It’s hard to believe the image below was originally shared on these pages and discussed almost a decade ago. There was just something about the shift in messaging from the totalitarian left that sounded an internal alarm amid those who were focused on the open dismissal of liberty and freedom that resounded from the drumbeat of the Obama era:
“Fundamental change” was a looming catch phrase many just seemed to ignore. And here we are… divided by a network of seemingly intoxicating systems; many purposefully driven by the modern dynamic of social media, steering a tribal outcome we are only now just beginning to fathom. Ultimately what the collective weight of progressiveness is putting upon us is isolation. There are so many historic references to this strategic sentiment it is disconcerting to review with hindsight.
I am not a sage, but we saw this coming…. we just didn’t know the entry vector that would be used to accomplish the final stages of diminished freedom and individual liberty. As we look at the current COVID-19 mandates and dictates one cannot easily dismiss the weaponized use of a virus to attain division under the guise of “social distancing.”
When we initially asked the question: “where would you choose to live“, we had no idea a virus would be purposeful to enhance the objectives of social engineering, isolation and ultimately, painfully, oppression. Oblivious to the grand design, we allowed a seemingly disparate network of big tech companies to control communication. The COVID aspect now generates in the physical world exactly the same distance created in the digital world.
In/around July it was obvious in my travels we were on the precipice of a disconnect from human interaction that would numb our psyche to what ultimately matters, fellowship.
Not only are various governmental agencies forcing the separation of people from their community networks, we are also seeing faith-based organizations, churches, buying into the fear. Even in areas where churches are not forcibly shut down, many are seeing a structural shift where some faith leaders are willingly ostracizing their community under the guise of various COVID alarms. This is not good…. not good at all.
Fellowship is the essential ingredient to a purposeful life. How and why we interact with each-other is how and why we recharge our core humanity. To see faith leaders willing to separate from the function of fellowship is alarming. However, as individuals we must not allow this foreboding sense to become the normal expectation.
Throughout history large armies have been defeated through the process of division. It is not a leap to see the same strategic objectives being deployed against social assemblies including congregations. It is puzzling how leadership cannot see the danger in social and spiritual distance when the bond of fellowship is needed more than ever.
Each of us has a different connection to our community. Each of us has a different level of internal strength… such is the nature of living. However, the distance between people is manifestly not a good outcome when combined with the lack of food for the soul.
The influence of social media is already troublesome, physically distancing from human engagement only worsens the impact. There is no digital replacement for the true fellowship of humanity on a personal level.
Ultimately it is the currency of human connection that is the true value in our lives.
We have each felt how our positive influence upon the lives of others nourishes our own sense of purpose and fulfillment… Do not lose that. Do not think you can compensate for that through other arbitrary measures; you cannot.
With local, state and now federal leaders moving beyond the workplace distance; and beyond the community distance; and beyond the church distance; and now entering your home to tell you the importance of separating yourself from your family during a time of year when that very assembly is the core of your support network… you must evaluate these arbitrary decrees very deliberately.
Evaluate very closely what you are willing to give up. Perhaps we are in this position today because we didn’t sit still enough and contemplate the real priorities in our lives.
Our liberty is inherent.
Our freedom is inherent.
The removal of both requires consent.
I choose not to disconnect.
I choose purpose.
I choose my own humanity.
Love to all,

[…] I asked a gentleman for the location to a convenience store to purchase some mints to chew throughout the day. I was directed to a specific store.
When I made my purchase, the mask on the other side of the counter was as sad as many that day, but I felt compelled to ask how she was doing. The typical “been better” was the return. However, as I started to walk away… I turned back: “what’s wrong”?
For the next few minutes I listened as I met a mom of four kids who was 15 days from a COVID-based eviction. There was really no-one to blame; and worse, for her no-where to turn. She was looking for housing grants to avoid the most painful decision in her short 30-year-life.
You see, there was a reason why I went into that store that afternoon, at least that’s what I told her; and there was a reason why she was there. In part with your support, and after putting all other tasks in the appropriately unimportant place they deserved, WE (yes, you and me) together found a solution and provided the resources she needed. Starfish dude strikes again… this time with His help and your help.
It would have been very easy to walk out and accept that simple: “been better”. Heck, I think of all the times I have done that before…. but not this time. This time something nagged about it…. and so I turned around and found tears, fellowship – and mints.
The next day another stroll, a little lost, and a veteran on the street… I can’t tell you his story because that’s for another day… but it is just as important and just as profound. As I walked away from him many minutes later he yelled at me: “HEY DUDE”. I turned my unmasked smile back in his direction only to have him say: “we need more people like you in charge”… Thumbs up, and I continued my travels.
Which is really the point of writing all this. Our nation needs more people like you, right now. Don’t wait… engage life, get optimistic however you need to do it. Then let that part of you shine right now… This is how we fight. Hold up that flag; give the starter smile… rally to the standard you create and spread fellowship again.
God knows we need it.

