A recent article in U.S. News and World Report highlights a profound republican party irony and simultaneous hypocrisy.

On the heels of a devastating defeat of John McCain 2008, and immediately following the disastrous defeat of Mitt Romney in 2012, the power-structures within the Republican party decided to do a complete “GOP Autopsy” and figure out what they could do to start winning presidential elections again. They called it “The Growth and Opportunity Project”.

The officials (co-chairs) in charge of conducting the autopsy were: Ari Fleischer, a former press secretary to President George W. Bush; Henry Barbour, an RNC member from Mississippi; Zori Fonalledas, an RNC member from Puerto Rico; Glenn McCall, an RNC member from South Carolina; and Sally Bradshaw, a political strategist from Florida.

Since 2013 we have specifically documented the legislative agenda of Tom Donohue, Wall Street, and their lobbying arm the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.  The CoC legislative agenda includes:

• Passage of the Trans-Pacific Trade Deal
• Retention of ObamaCare – Without repeal or modification
• Implementation of Federal Common Core Education Standards
• Comprehensive Immigration Reform to include Amnesty

Almost everyone is familiar with the most devastating loss for the Professional Political Establishment in the 2014 election cycle, the primary defeat of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor by insurgent patriot Dave Brat.

Fewer people recognize how devastating the loss was for the globalist DC elites who were less than two days away from approving the Gang-of-Eight Amnesty Bill known as “Comprehensive Immigration Reform”.

With the vote count “whipped”, and with enough House votes to pass identified, Speaker John Boehner was set to hold the vote on Thursday June 12th 2014.  Cantor was defeated (primaried) Tuesday June 10th, and the “whip count” disappeared almost immediately.

Former U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair previously gave testimony to an investigative panel of Parliament regarding the decision-making in/around the 2011 overthrow of Libyan leader Muamar Gaddafi.  Blair was acting as an intermediary trying to resolve the crisis.  As a result of that testimony a transcript of a February 25th, 2011, phone call has also been released.

It is important to remember on the date of this phone call, the U.S. decision to intervene in Libya was very much undecided.   U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was working with French President Nicolas Sarkozy and U.K Prime Minister David Cameron.

President Obama was specifically, and at the time, notoriously, absent from publicly commenting one-way or the other.  Pressure was building on the White House to weigh in on the Libyan issue.  The interventionist activity was the original construct of Secretary Hillary Clinton, U.N. The cycle of abuse is:  “Tensions building”, then the “abusive action” then a “period of reconciliation and apology”, followed by a period of “peace and calm”. Then the tensions begin building again…..   Wash, rinse, repeat.

As the years inside the cycle of abuse continue, the abused look forward to the space between the beatings -and- simultaneously learn how to exit the beating phase as quickly as possible.

Yesterday our GOPe abusers entered the “reconciliation and apology” phase.  Cue the Paul Ryan Video:

If you have spent any significant amount of time here, you’ll note something brutally obvious.  Everything Speaker Paul Ryan is saying the GOPe are doing now, ie. “repeal ObamaCare” and “defunding Planned Parenthood” and “actually putting something on Obama’s desk”….. is something they could have done at any time throughout 2015.

We are in an era when many people are following politics a little more closely than usual, that’s a good thing.  However, for many a paradigm shift is needed:

Modern GOPe presidential politics are not dependent on winning your vote, we are in an era when presidential politics is focused on “winning the office” – there is a big difference.  The former is irrelevant when the latter is achieved.

Current political science classes are focused on teaching political theorem through the prism of history, but historical references are less accurate than ever before.  The new age of the Atwater/Rove approach is based on using the foundation of ‘Citizens United’ to protect the professional political class.

When you understand the goal of the professional candidate is to achieve the office, and not to necessarily win your vote, we can find increased clarity on campaign behavior.

A vote for a given candidate is valuable.   However, when you are inside the professional political class, a non-vote is just as valuable.  (more…)

The UniParty, Democrats and Republicans in legislative agreement, was most recently evidenced within the construct of the 2015/2016 Omnibus spending and Tax Bill.

Frustrated fiscal conservatives once again gnashing teeth as the insufferable DC Politburo highlight their intentional disconnect from the electorate;  Pelosi -> Boehner -> Ryan? It matters not a lick of difference who holds the gavel when the bell is rung for chow-time at the taxpayer trough.

It’s as if the GOPe really don’t care how angered you get.  Why is that?…

Evidence of the political pendulum swinging back to favor nationalists can be found amid the panic of globalists like George Soros.  The godfather, and primary financier, of current global liberalism has penned an op-ed in the Guardian trying to convince Americans to vote against our own best interests.

Soros is the most famous totalitarian globalist in the last two decades.  Darth Soros despises freedom, hates individual liberty, and absolutely abhors the U.S. Constitution.

Soros views candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz as members of a nationalist rebel alliance who must be stopped at all costs.

Facing the reality of diminished usefulness as a South Carolina splitter, Senator Lindsey Graham has announced he is “suspending” (ie. dropping out) his campaign to run for President.  He is the fourth candidate to exit the race. (Perry, Walker and Jindal prior)

Unfortunately this disrupts our previously unblemished record of successfully naming the drop-outs before they occur, RATTS!! (We thought Rand Paul was going to be next). Here’s Senator Grahams’ announcement:

With Donald Trump and Ted Cruz/Marco Rubio holding such severe polling majority positions in South Carolina the usefulness of Lindsey was essentially nil. Lindsey quitting now allows candidates Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush a little more space to gobble up some South Carolina voters. (more…)
