The UniParty Congressional Swamp’s Meaningless Political FBI/NSA Hearing…

The Congressional Intelligence Committee  hearing today was everything we anticipated it would be.  Which is to say it was: insufferable political posturing, pandering and circular parseltongue swirling the drain of non-intellectual gobbledygook.

These types of congressional hearings are perfect feed pellets for media pundits to blather endlessly, wax philosophically, and engage in long-winded academic esoteric analyses contrasting the implied meanings of stop signs.  However, they are ridiculous for all other purposes.

That said, against the backdrop of the espoused intention, and with full acceptance of the historic UniParty Benghazi hearings driven intentionally into the pit of nothingness, prayerfully I’m not the only person who noted that not a single congressional panelist asked Director James Comey or NSA Mike Rogers if they personally were the person who unmasked the identity of General Mike Flynn in the “intelligence intercepts”.

Yes, that’s correct.  There is only ONE KNOWN Factual and CRIMINAL activity currently identified: the unmasking and leaking of Mike Flynn’s name to the media.

Yet not a single congressional intelligence committee member would ask Rogers or Comey -under oath- if they were the source of: A) “The Unmasking”, and/or B) “The Leaking”.

Stop for a moment and think about that glaring an intentional non inquiry against the expressed intention of the purpose of the committee.

UniParty.

Bat-Sh!t-Crazy-Frustrating.

The Deep State doesn’t exist they say.  Skynet is not self-aware they say.  Malware is only harmful if the Russians have it they say.  Pay no attention to the embed data code on your gadgets…

FBI Director Comey states his organization is “investigating”.  Fair enough, however – not a single congresscritter asked HIM if he’s the source of the unmasking or leaks.

♦ How can a congressional committee conduct an investigation if they don’t know if the primary witness, the lead investigator, is the source of the leaks?

♦ Wouldn’t the very first step, the actual basis of the foundation for the investigation itself, be to ensure the person conducting the investigation did not participate in the illegality of the conduct being investigated?

Think.

Avoid the shiny things.

Why wouldn’t congress ask this simple question?

Admiral Mike Rogers answers that approximately 10-20 people within his NSA organization had the potential to unmask and/or leak to the media.  Fair enough.

♦ Wouldn’t the first question as follow-up be to ask Admiral Mike Rogers if he is one of those numbered possibilities?

♦ Wouldn’t the second follow-up question, in an authentic inquiry, be to ask Mike Rogers if he is one of the possibilities with access to that information, then was he actually the person who unmasked or leaked?

If both Mike Rogers and James Comey admit they are in charge of two of the possible source organizations for activity that is expressly admitted to have engaged in illegal behavior,… then what affirmative confidence has either person expressed to congress to ensure the inquiring body that they personally were not the originating source?

Think.

There is NO PEA in this shell game of distraction.  Pay no attention to the google van driving down your neighborhood taking pictures.  It has emoji faces and stuff… and they won’t give that stuff to the NSA types.  Promise.  Swear.

Now, oh yeah… the shiny things:

Same old same old folks. The democrats ran a candidate under FBI investigation. This doesn’t hurt Trump on any issues we need to see through like healthcare and economy.

We did learn they opened an investigation in July and we need to know who ordered this during an election and why. We did learn a ton of Obama people can read raw transcripts of NSA data as well….

Comey NEVER investigated any of the shenanigans during the POS tenure.

    Never went after:
    Holder
    Lynch
    Obama
    Jarrett
    Rice

Only went after Clinton. One of those things is not like the others.

And now he’s going after Trump. I sense a racial component to this. Why is Comey investigating the 2 candidates for the presidency but never investigated a d@mn thing with the POS?

And why did Trump keep him on?

I don’t think he actually went after Hillary. Her private server and classified emails were revealed and in the public domain. In my opinion Comey launched an investigation a) because not to would look corrupt and incompetent, and b) to clear her of any criminality so she could be elected and not impeached after being elected,

Correct! Crimey didn’t go after HELLary–he was told by his handlers to conduct an investigation, because the huge amount of objective evidence of her criminality was already in the public eye. Had FBI failed to investigate, it would be clear indication of collusion and corruption. But while he had to investigate, he did not have to recommend prosecution, even though the evidence screamed “guilty.” Again, he did as ordered by his handlers. Crimey has been in way too long and too deep–he cannot be a “white” hat or even a “grey” one, without turning completely around and dropping the dime on some extremely powerful people. Odds are, ain’t gonna happen.

