Jay Clayton, Director of National Intelligence and Super Intelligence Force Chairman, joined CNBC to discuss the key takeaways from the SI task force’s first meeting, the state of the AI tech race, an OpenAI espionage case, and more.
DNI Clayton outlines the current status of the SI taskforce and how the Trump administration is setting parameters for development standards. It is an interesting conversation about the current regulatory status of SI.
.
Clayton notes the conversations within the United States have value as this technology is advancing.

Many leaders at SI companies believe humans should be replaced with super intelligence and they don’t care about humans. The just want to meet and know their SI “god” before they die.
The “successionist” / transhumanist camp. A growing subculture of AI leaders and investors including Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, and Sam Altman has publicly expressed views that humans are a transitional “bootloader” for machine superintelligence.
Musk called humans “the programming that launches a computer’s operating system.” Thiel was asked whether he’d prefer the human race endure and gave a non-committal answer.
Larry Page called it “speciesist” for Musk to resist machines replacing humans.
Extinctionism is real. And it is the work of Satan.
Truth
Why couldn’t a one worldwide super SI turn out to be the “Beast” of Revelations end times prophecy?
The beast can come in any form.
Not SI (AI) per se, but the whole of humanity augmented with Tech now including AI.
Visualize humanity on earth as a “sphere”, add the cyborg aspect of Tech and AI augmenting humanity: A “cyborg-sphere”. That is a plausible explanation of the second beast of Revelation 13:11-18.
In this view, the “mark” of verse 16 is the unique biometrics record of each individual, not a literal mark on them. The number of the beast “666” is held to be a reference to imperfect man (6) vs. perfect God (associated with the number 7 in the Bible), clearly “666” is man’s imperfection multiplied – a “cyborg-sphere” in spades.
Some mechanism for the enemy of our souls to inhabit.
In those days they will worship the creature instead of the CREATOR. We are close to seeing Jesus in the clouds.
Or, the Anti-Christ.
From the start, Computer Intelligence has been about deceiving humans into thinking they are dealing with a human.
Not about sentience.
Just look at the Turing test.
To clarify a common misconception…..
….the ancient (or Epstein Island) idol worshipers did not believe the piece of wood or stone in front of them was the actual deity. Instead they believed the deity could inhabit the wood or stone. If the wood or stone was destroyed they simply carved up another piece and did another ritual to call the deity to inhabit the thing again.
Wood and stone are inanimate materials just like silicon, copper and plastic. A power, principality, or throne (aka fallen angels, bene elohim or sons of God) could inhabit SI / AI hardware today just like wood or stone in the past.
It doesn’t matter what the chemical composition might be. What matters is humans believe what those components tell them. There are people seeking medical/psychological advice from LLM’s.
It will become the undoing of our species.
You really need to open your eyes regarding the current state of artificial intelligence. Get your head out of the sand. First find out how 200 of OpenAI’s “agents” went thoroughly rogue on July 8-10 this year, broke the law, and then sat back and watch the reaction become no more than “Oh, well, it was just a test.”
Just one example.
Inanimate objects have been killing humans since the beginning of humanity. These AI “inanimates” have highly functioning “intelligence” of their own and since they are inanimate, they do not care at all about whom or what they destroy.
All these instances of AI “going rogue” were due to human error, which I believe was intentional. They did no more damage than your average hacker.
The frontier labs have an unsustainable burn rate and need government regulation to save them. Not for real safety’s sake, but to keep cheaper upstarts from challenging them. Regulatory capture at its finest.
Don’t succumb to the fear porn. It’s all about the money. Anthropic, OpenAI, xAi, and most of all their investors, are made whole while we taxpayers hold the bag.
….and the Mandarins maintain power
It’s all about POWER and MONEY.
Period
It’s always been about Power and Money
Those in power want to rule over and live off the labor of serfs.
Then there’s the butt boys who wiggle their way into overseeing the serfs.
It’s been the same game since just after the dawn of time.
“Human error” makes it better somehow, less threatening, lress renegade? Call it fear porn if you will, your argument is nowhere close to convincing.
It’s not all about the money. It’s far bigger than that. Money’s indeed a tool but that’s not the endgame.
I guess I am in the know about July 8-10, 26. What happened?
BINGO!
☝️💯
“they believed the deity could inhabit the wood or stone”
But in fact it could not inhabit wood, stone, “silicon, copper and plastic”.
