to peers, lower-level executives and teambuilders within the organization.
¹The most effective leaders, people of the most consequential influence, listen 95% of the time and speak only about 5% of the time. And when they do speak, the overwhelming majority of that time is simply to ask more questions.
If you want to become a leader of enormous consequence, listen more, speak less, even if that means silence. For those of you who are young in your career, consider this advice for a New Year resolution. It is not easy to listen 90% and talk only 10%. Those who can do it have extraordinary confidence in who they are, confidence expressed with a rare currency of leadership humility.
People who speak less are considered more measured, stable-minded, more thoughtful, contemplative, analytical and more strategic. These are tremendous assets in a large organization. Again, for most people listening is not an easy skill to develop; it takes time, mentorship, a great deal of practice and intense focus at first. However, once you learn how to listen effectively your influence will skyrocket.
Listening is also a strong negotiation skill in both life and business. When you encounter a problem with a product or service, you can watch how powerful it is just by staying silent as soon as both parties understand the problem.
Rather than repeating your argument/position in multiple terms, learn to state your position with clarity and focus, including all the reasons why your position on the issue at hand has merit. THEN SHUT UP, even if you are tempted to speak, even if the reply is nonsense, stay silent. The other party will almost always start speaking again.
As long as you are silent, the other participant is carrying the monkey of the next move in the negotiation or arbitration. If you are forced to break the silence, do so only by asking a question about the position of the other party. Clarify using your words regarding what you just heard, and ask if that is correct. Then, shut up again.
In both large organizations and small teams, those who have either an inherent or learned skill in the art of listening are always the most influential and the most valuable.
For those of you who are employers or already leaders, whenever you hear a person or team-member use “we” when describing positive outcomes and “they” when describing negative ones, do not EVER -regardless of their other skills- consider elevating their leadership in your operation or organization. If you do, you are setting your organization on the path to failure in the long term.
This little pro-tip on listening and speech has been consistently true. However, only a select few people are gifted and/or able to do it.
Here’s the full interview with Fauci:
Garden Gnome One speaks to Garden Gnome Two. Ignore them both. They are ……………wait for it…………garden gnomes.
Fauci seems to be coming down off his high horse. Omicron proves you cannot control an airborne virus. It exposes him as a BS artist.
I never trusted him from the very beginning. I used to watch Trump look at him while he was spewing his BS and I could tell he knew he was spewing BS. Same with Birx-the-scarf lady. I had a friend whom had been my friend for almost 40 years, but when she told me, “I’m with Fauci” that pretty much severed our relationship.
When you can question a hypothesis, you’re participating in “Science”.
When you’re not allowed to question a hypothesis, you’re being subjected to Propaganda.
I got a jury summons yesterday. I waited until today to open it.
They require mandatory temperature screenings and mask wearing, even though my state has passed legislation against mask mandates, and a judge has ruled the mandates unconstitutional and knocked them down. Plus, we are well past when the state AG also ordered an end to mask mandates.
If you have been diagnosed with the CCP Virus within 30 days out from appearance, they do not want you to appear.
I am sick with a chest cold/flu, however I am not going to a doctor for an excuse or tracking, and I will not be tested by a fake test for someone to tell me I have the latest fake moronic omicron CCP variant. I am on day 4 of my flu/chest cold. BTW, oddly there has been no fever with this flu.
Go. Be a jury of your peers. Someone needs you.
What if you never received the summons?
In my county if you fail to show up they will first try to call you. If they cannot contact you they will take out a bench warrant for your arrest.
The last time I received a summons for jury duty, I went to the courthouse and was not needed (I love when the perps change their plea to guilty) and was sent home. Some time later I got a call telling me I was about to be arrested for not showing up. Fortunately I had requested, and received, a statement of attendance for my employer. The clerk didn’t even apologize.
Whenever I see Gaddafi’s bloodied and battered face, I think of the Democrats. I don’t know why that is…
You’re projecting a healthy fantasy onto today’s Children of Moloch.
I like your thinking!
I think of the photo of the dead Ambassador Stevens being dragged through the streets of Benghazi! Same Democrats same outcome!
To borrow from the late, great El Rushbo, a better name for the interviewer is Steffi Graph.
