Sunday Talks: Senator Graham Defends The Senate Role in Trying to Remove President Trump…

Senator Lindsay Graham appears on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo to profess his public outrage about the senate being lied to by the FBI in 2018. {Go Deep}

In essence what Graham is doing is establishing the defense of the Senate for their role in attempting to remove President Donald Trump. ie. Selective Outrage.

The simple way to identify Graham’s motive is this way:…  The SSCI was aware of this briefing in 2018 right?  So why didn’t any SSCI member step forth after the Horowitz report in 2019 and say they were mislead?… or at any time after the truth of the primary sub-source was evident?   It does not take the public release of briefing material, two years later, to initiate senate outrage if senate outrage was genuine.

Graham wasn’t outraged when the senate knew about it, he becomes outraged when the public knows about it.  See how the application of common sense works?

Methinks Graham doth protest too much. The more he spoke of his honor, the faster we counted the spoons.

He’s my Senator and I have written to him. All I got back was a form letter that said: “Blah blah blah, blah blah. And blah blah blah. Thanks for writing me, Lindsay”

Lindsay had no real competition in the primary. If Jamie Harrington wouldn’t be just another Stooge for Chucky; I would vote for him.

Everybody needs to remember who had a private meeting with Graham back in Aug 2019……..

    None other than AG Barr

After reading this story and then what we saw today on Maria’s Program this meeting and Graham himself become comical.

Not a chance in hell Barr exposes the Senate involvement.

Barr’s claim of one system of justice is almost as comical as Graham’s fake outrage.

I love the last paragraph of this article. “Graham also said the key question is not what did former President Barack Obama know and when he knew it, but rather who told him and what did he do when he was briefed. Determining the identity of this briefer, Graham said, will “unravel the riddle here.”
Graham is more like the Riddler getting unraveled.

IMO, I believe a fair measuring stick remains the number of indictments that occur for any criminal offense a coup participant may have committed.

Absent indictments, my standard is an honest layout of the facts, and a reasoned explanation why the elements do not make a criminal offense.
“Declined to prosecute” without more, is going to cause much anger, and most of that will be uninformed.
Just to pick an example, Graham lying to the public is not a crime. Likewise this misleading debrief to SSCI is not a crime. Neither is it a crime to point a finger at Russia for meddling, when all was done there is FB ads – meanwhile the US intelligence community, Congress, DOJ/Special Counsel are running unpredicated action in order to turn an election. All legal. Improvident appointment of Special Counsel? Not a crime.
I’m not really pissed about that – some things are so far beyond the pale and so rarely caught that nobody thinks to criminalize it. Congressional check kiting. Legal.
Sunlight can be powerful. If a critical mass of the public decides the US really is a banana republic, things will change. Right now the institutions are despicable, but much of the public grants trust. we laugh at Hannity’s 99%, but I bet people think yeah, okay, probably 90%. I think it’s more like 20% good. The rest is deadweight or rot.

Don’t get me wrong I think there are just to many crimes for Barr to ignore all of them.

I think we will see some FIB people indicted for process crimes but zero people in DOJ, CIA or Congress. Containment comes to mind.

We may also get some indictments on money laundering but don’t expect them to reach anyone at the top levels.

I just hate people who profess publicly their integrity and principles but their actions in the end just don’t measure up.

What Sundance has pointed out with Graham is the perfect example.

Hope I’m wrong and Barr truly sees this as a massive seditious conspiracy and coup on a sitting President but I’m not holding my breath.

Barr is not pro-Trump, he is not pro-Obama, he is not pro-Hillary, he is not pro-Biden, he is likely pro-Bush, but he is most definitely pro-DOJ.

Barr came in after Congress had shredded the coup, but before Weissman would use it to further impugn Trump. In fact, Barr showed up between the lies successfully turning the House over to Piglosi, but before she implemented her long planned impeachment of Trump.

If you look at what Barr has done, it has been all for the ‘good’ of the country, as seen through the eyes of someone who thinks harming the DOJ would destroy the country.