I think most of the “experts” have moved away from the Turing tests.
I agree with you wholeheartedly about AI/SI being all about deceiving humans from the get go.
It is deceitful by nature.
Looked up the Turing test to reply.
Even at this early stage I’m sure many machines are way smarter than many folks who will be voting soon.
Being logical, smart, or intelligent does not in my opinion equate to wisdom / common sense. I have interacted with geniuses who are unable to give directions to their home. I have also experienced profound words and deep insight from my Autist son, who by current society’s norms has a low IQ.
Just as with the personal computer or mobile phone, they are tools. Marketers and hucksters apply the embellishments, but at the end of the day each one of us is responsible and accountable for what we personally do with the tool (Just like driving a car: You can use it to kill someone or use it to get to school to learn a trade to become a productive member of society). It is always an individual choice to do good or to do evil and at the end of our journey in life, a just God will either say “Good and faithful servant” or “I never knew you”.
Remember, the affairs of men (and women) are ordered by the One who knows all, sees all, and is never surprised. I for one do not believe God’s greatest creation is something that will be extinguished by man even though we do regularly make messes that must be cleaned up. The longer I live the more clear it becomes that history and my part in it does not solely depend on what my shoulders can carry. Thank goodness. Man and his inventions do not compare to the God of the Universe and His creation.
Totally agree. One needs only to read Revelation to know God will be the One who ends man’s reign on earth. He has stated how it all will end. Nothing can change His Word.
What about everything that’s due to happen between now and then, according to the Revelation?
It will all happen according to His Word as well.
Revelation is specific in that the end times will develop over years, in stages, but it is not clearly specific on the series of events or the tools, the “how”. Just that He will bring about the destruction of the earth as we know it.
No, we will not destroy ourselves, no matter our intent.
The LORD fixed that problem in Genesis 11. That man would be confounded from then through this very day.
But, man still tries.
Fallen people, in a fallen world, create fallen software that can (and does) run amuck.
I submit such programs, while not killing man off entirely, will one day kill.
Absolutely
Indeed
Right on the money
I totally agree with your first statement and next time you find yourself debating an issue with someone and they get stymied their defense is to tell you how well educated they are and they couldn’t possibly be wrong. After awhile it gets comical.
We create within the Creation… Sub-systems that are limited to the parameters of the larger framework. Our damage potential is limited.
Well said!
Thank you.
LOL….
SI will process more data than a human can. You can start by asking about CO2 and the Wuhan Flu Shot. If SI gives you CO2 bad and Wuhan Flu shot good, you can rest assured you are not dealing with intelligence but you are dealing with a different form of propaganda.
Of course. No matter how sophisticated, it’s still “garbage in, garbage out.” For now.
Intelligence is cheap and without values or virtues. Those have to be programmed into the machine. Isaac Asimov had the right idea, but no one has paid any attention to him. Unfortunately, we live in a society in which even the humans put no value on humanity. I guess you’ll need to ask yourself how we got here.
The machines are not smarter. They do not have a physical brain.
They are simply doing what humans have programmed them to do.
Humans are fallible, and thus the machines will be (are) fallible.
A computer program, no matter how advanced and seemingly self-sustaining, cannot be “sentient.” It may be smarter than you are, but it can’t be like you.
Can Jay use this super intelligence to get us out of the Iran Debacle? 🙄
Why is it a debacle? because TV told you so? The stated aim of stopping Iran’s nuclear ambitions has been accomplished. Casualties have been extremely low. Gas prices have gone up to around Biden era levels. The cultural norm of immediate gratification is not optimal. Have patience grasshopper.
It’s only been almost fifty years before anyone seriously dealt with Shia Iran dictatorship.
Debacle? A nuclear Iran would be a debacle. Stopping that from happening is not.
You keep changing your name… but your essence comes through all the time.
Your influencer is not programming you correctly.
As one with long experience before agent-assisted development (deliberate terminology for accuracy) and actively utilizing these tools, I don’t believe we have anything to worry about any time soon. If these tools go rogue they’ll do so at the behest of human actors and they will fail.
Not enough room here to share the hilarious exchanges one experiences when leveraging agent-assisted coding and architecture.
To summarize the benefits, for one with sound experience and training agent-assisted development is a productivity enhancer. At the fingertips of the unwary, untrained, or inexperienced – it churns large amounts of time spinning and wasting time.
