This issue is actually one of a larger context.    It has been a topic of EXTREME leftist concern since the “blogosphere” took down one of their mouthpieces,  Dan Rather.
What the Limo-Liberals fear  more than anything else is a loss of control.   This control need and fear is, in the purest sense, at the core of liberalism because the structure of their ideology is antithetical to Freedom.    They need to maintain a ruse.
Ask anyone who has lived in, or been subjected to, information controls like former Soviet Union, China, North Korea, and many Middle East nations; they’ll tell you what value exists in communication with like-minded patriots.  It is the core of morale.
Progs, leftists, Democrats et al, need to control because the construct of their ideology cannot survive the scrutiny of sunlight.   Hence, all of their moves are to restrict free expressions of ideas and information. (more…)

The former head of the KGB is now directing the President of the United States on what to do, how to do it, and what will be acceptable.     Totally flaying the White House because he knows POTUS does not have support of his own people.   In essence he is daring President Obama to have a vote in his own congress.   Putin knows such a vote would fail therefore he can position himself as being on the side of the U.S. majority.  His directions published Swooningly by,…. wait for it….  why, the New York Times of course:

(NYT) . . . A new opportunity to avoid military action has emerged in the past few days. The United States, Russia and all members of the international community must take advantage of the Syrian government’s willingness to place its chemical arsenal under international control for subsequent destruction. Judging by the statements of President Obama, the United States sees this as an alternative to military action.

I welcome the president’s interest in continuing the dialogue with Russia on Syria. We must work together to keep this hope alive, as we agreed to at the Group of 8 meeting in Lough Erne in Northern Ireland in June, and steer the discussion back toward negotiations. (more…)

LAKE MARY, Fla. — The investigation of a domestic dispute between George Zimmerman and his estranged wife is on hold because there is no clear evidence to charge anyone and neither side wants to press the case, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
That could change if new evidence surfaces or technicians are able to extract video that recorded the dispute from Shellie Zimmerman’s smashed iPad, said Officer Zach Hudson. Law enforcement analysts are having difficulty obtaining the video because the iPad is in bad shape, he said.

I’m no fan of this guy, nor do I support the burning of religious books in general, but I defend his right to do it.    If he were headed to a flag burning no-one would be bothering him.   The police approach toward stopping him from expressing his constitutional right, with a protected first amendment protest, is just wrong.

Law enforcement was obviously just looking for a reason to be able to stop him.   That should send a shiver through every patriotic American.   “PissChrist” (a crucifixion contained in a framed glass display of urine) is considered high art by the leftists and progs.    Treading on a flag as displayed by an elementary school teacher is considered acceptable by the leftists and progs.   
Yet threaten to burn a Koran, upset the Muslim sensibilities, and law enforcement will take any approach to stop it.    This double-standard is just insufferably wrong.

On Wednesday, a man shouting that he “hated white people” punched victim Jeffrey Babbitt — who is white — in the face, witnesses said, causing him to fall and strike his head on the ground. (more…)

LAKE MARY, Fla – Lake Mary Police are now questioning the validity of several  statements Shellie Zimmerman made when she told 911 dispatchers her estranged  husband, George Zimmerman, threatened her and her father at gunpoint Monday  afternoon.
“We did not find a gun, did not locate a weapon,” said Zach Hudson, public  information officer with the Lake Mary Police Department.  “Nobody ever saw  a gun. A gun is not part of this story.” (more…)

George Zimmerman attorney and new CNN contributor Mark O’Mara joined Anderson Cooper Monday night to react to Zimmerman getting into an altercation with his estranged wife and her father. Shellie Zimmerman called the police, saying her husband threatened them with a gun, but she ultimately did not file charges. O’Mara admitted there’s been some tension given Zimmerman’s divorce, telling Cooper they’re still “suffering” from being in the media spotlight. (more…)

UPDATE: Filtering through all the media reports this is what appears. George and Shellie were both living at a rental home owned by her parents. They are in the process of getting divorced, and subsequently are moving out of that residence. According to Mark O’Mara’s brief statement to media, Shellie Zimmerman was supposed to pick up her stuff last Saturday and George today. Shellie showed up unexpectedly. George was not alone. (Via The Blaze)  The New York City Police Department’s (NYPD) Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating a savage attack that took place Wednesday afternoon in Union Square, after witnesses say a man vowed to attack white people before assaulting multiple individuals and leaving one man brain dead.
The black suspect, Lashawn Marten, 31, was playing chess before randomly jumping up and declaring “I hate white people,” according to one witness.
Another eye-witness told WLNY-TV that Marten said “the next white person who walks by I’m going to f**k.”
Marten’s fists then started to fly, allegedly targeting random white individuals as they walked by. (more…)
