CTH had originally reported on this stunning story back in June [SEE HERE]. After previously refusing to fire the FBI agents involved in the case, today FBI Director Chris Wray finally said he fired the main FBI agent, Michael Langeman, responsible for facilitating the abuse of young female gymnasts. During his testimony before congress Wray stated: “I want to begin by saying to the brave women who testified this morning … I’m deeply and profoundly sorry to each and every one of you.” {link}
BACKSTORY – An absolutely damning Inspector General investigation released in June, reflected horrific FBI conduct in the rape and sexual assault of U.S. Gymnasts revealing how FBI agents facilitated Larry Nassar’s sex crimes by taking no action despite numerous witness statements to them.
Worse yet, the FBI never reported the sexual assaults to local law enforcement… and to top it off, the FBI agents lied during the investigation of their conduct, and the DOJ under AG Bill Barr refused to prosecute the FBI liars.
The entire IG report [Must Read pdf Here] reveals layer-upon-layer of FBI wrongdoing, misconduct and false statements in an effort to cover-up their activity when the internal investigation of their conduct began. This report is a total condemnation of the FBI rank and file. It really is quite stunning.
IG Report Excerpt – […] “The OIG found that, despite the extraordinarily serious nature of the allegations and the possibility that Nassar’s conduct could be continuing, senior officials in the FBI Indianapolis Field Office failed to respond to the Nassar allegations with the utmost seriousness and urgency that they deserved and required, made numerous and fundamental errors when they did respond to them, and violated multiple FBI policies.
The Indianapolis Field Office did not undertake any investigative activity until September 2nd, five weeks after the meeting with USA Gymnastics—when they telephonically interviewed one of the three athletes. Further, FBI Indianapolis never interviewed the other two gymnasts who they were told were available to meet with FBI investigators.
This absence of any serious investigative activity was compounded when the Indianapolis Field Office did not transfer the matter to the FBI office (the Lansing Resident Agency), where venue most likely would have existed had evidence been developed to support the potential federal crimes being considered, even though the Indianapolis office had been advised to do so by the USAO and had told USA Gymnastics that the transfer had occurred.
Additionally, the Indianapolis office did not notify state or local authorities of the sexual assault allegations even though it questioned whether there was federal jurisdiction to pursue them. As a result, the Lansing Resident Agency did not learn of the Nassar allegations until over a year after they were first reported to the FBI and then learned of them only from the MSUPD.
Moreover, the FBI conducted no investigative activity in the matter for more than 8 months following the September 2015 interview. During that period of time, as alleged and detailed in numerous civil complaints, Nassar’s sexual assaults continued.” (read full report)
Do not overlook this part:
The FBI originally responded to the IG report with this statement:
FBI Response to IG – “As the Inspector General made clear in today’s report, this should not have happened. The FBI will never lose sight of the harm that Nassar’s abuse caused. The actions and inactions of certain FBI employees described in the report are inexcusable and a discredit to this organization. The FBI has taken affirmative steps to ensure and has confirmed that those responsible for the misconduct and breach of trust no longer work FBI matters.
Prior to today, the FBI initiated improvements to make sure that serious allegations, such as these, are promptly shared with our law enforcement partners and within the FBI. As a continuation of these efforts, the FBI is fully committed to implementing all of the recommendations made by the Inspector General.
We will take all necessary steps to ensure that the failures of the employees outlined in the report do not happen again.” (link)
FBI rank and vile are Hannity’s BFF
Didn’t Trey Gowdy also unconditionally praise the FBI “Rank and File” many times?
When will these politicians and so-called conservative talk show hosts wise up about the FBI?
Shocked anyone listens to or watches the “Rooster”…
How many of these “rank & file”FBI pedophile enablers – also ignored mass murdering Muslims – too?!
see, he is a “Hannitizer” too!
:0)
just like they are using FBI background checks for “their kind” of people all throughout the federal bureaucracy, the same thing to staff up the agents…it is as corrupted as the rest of the federal government
Need to start calling all of the agencies, in fact the whole works needs to be called feral….without a capital letter.
When we get conservative politicians and talk show host that aren’t up to there azz in it themselves?
“Wise up” ??
These types ain’t gonna wise up, they don’t feel like they need to wise up.
They need to be hung up by the neck till dead.