Wanna bet the IC tapped him, got dirt, had him do their bidding, then gave him an offed he couldn’t refuse to step down?

Just my thoughts. I think Comey is desperately trying to cover his butt… from both Trump and Clinton. Trump is in power… but Clinton isn’t exactly dead. Comey is a “nice guy” but doesn’t understand/care about the corruption under Clinton/Obama nor does he seem to care/understand the populist movement with Trump.
He seems to be trying to play both sides at the same time; to achieve that “neutral” look and keep his job. If he locks up Clinton, he has your support but he could be kicked out and dragged through the mud after Trump is gone. If he lets Clinton go, he could be dragged through the mud today.
I sympathize with him in that I wouldn’t want to be in a position where no matter what I did, I would be dragged through the mud and pooped on.
Anyways, I am no expert on Comey or his motives so I could be wrong, but from what I’ve seen/heard so far, I am thinking this.

  4. Keln says:

Hate to say it folks, but as lame as it sounds, Comey’s repeated defense against commenting on classified information found in the news papers is 100% correct. It’s called the “No Comment Policy”, and it serves as a last line of defense to protect classified information that is leaked. The reasoning behind it is that if the government doesn’t confirm or deny whether such information is accurate, then said information will not be seen as technically reliable.

Each department has their own No Comment policy, but they are pretty much identical. When something comes out in a publication, we simply can’t comment on it either way, even if it is blatantly false information. If it is a sensitive topic, and the information is false, we actually want adversaries to believe it, or at least to be contradictory to real information that makes it into publications, in an effort to confuse those who might use that information to harm the US or thwart our interests.

Nobody in government who is in a position to know whether leaked information is legitimate should ever comment on it, not even the wiretapping of Mike Flynn, unless it is declassified first.

With all of that said, whichever department wiretapped Flynn has the authority to declassify that information and then confirm it. The President also has that authority. President Trump has, for whatever reason, chosen not to.

I guarantee there is a lot more going on behind the scenes than everyone is seeing here. I still am not convinced who the actual good guys and bad guys are outside of Trump and his close circle. What makes me very suspicious about where all of this is going is that President Trump has the power to clear all of this up in a day, and yet he has chosen this route instead. Trump is no fool, so I am very curious as to what his play is here.

    • I agree Keln, President Trump could very easily, through the powers of the Executive, clear most if not all of this up in a matter of hours, yet he has chosen not to. He is a successful businessman not new to people trying to smear his name and destroy his career, and he is working very closely with Steve Bannon, who himself knows many of the inner workings of the DC establishment, so I have no doubt there is a plan at play here. What is that plan? Not a clue, but I bet it’s good! 😀

I sure hope you are right. I am not liking any of this at all. Our current government is so deeply corrupt and actively working against the American people, purposefully so. Trump has already stumbled on a few things, namely his travel ban EO’s, which he should have summarily ignored any attempts of “restraining order”. There is no court in the country that has jurisdiction in that matter, and Trump should have ignored such restrainment and fired back hard and strong immediately. He has also stumbled (in my opinion) on both the American Health Care Act and the budget. I do not see him getting either passed, and both probably rightfully so. While each have some good components, overall they are losers, especially Obamacare Light.

I have been a YUUGE Trump supporter, and now I am becoming nervous. Nervous that he will not be able to endure the onslaught of leftism and Uniparty, and nervous that his “team” and Congress cannot build the necessary legislature to actually make the proper corrections that this country desperately need. We need a Calvin Coolidge budget but even more drastic, and we need to completely remove Obamacare lock-stock-and-barrel, putting us back to square one, before Obamacare, then legislate from there.

Ideologically and logically speaking, none of these things are all that difficult to do, but I fear that the Trump administration, while they exist (until they are taken out by the establishment), may get none of it accomplished to any meaningful degree. We are approaching month 3, and the needle has barely been moved. Further, into month 3 we are still sidetracked to destruct the potiskem villages that are being built faster than we can tear them down.

