The Occupy crowd is back in action.

Bottle bombs are a favorite street explosive of young urban community thugs. Earlier this year they were used in and around the Virginia/DC area, including in movie theaters.
Coincidentally a violent activist (pictured above giving the ISIS hand sign), who is familiar with the construct and use of bottle bombs, had been announcing a “major act of activism” which would carry a high probability of “landing him in jail”, and was scheduled to happen around the same time the bottle bombs were planted. He was also photographed purchasing the ingredients at a local store. Coincidence?

Given all previous outlines this would not be a surprise….
WASHINGTON – The death of an American journalist who worked in the Middle East has come under suspicion because she had claimed days before her death that the Turkish intelligence services had threatened her over her coverage of the siege of the Syrian city of Kobani.

[…] “We were some of the first people on the ground – if not the first people – to get that story of … militants going in through the Turkish border. … I’ve got images of them in World Food Organization trucks. It was very apparent that they were militants by their beards, by the clothes they wore, and they were going in there with NGO trucks.”
Serena Shim, an American citizen of Lebanese origin, was a journalist for Iran’s state-owned Press TV. She was killed in a car crash in the city of Suruc after she reportedly collided with a “heavy vehicle.”
She was in a rental car returning from her assignment when the crash occurred. Neither the “heavy vehicle” nor its driver has been located, although her driver reportedly was arrested. (more…)

Yesterday a self-described Muslim, and hatchet wielding jihadist named Zale Thompson, attacked three Police officers in New York. […] Officer Kenneth Healey, 25, had just four months on the job when Zale Thompson, 32, of Queens — a “scholarly” but “weird” recent convert to Islam — fractured the back of the cop’s skull with one swing of a blue-handled hatchet at about 2 p.m. in Jamaica (link).

*UPDATE* The hatchet-wielding man who attacked four NYPD officers earlier today and was then shot dead by police may have had ties to ISIS, sources told Vocativ. Law-enforcement sources we spoke with identified Zale Thompson as the armed man who charged at a group of NYPD uniformed police assembled on a street corner in Jamaica, Queens, at around 2 p.m. today. The 32-year-old Muslim, who lived in Queens, struck one of the officers in the back of the head with his hatchet and gashed another on the arm, the police said. (link) –Facebook HERE–

A touching tribute today for the Canadian Parliament Sergeant-At-Arms, Kevin Vickers, who stopped the gunman before he was able to carry out any further attacks.

Unless something happens quickly to change the on-the-ground dynamic there doesn’t seem like any positive outcome in protecting the key Iraqi infrastructure from ISIS control…
IRAQ – Iraqi army tanks and armored vehicles on Wednesday fought off an advance by Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militants on the town of Amiriya Fallujah, west of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, army sources said, part of a multinational effort to check the group’s progress.

The sources added that around 400 fighters amassed in the nearby towns of Fallujah and Karma the day before, piling pressure on the capital’s western flank.
Government forces fought back ISIS outside Amiriya Fallujah – which faced a siege by the militants for much of this month and is the last government-controlled town before the key provincial city of Fallujah. (more…)