“Isolation didn’t start with social media. Isolation starts with rebellion against God…. blaming the world, others, and our own lives without gratitude for the chance to do something to express our own nature.”
“I think the real word is unconscious. But today the situation requires choice: Good or Evil. No room left to be unconscious.”
This is what I’m afraid of. The fence sitters are being goaded (by Satanic forces) to make a *conscious* choice for evil. This is how Satan separates us from God.
We can be stupid but not intentionally so. A line is crossed when we are conscious of our evil actions.

” Your experience is the expression (pressing out) of your state of mind or consciousness, at any time. When your consciousness is high, everything goes well. When your consciousness is low or limited, everything goes wrong.
When trouble comes the usual thing is to meet it, with fear, anger, self-pity, or brutal will power. This naturally lowers the consciousness a good deal more, and things get still worse.”
“… get optimistic however you need to do it. Then let that part of you shine right now… This is how we fight … rally to the standard you create and spread fellowship again.” Not tooting my own horn (dim bulbs don’t have that privilege), but, my survival tips include:
–when the “believers” drone with their negative “covid” cult talk, I let them finish, trying to remind them of the good news: world-wide recovery approaching 99.9 % (thanks, Jordan Schachtel, The Dossier), USA revised estimated recovery rate is 99.997-99.98% for those 49 years old and under; 99.5% ages 50-69; 94.6% 70 and over (!) (thanks, Kane/Citizen Free Press, and …CDC? Whaaaat?!). But alas, some folks just won’t hear of it.
–so, so, so blessed that I can “fellowship” every day with family and friends over the phone; and if not every day in person with kin and kith, then at the stores, running errands, etc.. I always make even a little conversation. About anything. With almost anyone.
–I never (!) wear a mask outdoors. And I’m plucking up the nerve to return nasty looks from self-righteous virtue-signaling “believers” (it’s Sunday, the LORD’s day. And I’ll leave it at that.?)
–I do wear a “face covering” ? indoors; and when asked if I need a mask I decline reminding the vendor that I am wearing a “face covering” as per the Fuhrer
—-if I remember I might add, “no, I don’t need a slave cloth”
Snark helps. At least for me. 😉 And a lot of prayers!
❤ Heart, you, Sundance. Thanks again for all that you do.
What is your face covering, if you don’t mind me asking?
I have a high collar fleece jacket and just pull it up to my nose–if it’ll go up that far.
Gigi, we’ll probably be travelers on the same re-education train to the gulag.
I am so beyond fed up with all the negativity and lack of common sense, I could spit!
Yesterday, was the final straw. In the “Faith over fear,” mantra that I repeat for sanity, our pastor stepped off the altar yesterday and said to observe social distancing all the way out of the church. We didn’t.
This physical, emotional and spiritual separation is programmed insanity! Thanks abundance for a very thoughtful article.
“…We didn’t.” Way to go!!! For similar reasons I’ve been visiting another Church. So sad. But I can’t tolerate it anymore.
“…gulag…” I hear you, but never. That said I know that I’m probably “in their sights:” been exercising my free speech rights since about June or so with straight-forward language and pics on my car about the virus and the hypocrisy of certain leftist governors and mayors who shall remain nameless. I’ve got their mask-less faces and everything. Some motorists slow down to keep pace with me and I know they’re reading my signs. It’s out of my comfort zone but felt I had to speak up some time.
Wonderfully written but more importantly a much needed reminder. Sundance/CTH is golden!

“… and now federal leaders”
I’m still not worried about that. Because I’m still planning on seeing Trump inaugurated for his second term in January. And once that happens, he’ll start shutting down this COVID insanity real quick.
But if I’m wrong? Well then, I will definitely “evaluate these arbitrary decrees very deliberately”… and I’m not sure where that will lead me. 🙁
the problem is that the ENEMY has dominant single use platforms (Google, YT etc)
I wish folks would stop saying use tis platform or use this platfrom.
It would help a great deal if POTUS said look , I am going to use the following platforms to get my message out
Gab (v Twitter)
Bitchute(v YT)
MeWe (v FB)
and I am asking ALL trump supporters fed up of censorship to migrate to these platforms and to stop using and supporting the enemy media that is trying to take your voice away.
REAL MASS ALTERNATE PLATFORMS ARE NEEDED…..but cannot be achieved if many splinter alternates exist.
Also parler and rumble. I know Devin Nunez and Dan Bongino are on rumble.

t been told that there is a problem with Parler and others insofar as the tech companies that build the phones are saying they won’t support the app on their stores, so you’d have to build your own phone to access them. So much for supporting all voices. This is the result of a 50 year plan to prevent people from living freely. It may be that we have to return to the days of serfdom and Lords and Barons ruling us before we break free again. We’re probably in the final stages of The Fatal Sequence.
I have the Parker all On my phone and it works just fine. It’s a Samsung phone.