Gowdy is a big phony who let the looting of the Libyan armories aka “Benghazi” (with the weapons to be shipped to Obama/Biden’s CIA terrorists Al-Cia-Duh and ISIS murdering innocent people in Syria & Iraq etc) be swept under the rug. See Glen Beck’s “Libya:The Real Story”
When Kompromat is no more.
How about NEVER? They make good talking points to their watchers. Keeps them from getting fired from their cable networks…..or ‘otherwise’ networks.
finally just checking out this news through CTH, sparing myself Hannity’s treatment of the FBI . . .
I just thought of a word, “Hannitizing” . . . when Hannity “sanitizes” the FBI and talks about all those good people that we never see blow the whistle on anyone!
Hannity is a total farce. It’s only a handful that are corrupt, the other 1% are dedicated agents.
Hannity only cares about Hannity, he’s useless
Sean Vannity is an agent of the Deep State
After all of this has been examined in the useless hearings, will our Congress finally just DEFUND the FBI? It needs to happen and the agency must be dissolved. There has never been a need for it, anyway. It accomplished nothing except by entrapment by UC agents working with informants, as in the Michigan case and the “insurrection.”
Congress will of course protect and defend the FBI, after all they are the “attack dogs” of the Speaker of the House.
Short answer – – – NO.
Is it just me, or do the commenters here have a certain bias in need of training? /sarc
As in incorrigible? I resemble that.
(A Three Stooges rimshot, but a good one.)
You mean are we incorrigible? Another short answer – – – yes. :0)
Mr. Wray has no credibility. He has done more damage to the FBI with his lack of leadership and agents who spend more time setting crimes up than solving them to speak out about anything.
He has the look and weak character of one who might like to abuse his power with youngsters also. Just sayin.
Bongo corrupted the FBI and every agency.
So did Bill Clinton.
Definitely.
Billy has always been cozy with China. Especially when it comes to missile, computer, and satellite Tech.
and based on today’s news, if we get nuked, the missiles might be launched by nuclear submarines given to Australia by Biden.
Didn’t Billy Boy also give chine “most favored nation” status? Or am I mistaken?
he is such a creep . . . that dullard pothead . . . I have heard that if you smoke too much pot, it can make you paranoid
It started long before Obama.
FBI Director William Sessions was investigating DOJ corruption in connection with an Iraq bank. President GHW Bush and AG Bill Barr were quick to file ethics charges against Sessions to try and force him out.
The charges carried over and Clinton forced Sessions out and brought in Louis Freeh. After Freeh was confirmed, H. Clinton soon received a bunch of FBI files from Craig Livingstone.
Since then, it’s been Meuller, Comey, Wray at FBI.
I remember, and two terms by Buraq didn’t help either.
Cesar Sayoc.
I want to see a reexamination of the Cesar Sayoc case.
The problem is not lack of leadership
The problem is corruption and wrongdoing, the FBI isn’t working to help America.
It’s working to help itself
The DOJ and FIB are thoroughly corrupt, it is not reparable. Frankly the FIB needs to be dismantled and never reassembled. I assume we need a DOJ? But if we do I don’t know how you fix it.
Country existed for about 100 years before we created the DOJ.
I think the scandals that happened under President Grant were the justification.
So no, it isn’t needed.
Unless President Grant is re-elected.?
Otherwise… nah.
so who at the top was allowing and condoning these atrocities?
And who was the director of the FBI in 2015-2016 when this was going on?
Oh, wait! Wasn’t it James Comey?
Hard to imagine, isn’t it?
It was first reported in July 2015 so it was also not investigated during the incompentency of Jeff Sessions. (Yeah, I hold a grudge)
Big question for me is, what was the blackmail used to get Howdy Doody Jeff Sessions to recuse himself from a fake Russia collusion psy-op the day after DJT appointed him?
They need a new FBI director. Chris Wray isn’t a very good actor.
The best Just-Us department that money can buy.
“declined to prosecute”
Just like Wolfe, Hillary, and many others. It’s a big club, and you ain’t in it!
it all almost didn’t start right here (why does she always find herself backpedaling??)
she wanted to slap his wrist, then excused herself with technicalities.
Rachael Denhollander says Whitmer’s office declined to prosecute Nassar – mlive.com
Hey OIG, I have a long, long list of federal crimes not looked into, centering in and around the November 2020 election. Last I heard you hadn’t looked into any of that yet either. A sign of yet further abuse against the good citizens who pay your paychecks.
