This is an update to this previous outline.   The House has voted to resume payments to the families of fallen soldiers.  However, the funding was never stopped in the first place.  The emergency death benefit was included in the original “Pay Our Military Act”; and it was affirmed as such by Rep. Howard P. “Buck” McKeon (R-CA) Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee. 
Someone, within the administration,  interpreted used the opportunity to cut off the death benefit to prove a political point.   Now, in essence, congress voting specifically to fund something they had previously funded.  Why?  To save “someone’s” face.   Grrrr.
WASHINGTON DC – The House voted unanimously on Wednesday to restore the financial payments the Department of Defense makes to the families of fallen U.S. soldiers.
Members easily passed the bill after the Pentagon said it can no longer make the payments because of the government shutdown. The Honoring the Families of Fallen Soldiers Act, H.J.Res. 91, was approved in a 425-0 vote.
The bipartisan bill was quickly developed and rushed to the floor this week after the Pentagon said it could no longer make “death gratuity” payments to families after October 1 because of the government shutdown. (more…)

On the weekend before Miriam Carey crashed her car through barricades in front of the White House and was shot to death, her sister, Valarie Carey, on behalf of 5Linx, was in Orlando and gave a check for $54,000 to the Trayvon Martin Foundation.
But there’s an even more odd twist, which we’ll begin to outline after this story:
(Via Gateway Pundit) Miriam Carey confused America last week when she inexplicably rammed her car into the White House security gate, then sped away.  It was later discovered the 34 year old woman with her young toddler in the car was most likely suffering from postpartum depression and mental illness.  Miriam Carey was unarmed, but the police gunned her down, anyway.  She was surrounded by police, in her stopped car, with a child inside.
Now, Miriam Carey’s five sisters, one of which is an NYPD police officer, want answers.

There’s a reason the enforcement mechanism for the ACA (Obamacare) is the IRS.   There’s also a specific reason why the fiscal year begins on October 1st and the calendar year January 1st. First watch this video:

Both the federal income tax code and the Obamacare tax code are based on systemic architectural baselines, “standards”, which must be in place prior to user based data inputs into the system(s) to determine the tax payers liability.
Inside the construct of this architecture you find the political risk to the Spite House, to the administration and to Democrats in general.    It is in their collective best interests that tax payers do not find out the depth of their predicted liability.   Hence, we are seeing numerous outlets reporting a growing frustration with the ACA system not providing the information.   This is not accidental, it is more likely by design. A sitting U.S. Congressman is telling the American People  not to worry, that armed guards and police attack dogs are only (solely) there to intimidate them.
Sit still and be quiet for a bit, while you think about that.

President Obama is ridiculously shrinking himself in front of an entire nation.  Do you think this is serendipity, or strategy?   Yeah, me too....

U.S. special forces raids, one successful – one not. 

Nazih Abdul-Hamed Nabih al-Ruqai’I (Anas al-Libi for short)  has been on the “kill or capture” list for 15 years.   He was a middle level al-Qaeda guy in the 90’s and thought to have been behind the cell that carried out the Kenya and Tanzania embassy bombings in 1998.
Both CNN and NBC are reporting he was captured in Libya (Tripoli maybe?)  […]

Al Libi has been a member of al Qaeda since at least 1994 and was a confidante of Osama bin Laden.  He also is a computer expert for the group and is believed to be one of the masterminds of the 1998 U.S. Embassy attacks in Kenya and Tanzania, which killed 12 Americans and more than 220 Kenyans. He has been indicted in New York in connection with the attacks and could ultimately be brought to the U.S. to stand trial.

Yesterday President Stompy Feet posed for his latest national portrait.   Today the park service admits they were told to inflict the maximum public pain during the government shutdown.  Also today, the Border Patrol reveals they have been told to “Stand Down” and ignore border crossings.
All of this why?
Because the actual truth is people are awakening to the reality that most of the federal government is *non essential*; and, quite frankly, we can just do without them.  THAT is the real risk to sellers of BIG government.   It’s the same visible reality that stemmed from the ‘sequester cuts’ which, despite all the protestations to the contrary, really don’t have impact.   That’s the real issue. A wounded water buffalo was spotted trying to give birth on the dangerous Serengeti Plain, CNN International will soon report the cause is the shutdown of the U.S. federal government.   A man in Wisconsin missed his bus because the battery in his alarm clock ran out; Damn that John Boehner. A drawbridge near Baton Rouge Louisiana got stuck this morning – MSNBC confirms the GOP caused that.
In New York, a once joyful fifth grade teacher’s chalk broke in half right when she was about to use it on the blackboard; Peter King erupts in fury – ABC has live coverage.    If the stock market climbs, or falls, it’ll be all Ted Cruz’s fault – And NBC will be there live to walk you through it.   When the planes arrive/depart typically late, now CBS will report it’s because of Paul Ryan’s entrenched ideology – last week notsomuch. WASHINGTON (AP) – The Internal Revenue Service says an official at the center of the agency’s tea party scandal is retiring.
Lois Lerner headed the IRS division that handles applications for tax-exempt status when she was placed on paid leave in May. While she was in charge, the agency acknowledged that agents improperly targeted tea party groups for extra scrutiny when they applied for tax-exempt status from 2010 to 2012.
Lerner first disclosed the targeting at a law conference in May, when she was asked a planted question about IRS treatment of political groups. Less than two weeks later, she refused to answer questions at a congressional hearing, citing her constitutional right not to incriminate herself.
Republicans in Congress have repeatedly called for her to be fired.  (read more)

McCOOK – Texas Department of Public Safety troopers briefly detained and then released about 20 people suspected of being in the country illegally Saturday morning on a farmer’s land 24 miles north of central Mission, the landowner said.
About 8 a.m. Saturday, Lee Adams said he noticed “a lot of activity” in the brush on his large rural property. He called a DPS trooper, who called for backup. A group of troopers – which included five cars and two helicopters – eventually rounded up a group of people who appeared to possibly be in the country illegally, Adams said.
But in less than an hour, the cars and helicopters scattered, allowing the people they detained to do the same. (more…)

(Via GateWayPundit) On Wednesday, BBC News reported the indefensible discovery that the D.C. Capitol Police’s SWAT team was ready to neutralize the Navy Yard mass shooting.
But, the highly trained and heavily armed, elite tactical group was, instead, ordered to stand down and leave the scene.  The Capitol Police promised a full investigation.
Today, BBC News reported more disturbing information.  No one has talked to the SWAT team members.  Not even for the protocol debriefing.  But, not only have members of the SWAT team not been contacted, the department “has installed a new leader”.  Without explanation.
