Many are saying “Trump coulda or shoulda” or “If Trump woulda” comments. What spare energy or priorities did you see him wasting at any point in this presidential term? Who do you want as president instead of Donald Trump? Are you supporting the MAGA/constitutional platform or tearing it down? Or weakening it by criticizing and undermining the president?

By default the Ukraine has borders, but only by default and default borders are not legal boundaries.
Analogy: If Grandpa dies and leaves his property to his 5 kids and legally defines the boundaries for 4 of the parcels but leaves 1 piece/parcel undefined that 1 parcel is defined by default but would need to be surveyed/defined on paper in order for that 1 piece to have it’s own legal description contained within its necessary deed.
The boundaries (of the 1 piece left undefined) are only known by default due only by the known boundaries of the adjacent parcels.
That is why the Ukraine when referenced in legal documents is known as “The Territory of Ukraine”.
The issue of undefined borders plays into legal contracting by “The Ukraine” and other states/countries/entities.

Khmelnytsky led the Cossacks to victory against the Polish forces, establishing the Cossack Hetmanate, a Ukrainian Cossack state in the area of what is today central Ukraine.
To protect his newly created state against Poland, Khmelnytsky decided to court the protection of the Tsardom of Russia, with the two sharing the Eastern Orthodox fate. Under the treaty of Pereislav of 1654, the Hetmanate pledged allegiance to the throne of Moscow in exchange for military protection.
But it quickly became clear that the two sides understood the agreement very differently.
Khmelnytsky believed that his Hetmanate was going to be an independent power under Moscow’s protection. Moscow saw it as a territorial acquisition.
Moscow began sending military governors to Ukraine, tried to collect taxes, and undermined the independence of the Ukrainian church. Moscow would send a noble to oversee local elections in Kyiv and told Ukraine that Tsarist warlords would take over the functions of government. Moscow also bribed military officers to rise up against the Hetmanate.

Marrying her brother wasn’t to share her citizenship with him, but to use her citizenship as a means to keep him in the United States. Years ago, in many states, BAR exams were not even required for lawyers to practice in any capacity; being a law graduate was sufficient.

I don’t know how they are going to get this problem under control, like they did in term 1.0, but I see this as the #1 issue. We all remember the saying: “It’s the economy, stupid.” Inflation is going to be the voting box issue.

The September Consumer Price Index has come in at 3.7%, up from 3.4% in August, with prices rising another 0.6% in a single month. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported the largest monthly increase in five months, driven primarily by energy. Gasoline jumped 9.1% in September alone, accounting for more than half of the monthly increase, while the overall energy index rose 5.2%. The politicians and economists continue talking about inflation as though these monthly reports represent the entire cost-of-living problem. They seem incapable of understanding that Americans are paying these increases ON TOP of the massive inflation that has already accumulated since 2020.
The breakdown of September inflation illustrates just how unevenly these increases are hitting consumers. Energy prices are now 20.4% higher than a year ago, gasoline has surged 34.2%, and fuel oil has exploded 74.2%. Airline fares have risen 22.4%, while education is up 3.8% and shelter another 3.2%. These are not insignificant expenses that households can simply eliminate. People must drive to work, heat their homes, pay their mortgages or rent, and purchase the necessities of life. The government can exclude food and energy to produce its preferred core inflation figure of 2.6%, but nobody gets to exclude those expenses from their household budget.
The cost of living was already elevated before this latest surge. The inflation accumulated during the pandemic never disappeared. Prices did not return to 2020 levels simply because the annual inflation rate temporarily declined. When a household is already paying roughly 30% more for many everyday expenses than it did before the pandemic, another 3.7% increase means the purchasing power of its income deteriorates further. This is why the public becomes increasingly angry when politicians announce that inflation is improving. They are discussing the RATE of increase while the public is struggling with the actual PRICE of everything.

It is definitely an issue. A number of consumers are now getting their health insurance premium estimates for 2027 and that is sending shockwaves out among the policy holders.
When you start adding in other increases like auto and home insurance, taxes, and increasing costs from businesses there will need to be some serious family budgeting adjustments.
One thing I know with 100% certainty — as poorly as one might think the GOP has been WRT inflation, the radical Left Dems will ALWAYS be worse.

Yes, the inflation problem is inflation on inflated prices. It’s a compounding thing and increases that never go backwards.
So, *everything* that costs, costs more. The thing I am getting to though, is that part of *everything* also includes the price of our private services, i.e. our wages. Those increase as well too, but the question then is how are they keeping up?
What we need is a stat that shows the annual inflation rate MINUS the annual increase in wages. Then we would have a truly accurate picture of what we are really feeling and wanting to quantify: How much more or less affordable life is getting .
Is there a stat like that? That would be way more useful to me.
There are statistics kept by the government regarding the rate of wage increases, just as they do on inflation.
However, in BOTH cases the effects on an individual depends upon their personal circumstances. The wage increases might be 20% over a 5 year period, but the person could have only had one 3% raise in that time period. The cost of a new car might have gone up 20%, but the person hasn’t ever bought a new car.
These are reasons for looking in depth at the numbers, as I did yesterday and looking at the changes in categories that personally effect us.

Argentina has a few issues with this desire:
First is the referendum of those living on the Falklands, so far want to remain with the UK.
Second … Since the Falklands War the Armed Forces of Argentina has also undergone a large reorganization and REDUCTION. For a very small Air Defense, Ground Force (with Anti-Ship Assets) and RAF deployment … the Argentine Armed forces would suffer major losses if they tried anything.
Their A-4 and Super Etendard aircraft are gone.
Their aircraft carrier is gone.
Their P-3 Orion fleet greatly reduced.
The surface Naval attack assets greatly reduced.
Their Marines have NO Amphib ships.
Their Paratroopers have very few Transport aircraft.
In a word .. their ability to project a force to the Falklands is greatly diminished and can be easily thwarted with a relatively small deployment.
For the time being .. this is public rhetoric only.