When are we going to get an investigation and report on that?
You are hitting on the reason for this ‘apology.’ They sure do pick and choose, don’t they? What a bunch of hooey. Wray makes me sick, along with this corrupt scumbag agency. This mea culpa is vomit inducing and would be laughable if it wasn’t so pathetic and agenda driven.
Maybe we could get John Durham to do one of those years long investigations. Lol
NBC could report on it.
OOPSY, they forgot to powder that John Boehner Nose…
You know the answer to that one……NEVER.
More ethics training?
Totally rotten from the Director down to the newest employee. The only thing that will improve the agency is to dismantle it (fire everybody) and create a new one with stricter Congressional and CITIZEN oversight, with the citizen oversight having the final say.
Choose the citizens at random from each House district for a total of 435.
“Alswaleed, you tell me, I’ll start” (shooting into the crowd)…
Sounds about right.
Thats what the criminal FBI was trying to do at Garland Tx.
They’ve Done This Before: Five Past Cases of FBI Incitement
https://www.revolver.news/2021/06/five-cases-of-fbi-incitement/
Got another one coming up on the 19th have’t we?
The Indianapolis field office (quite removed from DC) couldn’t be bothered to investigate these allegations? Or even punt and send it over to another field office that may have had jurisdiction?
There’s lazy, and then there’s Federal Bureau of Investigation lazy.
If you had any human compassion, wouldn’t you be concerned if someone came to you and told you about a rape or the rape of their child? …. if you had any human compassion.
Strange Wray pretzel statement – “those responsible … no longer work FBI matters “… no longer work FBI matters .?. what does that mean ? Transferred to mail room ? BTW so totally CYA when they realized the sh-t had hit the proverbial fan – immediately went into CYA mode – I’m surprised ( sarcasm) That the late 302 interview form mentioned by witness didn’t claim she had lied in her interview ( a bridge to far , but I’m sure that occurred to them as a possibility ) -don’t worry nothing will change – the FBI is a mess .
Will Wray break down sobbing and cry crocodile tears? I wouldn’t trust the FBI to do anything ethical, lawfully, or with integrity. I’ve seen too much; or rather, haven’t seen them do anything to give confidence they would behave honorably.
Remember Epstein?, you know the guy who didn’t kill himself? We saw the FBI on drone video footage raiding his island home. Remember they put curtains and cardboard on the windows so no one would see? And not a word about what they found.
And Killary’s bathroom server? Oh and they couldn’t figure out the Russian “collusion” in a timely fashion?
Oh please, I could go on and on and on but I’m sure you can add failures that come to mind as well.
Disgusting.
Will somebody please tell talking head Sean Hannity over at fake FOX news that the highly vaunted FBI suffers from systemic corruption including the rank and file.
This lawless organization needs to be disbanded immediately. Anyone that has committed crimes needs to be prosecuted. And any doj member that refuses to do that, be charged as well. I don’t care if every damn employee is charged. If that’s what it takes, then so be it.
Wary him self need get fire, wary is nothing But deep state coups,
I bet ol’Chris will have his boys out in the woods doing ropes courses and falling over backwards hoping their fellow agents will catch them.
Nothing like a little team building and a day off of work to help stop sexual abuse
Wray has made this statement of “fixing the FBI” for years now.
I get so sick of this BS coming out of the FBI. Back in the day I worked with some very fine agents. Are there any left????
Doesn’t seem so.
Another fine outstanding Trump pick.
I’ve always gotten the feeling there is a larger story here, one that will never be known.
We have the following elements present:
-Transportation of sexually abused minors across state and national lines. The abuse may not have happened across such lines, and the transportation may not have been to facilitate abuse. However, the two elements are both present and it is hard to believe they did not overlap.
-Systemic sexual abuse within high-level youth sports; this is not the first time such crimes have happened.
-The Los Angeles FBI Field Office dragging its feet over “sex tourism” jurisdiction, then failing to notify local authorities of their investigations.
This point needs emphasis. “Sex Tourism” requires more than one perpetrator. “Sex tourism” is not a blue-collar crime. The implication here is that Nassar and his victims were tied into a larger ring with wealthy clients, a ring centered in the world’s entertainment capital where there are thousands of at-risk minors.
