Many people are looking at the number of votes Democrat Governor-elect Gina Hinojosa received in Texas and wondering how it is possible. Hinojosa won more votes than Kamala Harris in ’24 and beat incumbent Governor Greg Abbott by almost a million votes. How is this possible?
Well, to understand why Texans voted blue, perhaps it is worthwhile listening to the candidate. I would challenge readers to set aside their expectations and just watch five minutes of a lengthy interview Hinojosa gave. She sounds like a much better candidate than Greg Abbott. WATCH – Prompted
She may well believe in some stuff other social stuff that is completely looney, but in her presentation of the “economic populism” message, she is far more eloquent than most of the GOP candidates.
There is no possible universe where the people of Texas went from voting 67.5% republican to every single county turning blue in just 2yrs.
the answer is cheating – Talarico and Gina got all their votes the exact same way Biden got his, and until the GOP gets smart enough to play the same game, they will continue to lose until all of America is blue.

100% agree. Not at this scale. I don’t think every flip was cheating b/c Texas is infested with lefties now and that’s the sad truth, but I think that there were hijinx in many counties where the results look so surprising today vs established past trends. Razor-thin margins, maybe… but not what we see in some of these places.
We needed the SAVE act, and the Rinos blocked it. Be mad at the Rinos (Thune/etc…). You can’t hate the media or Rinos enough.

If we could have a real postmortem on the midterms, I think you’d find that the voting machines’ tabulations have been manipulated (by Chinese using AI) and creating so many unexplained / unexpected winners in gubernatorial and county elections that there are too many to challenge. There are not enough courtrooms to hear all the cases. This proves that the CIA is not under the control of President Trump and their collusion with China and E.U. is overwhelming. “It’s not who votes, but who counts the votes.”
As they say in the military…briefs well. Let’s see where the cards fall with our new Governor. The best thing we, as Texans, can do is to remain vigilant and active in our communities.
As a Roman Catholic I can state that I never once heard of Hinojosa’s first pregnancy and the fact she carried it to term knowing her baby would die. Quite moving. Revealing how our lives and the media we focus on prevents us, at times, from learning about people we may disagree with on many issues culturally.
This was Abbott’s shot at a 4th term. Usually, you have worn out your welcome after the 2nd term. I think Abbott was past his sell by date.
Stop blaming Californians! The “Californians moved here and voted Texas blue” theory is cute, but wrong. How do I know? Because my wife and I moved from California to Texas in 2022. We moved to GET AWAY from California. Watching California deteriorate at a rapidly increasing pace was just too much. The last straw was when the state was moving toward requiring covid vaccinations for students to attend school. We picked up and moved.
We are hardly alone. I know LOTS of families that moved to Texas to get away from liberal hell holes. One of those families came from SoCal. Two families came from New Jersey. Our neighbor across the street, who flies his Trump flag and “Don’t Tread On Me” flags, from Michigan. These families are Charlie Kirk loving, not-afraid to be “loud and proud” conservatives.
The influx in population that Texas has gained, particularly since 2020, is a form of Balkanization where conservatives are seeking a more reasonable life. Think about it? Why would a liberal leave their socialism paradise like California to be miserable in Texas? They don’t! My liberal in-laws don’t even want to step one foot in Texas to visit us, yet alone consider moving here.
Sure, there’s always going to be a small percentage of folks who moved to Texas and carried their Democrat voting habits with them. And, yes, there are those who moved here strictly for work or because their company re-located to Texas, and stayed true to their liberal ways.
But, I am telling you, Californians are NOT the cause of what just happened. That’s a lame cop out for, in my opinion, fraudulent results.
