Crime Spree Suspect Being Pursued By Police Shot By Homeowner Who Refused To Become Next Victim…

(GunsSaveLives) A suspect in several burglaries, car thefts and car jackings led police on a chase lasting over an hour yesterday morning.  The suspect managed to elude police by stealing multiple vehicles in short succession.
According to KCTV5, one homeowner fought off the suspect by hand.  With police in pursuit, the suspect abandoned the third stolen vehicle, and confronted Vince Frew in his driveway as Frew was loading items he needed for his day into his work van.

The suspect then attempted to steal his vehicle. Frew said the intruder wanted his keys but he didn’t have them. “He approached me, and I just kind of shoved him off of me,” he said. (more…)

D'oh – President Obama On Syrian Chemical Weapons: "I Didn't Set A 'Red Line', The World Set A Red Line"…. (a rare triple penguin award)

Syria Banner
President Obama in August 2012:

….“We have been very clear to the Assad regime, but also to other players on the ground, that a red line for us is we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or being utilized. That would change my calculus,” Obama said. “That would change my equation. . . . We’re monitoring that situation very carefully. We have put together a range of contingency plans.”  (link)

The Mysteries of The Richard Conner Proffer Hearing Discussed……

I said a few months ago we would return to the issue(s) surrounding the Trayvon Martin phone mysteries.   Given the retrospect of Jack Cashill’s latest book and construction – Perhaps this is a good time to do so.
trayvon cell phone 1
During the George Zimmerman trial, there was a “proffer hearing” for evidentiary issues about the content of Trayvon Martin’s telephone.   Most, if not all, of the substantive issues were never discussed by the media.   Instead they clouded their reporting by focusing on Judge Debra Nelson walking out of the courtroom at 10:30pm;  but the substance of the Richard Conner testimony did not evaporate with her running away from it.
In addition to discovering that Trayvon Martin’s father, Tracy, was texting him about guns and ownership, there were issues about the deleted phone content itself.   These deletions were never addressed, and the issues behind them could shake the foundation of the prosecution.
if you will watch the video, and watch e.x.a.c.t.l.y. what Conner says, with specificity, you will note he is actually confirming – and stating – without actually confirming and stating, the phone records were deleted by hardware function.

This is important.   VERY IMPORTANT (for all the reasons outlined above and more, much, much more) (more…)

Ariel Castro – DEAD

Hanged himself in his cell – Inmate Ariel Castro was found hanging in his cell this evening at 9:20 pm at the  Correctional Reception Center in Orient. He was housed in protective custody  which means he was in a cell by himself and rounds are required every 30 minutes  at staggered intervals. Upon finding inmate Castro, prison medical staff began  performing life saving measures. Shortly after he was transported to OSUMC where  he was pronounced dead at 10:52 pm. A thorough review of this incident is  underway and more information can be provided as it becomes available pending  the status of the investigation.  (link)

Justice Served – Texas Father Who Beat Rapist Of Five-Year-Old Daughter To Death With Bare Hands Will Not Be Charged

TEXAS – A Texas father who discovered a man raping  his five-year-old daughter and beat him to death with his bare hands will not be  charged with homicide under state law.
A Lavaca County grand jury decided not to  press charges against the 23-year-old father in the June 9th death of Jesus Mora  Flores, 47, who was killed inside a remote shack after he was caught molesting  the young girl.
Decision: Heather McMinn, district attorney for Guadalupe, Gonzales and Lavaca Counties, speaks at a news conference with Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon, second from right, and V'anne Huger, right, attorney for the father, in June

Heather McMinn, district attorney for Guadalupe, Gonzales and Lavaca Counties,  speaks at a news conference with Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon, second from  right, and V’anne Huger, right, attorney for the father.

Under Texas state law, deadly force is  authorized and indeed, justified in order to stop an aggravated sexual assault  and coupled with the fact that the harrowing 911 calls made by the father back  claims he even tried to save the pedophile’s life led to the grand jury’s  decision. (more…)

On FOIAs N Stuff In The Works….

7dbda-cheese-mouseThanks to Stella I was able to download and read Jack Cashill’s  book about the Zimmerman case this past weekend.   I very much enjoyed his presentation and found the book to be a solid, fact based, presentation.   Perhaps later in the week I’ll get around to writing a review about it – but suffice to say it’s a soup-to-nuts delivery of the entire case.    A very good read – pulling together a very complex dynamic into digestible form.
We talked to Mr. Cashill several times in the lead up to the trial as he was deep in research and filled with inquiry about how we, as a group, discovered so much information.  Mr. Cashill’s initial contact was based on all the prior research assembled here by all of you.  As a consequence he found the research approach fascinating.  Y’all should feel really proud of that.  It seems from the reading he also followed along thereafter.
As noted by some comments, and inquiry over the weekend, there are many aspects of the Zimmerman case -mostly side issues- we are still researching and putting together.   We have roughly 33 questions we are seeking to answer through FOIA submissions both relating to Jacksonville SAO and the prosecution, as well as Miami-Dade. Their Day In Court – The Florida School Bus Thugs Plead Guilty – The 13-year-old Victim Too Worried of Retaliation To Attend Court…

“Joshua is not that person,” Reddin’s mother said, after seeing the video for the first time.
“That’s really not him,” McKnight’s dad said. “That’s not his character.”
“If someone had told me that, and I had not seen that, I wouldn’t believe it,” said Khemradj’s grandfather, who is raising the boy.

CLEARWATER — There was a Jeykll and Hyde quality to Thursday’s court proceedings, where three 15-year-old boys pleaded guilty to beating a 13-year-old student on a school bus last month.

The boys appeared remorseful and respectful, their heads sometimes bowed.
It was all “Yes, sir” and “No, sir,” sometimes in unison, as Circuit Judge Raymond Gross painstakingly asked them a series of questions after their attorneys announced the trio would be pleading guilty in the July 10 beating.
But then Assistant State Attorney William Schopper asked that the video of the attack — the one that’s gone viral and turned the Gulfport school bus assault attack into a national story — be shown before Gross decided on a punishment.

In it, one of the boys, Joshua Reddin, is seen sitting behind the victim, snarling expletives. Soon, another boy, Julian McKnight, moves from his assigned seat, toward the back of the bus, to the front, near the victim. The pair pocket their cell phones and straighten out their clothing before they and the third boy, Lloyd Khemradj, pounce on the victim. (more…)

A House Divided – Tune into “Good Morning America” on Thursday to see the exclusive interview with Shellie Zimmerman.

Shellie Zimmerman sat down with ABC for an interview.   ABC of all outlets?   The same organization which manipulates edits in interviews to sell a specific narrative.   Look at what they did to juror B-29.    Why sit down with ABC?   Unreal…..
The article below, which ABC is using as the precursor, is generally the interviewer, Christi O’Conner’s descriptions of what Shellie Zimmerman said.   So take that for what it’s worth….

( VIA ABC ) The Florida investigative journalist who is the first reporter to sit down with George Zimmerman’s wife, Shellie, said that during their “stunning” hour long interview, the acquitted killer’s wife said that her husband has “beaten down her self-esteem,” but she is “looking forward to getting her life back.”
Christi O’Connor spoke with ABCNews.com today about her experience locking down an interview with Shellie Zimmerman as the media focused its attention on her husband, who was acquitted of second-degree murder charges in the death of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed 17-year-old, in Sanford, Fla., in February 2012.