-An FBI “investigation” whose only result was a cover-up of FBI activity and the punishment of no one.
Reading between the lines here, there probably is an international sex trafficking ring based in Los Angeles involving, but not limited to, international youth sports.
Part of the ring became compromised, and, for unknown reasons, the FBI actively resisted prosecuting it. Perhaps FBI “assets” would have been implicated. Perhaps the investigation was closing in on certain areas of the sports-entertainment industry or specific celebrities the FBI wanted to shield. Whatever the reasons were, they were not good.
Wray can’t prosecute his own guys, they know too much.
So rogue agents doing side deals is now normal. Drugs, prostitution, child trafficking… you name it.
Just like the Mafia.
Have you ever read about the baby sitter serial rapist and Comey’s story of his involvement?
The CORRUPT FBI needs to be dissolved and thrown in the trash heap of history. TOTAL LOSERS and DEFILERS of America.
Whatever purpose the FBI may have had in serving our nation, it no longer serves any purpose but for serving our ruling elite.
Wray is trash. A true Woke believer and not a patriot in the least. He ancestors would be reviled by him.
Chris Wray’s remorse don’t mean sh!t. It only provides CYA for members of Congress on the committee.
And we were told Bill Barr was a serious lawyer when he got the AG job. B as in B and S as in S. A serious defender of the swamp.
Watching items such as these come through day-by-day leaves me with the impression that for long, and excluding until now the military, USG agencies and branches must suffer these indignities, these self-disgraces, because they have so long tolerated such behaviors that decent people would not think to apply for employment with them.
I know it is long that way with the churches. No theologian or pastor today would think to serve in the parish church of a mainline denomination or in a so-called super-church. That leaves only con artists, charlatans, and businessmen willing to fill not only the pastorates and teaching / music roles but also the parish councils, by whatever name they are called. Now, businessmen per se conduct an honorable role in society. But as clergy, no.
And look who teaches /admins at public schools, colleges, and universities. Again, people of the worst sort, and for the same reason: what genuine teacher wants to serve in a sewer, can serve in a sewer?
Ditto law. The genuine attorneys are NOT on K Street, not in big law, not high-profile, not attention-or money-hogs. Leaving what we see as lawyers to, again, pretenders and scum to fill roles in an otherwise legitimate profession.
I think this general and accelerating unavailability of professional service starts in the religious institutions. Leaders there lost faith in themselves and their faith and / or allowed themselves to be overwhelmed by bumptious grifters. They passed on their faithlessness to their congregants. Now, therefore, so-called religious institutions pump toxic bilge into society as gayly as do schools and governments.
What I would do and recommend doing is (1) abandon the religious institutions, all of them, all religions, (2) sell their properties for commercial development, and (3) open on said lands or elsewhere prayer halls for all believers. This is an idea in the right direction, at Kazan, Russia. Here are others. Cut off the head (religious institutions), let the body fall to the ground (institutions), bury the body, and build a genuinely ecumenical spiritual structure of inter-nation communications for peace.
That’s what I think.
Multiple choice question. Name a former director of the FBI who wasn’t corrupt.
A. J Edgar Hoover
B. Robert Mueller
C. James Comey
D. Christopher Wray
E. All the above
DC breeds corruption.
Which suggests leveling the place every other generation or so out of sheer self-defense.
E. All the above
Next question?
That Mr Trump was the greatest president in my life time is without question. He worked tirelessly for each and every one of us. But I have to admit that so many of his choices for positions that really mattered and for positions of long term import, such as this obviously corrupt Wray, have been instrumental in destroying any faith in the institutions which should be untouchable as concerns their ethics and trustworthiness. None of us is safe when a criminal rogue organization like the FBI can do as they please, get caught as these agents were, and no penalty paid. Who stands for law, order, justice in America? No one. Looking at you, too, Supreme Court.
I miss the roundtables that President Trump would have with people who experienced the injustices done to them from the families of those killed by gang members to the families who lost loved ones in school shootings and created the outline of a program to help all school districts in the future avoid such events, to those who had been overbilled or received surprise billings from hospitals and discussed measures to change those situations, leading to the law where hospitals must publicly show their charges.
A real President of the people, by the people, and for the people.