Perversely, that means Barr covers up the rot in the DOJ that is destroying the country.

Sundance’s adage about Barr needing to be shown what we already know is very important.

If Barr knows that we know, he will know he must clean up the DOJ. Otherwise, he will be charging us for the opportunity of whitewashing the building. Noseplugs to cover up the putrid stench from the rot inside will cost you extra.

    Heavy Sigh.
    Lord, have Mercy.

To me, THIS today convinces me much of the current Intelligence Community is a house on fire.

The Interagency Memoranda that Judge Collyer alluded to, what 3 years ago now, should have set alarms off all over the place.

No FISC awareness, hence no oversight by any Judicial branch entity.

Congressional oversight? Where were the SSCI hearings/investigations where the Executive Branch agencies SHOULD have been forced to ‘fess up two years ago. This is clear evidence of Dereliction of Duty!

But the FBI does send 20+ heavily armed agent to terrorize the senior citizen Rodger Stone, and his neighborhood!

This same FBI, not three MONTHS ago, sends 15 agents to a race car garage to investigate a door pull rope!?!

Look I understand the need for some cooperative operatives to operate in Stealth Mode.

All of you, please read this letter I sent to Senator Johnson Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee.

    “Dear Senator Johnson,

Two urgent concerns broke open today you have also spoken of as being important to you, Senator Chuck Grassley and your staff working these combined issues for the past few years.

The first was revealed by Senator Graham, clearly showing the FBI is deficient in Fidelity and Integrity.

“WASHINGTON – Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) today released a newly declassified FBI document that indicates the Bureau misled the Senate Intelligence Committee in 2018 about the Steele dossier’s Primary Sub-source and, therefore, the reliability of the Steele dossier.

“This document clearly shows that the FBI was continuing to mislead regarding the reliability of the Steele dossier. The FBI did to the Senate Intelligence Committee what the Department of Justice and FBI had previously done to the FISA Court: mischaracterize, mislead and lie. The characterizations regarding the dossier were completely out of touch with reality in terms of what the Russian sub-source actually said to the FBI”

The second concerns the plight of General Michael Flynn in this discussion:

” OnJanuary 12, 2017 a felony leak about phone calls between the Russian Ambassador and General Flynn was published by The Washington Post. This led to Flynn’s downfall and reignited the Trump-Russia investigations still tearing our nation apart. 48 hours before the leak was published, my former supervisor Halper eerily laid out what was about to happen to Flynn, something he had no independent reason to know. Halper described how Flynn’s “so called enemies” would make Flynn “blow up…he’s really f**ked.”

Sir, I ask you in all seriousness and urgency to consider my letter to you as a warning our National Intelligence Community is a house on fire.

It is an emergency condition with evident dangers to the President, to Congress, to the Courts, not to mention the likely hood and freedoms of any citizen who happens to be their target for malign activity.

Please, use all available influence and power you and your committee can bring to bear to resolve this for the sake of this entire Nation.

Thank you for listening, and I wish you well and Godspeed.

As best I can tell, he and Senator Grassley are the ONLY other Congressional Branch entity performing any semblance of investigation.

I think we (All Americans) need to start making some real noise.

I have always suspected DC elites thought Trump was incapable of running the country. I have heard more than one person say Trump is not ‘presidential.’ (He was elected because he is a fighter!) I surmise Senators and other elites have been covering their butts for 4 years because they were among the DC elites who did not think he could govern successfully. They were part of the ‘take him down’ Coup.

In this interview Yoo is asked about elites. Yoo admits he too was “repelled” by Trump and did not vote for him. His position on Trump has changed 180 over time and he states Trump, surprisingly, governs as a constitutional conservative.

Tragically, not everyone is as bright as Yoo. And by not supporting OUR President the elites have opened the door to very nefarious characters who want to bring down the nation.

Maria fell for the distraction. “Oh, look. Poor Lindsay and the Senate were lied to by the FBI.”

As smart as she has been about many areas of the scandal, she wasn’t up on this. Lindsay’s “selective outrage” ploy worked. I wish she would have called him out like:

*why were not outraged when you discovered this information reported in Horowitz’s IG report Dec 2019? Why wait until it comes into public view?

