Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

The good Lord above surely does know how to use His paintbrush 🙏🏻🍁
Archangel Gabriel and Virgin Annunciate – Gerard David

☘️
Thanks Bets
for posting Davids pic
I like his works
You’re so welcome my friend. I thought it was sublime and knew you would feel the same 💕
Ahhhhh!!! 💕😌🍁
Looks like Merlin, aka the Giraffe Cat for his stilt-like legs.
He grew into them and was taller than Corgi Truli, who raised him.
He was a helluva cat.
Glorious, Jake 🍁💕
Two churches!
Good morning Betsy –
Yes. He is the Ultimate Artist. I am so grateful to have been born and raised here in the Northeast. Tomorrow I’m visiting a little church up in the Mohonk Mountain area so I will get to see autumn in full bloom! Have a most blessed day Betsy.
Good morn, dear Bucket 🍁 ☕ 💕
Its a shame that the colours pass so quickly. But perhaps in knowing that they do, it peaks our appreciation of them all the more.
When I lived so happily in Wales, the road I traveled from home to work faced a large evergreen covered hill. And in the autumn there was a section which turned into a large long ribbon of gold, woven within the otherwise dark green. As if God Himself had decided to dip His paintbrush for a final flourish swept in that last little touch. Come autumn here, that’s the vision which appears before me in memory.
Safe journey and a blessed worship 🙏🏻 🍁
Thank you Betsy. The golds and the reds – when the sun hits them just right – takes your breath away and reminds you that even in this fallen world, there is beauty for us to behold. ❤️
😍 😍 😍
Mornin’ Dear Bets
By the time I got here this am, you wonderful folk were on page 3! 3!!!
Ha ha ha, that’ll teach me to feed animals first! I refuse to walk out to the barn in the dark – no one needs a broken hip that badly.
Anyway, enjoying y’all and your hard work.
I’m cooking hard boiled eggs for a picnic, because today is Kari & Kelli’s birthday!🎂 🍾 🥂 ❤️
Of course, don’t know their actual birthday, but we adopted them on October 17th – so that works.
We’re taking them up the mountain for a picnic. 🤞 The Agua Caliente creek is running – they love that!
Happy Birthday, my Sweethearts!
Oh HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your two beauties, Corny!!! WOOF!!😍
What a wonderful way to celebrate.I’d seen that your neck of the woods had some generous, much needed rain. Excellent news…hard boiled eggs for all!! 😁💕
Yes, discretion please, on early morning feedings. T’is the better part of valour after all, and I’m sure your beautiful menagerie will understand. Enjoy yourselves. Simple pleasures are the BEST! 💕
Kaylub Giamanco was called to battle. Bless him. 🙏
And here he is, Corny, castigating himself for having not gotten there sooner, wondering if he had, could he have saver the littles and a teacher who were murdered.
A question which will haunt him all his days, even though events were out of his control.
Yes, dear sis…God richly bless him 🙏🏻💔
That is an aspect of juman nature that is frustrating. Feeling guilt for surviving when others didn’t. Saving lives but becoming haunted because it was not possible to save more.
Don’t let these things ruin your life. If you need help, give your burdens to Christ.
Thanks Jake

Good October CATURDAY morning, Garrison 🍁☕ We had our first cold front move through last night. Best part? We didn’t need the AC today!! And there is a different feel to life when that happens. Every week I have so many cats to leave for friends here…so many I have to pick and choose, leaving the rest for our next CATURDAY. I keep telling myself this; and every week I and my little meme basket find so many more. So my backlog is really stacking up. Ready or not, here they come…
I have seen some very strange reactions in animals that make me believe they can see/sense things we cannot.
Gus says it is because they are on a different frequency.
I believe it, too, Truli. And the more I see, the more I believe it.
Mornin’ Truli
I know this sounds esoteric, but tis true:
The other morning, (first thing is feed kitties, or else!), the sun had just come up. I feel more melancholy about lost babies at feeding time – because I miss them more acutely then, maybe because their diets are fairly individual.
I noticed in my side vision unexpected color from outside.
Stepped outside and there was a bright beautiful rainbow – only encompassing our house!
I’m accustomed to rainbows in monsoon season, always from a western sun, the rainbow spreading miles across the valley beneath the very tall mountains. This one came from the eastern rising sun and appeared to be no more than 50 feet above me. I stared at it for 3 or 4 minutes till it dissipated and realized I was crying.
I choose to believe it was a message from Ozzie and Harriet letting me know they were safely ensconced in heaven.
I can still feel the peace days later. ❤️
What a beautiful example of love being eternal, giving us hope using God’s tools. Thank you for sharing Soaz.
I notice so much more now, as our loved ones are waving their love from heaven.
😭❤️🫂
❤️ Mrs Feline
Oh, Soaz, what a lovely experience!
I do believe it was Ozzie and Harriet saying hello.
Thank you, Truli.
You have so many wonderful posts that I love.
❤️
Somebody’s cutting onions in here…
That’s wonderful!
❤️
What a beautiful “Jesus” three minutes moment❣️❣️❣️
Surely a blessing, Lady

