We’ve said from the outset that former CIA Head Mike Morell was specifically shaping his testimony to congress in a very specific manner to protect Hillary Clinton.  The evidence to that regard was/is simply self-evident.

Now that former NSC Spokesperson and White House liaison, Tommy Vietor, has admitted to changing the Benghazi talking points it would appear Morell was indeed lying to congress.

That was the message of the Obama administration and their friends in the media for the past two years, and now we know why: Benghazi is the scandal they always denied it was.

Thanks to a lawsuit by watchdog group Judicial Watch, the administration last week released correspondence about the terrorist attack in Libya on Sept. 11, 2012 that left US ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others dead.

One memo, from Ben Rhodes, the deputy national security director for strategic communications, shows how the administration was trying to spin the attack as something other than their own strategic failures. (more…)

(Via Heritage) […] Sharyl Attkisson wants to know why the White House didn’t do the same thing after the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that resulted in the deaths of four Americans.

In an interview with Glenn Beck yesterday, Attkisson, a former CBS News investigative reporter, revealed that she requested White House photos taken as events in Benghazi unfolded more than a year ago — only to be met with silence.

“I’ve asked for the White House photographs taken that night,” Attkisson told Beck. “The White House photo office went from telling me the very day I asked that I could have them to referring me to Josh Earnest, a press officer at the White House, saying he had to release them. And it’s been a year-and-a-half and he won’t return my calls or emails.”

After you read this article, and the email, you begin to understand why the President of Libya was gobsmacked when Susan Rice attributed the impetus of the Benghazi attack to a U-Tube video. The State Department had just told his Ambassador, Aujali, it was a planned and coordinated terror attack by al-Qaeda elements – then the U.S. UN Ambassador goes on TV with him and begins blaming a U-Tube video.

Sharyl Attkisson – A newly-released government email indicates that within hours of the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks on Americans in Benghazi, Libya; the State Department had already concluded with certainty that the Islamic militia terrorist group Ansar al Sharia was to blame.

The private, internal communication directly contradicts the message that President Obama,Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice and White House press secretary Jay Carney repeated publicly over the course of the next several weeks. They often maintained that an anti-Islamic YouTube video inspired a spontaneous demonstration that escalated into violence.

The email is entitled “Libya update from Beth Jones. ” Jones was then-Assistant Secretary of State to Hillary Clinton. According to the email, Jones spoke to Libya’s Ambassador at 9:45am on Sept. 12, 2012 following the attacks. (more…)

The latest discovery of the Ben Rhodes email structuring the Benghazi Talking Points for U.N Ambassador Susan Rice to use on the post Benghazi attack Sunday Talk Shows confirms even more evidence into the White House cover up.

However, with that ‘Rhodes’ smoking gun email, people are asking who directed Ben Rhodes to deliver the false narrative about the Benghazi Attack and the lies about the U-Tube video.

When Libya erupted in *rebel* turmoil we were following the details closely because we quickly identified the ideology of the “rebels” as al-Qaeda.   
Over time the entire civil war became a conflict of Justice Minister Mustafa Abdel Jalil (the first defector and self proclaimed head of the rebels) vs. Kaddaffi. 

If it were not for Samantha Power, Susan Rice and Hillary Clinton Kaddaffi would have won the internal war.    The misguided premise of R2P (Responsibility to Protect), a specific Samantha Power construct, is the excuse that was eventually used by the Obama administration to enter the foray and pick a side.  They chose the al-Qaeda “rebels”.
This commission report essentially encapsulates what we have previously outlined.   However, for some reason they totally avoid the mention of Justice Abdel Jalil.
BENGHAZI GATE – The Citizens Commission on Benghazi, a self-selected group of former top military officers, CIA insiders and think-tankers, declared Tuesday in Washington that a seven-month review of the deadly 2012 terrorist attack has determined that it could have been prevented – if the U.S. hadn’t been helping to arm al-Qaeda militias throughout Libya a year earlier.
‘The United States switched sides in the war on terror with what we did in Libya, knowingly facilitating the provision of weapons to known al-Qaeda militias and figures,’ Clare Lopez, a member of the commission and a former CIA officer, told MailOnline.
She blamed the Obama administration for failing to stop half of a $1 billion United Arab Emirates arms shipment from reaching al-Qaeda-linked militants. (more…)

Actually a bigger aspect to this story is *where* the training base is located.   Previously almost all reports were saying the East of Libya, Benghazi, Darna et al, were the Islamist/al-Qaeda strongholds.    The U.S. state dept had proclaimed that Western Libya was moderate and friendly to the West.
This media report contradicts the White House and State Dept. and puts al-Qaeda solidly on the outskirts of Tripoli.

(Daily Beast)  A key jihadist leader and longtime member of al Qaeda has taken control of a secretive training facility set up by U.S. special operations forces on the Libyan coastline to help hunt down Islamic militants, according to local media reports, Jihadist web forums, and U.S. officials.
In the summer of 2012, American Green Berets began refurbishing a Libyan military base 27 kilometers west of Tripoli in order to hone the skills of Libya’s first Western-trained special operations counter-terrorism fighters. Less than two years later, that training camp is now being used by groups with direct links to al Qaeda to foment chaos in post-Qaddafi Libya. (more…)

WASHINGTON – The CIA’s former deputy director disclosed Wednesday that Obama administration officials were alerted the day before they went on national television that a key tenet of their original Benghazi storyline might be inaccurate. But he did not explain why the administration continued to cling to its narrative even after U.S. intelligence debunked reports that the deadly attack was born out of a protest over an anti-Islam video.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) — (<– Huffington Post ) The Obama administration is considering allowing shipments of new air defense systems to Syrian rebels, a U.S. official said Friday.
President Barack Obama’s possible shift would likely be welcomed by Saudi Arabia, which has been pressing the White House to allow the man-portable air-defense systems, known as “manpads,” into Syria. Obama arrived in Saudi Arabia on Friday evening for meetings with King Abdullah.
Allowing manpads to be delivered to Syrian rebels would mark a shift in strategy for the U.S., which until this point has limited its lethal assistance to small weapons and ammunition, as well as humanitarian aid. The U.S. has been grappling for ways to boost the rebels, who have lost ground in recent months, allowing Syrian President Bashar Assad to regain a tighter grip on the war-torn nation. (more…)