*why did you say in this week’s hearing that you don’t believe Sally Yates did anything wrong (to Yates herself, no less)…Isn’t that prejudging the outcome of the investigation?

*What makes you so sure that only the FBI was involved in bad behavior at this point when Sally Yates obstructed the implementation of the President’s Executive Order on Travel Bans, a highly partisan move that seems to put her on the Resistance team?

*Why didn’t you ask Ms. Yates about a list of her actions where she said she depended on her staff or the FBI to do their part: out of those actions, it seems like all of them were detrimental to the President and his administration: the FISA, going to the White House with Mary McCord to discuss General Flynn’s supposed lie without asking for call transcripts, etc. Can you name one area where you trusted your staff and the FBI to do the job where they underperformed and it ended up helping the President.

That’s probably enough for now. Maybe if she has made criticisms of the President since she was removed, they should be brought up.

Any other things she should have been asked that Maria can ask in future interviews?

It would make War and Peace look like a short story!! 😡

    “The Spies Who Hijacked America
As a doctoral candidate at Cambridge working under “FBI Informant” Stefan Halper, I had a front-row seat for Russiagate” by Steven Schrage

This is narrative engineering. Stay far away from this. I’ve already posted about this – several things should make you question his motives.

“After witnessing the plane that hit the Pentagon on 9/11, I led G8 and State Department international crime and terrorism efforts with Department of Justice (DOJ), FBI, and intelligence officials and had worked for decades in White House, Congressional, and presidential campaign roles.”

He’s worked within politics. This is a red-flag: swamp.

“By the time I organized a major 2016 conference to serve as a capstone of my years of research at Harvard and Cambridge — ironically focused on the national security risks of U.S. presidential campaigns ”

Ironically? You must be joking – Halper was YOUR advisor!

Like “I had to find someone, anyone, to fly over on a last-minute economy ticket to represent the Trump campaign.”

You HAD to? No, you didn’t. And of all people, you get Carter Page?

This tripe should NOT be followed. It is as bad as Graham. Stay away from fake narrative engineering!

Has anyone noticed how utterly useless most of our Politicians are? There are *very* few Republican Senators and Congress Critters who are screaming from the rooftops about this horrible thing that has happened to the Republic – an actual attempted coup and the subsequent sabotage of a Presidency. WHY????!!!!

As a regular American, you’ve got to be asking yourself what on earth would I actually sell my soul for? Is it Wealth? Notoriety? Power? Sex? Fame? I just don’t get it. Most Americans just wouldn’t do what they’ve done. I guess most of them have zero fear of God and/or hell. That’s where we’re at!

Senator Graham: Just admit you blew it and resign. That would be the honorable thing to do. No excuses, no shifting blame. Take full responsibility for not stopping the coup attempt. Set the example for the others – do what’s right.

Our elected politicians are puppets, and they aren’t dancing to the voters.
The administrative state and foreign policy system they created is too big to manage, so they are taught how to take their share of the loot. Everybody’s happy, and the beat goes on.
Government by the government, for the government, and it runs on your back.
This pattern is uniform throughout most of the world.

    • Their self-respect, their self-image, resides in their powerful positions. They cannot admit anything contrary to that self-image, because it would involve turning against themselves, as it were. In other words, you are, metaphorically, handing Graham a gun and telling him to do the honorable thing. But you are addressing a spoiled brat — a Nero, or Caligula — not a responsible adult.

You — we — have to beat it out of them.

Lindsay Graham, what an actor…better than Barney Rubble. I like Maria but she was not at her best in that interview. Besides aligning with LG, she totally blanked on her last question to him about Flynn. Not that LG is going to provide any revelations but she did ask the question so she should at least continue the charade that LG is anything other than a good soldier for the corrupt uniparty.

Gramm is no southern gentleman. Always has been a fruad. Selective outrage is his middle name. Look back over his career. It shows the deception of a liar and a con. Nothing more.
