When Paul Ryan left congress he exited his role as the primary inside resistance operative; however, he did not stop the agenda. Knowing President Trump was now officially the head of the formal republican party, prior to departure Ryan positioned Liz Cheney as an influence agent with her role as Republican Conference Chairwoman. Essentially an explosive anti-MAGA cell with instructions to activate at a time of maximum damage.

In the military we grunts/low level sailors used to do something called “death by over compliance.” Whenever the command put into place a stupid policy that those who did the work knew wasn’t going to work while causing more work to be created (but makes the officers look good) we’d follow, follow to a damn tee. We’d all make sure EVERYONE complied by the new rules and made sure the new rules were applied in EVERY circumstance it “seemed” the new rules applied.
Those new rules quickly died on the vine when the officers realized it was they who were being overburdened or being put out. They didn’t like having the new rules used against them…so they made them go away.

Congresswoman Cheney) wanted to run for the Senate seat being vacated by Enzi, but she was confronted with a primary fight by conservative former Congresswoman Cynthia Lumis. Mrs. Perry and her handlers/strategists backed down from the Senate race; perhaps they feared she might lose.
She is married to Philip Perry, a rather prominent D.C. lawyer with Latham & Watkins, who also served in the W. Bush administration. Wonder why she does not take her husband’s name or at least go by “Liz Cheney Perry”. Oh, wait, I guess using just the Cheney name offers more political identity.

True. The Supreme Court has held in at least two cases that states have authority over procedures for electing members of Congress, but not over the qualifications of members of Congress. They concluded that you cannot impose term limits because that would be imposing an additional qualification for office, and you cannot recall members because that would curtail their term of office, the length of which is set by the Constitution. Too bad, because there are very good arguments in favor of having term limits and for having the ability to recall members.
Perhaps it is time for the states to give both a new try. Maybe the different make-up of the court would result in a different decision? Would not hold my breath that it would (after how they acted regarding the Steal), but isn’t it worth a try?

People are wondering why the impeachment, at this point? That’s easy, the president can still issue pardons and declassify, right up to the last minute of his presidency.

I read that Senator Cotton attended the anti-Trump summit with fellow Trump haters that was held years ago at Sea Island, Georgia. Senator Cotton is poison. I am sure he is another silver bullet planted in the Republican Party like Pence is/was. Pence’s name is Mudd now.

My takeaway on the past 100 years of Constitutional government: from the precinct level on up, the congressional third of Constitutional Government has been systematically corrupted. Parallel with that corruption came corruption of the judicial third. The isolated Executive was left with the powers of Executive Order. Every EO increased the size and scope of the bureaucracy. We are now “governed” by millions of unionized bureaucrats (EO#10988). The bureaucrats are the “army” the congress and the courts employ to thwart the will of the We The People & the Executive. The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution are untainted. Everything else needs to go. We need a clean slate with no ‘precedent law.’ Constitutional Law is lawful. Precedent law is “legal.”

I watched the vid. What’s missing is the basic truth that “all power comes from God our Father.” How that power is employed is game now on this side of Heaven. The Good LORD has given every individual the liberty to employ whatever power they have (or accumulate) in whatever way they choose. The historical record of God’s power in the government of men shows, again and again, that even the best men eventually misuse their God-given power. God enters into the situation and rectifies things but withing 2 or 3 generations the correction is forgotten and the same old thing happens again.
Without God in government, there is no peace. Eliminating prayer in the classroom has contributed greatly to the present levels of ignorance, violence and murder in the nation. I live roughly 180 miles north of Cheney’s domicile in Wyoming. I can tell you that the state of Wyoming is greatly overestimated. I have a hard time finding one single conservative soul in the state.

I am thinking it has to do with the absolute dismal living conditions of the hard working white class. There seems to not be a single person in Wyoming who has “made” it.
