At 200 PM EDT (1800 UTC), the eye of Hurricane Matthew was located near latitude 25.7 North, longitude 78.4 West. The hurricane is moving toward the northwest near 14 mph (22 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue today with a turn toward the north-northwest tonight or early Friday. On the forecast track, the eye of Matthew should be near or over Freeport in the Bahamas in the next few hours, and move close to or over the east coast of the Florida peninsula through Friday night.

Maximum sustained winds are near 140 mph (220 km/h) with higher gusts. Matthew is a category 4 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale. Some additional strengthening is possible, and Matthew should remain a Category 4 hurricane while it approaches the Florida coast. (more…)

Watch what they do, not what they say, and you’ll be able to spot the real polling numbers. The U.N. taking proactive steps today to ratify their insufferable climate treaty, because unlike the MSM protestations, they recognize the likelihood of a Donald Trump victory.  There is no binding-authority behind this climate maneuver, so some elements of this are ridiculously “optics only”….

WASHINGTON DC – International governments have made a power play against Donald Trump by ratifying an international climate deal earlier than expected, effectively preventing him from “canceling” the deal as he has promised to do.

The European Union’s Tuesday decision to join the Paris climate deal will push the deal over the threshold for ratification; it will formally take effect in 30 days. That means Trump, should he be elected president in November, could not “cancel” or renegotiate the terms of the agreement.

President Obama committed the United States to reduce its emissions by 26 percent to 28 percent by 2025 as part of the deal. ⇒ The agreement is nonbinding, so Trump would be free to ignore it if he wins the White House⇐  Some say Trump’s rhetoric about the deal helped speed up ratification.

Most tolls are now suspended as the Eastern Florida coastal counties along I-95 begin evacuating Westward.  Authorities anticipate 5 to 10 million people leaving the evacuation zone. Here’s the full press conference from Florida Governor Rick Scott:

• The National Guard has been activated with 6,000 on standby.
• Prolonged power outages are to be expected. Perhaps the worst in history.
• There are 7,000 power line workers on alert.
• Tolls are suspended. All roadwork and road projects halted.
• No fuel shortages as of this afternoon other than sporadic stations.

You might not know the name Marc Turi but if you are familiar with the Benghazi Brief, or more specifically with Operation Zero Footprint, you’ll likely know the issues.

Marc Turi was the guy who constructed the covert weapons shipments into Libya to overthrown Mouamar Gaddaffi (2011) and send weapons to the Libyan Transitional National Government supported by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Under the code name “Zero Footprint” Marc Turi coordinated the flow of weapons from the U.S. through the intermediary of Qatar into Libya.
Those U.S. weapons ended up in Libya and Syria being used by the enemies of the U.S., specifically al-Qaeda.  In February of 2012 Asst. Secretary of State Andrew Shapiro admitted the State Department had been attempting to relocate and buy-back those weapons since August of 2011.   However, on September 11th 2012, while those efforts were still ongoing, the attacks in Benghazi against the U.S. State Department Ambassador Chris Stevens took place, and four Americans were killed.
In 2014 the DOJ filed charges against Marc Turi essentially for non registered weapons shipments.  Turi’s defense was that the weapons were unregistered because the State Department and the CIA needed covert cover.  Elements within the CIA confirmed the basic outline for Turi’s assertion. (more…)
