New York – Mayor de Blasio brought down the hammer Thursday on three charter schools operated by nemesis Eva Moskowitz, leaving hundreds of kids without classrooms this fall.

“This has to be the saddest day for the Success Academy’s children, family, teachers, school leaders,” Moskowitz said after meeting with stunned charter parents in Harlem.

“Right now, our kids are being evicted. Evicted out of their school. It’s wrong and we need an explanation. You’re going to have to ask Mayor Deblasio what the motivations are for a decision that will hurt so many children now and, frankly, forever.”

In the controversy over the New York St. Pat’s Parade you find the actual root angst of “Gay Rights” and it’s nothing to do with gay per se’ it’s all about a leftist viewpoint.

You see, in the St Paddy’s day parade, New York organizers welcome gay participants.  Gay people are not barred from participation, they are actually welcome.   The problem for the liberal left is the parade organizers want the emphasis on Irish celebration.

The parade folks don’t want a gay parade with an Irish theme, they want an Irish parade with an Irish patriotic theme;  and the radical-left just isn’t ok with that.

“Parade planners have said gays are welcome to join the procession, which is expected to draw more than 1 million people on March 17, but they cannot identify themselves in any way by their sexual orientation”, according to the New York Daily News.

For the liberal-left that just isn’t good enough, it’s too exclusionary to expect the focus to be on being Irish – they demand an accommodation to be gay first, and Irish (or not) second.

Doesn’t that just about sum up what all this sexual orientation friction is about ?

That statement should strike the independent psyche as odd.   Alas, it does not…. why? Because the filtering prism witnessed (as applied) is only based on one thing, the perception of importance.

Why would skin color even factor in to whether or not the policy/ideology is wrong, unless you think the skin color is a defining factor in your view toward the policy/ideology.

Like most within the professionally aggrieved class, Lemon is stating he’s black first and a journalist second.  He has to overcome his inherent sense of race, to carry out his responsibility of a journalist.   Such is the reality of something that rings true in all progressives; ideological bias trumps all else when expressed.

In Don Lemon’s case it’s his race and skin color because this is what he views as central to his own psychological definitions. Black is his foundational principle.

For non-black media types the foundational principle, which overlay their decisions, is their liberal sense of world-view.

(AP) – Ukraine’s fugitive president surfaced on Thursday in Moscow, where he was said to have been seen at an opulent five-star hotel and a Kremlin country retreat once favored by the late Boris Yeltsin.

Viktor Yanukovych reportedly was granted protection in Russia, but he has not received a warm reception. Although Russia still considers him the legitimate president of Ukraine, the Kremlin has treated him cautiously and portrayed him as a coward who betrayed those who stood by him. (more…)

Time’s up.   It ran it’s course…. but like most things seasons change.

Vinyl became tape, eight tracks became cassettes, tape became CD’s… CD’s became digital downloads, Etc.    Bill O’Reilly is a CD sale in a download world.  Few buyers.

I know the Neilson’s show it, because they are no-longer touted.  Of course, it’s still early in the transitional phase.

In the beginning phase you could still sell CD’s if you put them on sale, and transitionally VHS players combined with DVD ports in one package to try and stay marketable.

Eventually VHS disappeared completely, and K-Cars ran their course.

Time’s up.   Time to cull the herd before the brand is destroyed under the optical weight of painful visibility.   It’s getting too painful to watch now.

Last night, watching B.O.R get played by Valerie Jarrett was almost as painful as watching Mitt Romney flounder in the third presidential CNN debate replete with Candy Crowley playing the role of Jabba The Hut.    We sat in our living rooms shouting to Romney “quit trying, they’re just not in to you” –  “you look foolish”. This must be some high falutin’ fancy schmancy restaurant.   I mean $2.49 for a glass of Iced-Tea ?     Forget the Obamacare tax part.    $2.49 for tea ?    That’s nuts.

(VIA CNN)  Several restaurants in a Florida chain are asking customers to help foot the bill for Obamacare.

Diners at eight Gator’s Dockside casual eateries are finding a 1% Affordable Care Act surcharge on their tabs, which comes to 15 cents on a typical $15 lunch tab. Signs on the door and at tables alert diners to the fee, which is also listed separately on the bill.

The Gator Group’s full-time hourly employees won’t actually receive health insurance until December. But the company said it implemented the surcharge now because of the compliance costs it’s facing ahead of the Affordable Care Act’s employer mandate kicking in in 2015. (more…)

By now almost everyone is aware that Kerry Kennedy, the daughter of Robert Kennedy, decided to take her Drugged-Driving case to trial in order to escape her DUI charge.

Together with her attorney they decided to use the “Affluenza Defense”. 

New York – “She is a daughter of Ethel and Robert Kennedy and a niece of our past president, John Fitzgerald Kennedy,” said Kerry Kennedy’s lawyer, Gerald Lefcourt, to jurors in the packed White Plains court room.

He added that his “religious” client had two daughters who attended Ivy League schools.   She should be found not guilty of driving under the influence of a sleeping pill because she’s a human-rights activist whose life-saving work would be severely  curbed if she was sidelined by jail.

Testifying in her own defense, Ms. Kerry Kennedy wasted little time before playing the “Daddy” card.   “Daddy was the attorney general during the civil rights movement and then a senator,” the 54-year-old testified, supposedly explaining why she grew up in Virginia, but coyly invoking the memory of her slain father, Sen Robert F.
