The ever inconsistent Monmouth University pollster Patrick Murray presents yet another one of his grand political estimations (full pdf below).  However, multiple notes of caution:  #1) This is Patrick Murray, who hasn’t done an accurate poll in all of 2016 campaign season.  #2) This poll was conducted prior to the GOP debate.

Let us all hope the good people of New Hampshire spot the insufferable and poorly briefed politicians who want to lead the nation.

In a recent South Carolina GOP debate Jeb Bush talked about trade with China and showed how much he relies on briefings by his team to create his talking points. Bush did not realize Boeing was moving a manufacturing plant to China, and with it American Jobs – SEE HERE

Similarly, last night in New Hampshire, to bolster his propositions about eminent domain, Governor Jeb Bush made the gobsmacking assertion the Keystone Pipeline project was a “public use” project.

It isn’t.

Few people will talk about this, and fewer will even want to acknowledge it, but what Donald Trump did before the debate even began shows the measure of a real man’s worth.

At the beginning of the ABC debate, each of the candidates were being introduced in a specific order.  The first name called to the stage was Chris Christie.  The applause was loud and lingered through the time when Martha Raddatz called the second candidate Ben Carson.

Dr. Carson did not hear his name called (easy to understand why when you listen to the video) and stood in the entry-way.  The moderators, with their backs to the candidates, didn’t notice his absence and called the third name on the list, Ted Cruz. (more…)

It seemed to me Donald Trump won the debate in a stunning fashion by calling out the debate audience for being part of the party apparatus and filled with republican donors.  It was a jaw dropping moment that showed how brave Trump was.  Perhaps even more stunningly, it was easily noticed how the audience moderated their own behavior after being called out.

Incredible, absolutely incredible.

Ted Cruz refused to say to Trump’s face what he said behind his back on the campaign trail.  Also in a severely bone-headed move he can never appear on CNN again after lying about their broadcast content in the Ben Carson/Iowa fiasco.

He exposed himself as a liar and you can guarantee CNN will air it continuously.  (more…)

ABC News has partnered with affiliate WMUR, Independent Journal Review, the Republican National Committee and Saint Anselm College.  The audience will be filled with Republican Party insiders.  Progressive favorites David Muir and Martha Raddatz will moderate the debate.