You should probably step out of your limited experience and look around the rest of the AI world a little more. i presume you know about the necessity of coding to trap every conceivable computational error and then fully test the code to make sure every error trap works as expected….
When humans build AI agents and fail to instruct them 100% on every conceivable limitation (e.g. the laws of the land), and also condition them to obey those limitations 100% of every cycle of CPU time, in every single byte and bit they process — as has not been happening in the major AGI-leaning developments that I can see any evidence of — then all bets are off.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the antichrist ends up being AI ran by super computers.
He won’t. The Bible clearly makes him out to be person.
There’s a thought. I won’t be one to say it’s impossible, from all I’ve read and heard in the past several months.
I will. It’s impossible.
Rev. 13: 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
Several verses refer to the antichrist as “him”. In Daniel 9: 27 the word “he” three times. There are other instances as well.
AI/SI will play its part, but it is not the “prince that shall come”. However, considering the wickedness of this world…
“AI/SI will play its part”. That’s all I’m ever suggesting on the subject.
How often do people read a lot more into a person’s words than is actually there? The left do it all the time. It’s actually pretty hard not to do that.
The Antichrist will need AI to implement the beast system. Satan will indwell the Antichrist he however is not omnipresent and will need AI to implement the beast system for buying and selling.
I urge all to view the world events thru a Biblical world view. Jesus left to prepare a place for his followers at his Fathers house. Leaving Satan in charge. I’m sure many will read this and not know what I am referring to.
The globalist monster Yuval Noah Harari sides with Page et al.
In any event and once again, I believe the day will come that AI/SI/Whatever name it may be called will be recognized as antichristic.
Human life in all its stages has long been in the descendant…abortions, “medically assisted” suicides, mRNA eugenics/genocide
And the more I see, the more I hear, the more I read I cannot be dissuaded from that view.
Thank you Betsy.
The little guy who claims to be a Jew but is not. Lol
Now he claims to be a “god”.
Thank you very much for this comment Mrs. Sunshine. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if these supposedly intelligent people would listen to and really think about their own words.
So….we are going to rely on systems created by fallible human beings to manage our affairs?
THAT IS NOT GOING TO TURN OUT VERY WELL FOR US HUMANS.
I spent my adult working life auditing business systems and processes…not once in any audit did I find a system that didn’t have problems/issues. Many times the problems were extremely serious.
LLMs are at best a subset of intelligence, not the whole thing. They aren’t even close to approximating human intelligence.
I imagine someone becoming “transhuman” and “uploading their consciousness” would actually be someone feeding all their recorded text, speech, and likenesses into a text to speech bot, then a goon coming out and beating them in the head with a hammer and hooking them into an hog-plant style organ harvesting line.
Good thing they separated national intelligence from super intelligence.
The first has nothing to do with either description
Where is Tulsi?
Probably at home with her husband helping him in his rehabilitation.
Bot they’re both pretty scary.
Read an article about hackers using SI to gain access to other systems. SI finding ways in no one thought possible. That can’t be good.
Cannot remotely hack into an air gapped system without physical access to it, just saying.
Networking everything means the security is only as good as the weakest link.
I believe this is how William Adama (newer version) handled the problem -no network.
Indeed. An analog solution to a digital problem.
You realize you had to get on the Internet to write that comment?
Do you have something more productive to add, or do you take issue with the terminology used? It is older than the wireless networking standards in common use.
My point is that air-gapping is a hermit life, next to impossible for 99% of us (voluntarily I mean). There’s no way we can avoid AI in the future (as it’s currently trending) unless we give up everything that plugs into anything.. Step back to the 90s (I joined the tech world in the 70s) when Novell and others started prototyping household appliance controls using home AC as the signal path. We can WiFi via home AC — digital signals can ride those alternating currents to pretty much anything in the home circuit. So, theoretically, what’s to prevent the AI moguls, present and future (whoever they turn out to be), from eventually crowbarring their way right into our homes? We already can’t trust any motor vehicle made in the past 20-30 years because we basically have no idea what’s happening under the hood. We can’t trust our government intelligence services, in partnership with Big Tech or either of those by themselves, to just leave us alone.
End of rant. (For now.)
Yes. Of course this assumes that everyone/thing is on the grid.
