Economics, Modern Conservatives, The 2016 Election and The Import Export Bank…

In 2009 the popular conservative opinion was to declare the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision a win for “our side”.   Of course, the decision ultimately opened the floodgates for unlimited corporate spending in elections via the new Super-PAC approach.
In 2016 90% of all American’s polled believe there is too much special interest money in politics, and both political parties no longer need the financial support of the electorate.  Corporate lobbyists were always problematic, but now in a post CU world they control almost every aspect of electoral politics – including who wins elections.  Citizens United wasn’t a win, its consequence was a major fail.
Uncle Sam Hopeless
Within that reality you find one of the synergies between candidate Donald Trump and candidate Bernie Sanders.  The popular insurgencies supporting each candidate rail against the corrupting corporate financial influence. Party leadership? Meh, not-so-much.
Of course it would only take RNC and DNC rules changes, ie. self-regulation, to stop the problem of unlimited corporate funding; but when the political party leadership has that much access to money, well, they have no interest in regulating it away.  Ergo, legislation becomes the only option and the legislators would be writing law against their own financial interests…. Yeah, FUBAR.
To wit, one of the shifts amid the “common sense” electorate is the general perception that Citizens United is no longer viewed as a win.  However, with all the discussions on bad Trade Deals there’s also another shift coming into focus, the Import/Export bank.

Dear Indiana…

Sometimes when you find yourself in a disconcerting and unfamiliar place, it can be beneficial to stop, look back and understand just how we ended up in this terrain. The professional DC consultant class are benefiting from the current climate of chaos, and they certainly don’t want anyone to review the consequential and intentional steps it took to get here.
When the Tea Party rose up in opposition to President Obama’s indulgent spending programs in 2009 many were under the mistaken assumption the opposing party, the republicans, were against the progressive agenda based on principle.

However, there were a few voices on our side saying be wary of the UniParty nature of DC, the republican party is not our friend.
Money always fuels their motives, and so long as there are millions available to the ‘loyal opposition’, the republican political intentions should not be regarded as altruistic and they damned well have never been ‘conservative’.
At the time our concerns were dispatched by a louder voices demanding strategic unity and instructions for the Tea Party alliances to work within the DC-based GOPe system.
However, those of us who broke free from the cycle of battered conservative syndrome immediately knew the warning signs.  What benefit is within unity if the end result is just as destructive as the problem?  An awakened electorate was just as dangerous to the republican side of the UniParty as it was the Democrat side.
It was from this basic framework The Conservative Tree House was born. A “last refuge” where common sense approaches still mattered.

Limbaugh, Beck, Levin, Loesch – They're Not Obtuse, They're Not Opportunistic, They're Liars…

As a general principle no conversations have involved more varied opinions than discussions about the supposed “conservative” media and their seeming cognitive dissonance when it comes to issues surrounding Senator Ted Cruz.
Some people think these voices were just hoodwinked by Cruz and now their ego won’t permit them to admit the falsehood.  Others think the pundits are too close to the candidate to see the inherent issues and contradictions; some propose their punditry is connected to financial motives.  Perhaps it’s a combination therein, but many people just can’t figure it out.

Whatever the reason, and personally I don’t care one way or the other, one of the realities is their collective influence is marginalized – common sense people, former viewers and listeners, just laugh at them now.
However, historically pundits don’t care so much about influence as they do about affluence.  When the money lessens or dries up, that’s when the opinion shifts…. just watch – it’s a guaranteed truism. (more…)

Indiana Today: DefeaTED Cruz Speaks To Half Empty Room, Polling Affirms The Reason….

red_hair

QUESTION:  When was the last time you heard anything joyful from the entire enterprise (including the Glen Beck/Mark Levin types), of those who support Ted Cruz?

Within that answer you discover the reality of their situation.
Desperation breeds anxiety; anxiety begets a specific strain of blame-casting, and that blame-casting creates visible anger manifested as misery and denial.
The denial is emotional, dangerously emotional.  Intellectual honesty, logic and even reality itself must be avoided.   This is the reason why we have warned everyone to stay out of the blast radius from the final stages of their rage.  Quite simply, it’s toxic.

