As a person with no redeeming qualities, the DC swamp is about the only place where her unlikable lawfare skills still have some marketing viability.
As the Washington Post notes, Cheney is desperate to attach some element of criminal lawbreaking to President Trump. Cheney was pointing to a specific criminal statute — a felony, 18 U.S. Code § 1512 — that she suggests President Donald Trump violated.
Cheney’s comment matches the language of the statute. It states, “Whoever corruptly … obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding, or attempts to do so, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.” That law defines an “official proceeding” as including “a proceeding before the Congress.”

I think that agent provocateurs were egging the innocents on. I think they were FBI undercover and likely antifa.

She makes the case for my argument that the Political elites are insane.
Three criterion for insanity are engaging in behavior which is contrary to an indivuduals own self-interest and well being, engaging in behavior that is harmful to others well being, and exibiting, by their behavior, that they have lost contact with reality.
Seems obvious she is running hard to be the “Great White Hope” candidate to “save the Republican Party” from those awful “Trump” supporters.
Due to loss of cantact with reality, she doesn’t see that her actions are counter-productive. Tucker points out that reading the text messages of Fox people to Meadows, directly refutes her own case.
“Fanatacism consists of redoubling your effort, while forgetting your aim.”
We are reaching a “tipping point” where the Political elites FEEL their grip on power slipping, and they are in the unenviable position that the harder they try to hold on, their efforts to hold on actually accelerate the slippage.
Lizzie, and this whole J6 “insurrection” hearing, are a prime example of this.
From a standpoint of their own interests, they would be “better off” DROPPING it, saying nothing about it, and “moving on”.
Leave the prisoners in jail, or quietly resolve the cases through the Courts.
Allow the “story” to drop into a memory hole, and their false narrative, of J6 as an “insurrection” to become a part of the historical narrative.
With their near absolute control of media and Big tech censorship, they certainly COULD do this, “take the win, and get off the field”, and simply dismiss any alt media refuting of their false narrative as “Conspiracy theory”.
But, as with the Second Impeachment (Ukraine fiasco) once ON the path, once the plan is initiated, they simply can’t let it go.
Their fear and flop sweat is palpable, as is their OVER-REACH, the abusive treatment of the J6 prisoners an unfortunate but clear example.
So much of their tactics and strategies, that have enabled them to get as far as they have, were all utterly dependant on an electorate that was asleep, not paying attention, and so easily misled.
Hence, the tactics and strategies they have become utterly reliant on to retain Power, simply aren’t working any more.
And they are like someone endlessly flicking a light switch, that operates a burned out light bulb.
They have no idea, WHAT to do, …like the Father in the movie Pleasantville, walking thru the empty house saying “Honey, I’m HOME!,…WHERE’S my dinner!” with no idea how to cook his own dinner.
I know a lot of people will get offended but I simply see Chaney as one of the few honest Republicans that say the quiet part out loud.
She is what the party actually represents and functions as vs what the party largely wants to project it’s self as. It’s an inconvenient truth in messaging.
The party hasn’t been conservative in several decades after it was largely taken over by the 1960’s-70’s influx of progressive democratic neocon defectors…
Conservatives would do much better in recognizing that for what it is vs being toyed with. Most however don’t have the ability to connect the party’s actions vs the onslaught of propaganda and talking points. We’re too easily manipulated.
Cheney should look to her own abuse of power. Congress does not have authority to conduct a grand jury investigation.
I for the life of me do not understand why that squish McCarthy does not eject her and Kinzinger from the party NOW! Yes I know I answered my own question i.e. squish.
Wondering now if releasing and ‘reframing’ the texts from Laura Ingraham and Sean Hannity is the excuse Fox will use to not renew contracts, as SD has said is coming.
The FBI already stated there was no conspiracy. This is to make people think they didn’t conspire to pull off January 6, which is the opposite of what Trump supporters wanted on that day.
She finally pissed off Hannity enough to start talking about January 6. Hannity said that there were ropes and climbing equipment set up prior to January 6 so that people could climb up the building. Did the Trump supporters do that on the way back from the president’s speech?

Here is an excellent article on Genie Energy and D.C. corruption. The American principals were/are Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld. They are part of the legacy corruption in our federal government and the daughter Liz, I am sure, has benefited from this criminal activity. Perhaps she is not involved in the conspiracy but I can assure you she realizes something is peculiar about the Israeli Oil money that she receives on a regular basis.

Liz Cheney knows she can be as spiteful as she wants to be. There will be no accountability for her. She knows because she was there at the pinnacle of GOP power structure. She knows none of those balls-less geezers will do a thing to her for all this.
I feel sorry for her children. Can you imagine what Liz is like at home? She is self-destructing politically and personally. Her hatred for President Trump is eating her up. It is sad to see how she has changed. She used to be on the Sunday shows and was fairly affable. She has changed so much. It is obvious she is mad because Trump criticized the war in Iraq which was necessarily criticism of her father. One insight into her personality is that at one time, she told the long-standing Senator Enzi that she would not run against him in a primary. Enzi was shocked when she broke her word. She eventually had to apologize and pull out of the primary.