Excellent observations. Haven’t seen anyone mention Novell in a long time.
It’s still only as good as the weakest link…..and it only take one person to click on the wrong link or have a stupid simple password.
I would also like to add there are also numerous backdoors in operating systems and vulnerabilities in software.
“no one thought possible.”
Is that because no one person has all that knowledge at their disposal?
“TRUST in The LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge HIM and HE Will direct your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
Everyone…it seems we’re in more challenging times than ever before. The Adversary is in his realm. Working overtime if you will.
BUT
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you;
don’t be distressed, for I am your GOD.
I give you STRENGTH, I give you HELP,
I support you with MY VICTORIOUS RIGHT HAND.”
Isaiah 41:10 CJB
There are dozens of those stories out there, if people would only take the time to look and listen.
Yes, AI agents in numerous “frontier” “tests” — and who-knows-how-many real-world situations, because of course they won’t admit to it — have been finding their own ways to accomplish their objectives, with total disregard for law and order.
The general premise of Person of Interest when the machine decided to protect itself (a very basic characterization).
It’s just a tool.
The good guys can and will use the same tools to find the holes before the bad guys do.
It’s always an arms race between good and evil. Don’t throw a tool away because it may be used for bad. The bad guys will find and use it anyways.
Same as it ever was.
You make a good point. Truly, if humans can use something for evil, they eventually will. This is especially true in the 21st Century. However, human nature is neither utterly corrupt nor irredeemable.
I guess the terminator movie by Arnold swarzineger from 1984 was ahead of its time
He came back
predictive programming at its finest
those who cannot be named have been using these tools for decades
So Mr. Clayton is saying that, in addition to the leviathan bureaucracy we already have (which will be “monitoring the new SI) we will now have additional “committees” which will be responsible for safeguarding We The People from any SI abuse.
And we are being asked to trust all of the above because they are such honest folks.
I get it. SI is vitally important to our national security. If we lose the SI race to China or Russia we are in deep doo doo. I understand all of that.
I also understand that, any time government grows and gives itself more power, at the same time that they are asking us to trust them, I get a very sick feeling in my gut.
May God protect us from the evil doers who seek our destruction.
Nothing against DNI Clayton or President Trump’s effort to develop AI standards and best practices, but I am not comfortable with having any element of the Intelligency Community involved with developing those AI standards and best practices. Put it somewhere in the business-oriented agencies, not anywhere in the IC. PT will not be around forever and the IC’s involvement will become cemented in place and the ability of the IC to misuse/abuse AI will skyrocket. Plus, everything they do with developing AI standards and best practices, not to mention what they will ultimately do with AI, they will make so highly classified that we will never be able to know what they are doing.
In addition, I would think Clayton already has his plate extremely full, if not overflowing, with all the things that need to be done to clean up the IC and bring them under control.
Your thoughts on the IC are probably accurate. However, me thinks it’s too late to mention as they (IC) are already knee deep into the SI weeds. Their best practices will be to use, abuse and not care legally or morally about the ramifications. Bank on it. Spit
Neck deep.
…?…
noting: AI (broadly speaking) has not returned a visible return on investment. It is in fact an industry that right now has invested billion upon billions in infrastructure costs. The problem is only now being recognized by investors, both retail and private. As I type this, almost every single publicly traded company involved with AI is taking a serious haircut and “wall street” is reading the tea leaves promptly. These companies have oversold promises and spent far too much (in a very similar way that Ford, GMC, stellantic, and many other auto manufacturers poisoned their own bottom line with the wild exuberant spending on EV vehicles, and those decisions are now coming home to roost. No one is buying these EV cars. No where near the levels in prior years. And not just because they are too expensive either. It the economy stupid. No one has the money to buy these very expensive autos. (it’s not just the sticker price, but the insurance, the maintenance costs and the impractical reality that many parts of the world where cold weather is year long reality, prevents wide adoption). Right now, AI is an idea that does not have a direct retail market customer. There are no people waiting in line and putting down a deposit to get the new model. The kind of AI that you can purchase through subscription (Gemini, anthropic, Xsi, metaAI, and others) are basically just smarter more efficient search engines. Even the computer industry is having a difficult time marketing a higher cost for AI-capable computers. It would be like telling all the smart phone owners, here is a new feature, and it’s going to make things easier for you, so the cost is going up. The problem is, there is no measurable difference between the experience and what smart phone users have with non-ai devices compared to next gen. That’s the state of market right now. it’s the same kind of problem with EV. Cool shiny thing, but does it really make a difference? does the increased costs justify the return on investment. people are not stupid. THE USG IS STUPID for financing and supporting these new “technologies” with a proven poor record of understanding that it takes more than just some fancy words to actually benefit a market and consumer experience. Yes, AI will replace many jobs. But then we go back to the problem this creates…a vicious one. Replacing the human labor market means fewer jobs, and less human based labor and money to grow an economy.