Fearful symmetry
😂😂😂 he’s got them trained 😂😼
And I bet they love it as much as he does 💕
I know ❤️🤗 and what a welcome to the police department 😂
That’s a British police department by the way😎 I’m surprised they haven’t jailed him yet.
Bets,
Maybe that kitty wraps a kaffiyeh round him to avoid the anti-Christian bobbies?
No kidding, he’s okay since he hasn’t posted anything.
Somewhere in a little Irish pub….
Yes.
The cat on the right has squirrel paws. Or something. 😎
I noticed that….
Hey, Bets
I’m pretty much the left side picture all the time!
I inherited my mom’s curly (really, just unruly!) red hair.
Nothing to be done – wear a lot of caps!
oh my, that’s SO hysterical
What else is Frank supposed to do at 2am?? I ask you…….😸
I see a lot of folks noted Shirley Booth’s passing.

Not joking.
Time to PARTY!! 😻

I didn’t see him first time 😂
I admit, it took me a split second 👍🏻
I know they root us on, because the food dish gets filled after the coffee 😂😂😂
Bets, I think I qualify! 🤪
Oh I definitely do!! 😸💕
The chef is in trouble 😼
I looked at the 1st photo a minute
Then I scrolled down to see the 2nd photo and LOLd
Seriously … for about 20 seconds, full LOL

Wonder if there is a pancake Nazi?
Grade school age, was in my bedroom with my cat, and big Sister walked in. Tigger was laying on his back, I told sister, Tigger adores tummy kisses. Tigger grasped that large head of hers with all 4 feet & jaws, would not let go. Sister begged, help, help.
Sister is 70 years old now, she still brings that event up !
I bet you both laugh now….then perhaps not so much. You little minx… 😉😊
First LOL of the day! 😹😹😹
Thank you!

Love this one, 🦅🇺🇸❤️
nice use of photographic depth-of-field, rendering the sharp foreground kitty against the more-smeary less-focused background
presuming it’s solely a photo
you could also create that smeary-background effect if it were a painting, simply by rendering it that way with brush stroke technique
artists these days are combining technologies such as importing a photo into software and then editing with “brush” techniques on the now-digital image
I recon … I have no first-hand involvement
… I reckon … I have no first-hand involvement in the newer digital methods, but have experience with photography and a 1-semester course that included darkroom printing on black-and-white photographic paper
Nim, my first guess is that it is AI rendering. I did many years in photography clubs.. camps & the like in B&W. (it looks a little “harsh” to me to be a real photo(s) digitally manipulated) JMHO
While I am sure there are many people that can use the advanced functions of GIMP or GNU (on Linux), I mainly use it to covertly watermark my original images & convert to a compressed jpg for posting things as most things are now in .web(X) formats that do not post here in the CTH anyway.
These days I believe most people will take the easiest path to get a product & at the least cost in time & or materials. (buying or selling mind you) & I will digress from here…
I have none…first hand or peripheral. I do love black and white photography and drawings, so this one very much appealed to me.

Morning Miss P 🍁💕 I may be joining him…

Thank you Sis, your efforts bring so much joy. I’m so grateful.
I never expected to find that here, lol.
God provides many gifts in unexpected ways, places and fellowship here at the treehouse.