        Sincerely,
        – Concerned Deplorable and Ardent Trump Supporter.

I understand these sentiments, but the votes for the policies we would like on some of these issues are not there. The administration does have some control, but Congress has more, and the problem is we voted in the wrong people in 2016. We need 60 senators, and we could get there if we start working on campaigning now to be prepared for the 2018 elections.

Agreed, and I understand the vote problem. I don’t understand Trump’s support for this so-called “health care” bill. Trump should have blasted it from the get-go and said “this is NOT what the American people are demanding” … “get back to work, try again” … and … “we will continue to do this until you DO get it right, no matter how long it takes, but just remember, the longer it takes, the more of you will lose your jobs”

As for the budget, he has complete control over that, and further, if it were me, I would have put forth my budget and told Congress “I will veto any other budget proposal, period”. Calvin Coolidge did this in 20’s, he too was fought against in Congress. But when it comes to budget, the President really does have a whole lot of control, he just has to have the balls to use it.

No, I believe the DOJ went to FISA court. I don’t think the president has any authority to go to FISA court. Yes, the DOJ worked for Obama, but there is a distinct line between who can go to FISA court to get things and the administration is supposed to keep an arm’s length from these things. Plus, and this may be even more important, it came out this weekend that Trump was under surveillance starting with the George W Bush adminisration’s DOJ. Bush started it, not Obama.

I’m not sure about FISA rules, but no one can confirm that a FISA warrant was applied for. That is, no “public record” of it. We have media reports as usual, but that’s hearsay. So when you see people pointing to this, the response is “so what?” We need actionable evidence, admissible in a court of law. The media is not “the record” of anything in the law.

Trump is a monolith standing up to massive fraud and corruption. He must be destroyed and you can’t do that with bullets nowadays. You do it with information. In fact, it’s more important that you do it with information so that everything about Trump is discredited.

The truth is irrelevant to Trump’s opposition. I hope Trump is as strategic and tactical as many claim on this site, and that he is not as cavalier as many (on his side) seem to be. Otherwise, he will be outmaneuvered soon.

I agree the attitude on here from a few is cavalier and that people need to be serious about this issue. President Trump, Sessions, etc. could have a plan, but WE are responsible to call our representatives and senators and ask them their reasoning for not investigating the Clintons when she was in the Obama administration and set policies with Russia. Don’t put this all on the administration when the American people need to show Congress through rallies and contacts that the Democrats should be investigated for their connections to Russia.

I think the Democrats are serious about wanting to impeach this president, and Vice President Pence would not be strong and does not have the same desire to win an election. The Democrats are NOT weak, and we need to stop underestimating them. The Democrats have suffered historic losses, but the defeats don’t mean the funding, infrastructure, etc. have disappeared and have been just as weakened.

The same local people in places like Broward, etc. control election offices and can still use fraud to ensure we don’t have honest elections. No, fraud is not just a national issue, and I ask those who are concerned to sacrifice some time, go to True the Vote, and learn about getting the rolls to see who is ineligible. I also ask that people shift their priorities from hobbies and sports, even for their children, to getting involved and running for local offices so that Democrats and the establishment don’t control who can win in 2018. We undermine our voice when we don’t get involved and just spend time on the Internet complaining. Now is the time for people to start getting involved, not after primaries when establishment candidates have won again. We need to find candidates now, not wait until time is running out to see that we have made mistakes in who has received our votes.

No, it’s not too late. We still have the ballot box to use to get them out of office. The problem is whether the American people are up for how long a process this will take. It will take far more than one election. The House and Senate to not all come up for reelection at the same time. Plus, the American people will have to be educated and committed to carry on for election after election (for at least decades and more than likely generations) to completely take the government back. It will take far longer than the one or two terms Trump will be in office. Only a fool would think it could be a short, quick process. And once Trump’s gone, the UniParty will probably take over again like they did after Reagan. If it results in violence then the American people will lose. The weapons available to the military are far more advanced than the American citizens have. Plus, they would call in other countries like China, Cuba, etc. to help get the American people under control. It would be a bloodbath.