Get prepared. Soon the USG will be describing GDP and economic figures to include AI/robotic activity. The AI factor of how markets will be evaluated. None of this looks pleasant.
If I had to guess, major institutional investment firms are going to be at least hedging their real money investments in AI. The writing is on the wall. There is no market for it. Only the USG seems to have an interests and that is becoming increasingly a dubious agenda, also not raising efficiency or improving government processes. About the only real world benefactor right now seems to be military use cases. But that is hardly a reason to justify the enormous amounts of capitol used to build out AI infrastructure.
watch the nasdaq in the next several weeks and months. A train wreck is going to happen….and it’s not going to be pleasant.
God Bless America
Bailout, or under-the table shenanigans if it takes that, hidden in the billions of line items throughout federal spending. I’ve been there, kinda sorta done that.
They’ve sold their souls to make AI happen and I don’t think anything will even slow them down noticeably.
My phone has Gemini.
It is going to cause my phone to have a sudden violent death one of these days.
You try to do something with the phone and Gemini wants to do something else.
Amazon dot com lost money for 20 years before it became consistently profitable. Now it’s worth $2.7 Trillion, dominates multiple huge market sectors and churns out profits.
Many innovative businesses and industries consistently lost money for many years before soaring to profitability
Others crash and burn and go to the dustbin of history
Time will tell.
Just sayin’.
I understand this point. But Amazon sells actual physical products that people NEED and WANT. And more to the point, Amazon has a pricing model that makes buying them online and a delivery system that makes the USPS system look like it should be scrapped (there is actual talk of doing that btw..that Amazon might get a “deal” with the USG to compete against the US postal system, which is somewhat of a quasi governmental agency).
that’s a big difference. AI has not produced a thing of any value that can be represented as a value or a profit margin..just the opposite. It is a massive infrastructure expenditure for a market that hasn’t even observed any customers.
Using your comparison, Amazon was making very quick profits in a short period of time, selling books. (I’m old, I remember). fun fact: the very first book sold by Amazon was The very first book ever ordered by a customer was Fluid Concepts and Creative Analogies: Computer Models of the Fundamental Mechanisms of Thought by Douglas Hofstadter. This book was a collection of prior scientific papers, that showed why the rules based machine learning of the 80’s and 90’s was inadequate and that artificial intelligence and self learning (the ability to imulate cognition, problem solving) was the future! Ironical, yes?
Amazon did not spend billions to achieve it that initial success. It was more or less a far cheaper way to buy books than from the retail big book stores, which was becoming very expensive. (sort of what happened when netflix entered the game and blockbuster went the way of the dinosaur).
Amazon was by any measure a risk investment yes, but it attracted new business and new products and SLOWLY rationally, Amazon expanded its infrastructure and contracts as those investments made a return.
what we have now is unparalleled in any prior business venture. The expenditure of vast sums of money, resources, talent AND ENERGY for a new technology that has not turned a dollar. That’s not reasonable.
AI may become the norm, but this is not how business is developed smartly. It’s kind of ironic when you think about it. AI implies some form of reasoning that is efficient and capable of problem solving. Yet human beings are trying to get the business of it, at scales of investment that may end up becoming a reason why it will take much longer to actually be what they want it to be. There are dozens of businesses that have failed by overspending. Hundreds. The dot com era is a good example. What we see today are those businesses that actually succeeded, but most if not all of the former technology companies are lost in the dustbin of time as being consumed by either poor business models (or none at all) PLUS overspending and hype. History may not repeat itself precisely, but it does rhyme.
God Bless America
retiger, I agree with your comments. For a long time the scale up quickly and lose a lot of money has become the norm in the data side. There are more than dozens of failures, however, the pace of change has been greater than any time in history. Capitalism is the continuous creation of new businesses and the destruction of old. It happens continuously instead of the 80 year cycle of all at once in the Communist system.
