Parents and residents of Loudon County, Virginia, confronted the administration of the School Board today and things quickly escalated. As parents spoke out against Critical Race Theory the board voted to stop public comment. After the board shut down public comments the Board Superintendent then declared the meeting was an unlawful assembly and had the Sheriff’s department begin making arrests.

How can an open public meeting be an unlawful assembly? When was the right to petition the government for grievances taken out of the Constitution?
Based on the information provided by Simon in yesterday’s school board meeting story- these citizens can now sue the board. And sue them under quo warrantos so they are not permitted to use tax dollars to defend themselves.
They can not shut down or censor Constitutionally protected speech. These board members need to be held to account. These progressives use our own taxes, our own resources (police, etc.) to shut us down.
And more so, why was the head school board member not arrested for creating the unlawful assembly? He made the meeting did he not? He is the head person, correct? So if it was unlawful it was because of you.
Use the system against them. It’s time to take these people down.

In my entire life I have never had a cop do shit for me except cost me money. Back when I was a civic minded citizen I also sat on a City Board that held hearings and made recommendations on bad cops. The leadership was every bit as corrupt as the rank and file. I was raised to honor and respect Law Enforcement and the law. Then my eyes were opened. The blue line is nothing more than a trail marker leading to the sewer.

I don’t recall any police unions or individual officers, at least in any numbers, making statements that they refuse to enforce unconstitutional laws. We don’t have to “paint every LEO with a broad brush”. They paint themselves when they don’t call out their colleagues and departments for behaving like democrats/communists.
A relative of mine once worked for the CHP. He would brag that their unions and officers would support any politician, republican or democrat, who voted them more money and benefits. The police unions or any public service unions are actually just money laundering operations for democrats/communists. Communists always follow instructions form the Commissars.

There have been a FEW examples to be certain, but the majority of conservative citizen interactions with police, over the last 18 months, has been of the jack booted thug or apathetic variety.

I noticed this morning in Fontana they’ve even taken to the air, a sheriff helicopter took out a perp who had hit a CHP vehicle and was
apparently driving the wrong way on the freeway. Shot the driver dead from the helicopter. The perp had stolen a flatbed truck.

I have a law enforcement family and I pray every day they don’t get killed by a criminal illegal alien, or get set up by the local District Attorneys for a no-win situation.
Most law enforcement are caught between a rock and a hard place and they are resigning in droves.

So I guess the founding generations were wrong in using watchmen militias under a watchman committee and the sheriff? Modern police didn’t get their start until the 1820’s in New York City. From 1609 till the end of the 19th century everything was done via the watchman system. It’s our job to protect our liberties and prior generations ceded it to the government much to our detriment.
Watchmen militias were citizens that took care of patrolling where they lived at and provided a deterrent to crime. They also did investigations and the like while offering support to the sheriff in the form of posses. It arose due to the Crown not willing to send constables or soldiers to defend the colonists. This is why in the colonial charters that the citizens were granted the right to keep and bear arms, including ships of the line and cannon.
I’d rather take my chances with a watchmen militia that answers directly to the people over an unaccountable government special militia that acts like an occupying army.
