Amid all the banter, opinion, negotiations and high-brow conversations about what should happen to end the Ukraine-Russia conflict, one element remains undiscussed: What do the Ukrainian People want?
Current ‘President’ Volodymyr Zelenskyy, installed as an outcome of western influence operations, extended his term in office by cancelling Ukraine elections. His elected term ended 18 months ago, and he has not left office. The various EU/NATO stakeholders did not want the authentic voice of the Ukrainian people to impede on the proxy war against Russia, and so they supported the election cancellation.
Now, the element never discussed by WEF/NATO or EU officials is what the citizens of Ukraine want. From the position of Russian President Vladimir Putin, this non-democratic ‘democracy’ paints Zelenskyy as illegitimate – one of the baselines that affirms the position not to negotiate with him.
Within Ukraine,there are very visible signs the citizens no longer support Zelenskyy; however, that would be an inconvenient factor to introduce to the conflict equation, so it is simply avoided in the discussion. Western media avoid it.
As an outcome, a lot of people watching things unfold do not understand the context that Zelenskyy is in a weak position domestically with sentiment within Ukraine turning sharply against ongoing war. The MSM won’t report on it, and the neocon “influencers” won’t either. The focus is on Russia bad.
From both past and present comments by President Trump, the intransigence of Zelenskyy, in combination with his strict authoritarian, some would say ‘Nazi’-like sentiments, positions the Ukranian leader as somewhat of a difficult person to deal with. However, in the most visible sense, Zelenskyy is an amalgamation of interests that float in the background.
Beyond the civil war that existed in Ukraine long before Vladimir Putin stepped in, the USAID operation in Ukraine installed Zelenskyy. The Intelligence Community apparatus, as deployed by the U.S. State Dept., was the tool to manipulate popular public opinion.
This is the tenuous ground upon which Zelenskyy stands. Propped up originally by leftist American government intents, he was then increasingly supported by European leaders once President Trump took efforts to withdraw the U.S. proxy status.
With President Trump openly wanting to withdraw U.S. support, the beneficiaries of the funding -specifically the U.S. Congress, Senate Foreign Relations and Intelligence Committees- went bananas. These are the same entities who originally supported the USAID/CIA operations within Ukraine.
NATO, the EU, The United Kingdom, the global intelligence apparatus, the leaders of U.K, France, Germany et al. – all use the narrative that Russia must be feared in order to justify their position for more war and hostility.
In the background, the financial companies/banks who fund political leadership also do not want resolution without security guarantees for their lucrative financial investments. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Finnish President Alexander Stubb are set to join Monday’s conference, to ensure those financial stakes are maintained.
Yet the question needs to be asked again…
Who is representing what the Ukrainian people want?

The last scheduled Ukrainian presidential elections were to have been held in April 2024, but the Ukrainian Constitution forbids elections whilst the country is under martial law.
Zelenskyy had nothing to do with that as the Ukrainian legislature declared martial law when Russia invaded.
Zelenskyy was wildly popular at the time of his election and still continues to be wildly popular.
What you may be referring to is polling around the question of “continuing the war” which has dropped from the high 70s to the low 20s.

Constitutionally, the Ukraine president has to declare marshal law on the parliament must approve, which they did. The kicker is that the parliament cannot initiate a vote to end marshal law until the president declares and end to it. So until Zelenskyy ends marshal law there will be no elections. How convenient for him.

There are two lots of ‘Ukrainian People’. One is the ethnic Russians in the East, and the rest are comprised of a lot of descendents of Bandera Nazis in the western areas who attacked and invaded Russia during WW2.
The people in the East have already mainly voted to join Russia as they were being attacked after the 2014 coup when they tried to become independent states because they didn’t agree with the 2014
coup.
Ukraine was a made up state for administrative purposes in the former USSR.
Delving further, the western part could be further broken down into different ethnicities such as ethnic Poles etc.
The sooner all those territories are amalgamated with their surrounding ethnic states so Ukraine disappears completely the better off all the citizens will be, and it would take away the playground of the CIA and other

A massive amount of territory around the City of Lvov in Western Ukraine was the part of Poland that Stalin carved off in 1939 … when the USSR JOINTLY overran Poland with Nazis Germany. The USSR NEVER even considered giving it back after WWII, even after Polish Troops manned two whole Soviet Armies by time the Bagration Offensive reached the borders of Poland in 1944.
Large portions of Poland, the corridor near Bromberg etc. were German lands and German farms for hundreds of years prior to the Versaille treaty of WWI that gave them to Poland.
This treaty precipitated WWII and after that war killed millions more and every German landowner became a refugee, it became Polish land under the USSR.
There is plenty of history in that small group of countries and it goes on and on and they are all players.