You’ve hit on a very important question. I’ve been harping on it along with a few others here since back in the primaries. We should have thrown them out then but too many people thought Trump would be all we needed. And, of course, we’re never going to be lucky enough to get them all out. Too many Americans won’t give up the money they get from the government from the people in Congress who give it to them. It would be wonderful if we could get them all out quickly and I’m all for fighting to do it, but my guess is that AT BEST we’ll get a few out each election, probably less than 10% of them, and it will be a long, slow process if we can teach our children and grandchildren to continue the fight and pass it along to their children. Right now about 10% of those in the House and Senate are worth keeping. We’ve got a long way to go. And the hearings we’re seeing in Washington about Trump and the Russians is just a warning to Trump to back off. They are threatening impeachment if he doesn’t do things their way. Fortunately he’s strong and won’t go down without a fight, but I suspect we’re going to see a fight beyond what we’ve ever seen ever president go through. We all need to be united behind him and be ready to push back as hard as possible.

Yes, Dave R, I think you’re right, unfortunately. This will take time. We The People must decide HOW much we value our liberty. Some years ago one of my activist friends knew of someone who said they discovered that there were (or are) those in our military who would fire on American citizens. Younger generations (with some exceptions) have been propagandized, but I never thought I’d see the huge rallies for Trump that I saw last Fall. There is hope. But it will take time and eternal vigilance.

Do we have evidence that these folks are interested in following electoral outcomes? We are witnessing an orchestrated effort to remove Trump because they disagree his agenda. This is a group that shows a willingness to violate the law, uses the executive branch to target the opposition, uses the courts to render decisions hostile to the Republic, uses the media to overwhelm the public with disinformation, pits racial, demonize the deplorables (Jews of our time), and ignores the basic interests of the American people. The uniparty is in an open state of rebellion against the Republic. I am not sure it is sound to assume they are interested in such games. The ballot is fundamental but, while pursuing normal means, we need to be honest about what we are up against.

New York’s other senator, Hillary Clinton, sat out the maneuvering because the Southern District was—and still is—investigating Bill Clinton’s pardons.”

What Comey doesn’t understand is that he is responsible for the lack of trust that we as Americans have for any of these silly fake investigations. If anybody did what Hillary did with classified and top secret information, bleached-bit 33000 emails under subpoena, we would be in prison.

“A Justice Department intelligence veteran, employed by the FBI, unveiled a stinging indictment of how one of the country’s top law enforcement agencies manipulates evidence garnered from wiretaps, which many times can be rogue and illegally conducted by contractors hired by the bureau.

These revelations echo allegations waged by President Donald Trump, despite the counter claims of FBI Director James Comey

Comey is largely considered more partisan hack than honest Boy Scout. Whether or not he attacks Trump to create a smokescreen on what is happening under his FBI tutelage, FBI insiders say they routinely skirt federal laws to enhance criminal cases including active wiretaps

The FBI makes its living telling lies. Agents lie to criminal suspects to spark trick confessions. Agents tell outright lies to judges to secure search warrants and to wiretap phones. Agents, backed by the Justice Department, offer fake deals to secure plea bargains and never deliver on the promises. Agents set up elaborate stings, built on lies and deception to entrap clueless dupes into believing they could be domestic terrorists. They end up in jail while the FBI gets faux publicity for keeping Americans safe.

Expect similar law enforcement theater and slight of hand from Comey on Monday when he divulges his alleged investigation into President Trump’s make-believe ties to Russia and why his understudies wiretapped Trump Tower during the 2016 election. Or if Comey claims they didn’t wiretap his offices. Either way, Comey is not to be believed.

So Comey made an exception to his policy of not commenting on the existence of investigations by confirming there has been since July of last year an investigation that is still ongoing into election tampering by Russia Russia Russia. He went even further by stating that this investigation includes possible alleged (bogus) collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia Russia Russia. (sorry, nervous tick from all this russia russia russia nonsense).

Comey also stated emphatically that he has seen no evidence to substantiate President Trump’s tweets about having been wiretapped/surveilled.

The disgusting dims were allowed to spew the most outrageous, egregious allegations via ugly rhetorical questions and even uglier rhetorical statements.

Did even one republican congress critter ask the obvious question to Comey and/or Morrell?

“How can you (Comey, Morrell) conduct such an intense investigation – since July, and with no end in sight – about possible collusion between Trump campaign and Russia Russia Russia WITHOUT said surveillance?”