These DC Bureaucrats and swamp pols are teflon.
I used to think this could be fixed by ground level Patriots and judicious used of the US Constitution.
Nope.
Only thing that will happen is the termination of some low to mid level flunky, who could not be fired for incompetence before this.
I am so very tired of getting screwed by our supposed friends let alone the opposition.
Does anyone really think the Uniparty will abolish thire police state enforcers? This “Government ” cant be fixed- its too corrupt, its broken and theres not enough crazy glue to put it back togather. Today one state has apparently come to this realization. New Hampshire is looking at secession.
Go Green Mountain Boys!
All FBI personnel from janitor to director should wear a body camera and ankle bracelet.
Fired, not prosecuted. Again, no accountability
Its okay. Since Biden is seemingly immune from prosecution for his multiple groping incidences, what have a few gymnastic picadillos have to fear?
Why did the FBI cover up for Nassar?
My exact question.
What was in it for them?
“Don’t embarrass the Bureau, by not embarrassing the US Olympics, by not embarrassing (the soon to be president’s son) Hunter?” Like I’ve always said, “You can tell everything you need to know about someone by who they protect.”
So, public enemy #1, the FBI or more appropriately the FIB, found a low ranking sheep to sacrifice. WOW!! Everyone involved in this fiasco should be fired, top to bottom. They would much rather be engaged in terrorizing patriotic American citizens than pursuing actual criminals. Had any of these young girls been the daughter of a highly placed government official, Nasser would have been arrested in June, within days of the first reported incident. Such a fine example of our system of justice…..
We see this corruption day after day, and no one being held accountable. Tell me, are you surprised that God is judging America? I’m not!
Is it possible that God, has tasked US to judge Corruption in America and we have been disobedient to that Duty?
Yes, I think you’re 100% correct. Tactical Civics is a group that teaches people how to create grand juries and militia within their county, and from there, begin holding people accountable at the local level and then the state level and on up. I believe something similar to this ground-up accountability has also been outlined by Sundance.
Most of us (myself included) have been too preoccupied with life to do anything other than vote. We then expect those in the corrupt system to police themselves. That is a completely unrealistic expectation, and it’s also a cop-out on our part.
For what reason did the FBI cover up for Nassar?
My very question, what was in it for them?
You mean like the promises he made during the reports regarding President Trump and the abuses made by the fbi. Some border if not crossed over into coup status? There were rank and file involved then too. What happened. Wray took a trip to each branch and talked. Oh let’s not forget training. I use to watch every fbi show I could and loved it when they were on or a part of the action. Now I won’t watch if any are on the program. Such a let down. Who’s to blame? Those rank and file who know/knew the answers to many questions and did nothing.
and just for the record it didn’t matter who they told in dc. Nothing would have been done. Get rid of them all and start with a clean slate.
Who will be sorry if any innocents are raped and abused by the incoming Afghan refugees ?
It is there custom, don’t ya know, to sexually abuse children and women.
My reference is to American born and bred children and women.
The Afghans live in that culture, where these crimes are socially acceptable. America prosecutes, and if these travesties do occur, they must be prosecuted. No bull __ .
We shall see.
I keep thinking back to the time in Texas when a couple left their children in a hot car. When confronted and brought before a magistrate they walked away scot free. The reason was in their country it was acceptable. We’re also being told that old men are bringing in child brides. What will happen there? If they can do it, then anyone can; right?
The largest and most disruptive Russian Spy Robert Hanssen was an FBI agent. He was reportedly outed by his brother in law Mark Wauck also a FBI agent a full 10 years before he was actually arrested. Wauck’s account of course is contested by the FBI. The way the Nassar investigation was conducted tends to lend Creedence to Waucks account. However a wait of 10 years for results of an investigation seems to throw shade on his account. It’s so hard to take anyone involved now or previously with the FBI at face value.
Bill Barr:
I have seen no evidence of
election fraud, murder of mothers holding infants, favoritism in prosecution decisions, sexual assault of minors by my employees, shenanigans with AT&T,corruption in Congress, improprieties in the special councils office, collusion with foreign powers at the NAID, anything that isn’t just rosy. When does Bill Barr get prosecuted for his many misdeeds of which this isn’t even the worst? Rhetorical question, I know the answer.
Too busy jamming up Trump supporters to care about the girls…