It truly is the most wonderful place, this Tree of ours, sis 💕
Thank you so very much for contributing your Caterday photos, dear Bet. I always
enjoy seeing them. We are so fortunate to have a ‘net and ‘Tube to from which to draw inspiration. We both can easily remember a time when our world didn’t have the ‘net . . . I started way back with “UseNet” because, having a university position, I had access to what was a closed academic network. I distinctly recall the first time I made contact with someone else using that embryonic network. I found myself talking to an astronomer at a Brazilian U. who was as new to that truncated ‘net as I was at the time. Then along came the real internet . . . and our taken-for-granted world changed dramatically. New we take all this for granted.
Sorry I initially missed your post. I headed to bed a bit early only to wake up to our 1st glorious fall cold front of the year. My old nerve-neuropathic feet were cold so I’m wearing my first pair of warm athletic socks of the year . . . Boy do they feel good. The cooler temps with accompanying low humidity are a wonderful, celebratory change.
My neighborhood has always made a big deal out of halloween. I’m really looking forward to joining my neighbors hand out lots of candy to the hoards of little kids and their parents who traditionally show up. What a great way to welcome a seasonal change! Be well, dear Bet. As always its great to hear from you!!! 🙂

Good morning, Garrison… thanks for sharing your music with us this morning
Mornin” Dear Garrison
Taking your music up the mountain with us, however, we run the risk of no reception there.
In that event, shall listen in the hot tub tonight! Many thanks, as always. Love ❤️
It has been a while since I wanted to compile a video and salute the women of our magnificent Border Police.
Specifically, the Jerusalem Force that is mainly a counter-terror and riot control force. And, in Jerusalem that is a half Arab city their hands are full and they did have women who got killed and injured and also women who prevented very bad terror attacks.
In recent years the Border Police is one of the most desired by new recruits. Many young people want to be in the front lines of fighting terrorism and protecting Jerusalem has its own special meaning.
A salute to the Border Police Women of Jerusalem.

