Perhaps with time permitting a little reflection it is prudent to clarify the intents and purposes of the Treehouse community.

A conversation about what’s happening, but more importantly about ‘why’ it’s happening, whatever the happening appears to be.

If you peel back all the visible layers (amid the storylines), placed by the people and organizations participating in the various happenings, you will eventually find a single set of ideological truths.

All of the “fundamental change-isms” are about filling voids. More directly, the layers of time present as people, like bricklayers, trying desperately to fill voids from the outside in.

The substance of filler may take on this type of formula: If we take from them, and give to them-others, then things will be better…..  Or, if we take from them, and give to ourselves, we will be better…… Or, if we can only just make them _______ !

But it, all of it, revolves around the perception of not having something, and the perception of needing something external. (more…)

From media descriptions this Louisiana attack -in this latest Knockout Murder- are almost identical to the one which killed victim Colton Gleason in St. Cloud, Minnesota.  In the Minnesota case 18-year-old attacker, Jesse Smithers was sentenced to 10 years last Thursday.

In both cases the similarly aged black attackers picked a random white target then punched them in the head causing their victims to fall down and hit their heads again on the sidewalk – which led to coma and eventual brain death.

BATON ROUGE – Baton Rouge Police have arrested Windall Lavel Herring, 19, 8211 Perkins Rd., for 2nd Degree Murder.

According to a report, police were called to 1600 Lake Calais Court on February 1st, 2014 around 9:30pm in reference to an unresponsive man lying on the sidewalk bleeding.

The victim, 55-year-old white male John Bannon, was transported to an area hospital where he died of his injuries on February 14th.

The Coroner’s Office ruled Bannon’s death a homicide, stating that he died from “blunt force closed head trauma which caused lethal hemmorrhaging to the brain.”

“A possible motive is that the teens attacked Bannon because they wanted to see who could hit the hardest,” said a BRPD spokesman. (more…)

Via Weasel Zippers – WISCONSIN – Mobsters making offers that can’t be refused typically do so in the bluntest possible language, but SEIU leaders in Wisconsin are running a close second.

Gov. Scott Walker’s landmark reforms — including guaranteeing workers the right not to be forced to pay dues to a union they don’t want to join — is costing SEIU thousands of members.

The 8,385 members SEIU has lost since the reforms became law are solid evidence that before Walker came along the union depended upon force, rather than consent, to keep the dues revenue stream flowing.

From the media report the three thugs were previously known to police.  (ie.  Potential repeat offenders).

DETROIT –  You don’t want to mess with this mom!  – A Detroit woman surprised a trio of armed teen thugs when they came to try and rob her house.

Instead of sitting back and watching them steal her stuff, she locked and loaded a rifle — and then fired it as she chased them back outside.   The dramatic incident was caught on surveillance camera.

Footage shows the three teens trying to kick down her front door.  But, as they start to make their way inside, the woman pops up with a gun. She starts firing to try and scare them off, and they all run away.

One of the boys, armed with a handgun, tries his luck again and rushes the door.  But he soon scuttles off again after hearing bullets being fired in his direction. (more…)

UPDATE:  And then there were four.   Canada, The United States, Sweden and Finland have all won today and will play in the semi-finals.   (North-America will play each other and then Northern Europe)

#1 Sweden will play #4 Finland and….

…. Yep, The United States Will Play Canada !!    

Both games will be on Friday with the winner of each playing for the gold medal on Sunday and the loser(s) playing for bronze.   The USA women will also face Team Canada in their gold medal matchup.

The Tea Party is an existential threat to the establishment Republicans.