…as far as he pretends to discuss “data”…
Sure do miss him. It was the first Christmas w/out him for his family, guessing it was pretty tough. I know I missed him on the radio this season. I get Charlie Kirk in my area, and he ain’t cutting it.
I know, right? I really enjoyed Michael Berry last week, but every time they played that bumper music I pounded my chair, yelling “I WANT RUSH!”😩
Darn Mannheim Steamroller! Yuck! Loved Rush, missed him terribly this past year, and even missed that awful bumper music! 😭

Been using the browser since 2015, and Search from about a month ago. I like it.
Same here. Got tired of trying to read something, but having the screen jump to an add, then another add, then another add, then……..
Pearls of leadership from Sundance: “whenever you hear a person or team-member use “we” when describing positive outcomes and “they” when describing negative ones, do not EVER -regardless of their other skills- consider elevating their leadership in your operation or organization.”
Thank you, Sundance!!
Also watch for when “I” turns into “we”. Sundance seems to have good people skills.
Sundance is light years ahead of the competition. Some day, they catch up and invent an appropriate award for that. Until then, carry on Sir Sundance! Awesome is not a good enough adjective! Maybe Tubular?
I’m a pastor, and I’ve taught/preached on this subject, using the examples of King Saul vs. King David.
Saul:
1Samuel 15:13-15 When Samuel reached him, Saul said, “The LORD bless you! I have carried out the LORD’s instructions.”
But Samuel said, “What then is this bleating of sheep in my ears? What is this lowing of cattle that I hear?”
Saul answered, “The soldiers brought them from the Amalekites; they spared the best of the sheep and cattle
David:
2Samuel 12:13 Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.”
Such a sad little man.
Sad? No. Not enough self awareness to either be sad or elicit pity. Evil.
“the media should stop focusing on infection rates”
The government and it’s agents were the ones “focusing on infection rates”, or more accurately false positive PCR test numbers. The media was just reporting what they were told by the government and it’s agents.
The government was reporting these numbers to terrify it’s citizens, likely for some political purpose.
By the way, terrifying people in order to achieve a political purpose is the basic definition of terrorism.
The media were very comfortable reporting all the numbers during PDJT’s tenure. In fact, they reveled in them…
Beelzebull…Lord of the Lies.
PCR tests can stay positive for up to 12 weeks
Revisiting New Rule on Asymptomatic People Not Requiring a Test after 5 Days Because of “Pushback”????
Not revisiting because of “SCIENCE” ????
SCIENCE – SCIENCE – SCIENCE!
Right, garden gnome?
Oh, because it was never about the “SCIENCE” in the first place. Got it.
I’ve had the flu dozens of times in my life and have never been tested once. There is no need to ever be tested. If you’re sick stay home until you’re better. 100% chance of survival. People dying have other issues just like when they die of pneumonia and flu.
Garden Gnome isn’t quite there yet, how about lawn jockey?
How about imp?
Clearly missing the competent, rational, unclogged plus add in the paranoid cognitively dissonant impaired,
Who would rather sit at home and/or stand in a rona2 test line yes “Houston we got a problem.”
Always see the posts saying that PDJT should have fired Fauci. Then the replies that this would have caused an enormous backlash and possibly another impeachment.
Here’s my two cents. What Trump should have done is dowsed Fauci’s fire by including him as part of a large joint commission responsible for the public response. On that panel of decision makers he could have included people like Malone, McCullough, Simone Gold, Kory, Zelenko and many others. Outnumber the Fraudsters. Relegate him into being a small fish in a big pond. He would have wasted more time with infighting than dictating. Perhaps that would have given a platform for all the studies that don’t support the narrative.
Trump had no problem firing James Comey on national TeeVee. Wish he had dumped Mini-Mengele. I also wish Trump would surround himself w/normal people that are light years ahead of the MSM and his inner circle when it comes to certain topics.
This is not a clear assessment. Your judgment of honesty and integrity allows use of 18+ months of time to see and validate all the players. Trump had no time, no manipulation free data, and an entire govt of corrupt players all lying to him. All the while he’s dealing with half dozen other corrupt institutional attacks on America and him of significant importance.