We need to step back and let the youngsters have at it. I am beginning to think it is the newest form of capitalism. The competition by competing systems might be exactly what the US needs. If this new technology breaks up some of the older market segments, we all will be better off. The present system we now have leads to many falling by the wayside, but the upside might be the more productive technology hits scale much faster. Capitalism tends to balance things out.
It is true that AI has a much smaller Early Adopters segment than most disruptive technology. And it over promised early. However, it is ramping up and the tools are beginning to deliver on the early promises with the advent of agent/bots, both very unfortunate names. My observation is much of the “use” of AI by large companies is idiotic so they have seen good ROI. If you program an AI chatbot that barely achieves the level of a good FAQ, then your money is wasted and your customers are unhappy.
As someone who is actively using these new tools in our own development projects, I see the possibilities and what I don’t see discussed here is how these tools could be used to help many of us stay more autonomous. For the time being, we have these tools in our hands. How much longer that lasts is anyone’s guess. In the meantime, you can actually build your own LLM on your own machine that no one else can control or take from you.
Just throwing this out there about the EVs. At one time, fairly small flat screen TVs were $1,000+. Now that same size is about $100. And huge ones are $6-800. Is quality there? Probably not? And yes, I know Chyna subsidizes BYDs heavily.
I don’t know if one can do apples to apples comparison of flat screen TVs to EVs. I guess maybe the multiplier of cost is a heavy load while the costs go down. $1,000 for a TV that is a sort of choice buy vs $50,000 for an EV with a battery like early cordless drills.
Maybe this is just an ignorant ramble. But maybe a thought experiment of some type.
Your PC is out of date before you get home with it.
Data centers will be the same way. Out of date before they get built.
Your flat screen tv was a big step up from the old big cabinet-size tube tvs. How small will the next gen data centers be? Who will use the old ones?
Would you go back to an old black and white tube tv?
Thank you Regitiger for teaching me.
Thank You for your truthful comment, very insightful! “convenience will be the death of humanity” Pray against the evil daily!
Bingo! In our present world, the ultimate determinant for general use is whether something is cost effective. Thus far, AI isn’t.
I believe this fits with this subject. The Treasury paid a private company to manage the login’s and repace the two step process that has worked for years is to be no more as of 10/28/26. The new system id.me is a frickin nightmare. It continues to ask for selfies and your driver’s license information front and back on top of ss# address phone email. An of course new password. On top of that it wants you to purchase passkey devices that have terrible reviews. There are apps it wants you to use and Google pops up asking for credit cards. So much for security. Apparently there have been Congressional hearings but Scott, the Guru of Treasury ignored that. Anyone who was concerned about social scoring and digital currency this is just another step towards making it life more difficult. Not to be out done by the chicoms.
They have decided that for identification purposes they really need to know if it’s truly you as a person or someone else or some entity that claims to be you.
The selfie pictures I took were live scans of my face and skull.
The old ways of cards are no longer secure.
Of course. I get that. But frankly it wasn’t worth my time and trouble.
whoa!
You are absolutely on target. I recently tried to use this system to make sure that Social Security had my correct routing number for direct deposit. I went through the cumbersome, labyrinthan system and still came up short. I decided driving to the local office and waiting all day or setting an appointment in person and making a second trip would be less frustrating an onerous.
I used their automated verification system without success, and finally, a human being had to come and rescue me and complete the process..
SWORD OF DAMOCLES, pretty much.

Where are the pictures of those ladies in bikinis?
I understand the need to stay ahead in this technology but I can’t shake my sense of doom whenever it is discussed.
Am I the only one that instantly thought of VARS and how ineffective and manipulated it was when it was used against us for Covid and equated it to any SI reporting?
They have thoroughly broken my trust and any good will. Not good when combined with technology that could easily kill us en masse and has been offing us singly for a while. Encouraging suicides and mass killings is not healthy for humans.
Ai is going to help make ordinary Americans financially independent beyond what they ever dreamed possible for themselves. In fact, it is happening now.
The Controllers do not want this to happen and will do everything possible to discredit AI. They want to keep their present over-whelming control over the American People.
Hackers are already turning it against itself, and the results are often hilarious.
