The only thing the aggrieved New York Minorities have to do to get a windfall of money is show that they took the FDNY service exam.  Hizzoner claims it was racist to make firefighter applicants take a written test, since Blacks and Hispanics do not perform as well as whites and Asians on academic tests.   Ergo competency tests present a “disparate impact”.
DeBlasio is taking $98 million of taxpayer funds and redistributing it to blacks and Hispanics as “back pay” for work they never did, for a job they were never qualified for.  While simultaneously announcing that he is creating new positions in the FDNY that will solely exist to ensure that blacks and Hispanics do not have to pass the same intelligence and competency exams as Whites and non-minorities.
NEW YORK  – The de Blasio Administration today announced an agreement to settle the 2007 Vulcan Society’s lawsuit against the City of New York over two civil service exams found to be discriminatory against African American and Hispanic applicants.
The City has agreed to pay approximately $98 million in back pay and benefits to African American and Hispanic firefighter applicants who took two civil service exams in 1999 and 2002, and will implement additional reforms in the FDNY’s recruiting policies in an effort to further diversify the ranks of the organization to make them more representative of the city’s population. (Washington Examiner) – The Obama administration announced Wednesday that it would allow insurers to keep until October 2016 health plans that do not meet Obamacare regulations, pushing back another Affordable Care Act deadline well past November’s midterms.

Facing the prospect of another wave of cancellation notices this fall, the administration took even further action to mitigate the blowback from President Obama’s broken promise that all Americans could keep their health care plans under Obamacare.

The Department of Health and Human Services had already given insurers the option of continuing those plans facing cancellation through 2014, and on Wednesday said those policies could remain in effect an additional two years. (more…)

Traditionally, the U.S. military has always enjoyed high approval ratings from the American public at large – they support the military in funding; in its non-combat humanitarian missions as diplomatic outreach (such as the US Navy Hospital Ships, USNS Comfort and USNS Mercy); and are, for the most part, proud of the work that the US military does in defending freedom and the highest ideals of “America” –

individual liberty, peace, free trade, domestic stability among the many hallmarks of the “shining city on the hill”.  In very few other countries, do so many citizens have direct experience – having served, themselves – or a first degree relative connection to someone who has served in the armed forces. Ideological far-left Democrats are the most racist of all self-identified political types.

In 2012 Spike Lee tweeted out what he thought was the address of George Zimmerman.

The message within his objective was to harass and threaten the life of George Zimmerman around the premise the shooting of Trayvon Martin was racially motivated.

The address was wrong, and an elderly couple was terrorized by far-left “Occupy Wall Street” types and their Black Grievance counterparts.   Fearing for their lives the family was forced to move out.  Spike Lee settled a lawsuit and gave the victimized family money to compensate for the terror he created.

Recently Spike Lee stepped into the controversial race mix yet again only this time he demanded that white New Yorkers move out of black neighborhoods.

Doug Ross @ Journal has published a first hand account of a conversation a docent at the Bush Center Library had with former Senator Alan Simpson (R), co-author of the Simpson-Bowles commission report recommending fiscal reform legislation, on the outspoken former Senator’s impressions based on first-hand dealings with Barack Hussein Obama.

“….I spent the next 15 minutes (just the two of us) listening to him expound on his view of our future. His first answer was that with this president we will never make progress. He then related a story that when Bowles and Simpson requested time with the president to urge him to seriously consider their report, he was stunned by the response (as was Bowles).