Is this not a miracle ???
CONTINED BLESSINGS!
We PRAY for the PEACE of JERUSALEM!
In JESUS PRECIOUS, MIGHTY, & HOLY NAME,
AMEN, AMEN, & AMEN
Amen.
😃 🇮🇱 🇺🇸 ❤️ 💪 🎶 David: Wow. This is a very special compilation (including the music you selected) that you did as a TRIBUTE to honor the powerful and beautiful women of the Israeli Border Police Women of Jerusalem.
😊 I love how it’s still okay for women in Israel to be feminine AND strong.
💛 I love the BEGINNING of this video especially.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let’s consider this for the United States!
The U.S. society would GREATLY benefit by the added Safety and by having balanced women who know their power, have a purpose, and know it’s fine to be lovely, too (rather than being trafficked or being prey to other sorts of abuse, including by overprotective parents).
The years of 18-20 (18-21 males) of mandatory service to U.S. Society would greatly strengthen our Country.
In fact, it’s likely imo that the U.S. Birthrate would go up and STAY up!
This would FIX a lot of what ails our young people (and their parents).
🙏 God: Please provide VICTORY for the Conservative Right in both Israel’s and the U.S.’s Elections coming up in the next few weeks.
And, God, please Continue to Bless, Protect, Keep Safe, Love, Heal, Sustain, Inspire, Guide with Your Wisdom, and Provide as many more Miracles as You See Fit and according to Your Will:
our David and his loved ones, all of Israel and Leaders, all of the USA and Leaders, all the good guys around the World, and the Freedom-Seeking Iranians
Amen 🙏
Amen and thank you for your post, I Hear You Now.
Amen! Thank you.
You are most welcome, David.
Thank YOU for sharing your inspiring creation with us here today!
If The Coffee Cup on Cervantes is still in business you should have some Nassau grits.
Grits!!!
“What’s a grit”??
My cousin Vinny 😂
So good with butter, real butter.
Nassau grits are a whole differnt thang!
I have tried to re-create them at home to no avail.
When my big Sis married a yankee and moved to Boston my Mother used to mail bags of grits to her.
Had to look up Nassau grits. Looks delicious. I’ll have to try it. I will also be on the NW side in Pipers Landing.
Looks like the Coffee Cup is still around. Thanks for the tip.
Charles
Have a happy move!
Soo cute, waiting for caturday 😂❤️
some comments/memories left for the song .. i loved them ♥️
“Our school bus driver installed a cassette radio and speakers in our bus back in the late 70’s. From first grade to freshman year we heard many classic songs on the way to school. Blood, Sweat & Tears was one of his and our favorites! Good times!”
“that is so neat, love it. in the 60s my bus driver at our request would take off in granny gear and make the front end come way up for us, ’64 chevrolet bus, 327 2 barrel carb, and she was an 18 year old girl, a student like us, will never forget Linda.”
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Will be done,
but deliver us from evil.
Took me forever to get back here, but I wanted to say how much I’m enjoying Mr David’s works. The Nativities are so gorgeous.
I have several Nativities we set out for Christmas – but, only ones that include a donkey! Not just because I love donkeys, but because they played such a role in Jesus’ life. ❤️
Matthew 18:20
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
The Virgin of the Annunciation – Gerard David
☘️
“You must ask for God’s help. Even when you have done so, it may seem to you for a long time that no help, or less help than you need, is being given. Never mind. After each failure, ask forgiveness, pick yourself up, and try again. Very often what God first helps us towards is not the virtue itself but just this power of always trying again.”
― C.S. Lewis
☘️
“All that is not eternal is eternally out of date.”
― C.S. Lewis
☘️
“There is one vice of which no man in the world is free; which every one in the world loathes when he sees it in someone else; and of which hardly any people, except Christians, ever imagine that they are guilty themselves. […] There is no fault which makes a man more unpopular, and no fault which we are more unconscious of in ourselves.[…]The vice I am talking of is Pride or Self-Conceit: and the virtue opposite to it, in Christian morals, is called Humility.”
― C.S. Lewis
The Baptism of Christ (central section of Triptych of Jan des Trompes)-Gerard David
☘️
Psalm 8:2-7
☘️
You have given your Son rule over the works of your hands.
O Lord, our Lord,
how glorious is your name over all the earth!
You have exalted your majesty above the heavens.
Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings
you have fashioned praise because of your foes.
You have given your Son rule over the works of your hands.
When I behold your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars which you set in place—
What is man that you should be mindful of him,
or the son of man that you should care for him?
You have given your Son rule over the works of your hands.
You have made him little less than the angels,
and crowned him with glory and honor.
You have given him rule over the works of your hands,
putting all things under his feet.
You have given your Son rule over the works of your hands.
Triptych of Jan Des Trompes (rear of wings)-Gerard David
☘️
Luke 12:8-12 ☘️
Jesus said to his disciples: “I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before others the Son of Man will acknowledge before the angels of God. But whoever denies me before others will be denied before the angels of God.
“Everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the one who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. When they take you before synagogues and before rulers and authorities, do not worry about how or what your defense will be or about what you are to say. For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that moment what you should say.”
☘️ ☘️ ☘️
DAILY MEDITATION: LUKE 12:8-12
☘️
The Holy Spirit will teach you at that moment what you should say. (Luke 12:12)
According to a 2025 study, nearly 70 percent of high school students in the United States have used some form of artificial intelligence (AI) to help them with their homework. Ironically, some have even asked it to write apology letters after having been caught using AI on their papers! For many students, artificial intelligence has become their default tool to give them just the right words.
But in today’s Gospel, Jesus promises something—or, rather, Someone—far better: the Holy Spirit. He tells his disciples not to worry when they are challenged about their faith: “For the Holy Spirit will teach you at that moment what you should say” (Luke 12:12). And what is true for the disciples back then is just as true for us today.
Try to imagine what this means. When you are about to speak up for what is right, defend your faith, or have a difficult conversation, you can seek the Spirit’s help. You can ask him for words that will enable you to speak with clarity, humility, and love. He can even help you discern when it’s best not to speak and to be an attentive listener instead!
Of course, hearing the Spirit doesn’t happen all at once. It takes practice and attentiveness. It may mean taking a deep breath and stepping back from a tense situation for a moment so that you can pray before responding. That small pause can open up space in your heart for the Spirit’s guidance. It can put you in touch with the love that God has for the other person as well—a love that can calm your fears and guide your words.
People use AI as a tool to help them work faster and easier. But the Holy Spirit is not a tool. He is a person—a divine Person—and he is inviting you into an ever-deepening relationship with himself. He wants to form you and fill you with his wisdom so that you’ll be ready to speak words that honor the Lord and draw people closer to him. And that is the greatest privilege of all!
“Come, Holy Spirit! Fill me with your wisdom and courage today!”
Ephesians 1:15-23
Psalm 8:2-7
Look at the bright side, at least you got good seating!
Are you married Jim
☘️
I see what’cha did there, Patience.
You got yer outside tiger in a tree along with yer inside tiger in taking a nap.
I have taken to calling the inside cat the “house panther” and the outside cat the “yard panther”.
I wish the two of them would get along, but the inside cat is 20 pounds and the outside cat is 5 pounds. The outside cat is marked as if it could be the kitten of the inside cat. But she’s scared of her and growls and runs when she’s in, which makes the inside cat chase her.
Annoyingly, she is scared to go in the outside house I bought her and I don’t want her to be cold this winter. Still trying to sort out a solution for winter.
Anyway, gotta love the panthers, lions and tigers of all sizes.
golly….
