Last weekend hundreds of thousands of Egyptians took to Tahrir Square in what was the largest swell of protest since the Hosni Mubarak overthrow.   The radical elements within the egyptian angst are being mostly ignored and not reported by the mainstream Western media.   However, the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood, and the anticipated outcome of radical Islamists controlling the government in the upcoming election is all but certain.  The Egyptian military has been in a precarious position of trying to be the counter balance to offset the rise of al-Qadea elements.
(RT CAIRO) — There’s growing belief among some commentators that the Muslim Brotherhood may be behind the new protests in Cairo. Jerusalem Post author and correspondent Yaakov Lappin says that there is a chance that Islamists could eventually take power in Egypt.

“Unlike the first round, the first time that Egypt blew up with this kind of anti-regime violence, the Muslim Brotherhood is now leading these demonstrations, this civil unrest,” he told RT. (more…)

You might have read much media chatter about a possible air strike being planned by the Israelis on Iranian nuclear facilities in an effort to stop them from finishing their design for a nuclear weapon.   Some people have speculated and queried about whether the United States would be informed of any Israeli action prior to it occurring.
However, there are more tentacles to this story than the mainstream news media is putting forth.    Today (Monday) Russia and China are meeting privately to discuss their strategic alliance and geographic interest in Pakistan and Iran.   In addition,  last week there was an event that scarcely made the news, but future historians might mark as an inflection point of change for the United States in the Middle East and Euro-Asia. Abdel Jalil begins implementing strict Sharia Law with the overturning of Polygamy ban and forbidding banks from charging interest.
(Telegraph) — Libya’s interim leader outlined more radical plans to introduce Islamic law than expected as he declared the official liberation of the country.

Mustafa Abdul-Jalil, the chairman of the National Transitional Council and de fact president, had already declared that Libyan laws in future would have Sharia, the Islamic code, as its “basic source”. (more…)

BENGHAZI, Libya Oct 23 (Reuters) – Libya’s National Transitional Council leader Mustafa Abdel Jalil kneeled in prayer after taking the stand in a celebration of liberation on Sunday after 42 years of one-man rule by Muammar Gaddafi and promised to uphold Islamic law.

“We as a Muslim nation have taken Islamic sharia as the source of legislation, therefore any law that contradicts the principles of Islam is legally nullified,” he said. (more…)

(Reuters) — Former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi died of wounds suffered on Thursday as fighters battling to complete an eight-month-old uprising against his rule overran his hometown Sirte, Libya’s interim rulers said.
His killing, which came swiftly after his capture near Sirte, is the most dramatic single development in the Arab Spring revolts that have unseated rulers in Egypt and Tunisia and threatened the grip on power of the leaders of Syria and Yemen. (more…)

(WorldNetDaily)…TEL AVIV – Syrian President Bashar Assad today reportedly warned he will set the Middle East on fire if NATO forces attack his country.  “If a crazy measure is taken against Damascus, I will need not more than six hours to transfer hundreds of rockets and missiles to the Golan Heights to fire them at Tel Aviv,” Assad reportedly said, according to Iran’s state-run Fars news agency.
Assad made the comments in a meeting today with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmad Davutoglu, reported Fars.  Fars reported Davutoglu conveyed a warning from NATO and the U.S. that Syria could face an international military campaign if Assad does not halt his violent crackdown on an insurgency targeting the Syrian president’s regime.  Assad also reiterated that Damascus will call on Hezbollah in Lebanon to launch an intensive rocket and missile attack on Israel, reported Fars.  “All these events will happen in three hours, but in the second three hours, Iran will attack the U.S. warships in the Persian Gulf and the U.S., and European interests will be targeted simultaneously,” Assad was quoted as saying.  While Assad’s remarks could not be immediately verified, Iran, which runs Fars, is a close partner of the Damascus government.

TRIPOLI, Libya — The corridors of Tripoli’s five-star hotels are filled with suave rebel leaders in smart suits giving interview to the foreign media and meeting with foreign dignitaries. But at the checkpoints around the country and at the mopping up operations against the last Gaddafi strongholds, it’s Islamists who are in command.

During the six-month civil war, Islamists were on the frontlines in the eastern Libyan town of Benghazi and in the western mountains, leading inexperienced youth in bloody battles that resulted, with the help of NATO, to oust Gaddafi. Along the way, they have earned the respect among their fellow rebels for their passion, discipline and courage. (more…)

We’ve shared multiple reports of the Surface to Air Missiles (SAM’s) being spread throughout N-Africa by al-Qaeda and the al-Shabaab faction.   20 thousand advanced technology missiles is enough to place a no fly zone over all of europe if strategically placed.  In addition from the al-Shabaab branch of Somali al-Qaeda members have been arrested crossing the border from Mexico into the United States.   There is a known and significant al-Shabaab presence currently training in Mexico – this same group has been identified with Stinger missiles in N-Africa stolen from Libya…  There may soon be a No-Fly Zone over the Western United States….
(CNN) — A potent stash of Russian-made surface-to-air missiles is missing from a huge Tripoli weapons warehouse amid reports of weapons looting across war-torn Libya.  They are Grinch SA-24 shoulder-launched missiles, also known as Igla-S missiles, the equivalent of U.S.-made Stinger missiles. The National Transitional Council reportedly said it had confirmed that Khamis had died in fighting close to Tripoli and was buried near Bani Walid, Gaddafi’s last stronghold, which on Sunday was besieged by the rebels. No further details have yet been reported. Khamis’s death has been reported at least twice throughout the uprising. Gaddafi’s fifth son, born in 1983, was head of the 32nd Reinforced Brigade, known as the “Khamis Brigade”, heavily armed and strictly trained.
