Ratcliffe, Meadows, Stefanik, Jordan and Johnson Deconstruct the House Bolton Maneuver…

The “House Bolton Maneuver” was a pre-planned operation to use a timed NSC ‘resistance’ leak to frame a new demand for testimony in the Senate. From the beginning the House intentionally constructed an impeachment process to avoid the judicial branch because the construction of the articles was dependent on an unconstitutional creation: impeachment by decree of the Speaker.

As a result of their approach, the House fully intended to usurp their lack of judicial subpoena authority by placing political pressure on the Senate to call the trial witnesses they knew were unattainable due to separation of powers within the constitutional process.  By design the House plan puts the burden of compulsory witness testimony upon the Senate because the House refused to create their own authority with a vote to initiate the impeachment process.

The House effort was, and is, an end-run around the constitutional outline for impeachment.  This was not a flaw; it was a feature of the House creation.

I have written to my U.S. Representatives and Senators a number of times. As a rule, I receive a form letter acknowledging my letter. I have also been to Washington, D.C. and talked to them face to face. Invariably, they are non-committal. I have learned that if you do not have a monetary oblation to offer them, you are wasting your breath.

The one reporter kept saying why wouldn’t you want to hear from Bolton or other witnesses?? Well why wouldn’t that same question be given to Schiff and his clown show over in the House? Why wouldn’t they want to hear from witnesses on the Pres. side?????

As hard as it is to believe, millions of seemingly normal, reasoned, and calm people actually think A schitt wiped the senate floor with PT and his admin. Some people actually think schitt/nadler have a strong argument. That’s human nature.

I don’t know if they are stupid, lazy, biased, all the above but I do know that there would not be nearly as many if we had an ethical and honest “press” in this country. However all this shakes out, IMO, the REAL villain here is the American “press.” They have taken a bad situation and made it exponentially worse, through their DIRECT actions.

Has anyone considered the possibility that Bolton might be a Trojan Horse? Yes, President Trump fired Bolton. Yes, Bolton objected to President Trump ending the United States efforts to export democracy at the point of a bayonet. However; we should not presume that Bolton is so venile that he would perjure himself to support impeachment.

Perhaps Trump and Bolton exaggerated their disagreement to make Bolton an irresistible witness to the Democrats when in fact his testimony will support Trump? The punch line is that the Republicans then get to call Hunter Biden, Joe Biden and the Ukrainian prosecutor as witnesses.

The best course of action right now is for Senate Republicans to wrap up the trial by the end of this week, capping it with a quick vote for acquittal.

Tell the American people that there is no constitutional basis for impeachment contained in the articles that were passed by the House, and that there is no evidence presented so far that bribery, treason, or other high crimes and misdemeanors had been committed.

If the House of Representatives decides to pass more articles of impeachment after a Senate vote for acquittal, let them play that game.

Let the House resume their impeachment hearings and let them call more witnesses. Then let them suffer the consequences in November, 2020, if they do something very stupid and pass more articles of impeachment this spring or summer.

  15. Oh, those phake nooz journalists and their taunts of “what do you (Republicans) have to lose by having John Bolton testify?” Once again, those mental midgets forget about the basic premise of American jurisprudence: it is up to the plaintiff to prove the guilt of the defendant, not the defendant to prove his innocence. Shifty had the opportunity to call Bolton. He withdrew the subpoena. Then the House Democrats (not a single Republican voted to impeach) sent over articles that don’t meet the historical threshold of what constitutes valid articles of impeachment. Now the Democrats, including their shills in the phake nooz media, want a hail Mary and to accuse the Trump defenders of being afraid of hearing what Bolton has to say. I’d like any one of those idiots in the press to be charged with a crime, then have a witness appear under a dodgy set of circumstances (some story leaked to the New York Times), and be told “if you’re innocent, what have you got to hide?”.

That will unify and harden dems in opposition to future conservative Supreme Court nominees.

      To what end?

The Dems are already “hardened”; they virulently opposed every SCOTUS justice that has been approved under President Trump; even tried to frame Kavanaugh with false accusations.

Future SCOTUS nominees chosen by PDJT, including conservatives, will also be approved by the Mitch McConnell-led Senate, provided the voters hold up their responsibility and keep the Republicans in the Senate majority this November. Please read this fantastic POV on Bolton leak- well worth the short read. He thinks Trumps team might have set this up, to expose the canary.

“The latest occult dish served up by Democratic Party spirit cookers in the impeachment ritual is the release of “bombshell” news leaked to The New York Times late Sunday from a new book by Mr. Trump’s erstwhile National Security Advisor, John Bolton, purporting verbal evidence of a quid pro quo in the Ukraine aid-for-investigations allegation. Better hold the premature ejaculations on that one.