Governor Pensive – Indiana Governor Mike Pence Gives Fence-Straddle Endorsement…

Indiana Governor Mike Pence was under tremendous pressure from the Moonbats, barking spiders, and ju-ju bone throwers within what’s left of the #NeverTrump movement.  Examples: HERE (Erick Erickson) – and also HERE (Little Ben)
In addition, Governor Pence was fielding calls from the professionally republican DC based consultant committees on behalf of those desperate voices who are professionally republican and addicted to financially driven graft and scheme.
While stuck between a Rove and a Hard Face, Governor Pence needed to choose between which faction would do less damage to his political career.  If Pence didn’t support the moonbat’s choice the ire of the hashtag community and screaming radio hosts would ensue.
So I’ll shut up now, and you can just hear –in his own words– what he did:

And if you remember what we predicted last night, you’ll get a giggle out of this: (more…)

Good Grief – Lyin' Ted Cruz Now Denies He and Team Kasich Had any Alliance – Kasich Calls Cruz A Liar…

Wow, talk about affirming a solidifying public opinion.

Despite official campaign documents outlining their combined effort, Senator Ted Cruz now tries to say there was no alliance between Team Cruz and Team Kasich.

“John Kasich made the decision in his own political self interest to withdraw from Indiana and compete elsewhere. And that was a perfectly reasonable decision,” Cruz said.

First Oregon Poll: Donald Trump 43%, Ted Cruz 26%, John Kasich 17%…

update-1[Update – Full Poll Data Added] The very first public poll of Oregon voters ( Poll pdf added ) shows Donald Trump with a substantial lead over Ted Cruz and John Kasich.
Political followers will note, Oregon was one of the states Ted Cruz said he would concede to John Kasich (New Mexico the other) if Kasich pulled out of Indiana as part of their collective Stop Trump strategy.  However, Team Kasich is now calling Cruz a liar as part of that agreement doesn’t seem to fit with their actual campaign discussions.

Tripwire Alert – A Desperate Ted Cruz Announces Carly Fiorina as Running Mate…

red_hair

A Wall Street Globalist By Any Other Name is Still A Wall Street Globalist

According to numerous national media reports, Senator Ted Cruz is moments away from announcing Carly Fiorina as his running mate. The transparency of intent is brutally obvious.
Cruz is desperate; all current indications coming out of Indiana do not look well for his ongoing ‘hail-Mary’ chances.  The Kasich/Cruz deal to split up states in a futile effort to block Donald Trump is backfiring.  Ted Cruz “authenticity” and “likability” continue to plummet.  The more Ted talks, the less people like him.   He needs a reset, fast.
Enter Carly Fiorina, the consummate DC cocktail class republican.  A failed corporate CEO who was jettisoned from the private sector for her inept and inadequate skills as a company officer – never to be hired again by any company.  Fiorina’s only hope at retention of influence and affluence was a shift to the public sector.
We have done some earlier extensive research on Ms. Fiorina which is reposted and outlined below, including “Globalist Carly Fiorina” in her own words.

Team Cruz has always been aligned within the GOPe road-map.  The addition of Carly Fiorina, the splitter candidate, to be his running mate is stunningly solid evidence therein. Here’s why: (more…)

Post Election Night Debrief – Trump Dominates Northeast Primary Result…

To say that candidate Donald Trump dominated last night’s election result is a bit of an understatement.  Team Trump supporters absolutely crushed the competition and outperformed even the largest pre-election night expectations.
Not only did Team Trump win, but the Northeast voters resoundingly won with results that far exceeded the polls going into the five state races:
april 27 1
Key Points:
♦ Donald Trump voters beat the collective totals of both Senator Ted Cruz and John Kasich combined in every state contest, and now lead the national vote total by over 3.2 million votes.
♦ In addition, this is the sixth straight contest where Donald Trump has won more than 50% of the vote (61% in New York) putting to rest the argument that he’s not winning the majority vote.
♦ Donald Trump not only decidedly won every state, he also won every county within each of the five states (CT, PA, DE, RI, MD).   Trump also won every single congressional district within each of those states.
Simply put, this was a complete and total victory for candidate Donald Trump and all his supporters. That’s how the people voted, so now we shift focus to the delegate math. (more…)
