CINCINNATI Ohio – Cincinnati Police Chief Jeffrey Blackwell has reconsidered and is asking Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters to pursue hate crime charges in the Government Square attack that left a white man beaten and bloody on the Fourth of July.

Police Officer Alicia Essert called the beating “anti-white” in the incident report, but at a news conference about the incident, Cincinnati Police Capt. Mike Neville backed off that claim, calling it a “mistake.”

“In many cases, a hate/bias relationship between the offender(s) and suspect(s) may not be easily apparent at the time of, or even shortly after the commission of the offense,” police spokeswoman Tiffaney Hardy said in a release. “Often, hate/bias elements become evident only after thorough investigation and review of the available evidence.” (more…)

Many people were shocked when Baltimore Mayor Rawlings-Blake fired the Baltimore City Police Commissioner (Chief) yesterday.   Almost everyone was left wondering exactly why did the firing take place with such fervor following the Fraternal Order of Police report.

Having followed the political fiasco since the crisis originally surfaced it is likely the answers lie in the following paragraph:

[…]  It should be noted that as part of this review, repeated requests, including a formal Maryland Public Information Act request, were made of the Baltimore Police Department to supply communications between commanders (both text and email), radio communications tapes and other documents to assist in the review. As of July 6, 2015, Baltimore City FOP Lodge #3 has only received one tape from April 27, 2015 and from only one channel — a small fraction of the information requested.

Good grief, could this flippin’ preventable murder get any more bizarre?  First we learn Kate Steinle was randomly shot by an illegal alien.  Then we learn ICE had requested notification of his release, which the Sheriff’s Department ignored.  Then the illegal alien claimed he shot Ms. Steinle accidentally while trying to shoot a sea lion (a position he has since modified).  Now it comes out the gun he used actually belonged to a “federal agent”.

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — KRON 4 has learned that the gun used to kill a 32-year-old woman on San Francisco’s Pier 14 belonged to a federal agent.

A Sig Sauer pistol was used in the fatal shooting, a source told KRON 4. The gun was recovered last Thursday in the bay by a police dive team. The source described the weapon as being an expensive, high-end, common police gun.

Another source with knowledge of the investigation told CNN’s Sara Sidner that the gun belonged to a federal agent. (more…)

President Obama’s next, most likely last, hope to implement his Executive Action on Immigration will take place this week.  MSM Silent.

Texas Judge Andrew Hanen previously blocked Obama’s 2014 unconstitutional “Executive Action on immigration” which expanded deferred deportation and granted employment status for illegal aliens.   The DOJ appealed the injunction to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.  On May 26th, 2015, the DOJ lost and Hanen’s injunction was upheld by a three judge panel within the appellate court (2-1).

The DOJ had two options after their loss in the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals:

♦ They could request a summary review by the U.S. Supreme Court (the 5th CCA district review SCOTUS justice is Antonin Scalia).  Or,
♦ they could ask for the entire panel (full panel) of the 5th CCA to seat and hear full oral arguments.

Two days after their appellate loss, on May 28th, the DOJ chose the latter.  An expedited hearing was scheduled for July 10th,  THIS FRIDAY. (more…)

BALTIMORE – Public interest in the prosecution of six Baltimore police officers charged in the arrest and death of Freddie Gray will not diminish enough to seat an impartial jury in the city in time for the officers’ October trials, their attorneys argued in a new court filing Monday.

Because of that, the attorneys wrote, the case should be removed from the city now — without waiting, as prosecutors have suggested, to see how the intense scrutiny of the case plays out.

“The feeling of unrest among city residents is still chillingly evident as violent crime continues to climb to the highest level in decades, police and community relations remain embattled, and Freddie Gray remains fresh in the minds of Baltimore City citizens,” the officers’ attorneys wrote. The victim has been identified as Carrie Jean Melvin, age 30.

Even though police are desperately asking for help from the public, the article below -and  media broadcast- does not give a full description of the suspect.  To find that out, yet again, you’d have to scour around:

On July 5, 2015, around 10:12 p.m., Hollywood Area officers responded to a radio call of a shooting in the area of Sunset Boulevard and McCadden Place. Officers found that a female in her 30s had been shot while walking with her companion on McCadden Place toward Sunset Boulevard when an unidentified male Black approached on foot and shot the victim. The suspect left northbound on McCadden Place in a black sedan. (link)

San Diego, CA – Authorities on Wednesday circulated surveillance camera images of a youth sought for beating up a 52-year-old man at a La Mesa transit depot.

The victim had just exited a trolley about 8 p.m. June 13 when the assailant jumped him, punching him until he fell to the ground and then kicking him in the head, according to police. (more…)

Kathryn “Kate” Steinle, 32, was shot to death in broad daylight by alleged shooter Francisco Sanchez in front of her dad and a friend.  Sanchez, 45, is a 7-time felon who should have been handed over to immigration authorities following a Bay Area arrest four months ago. Kate’s mother, 69-year-old Liz Sullivan said, “She just kept saying, ‘Dad, help me, help me'”. Two television news crews reporting on the killing were later mugged at the scene, with a masked gunman pistol-whipping a camera operator.

Shockingly, none of the 144 murdered were killed by flags.  Mayor Rawlings-Blake says the current level of slaughter is “disheartening”.  Last month, Rawlings-Blake said city police officers need to do their jobs or face internal discipline…

BALTIMORE – Danielle Wilder said she has moved from her Baltimore home but isn’t telling anyone — even family members — where she lives now..

“The next thing, one of us will be dead. We don’t know. We have moved, and I have not given my address to family members. We just don’t know,” she said.

Wilder lost her sister, Jennifer Jeffrey-Browne, 31, and nephew, 7-year-old Kester “Tony” Browne, last month when the mother and son were found shot to death in their Southwest Baltimore home.

The Brownes are two of the city’s 144 homicide victims in the first six months of the year, a 48 percent increase over last year. Much of the surge in violence has come in the aftermath of the April 19 death of Freddie Gray, which touched off protests, rioting, looting and arson in the city. (more…)