The canary trap is a venerable ploy of intelligence tradecraft for flushing out info-leakers. You send slightly different versions of an info package to suspected leakers in a leaky agency, and when the info materializes somewhere like The New York Times, you can tell exactly which canary crooned the melody. In this case, the agency was the White House National Security Council, the notorious nest of intriguers lately the haunts of impeachment stars Col. Alexander Vindman and alleged “whistleblower” Eric Ciaramella (on loan from the CIA, and now back there). Another bird in that nest is Alexander Vindman’s twin brother Col. When I was in high school (many years ago) I distinctly remember the student elections. The guy (or gal) running for SB president was usually the most ‘popular’ and the least qualified. Immature students were voting for Mr. Wonderful no matter how unqualified he was or how qualified his opponent might be. In many cases, this insane method of picking representatives in government continues today. Are these people in Washington really the best this country has to offer? Adam Schiff, Mitt Romney, Jerry Nadler, Richard Burr, Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters and the list seems endless with losers from both parties. The establishment government is corrupt from top to bottom. Then along comes an outsider, who points out these deficiencies, and determines to correct them one by one. I would certainly expect the DC deep state power crowd, and those with personal motives, to fight this tooth and nail for self preservation if nothing else. Here’s the problem I have with this scenario. Millions of voters, just like those immature students in my high school, support what has been, for years now, obvious failure and malfeasance by the ruling class. These are many people’s heroes for some ungodly reason! It’s sad that we, in this free society, are stuck with what has been dubbed ‘low information’ voters. Many people are influenced by the sound bite, talking heads, and their failure put out the effort to truly understand what they are voting for. A Star Wars movie has more import than government corruption effecting the lives of millions…. go figure. We get the government we deserve……

The Executive Branch can then exert executive privilege and the House can follow correct procedures and seek relief in the courts. It is not the Senate’s job to complete the House’s half assed, illegitimate impeachment.

No witnesses period, Shifty/Pelosi have fallen on their own sword. End it so the real investigation begin where charges and punishments can be issued. In the process class action by the American electorate against everyone individually connected from Print publication, MSM, Congressmen, Senators, Divisions of Justice etc by attaching all bank accounts. Iras trusts, stock holdings, assets etc for fines to be levied against with proceeds going directly to pay off and start calling in USA bonds, freeze everyone’s account. Soros, Bloomberg, Gates, FB, Google. These entities have cost America and Americans Billions.

Who are these beings? The ones asking the questions? They don’t seem human. They lack logic and motor skills. They just keep repeating the same questions even after the answer has been given to them in several different forms. That is not normal or coherent in a human being. So strange….

Under no circumstances should the Senate allow an end around. If it means they get voted out then it is a small price to pay for assuring their and the Senate’s integrity

What’s with the 1 for 1 thing? If the Dems get ANY witnesses, the GOP needs to call at least a dozen people:
CIAramella, both Vindmans, Atkinson, Schiff & every member of his committee/outside pro bonos that spoke w CIAramella, Nellie Ohr, Rudy, and even some Ukrainians.

OT…DiGenova’s Monday morn radio spot on WMAL said that Pompeo didn’t want to recall Ivanovitch because she is the head of some LGBTQ group at State. I thought that interesting

I’m afraid I’m going to have to be a whistleblower here, BitterC…. You have “outed” the fake, fraudulent, sham, hoax, phony, rip-off, knock-off “Whistleblower”, Eric Ciaramella… Obviously, given that nobody — including Fox News — will identify him, you must be in BIG trouble. Stand by for the Roger Stone treatment. Do you live near the water? If not, it will spare us the amphibious unit.

That’s what I don’t get. Since when did justice become a “fairness for lawyers” football game of justice. Courts are for the purpose of deciding TRUTH for the future of peoples lives, held against Constitution of honored principles. Its not about fairness, it is about Truth.

    • CountryDoc says:

That’s because, in the experience of most, LGBTQ is most likely to be a screaming, irrational, dramatic, crazy wall of drama with no affinity to reality.

Often, as I watch VSG PDJT at work, I see Mohammed Ali playing rope-a-dope.

I pray for the day I can watch Jim Jordan walk off the mat after a pin, in court, and Tucker Carson, in the voice of Howard Cosell, shouting “Down goes the Deep State, Down goes the Deep state — All of them coming out of the woodwork, exposed by Big Reveal!! Folks, it may look like a ‘Hail Mary’, but this has been in the works for years, planned by The Great One”

Floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee.

If this was a plan, the was Bolton in on it. The timing of submitting the draft manuscript before and during the impeachment trial process is pretty suspicious. Bolton will never be taken seriously as a player if he is the catalyst of the takedown of Trump. He could end this of course by withdrawing the book from publication while the trial is on, or refusing a subpoena by supporting the Presidency’s executive privilege.

  40. Gary Lacey says:

Any witnesses called to testify in the Senate may take the 5th, Bolton will not be allowed to testify,(although Trump has said he didn’t care), executive privilege.