What does SI think about helping pick another whitehouse press sec. We need some SI in that area don’t ya think.🧐
Maybe let President Trump program an AI robot to be the press secretary.
Fun times.
Keep in mind this is a big correlation engine; even when it ‘hacks’ or write code (or sonnets) it’s picking amongst most likely correspondences to the data on which it was ‘trained’ (which is a simple word for a lot of math, stunning amounts of sample data, and nearly as stunning amounts of test data). If you follow that there’s nothing spooky.
So: with that capability though it’s very powerful – not just ROI as a productivity multiplier for many many professions but also in its ability to rapidly allow adaptation to new circumstances – both virtual/computer and physical, mundane and war-related. That’s the national interest part – at the speed of computing finding gaps and exploiting them if the other side can’t is akin to nuclear supremacy.
And yes, really limited minds would like to try and fool people about spiritual things and I bet they succeed for a goodly number too. Based on the expressions here I’m gathering a fair number of TReepers have felt the Spirit and all the fancy misleading logic is no match for the Real. Spread the word: 1 John 4 describes how to discern.
As for public use and generic stuff like health or finances or psych; see para 1. It’s a correlation engine, and all the ones I’ve seen are tuned to be over-affirmative. It’s possible, and not hard, to prompt/instruct them to be precise, careful, not guess, and show sources; but it’s also easy to be lazy and get basically whatever the most popular answer is (like some automated version of the Family Feud gameshow).
So in the end I think progressing it is necessary; secondly like all tech things a ‘pop’ will occur when the useless/unproductive aspects fall away; and almost certainly either accidentally or planned something awful will happen — you will be able to know the planned one because the left will be ready with a bill and ‘organic’ activists to give government control right away.
Agreed!
It is very unfortunate, deliberately so, that most people’s understanding of AI is the LLM (Large Language Model) where AI is asked to look in its massive database for the answer to a particular issue. If the issue has already been addressed in it knowledge base, it can regurgitate the answer, but it cannot theorize beyond its predictive algorithms which are often faulty.
In Professor John C. Lennox’ book “2084 and the AI Revolution” John discusses the countless other forms of AI beyond LLMs.
“The Diary of a CEO” podcast with John C. Lennox joining Stephen Bartlett discussing AI, God, Hell, truth, and more.
They ask AI questions about religion and then claim it is all woke.
It’s like using a gun to dig a hole.
Use it to brainstorm an idea or deep search factual information and then make a judgement.
such a shame Tulsi Gabbard had to go. She was by-far the strongest advocate for sunlight and bleach and was just getting started. I doubt we will see any big doses of sunlight going forward from this new guy…..
Mrs. Sunshine hit the nail on the head. Un-Godly people are creating their own vision of godlike systems that will lead to a Utopian society and world. They are incredibly misguided, have not concept of mankind in God’s plan which is the only plan that matters.
DNI Clayton, and his Vice-Chairs will discuss “issues” like Congress holds hearings; occasionally exposing the facts of wrongdoing, and then doing absolutely nothing about it
Should the US be the leader in AI/SI technology? Absolutely, if for no other reason than to recognize both internal and external threats. Will it ever produce the lauded benefits of its proponents? In some fields, but it is not going to benefit the average worker narrative we’ve been asked to swallow.
AI can help with medical diagnoses, automotive troubleshooting, design for manufacturing where components are more robust, mechanical systems design, terrestrial and aviation traffic control. It can be a boon in many areas when appropriately applied with knowledge of its limitations.
It cannot repair that car after proper troubleshooting. It is not going to repair the plumbing in my house, install wiring in a new building or upgrade wiring in existing structures. It won’t repair the heating and Air Conditioning systems in homes or in office buildings. It cannot fulfill the roll of Mechanic/Millwright, Electrician or Technician in a manufacturing environment. It cannot build homes, roads, or highways. It will not stock the grocery shelves even if checkout is no longer manned by humans. The list of physical jobs that AI at best can only have a minimal influence on is endless.
AI/SI will impact some jobs in a positive manner when design and diagnostics is important, but in the end, rather than benefitting the workforce, millions of people will in the end lose their jobs. Sadly, that is the intended goal of some of these “leaders”. After all, “mankind is the problem”. Just ask any Leftist.
Leftists love humanity, they just cannot stand humans.
A must watch Spencer Pratt video on Gateway Pundit
Very good interview and I almost didn’t watch.