Stupid auto correct!!!??
Such a good message! I’m tired of quick messages and with that in mind have been calling people I haven’t been in touch with for a while and my calls have been received well. One call to a former co-worker has led to a weekly meeting for a cup of coffee. Each week, another person has joined our little group. We’re happy and the cafe owner is happy. We’re helping her to keep her business open – another benefit from one phone call!
@Sundance, I so appreciate your site…and your insight. I am happy to report that in my neck of the woods (southern Maryland), several families have banded together to form a “pandemic learning pod”, allowing their children to interact and play together without masks. I’m one of the educators. We also have a singing circle that’s meeting in my yard, since my house is on the “right side” of the county line where we can still meet with more than 25 people outdoors. And my church is feeling more normal, though attendance is down. My dh and I flew to San Diego just before the election. There was so much Trump enthusiasm, very happy. But we were there to visit family. Guess what? We didn’t get COVID. I’ve vacationed in Michigan and Wisconsin, and visited family in Georgia and Pennsylvania. No COVID. My 87-year-old fil lives by himself and spends most of his time puttering in his shed. He’s an inventor. He is isolating, but has select visitors several times a week. We sit in the living room six feet apart and talk. My bil, though, has gone into deep isolation with his wife. I haven’t seen them since March, and they’re the closest (by distance) family member. I think he’s on anti-depressants. So, my take away? Get outside and live the life you were meant to live, remembering that you were put on this planet to know, love and serve God in this world and to be happy with Him eternally in heaven. Go share the Good News. This culture of death so desperately needs it.
Last night I saw for the first time the minister in San Diego performing a strip routine in church by dancing around & taking his tie off so his church could qualify as a strip club & remain open for worship. He quit the city council last spring when the China virus lockdowns started happening.
And so we must not quit resisting these vile Democrat officials who look to lock us down, shut us away from social & family gatherings & places of worship.
We also cannot abandon our humor because, in fact, the San Diego minister was just pointing out how ridiculous it is to give up our freedoms with no scientific proof that viruses avoid peaceful & violent protests but ravage congregations of people praying.
BTW, on the paranoid scale, I truly believe the Chinese have developed an atomizer or wipes for this virus which Democrats or other enemies are using to create hot spots like at the White House, the Rose Garden or at some sort of gathering. Why have so few Democrats come down with the virus?
Don’t forget the movies! I have gone to the movies recently and seen “Hillbilly Elegy” – hard to watch but wonderful acting and “The Last Vermeer”, another good one about painters and fame. At one movie theatre which seats hundreds there were 2 people, one of whom was me. In the other movie theatre things were looking up a bit – 6 patrons. Also I saw “The Climb” and “Let Him Go”. I love to go to the movies; there is fellowship there albeit just the “we are here together” watching a movie. I am terrified that the movies will close. I don’t drink; I think my own food is better than a restaurant but I do love the movies! I do not think I am going to get the flu at the movies, especially not now(!) but even if the theatre was filled I do not think I will get the flu. And if I do I will do what Robert F. Kennedy Jr. advises in his article on principascientific.com; get treatment immediately. Gigi’s comments show statistics that I had not seen before – all good news.
I just noticed that I am commenting on my “WordPress.com” account, which I did not know I had. Dan Bongino was just thrown off WordPress. I do not know how to get off “WordPress”, nor do I know where to go.
Well, let’s hear it for fellowship.
Thank you Sundance, I’ll take that as a much needed kick in the pants. Two internet people I’ll never meet have helped me so much today. Been feeling bad.
Treepers, look after you and yours, and any strangers you might meet on the way give them at least an umasked smile.
Speaking of movies. One of my all time favorites was Weekend at Bernie’s. I tried to find this movie in Sept. with no luck to show my dad. So this movie came to mind when I read yesterday on newsmax this; “We started some consultations with House and Senate leadership on that. Obviously, this is not going to be the same kind of inauguration we had in the past.” says Klain on Sunday’s ABC news. So using my new found sense of humor I hear by dumb the movies new name to; Weekend at Biden’s. I wondered how are they going to keep him in the basement and give him some lids? My favorite scene from the movie was when the 2 guys put Bernie between them and jet skied. Rumor had it Biden liked to swim at the White House. Laugh more.
A notion of leadership that has our best interests in mind does not exist. Surely we understand that by now. That should make the questions posed at the end of the OP much easier to answer.
The picture accompanying this makes me think of the skyline view of “UN HQ” used by the series ‘The Expanse’ on Amazon Prime. If you have prime and like sci fi, it might be worth a watch. YMMV of course.
It reminds me of my homeland England’s past, when the kings and Dukes ruled over the serfs. The castles dominated the scene and their waste was poured down upon the peasants working the soil below. Nothing changes, this has always been the way of the world.