Think about who Fauci represents. These are evil psychopaths willing to kill children, spread out in every branch of power. All are smooth, charming liers that know how to read and manipulate people. Who do you trust? How much time do you have to decide? What do you do if you find out you were wrong? When do you find out you are wrong? What will happen if you correct the mistake? Is that acceptable NOW?
Steve Bannon has talked of the Faustian bargains Trump was forced to make before inauguration because Trump didn’t have enough people he could trust to place in every leadership role in the government. He had to chose key roles to out in folks he trusted, then guess who to trust that lived among the swamp for the rest. Do you honestly think it was different when covid-19 took center stage?
The people at the top of these corrupt institutions are both amazingly convincing and evil. They didn’t get there by chance; they were chosen by skills to keep the corruption going.
Before you start chanting Trump was dumb, put yourself in his shoes and note the limits of his knowledge and available resources to solve ALL the problems of that moment in time.
Don’t use what you know now from your 18+ month of undistracted study of covid-19 and the players as a basis for what he “should” have known or done back then. He didn’t know that then. YOU didn’t know that back then. It was essentially unknown to outsiders at that time. And Trump was an outsider.
A man can only do so much at one time. He can only judge character by what he’s experienced in life and with those he seeks to evaluate, perhaps augmented by evaluations from those he trusts. But in government leadership of thousands, who do you trust in a crisis with no personal experience with the players and critical decisions to be made on little information in short time frames?
Do not over simplify the magnitude of what PDJT faced, essentially alone. Remember what was known and unknown, the size of the enemy, the willingness to use every lever of government power against Trump and the American people.
Which battle do you pick? Which hill do you die on? How can you decide?
Thank you for the history lesson. Hindsight is always 20/20 or better.
Very much Appreciate this from your comment.
“Which battle do you pick? Which hill do you die on? How can you decide?”
This 18 plus months down the road, have given many an insight into the morass of the Swamp.
Superb idea. Of course, Malone and McCullough have only been visible in the last 4 months… But a very good idea in general.
If a panel of McCullough, Gold, Zelenko, etc. were given a national stage, then the idea the world had to wait for a ‘vaccine’ would have been endangered.
If therapeutics were available and deemed effective, the Emergency Use Authorization for the ‘vaccines’ would evaporate. That should have happened but didn’t, the question is why?
Why….is always money.
Money and/or Power
Agenda for completing the Globalists Reset plan.
Because nobody’s gonna get rich on therapeutics.
I think Fauci looks like someone who knows the game is over. He is going to lose, like a cornered rat he is trying to plan an escape.
Along with his filthy lucre.
3Mike, w due respect, this Italian dwarf has 0 fear because he knows he’ll never b prosecuted for his crimes and will receive $350k annum, the highest fed pension of any govt lackey … he needs no escape plan.
take a good look at Fauci,to me he looks like a rat.
We had a simple saying in advertising, ‘don’t put legs on the snake’ and as a teacher, ‘there’s a reason you have two ears and only one mouth’.

Reminds me of Charlie Brown, wah, wah, blah, blah, blah. He is talking out his arse and just making crap up. I can only imagine how pee-od they are that there is so much push back to their scam. It wasn’t supposed to be like this, EVERYONE was going to be thrilled to get vaxx’d so we could all get back to normal.
Hey Sundance…. Maybe do one of your reconnaissance postings. In the past 2 days, I’ve texted with 3 couples (no relation to each other) who have come down with Delta. Am hearing there are No monoclonal antibodies in the Phoenix area.
TPTB are trying punish maskless/no lockdown/no mandate/free/election audit states by withdrawing MA. Florida, too. AZ is an audit state.
I think it is all part of the scam and a tactic to ramp up hospitalization and deaths so they can extend the “emergency” later this month. Denying treatment early in accomplished much the same ramping up of fear in the sheep.
I think they expected us to react the same to case count for omicron as we did previously. Except too many people are aware now that the case count isn’t the true measure to fear. And too many experts like Malone and McCullough and the front line doctors are sharing the truthful science of virology (mutations becoming more contagious and less dangerous).
No plan B for Americans because of our second amendment.
Desperation will show soon…
I looked up NAPOLEON COMPLEX – it just had a photo of Fauxci
“It’s dangerous to predict”. Jeez. That’s all they have done is predict and be wrong for the last two years. The narrative has fallen apart. No one is listening anymore except the sheep. Fauci should be on trial for crimes against humanity. FJB
“No one is listening anymore except the sheep” which number over 200 million.
