Oh Dear – Mark Levin Credibility Melts Like Glenn Beck Tears – Levin Family is Staffer for Senator Cruz…

There’s something initially angering that becomes very sad when a fraud is revealed.  Tonight on his radio show Mark Levin was forced to admit the son of his fiance’ is a full time staffer for Senator Ted Cruz.

cruz circling drain

After spending weeks attacking anyone who critiques candidate Ted Cruz, the motives of Mark Levin now take full sunlight.   He should be ashamed, VERY ashamed.

No, Mr. crony-constitutionalist, lying by omission is not the least bit funny.  Nor is deception toward your audience when you do not disclose your own conflicts.   Especially when we consider the hours Levin spends railing against the internecine family associations like George Will and his wife working for Scott Walker.

Crony politics is apparently alive and well amid the Mark Levin radio show. Perhaps he will tell the audience how much advertising money he takes from political campaigns?  Or more specifically entities with a vested interest in political campaigns?

Think he’ll fess up now that he’s busted?

Nah, me neither.

He’s got another book to sell…

Wow. Just Wow.

The campaign of Donald Trump continues to expose the “Decepticons”.

This is the Cruz supporters hail mary, but it’s too late. Trump is pulling away and voters realize that Cruz cannot win the general election. What frightens me most is Cruz v Sanders, we could very well end up with a socialist president ! Trump puts blue states in play, Trump will be the nominee. In a couple of months Mark Levin, Ben Shapiro and the others will fall in line.

I think people are fearful of letting someone from outside the system run things for a change. They are as much on the plantation as they claim the libs are. I love the idea of a different perspective on things. I don’t trust the politicians because of years of broken promises and increased wealth. People are so delusional to think anything is going to change. In 30 years we haven’t gotten that wall. Everyone of the candidates would increase foreign workers. Trade has been one sided since the 80’s when our steel mills closed down to China. I remember when we lost most of our manufacturing to them too and we were told manufacturing wasn’t important, the real jobs in the future will be technically. All the BS we were fed due to China’s unfair trade practices. All we did was take China out of the nineteenth century at our expense. Trump is so right it’s astonishing. But the establishment will lose all their power and perks, so they’re making him out to be a clown. Hoping we all fall for it. And all the people say amen. Pathetic if you let them win….again!

Absolutely. It’s not bad that his future son-in-law is a full-time staffer for Cruz, it’s the fact that he didn’t disclose it openly and often to avoid the appearance of keeping it secret. Had he told his listeners about it, instead of whining that “some campaign” is trying to intimidate him, he could be playing a sound-bite montage of his disclosures. Levin has been doing this for a long time, he knows better…and that is what makes him look bad.

Levin’s credibility for who he supports is gone for not being forthright about a family member being a staffer for Cruz but to assume he also takes money from entities with a vested interest in political campaigns is totally unnecessary, defamatory and quite frankly beneath the stellar reporting I usually find at the conservative treehouse.

What are you people talking about? Levin certainly has not come out attacking Trump….in fact he is often defending him! He has suggested that Trump not use the same tactics of “The Left”. I like what Trump says, but the way he is going after Cruz is leaving a very bad taste in my mouth. Does anyone in their right mind think that Ted Cruz is (1) owned by Goldman Sachs and Citibank because he got a loan from them totaling $1.5 million that was backed by stock??? If that is the case I guess Trump is really owned by the banks because he has gotten hundreds of millions of dollar loans! Cruz is dishonest because he didn’t report the loan from Sachs on one form but did report it on another form….I mean really! (That just shows how messed up campaign funding laws are…you need a team of lawyers and accounts just to run for office. The average joe can’t afford that.) (2) Yes, you can find a few scholars who think Cruz is not eligible to run for President, but the vast majority think he is eligible. (3) Stop saying Cruz is Canadian. He had Canadian citizenship because he was born there….so what??? So yeah, Levin is saying layoff with the personal attacks. Attack Cruz on policy: (1) Trump will be stronger on immigration reform; (2) Trump has a better tax plan to make America great again; (3) Trump will be able to negotiate better trade deals; (4) Trump will have a stronger influence over rogue nations, destrying ISIS, etc. So, I agree with Levin: Stop this crap of going after Ted Cruz personally…..go after the man’s policies not the man!

The failure to properly disclose the Goldman Sachs and Citibank loans is a problem, I’m sorry. Yes, running for office is overcomplicated, but nevertheless an entire cottage industry of FEC compliance specialists does exist, and they were there on that campaign. They had a treasurer, FEC compliance people, lawyers. Omissions like this are possible by accident, but not probable. That’s a lot of money for any senatorial campaign, these loans were major funding vehicles. It stretches credibility to claim this was a casual oversight.

Futhermore, there was motive. Ted was running as an anti-Wall Street outsider guy. And touting that he had liquidated all his assets to fund the thing, so great was his passion and conviction. That is the narrative that he was pushing. Enormous loans coming in from Goldman and Citi totally explode that narrative. Ted had motive to conceal and obfuscate his funding origin. Viola, they happen to have been concealed and obfuscated!!

The concern here is quite justified. Support Cruz, fine. There are certainly worse candidates out there, and there are good reasons to support Cruz. But have no illusion that the handling of these loans wasn’t shady. It was.