Poland-Lithuania was broken up in the 1700s and the various pieces became culturally aligned to the empires that took the pieces. After WWI Poland was assembled from these. You can still see in voting patterns where the old borders were.

I recently read that 80% of the Ukrainian people want the war to end now. I could not verify the veracity of the poll that was taken, so I don’t even know if it bothered to find participants who represent the diverse public interests of the country. So, we should not take this number as being meaningful unless it is known that the statistics of the poll would withstand the importance of the results.
I wish I could remember where I read about this poll, because a) I can feel better since my memory is getting bad in my old age and b) since the outcome of this poll could be a very important reference for the next few days if it is legitimate.

That has been my question, posed on another forum where there are Ukraine hawks. A Gallup poll has shown a significant decrease in the Ukrainian people’s support for the war. The Hawks response: they don’t trust Gallup polls. They are mindlessly in favor of Ukraine’s keeping on keeping on with, of course,, our support. Mindless is the operative word.

Zelensky’s adviser Serhiy Leshchenko is a fanatical anti-Trump operative who played a central role in Ukraine’s 2016 effort to sabotage Trump’s candidacy with fabricated smears, including the takedown of Paul Manafort. Incredibly, when Zelensky had his White House meltdown in February, he brought Leshchenko with him. After the meeting, Leshchenko launched into another of his trademark anti-Trump diatribes. Would the Ukrainians have behaved in such a manner as to give the Russians the perceived justification for the war if NATO and the EU had not provided arms and offered financial assistance to them?
Did the Ukrainians feel emboldened by the political, military and financial support and public offers of NATO membership?
Regardless, at some point, despite the propaganda, it must have become apparent to first the Ukrainian leadership and then the majority of its citizens that Ukraine would lose the war and have to accept most or all of the demands made by Russia.
At that point, a leadership whose loyalty was to their own people would normally try to end the war on the least unfavourable terms which they could achieve, in order to minimise further loss of life and physical damage.
However, instead, the leadership of Ukraine continued the war in accordance with the wishes of parties, the EU, NATO, Germany, France, UK and US.
It is saddening but not surprising that the external parties should be more concerned about the financial costs of the war and consider their own potential gains, but the leaders of a country are usually to be expected to give consideration to the cost in lives of their own people.
It seems to me that the immense additional cost in blood suffered by the Ukrainian people is a direct consequence of being led by people who attach more importance to the wishes of their foreign personal benefactors than to the wishes or needs of their own people.
With the exception of the US, Hungary and Poland, I think that every other western country is led by people of similar minds.

The leadership of Ukraine has been in the process of destroying Ukraine, softening the ground in every way possible, ridding it of the people of generations, sending the “native sons” into the meat grinder so they and their children will not be a problem in the future.
When I was young, it was acknowledged that our leaders were corrupt and incompetent, but it was also believed that most were reasonably patriotic and would not betray their people or their country.
Now, it is believed that they are even more corrupt, extremely competent and acting in betrayal of their own people and country.
In the UK, the government has demonstrated its willingness to sacrifice the lives of its own citizens, in order to further the political agenda favoured by their hidden puppet-masters.
That this sacrifice is only at a smaller scale than in Ukraine is due to their agenda being at a different stage and not to their better nature.
I think that our leaders are loyal to people who subscribe to an ideology which justifies immense sacrifice by their citizens, in pursuit of some imagined future utopia, where their rule is unchallengable.
They don’t worry about the opinions or welfare of useless eaters, whom they despise.

Are we only talking about the Ukrainians who are still in Ukraine, or those people plus the 25% or more of the total population who fled Ukraine after the start of the war on February 24, 2022, plus those who were already out of the country?
I ask because if an election were to be held, the globalists (the EU/WEF elites, deep staters, etc) would probably engineer it so those 25% plus can vote remotely in some fashion. As we have seen in some other recent national elections, populations in exile tend to vote more according to the globalist propaganda they are being fed every day, and they also tend to vote in greater proportions, than the people still in the home country who are seeing conditions first-hand and may have a very different viewpoint, and who may not have as good access to the ballot as the globalists are making sure the exiles get. The way these two portions of the total population vote may be very different and the exiles can and sometimes do sway the election toward the globalist-preferred candidates and positions, and you can bet the globalists will be taking this into consideration when the next Ukrainian election is scheduled and will try very hard to sway how the rules are set.