SD-“The most effective leaders, people of the most consequential influence, listen 95% of the time and speak only about 5% of the time. And when they do speak, the overwhelming majority of that time is simply to ask more questions.”
Assuming sundance was including political leaders, I wonder how he rates President Trump’s leadership style. It should be noted that the ideal percentages of listening and speaking would vary widely especially with PT who was being constantly attacked and as a result verbally defending himself almost every day.
This was a deliberate Dem tactic with many purposes including requiring PDJT to constantly respond to the attacks publicly. The harshness of some of his defensive positions likely irritated and turned off the hypersensitive types, esp. those that watch the MSM.
I read that Pres. Trump was a listener in all his policy meetings and then he made the final decision in the end. I think Navarro or Bannon said that. We saw speeches…..big difference.
Trump was leading in two fronts. The public front was a strategy to minimize the media and visible obstruction. The private front was the thoughtful leadership. How many leaked videos showed compassion, thoughtfulness, listening, and learning?
Being POTUS is complicated. We see 5% of it.
If that much.
When “National Institute of Health” leader is more concerned about vaccines than personal health he is way off the rails. CDC does that.
We really need to streamline these Agencies.
Ultimate streamline = eliminated
One of the observations echoed by many meeting Donald Trump for the first time remark on how intently he LISTENS to people, giving them his full attention.
The mere image of this midget is revolting. He’s a lying liar with no shame. What a miserable small thing he is.
Can you imagine the basketball team that the Democommunist Party can throw at us. The 5’6″ Fauxchi, the 5’5″ Steponallofus and 5’3″ F Cuck Todd.
Not sure who’s my favorite deranged evil scumbag COVID ‘expert’.
Is it Fauci, such a narcissist putz that he throws out the first pitch even though he throws like a little girl who had her pitching hand bitten off.
Is it Leanna Wenn, the CCP plant with the vocal affectations of a female george takei?
Is it the bowtie idiot, the cardiologist idiot, Sanjay Gupta, gypsy lady welensky, folk singing Francis collins…
Is Dr. Oz on your list?
Is this the democrat “short men” problem? It describes Fauci to a T!
Short-man syndrome is REAL: Scientists confirm smaller men act more aggressively to make up for their lack of height.
It seems short men really do act more aggressively than their peers to make up for their small stature.
Researchers used a money sharing conundrum, dubbed the Dictator Game, which tests how fairly individuals treat others.
It typically consists of two individuals, with one given a quantity of money which they must offer a portion of to a rival – even if the amount is zero.
They found that smaller men responded more aggressively when competing in the psychological test – so long as there were no repercussions.
Scientists say this means the phenomenon, known as short-man syndrome, or the Napoleon Complex, is real.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-5718081/Scientists-confirm-short-man-syndrome-REAL.html
“short men really do act more aggressively than their peers”
Tall people thinking they are short people’s peers is not the problem?
When a taller Billy Bad Azz comes up to start some crap and the short guy just hauls off and bloodies his nose right up front without warning makes him the one that is more aggressive?
Jerks come in all sizes. Walk away.
terrific article. just one little thing –
” ¹The most effective leaders… ”
is that a footnote?
if so, where is it?
going crazy looking for it!😂😂
please forgive my OCD!
I think Little Tony is weary because the corporate class has made it clear that they are not going to lose their businesses over this charade. The discontent of the working class with the inoculation has filtered up and has gummed up the gears.
The corporate class initially supported the vaccine, not because Covid was deadly, but because it was a LONG illness. The regular flu lasts about a week at most. Covid can go a month or more. That’s lots of missed work and sick leave, which affects the bottom line. A working vaccine means a lot less missed time.
An experimental flu shot that only lasts 2 months was not what the corporations were bargaining for. Omicron has blown to smithereens any notion of efficacy and the corporate heads are pissed. Their vaxxed employees are primarily the ones getting sick and they know it. But the Biden administration and Little Tony are demanding that the vaxx program continue, even as the vaxxed are pushing the sick leave count higher and higher.
What we are seeing is Little Tony and “Brandon” trying desperately to keep their vaxx agenda going while giving enough short term relief to companies to keep them afloat–and from filing suit. So, the traitors in high places double and triple down on us while modifying what small thing they can to keep major corporate players from going after them.
Short walk, long pier.
Thank you Sundance!
Agree 1000% with tell of “we” vs “they”. I see it every day in my job
I have my annual performance review on Tuesday. Boss wrote the i need to listen 80% and talk 20%. This was only feedback I didn’t understand so planned to ask him for clarification. No need to now as your post explains exactly the sore spot in my interactions with the leadership team.
THANK YOU!
But also … the “gems” that Sundance has embedded in this post are also a key reason why PDJT was (and still is) “a fundamentally transformational President.” Because he implicitly understands and then leverages these principles – having already written about them in a number of excellent books.
No one in Washington, DC has, or has ever had, business negotiation(!!) experience. If any one of them had ever faced-off with this man in any real-estate deal, they would have perished. 🤡
Therefore, “they were clueless,” and BTW they still are. More than anything else, “this is why they still fear this man.” He has something they do not – something that an entire lifetime of public grifting will never bring them.
P.S.: I’ve got every book in hardback.
You notice during any televised congressional committee investigation, the pols do nothing but yammer on…
It would seem that Fauci is a spokespuppet for one faction that is at odds with whatever faction is controlling the CDC spokespuppet.
It would also seem that Fauci doesn’t realize he is a mere puppet and not an actual intellectual scientist.
Because he doesn’t realize he’s not really in charge of anything, he is surprised that there would be pushback.of any kind from anyone.
INTELLECT?
The media have been the main directors of this event since March 2020 when Trump began his pressers.
they say “we want everyone to wear masks”
they say “we need more ventilators”
they say “we need more tests”
they say “we need vaccines”
they say “ we need lockdowns and vaccine passports”
they say “ this week, we need quarantine to be ———days”
They are in charge!
Using the “we” when preening about the team’s accomplishments, and then switching to “they” when deflecting his failures is cowardice.
First and foremost, Fauci is a coward, then a bully. But many cowards are bullies, and all bullies are cowards…
Just hang his azz already…
Fauci is not only “…a big fraud and a narcissistic con artist,” he is a criminal and entirely lacks any sense of ethics and morals.
Read “The Real Anthony Fauci” to understand.
Fauci proves this was never about “science”. Only political science.
Insightful comments on leadership. Fauci is the sort of leader only successful (as in remaining in power) in a bureaucracy.
I keep hearing this little voice in my head that says “The only thing to fear is FEAR itself” It appears that this is what most of the Nation is suffering from. Don’t remember who said it but remember it was in History class. Something we no longer have. This is what the Dems want. A Nation in FEAR. Unfortunately some in my family are falling for it. An Indiana Insurance Co. says the Death claims are 40% and not among the elderly. They said all of the Insurance Co. are seeing the same thing. When are these Govt Frauds going to be charged with murder?
FDR
Mark Levin explains a lot of this in his new book. If they tear down our country they win.
It is likely they will change course on fearmongering “cases” when we get to spring so that when they focus on deaths and hospitalizations it will look as if they performed some miracle covid cure just in time for election efforts.
Great commentary SD.
If you hear they/we a lot in a large organization, consider a better talent manager that has a lot of experience listening and asking questions so you can avoid a bad hire.
An old mentor put it to me like this…
“TJ, you’re a smart guy, but you have to learn to listen, before you can listen to learn.”
It may sound cynical, arrogant, or insulting at first, but it’s not. People who don’t listen, don’t have a lot of empathy in my experience, regardless of their glittering generalities.
When your listening(generally speaking) pay attention to attenuation as well. If you can listen with your eyes, body language is another communication skill that you can learn as a tool in understanding people.
Thanks for bringing it up. Lots of passive-aggressive people out there probably don’t realize when they’re doing it, but if they find themselves angry all the time, it could be their social milieu. I find asking people how much time they spend on social media a good ice breaker. YMMV.
he still dresses the way his mommy wanted him dressed. logically none of this corona stuff should be happening. think about the number of people and the entrained sycophants that have made this happen. and the number of spineless jellyfish that don’t want to make waves. then think about what it must take to end it. we are in a very serious period. joe mcarthy was right and so was senator charles lindburgh, among others.