I like Trump. I’m just saying it’s a little disengenious to say that Cruz is owned by the banks. Cruz did report the loan on one form but failed to report on another. OK, a mistake, but it was not hidden…in fact this is old news from running for the senate. You may think it’s a big deal…I don’t. But, Trump is saying Cruz is owned by the big banks because he got a loan, not because he didn’t report the loan. By this same standard, Trump is unbelievably owned by the banks. (No I don’t believe that….just applying the same standard of getting loans from banks). There is just no need to trash talk Cruz. I think they agree on most of the same policies. Trump is probably going to get the nomination. So the question comes down to who will be his VP pick. I think Cruz would make a great VP. All Levin (and Limbaugh) are saying is tone down the rheteric…..you’ve got this thing. You can win without having to crush everyone in your path. Save that for Hillary!

Make all the excuses you want, you don’t “forget” to mention 1.5 million in bank loans on your application for the presidency – you leave it out on purpose. Cruz is supposed to be a brilliant, detailed lawyer I thought. And once he was caught, he also claimed he had to put everything they owned up as collateral for these loans. So again, your biggest financial dealing in your life, and you “forget” to mention it? Please…
And really – “stop going after Ted Cruz personally”?? The media, pundits, politicians, bloggers and commenters ENDLESSLY attack Trump personally and have ever since he entered the race – and he’s benefitted from it. So don’t be so thin skinned when someone else questions Cruz’s undeclared bank loans or his Canadian birth. That is also a legitimate issue that the courts MUST decide on once and for all – not just for Ted but for anyone else from ANY party going forward. Thankfully we now have a court case filed in Texas over this very matter and hopefully that will lead to an iron clad ruling that removes all doubt. People like you and I can argue forever about this issue, but it’s the courts that needs to make this matter crystal clear.

Yes, i agree it will ultimately be the Supreme court that decides what is a natural born citizen. Yes, the media has been going after Trump in a very unfair way. But Levin and Cruz have not gone after Trump personally. The irony is Levin has spent big parts of his show defending Trump….especially in how FoxNews treated him. Trump has been on his show many times and they got along great. Agreed that Cruz should have reported loan on TWO forms instead of one. But don’t say he didn’t report it at all. But Trump is saying Cruz is owned by banks because he got a loan, not because he didn’t report it. I like Trump and will definitely vote for him if he is the nominee, and I think he will be the nominee. I just don’t think you need to alienate Cruz supporters by over the top rhetoric. It’s just nuts to try and portray Cruz as owned by the banks and not for deporting illegal aliens. Trump and Cruz are in agreement on most of the issues.

Read the comments on his posts of late on the matter… He is being steamrolled by people who recognize that.

That is, Levin agrees with obama that it’s such a shame that the media and the public narrative are no longer controlled by a tiny number of elitist media outlets, that it’s so unfortunate that ANY good thinker who writes well now has an equal chance to go up against the Brian Williams and Mark Levins of the world.

yes, indeed, folks, Trump’s success is now smoking out the heretofore hidden elitism in guys like Mark Levin.

yet ANOTHER laudable result of “The Trump Effect”!

Lol what a bunch of losers. Levin has been fairer then most to Trump and he has not ever endorsed Cruz. Yes when Donald started spouting nonsense about Cruz he called him on it. You people are clueless Levin is in the trenches as a coservative warrior his legal foundation Landmark has done tons of Pro Bono work for conservative causes over the years and helped many 401’s when the IRS was coming down on them. You people should start a new part yyou can be the new “Know Nothing” party.

Levin is an establishment shrill. He’s never done anything that’s not for self aggrandizement or personal profit.

He’s proved yet again he’s a full fledged member of the Washington DC cartel of nepotism & cronyism.

Also, let’s not forget that he’s so ignorant when it comes to the constitution and the meaning of true conservatism, that he vetted, then recommended Anthony Kennedy for the Supreme Court, calling him a “rock solid constitutional conservative”.

Mark Levin has been exposed as a complete liar and fraud, so we can add that to the reputation he already had as a moron who’s constitutionally ignorant.

      Mark Levin is a loser.

I use to listen to you and Rush Limbaugh but you both are working for the Republican party establishment because you knew Ted Cruz could not win nationally and Trump can but you had to keep up with Ted and Rubio and better yet Jeb (tough guy ) would slide in and save the day. All the while Ted and Trump step out.

Phil Robertson supports Cruz, Willie Robertson supports Trump…so what? I have a liberal cousin who supports Bernie…so what? Just because a family member supports a specific candidate doesn’t mean I have to as well. I haven’t heard Mark Levin endorse any specific candidate 100% yet so he loses no credibility with me.

It is complete common knowledge that Mark Levin and Ted Cruz are friends. They have been for well over a decade. Why is it a surprise that Mark Levin or any other member of the media for that matter has family or friends working for any campaign? Hilary has several family members of popular journalists, tv/radio personalities working for her campaign, so does Bernie Sanders and so does Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush etc.

What credibility has Mark Levin lost in this matter? I truly don’t understand the point of this article other than the author looking like a little whiner because he is a moderate Trump lover and Mark is no longer willing to back Trump as more and more of Trump’s democrat and moderate soundbites are being found. Mark WAS open to all the candidates even though Ted is one of his best friends in politics but now that several debates have taken place and the candidates have shown their true colors

People don’t like Ted Cruz and Mark Levin because they make most people sound like fools when it comes to politics. The average person in this country is educated on politics by the Television and they believe they are right because they understand that government is corrupt and that is just the way it is. They aren’t liked for the same reasons why people don’t like Dave Ramsey. Dave, Mark and Ted are right and the average American are mostly wrong when it comes to politics and personal finances. You don’t have to agree with them, but you are still wrong.

“You don’t have to agree with them, but you are still wrong.” Now there’s a brilliant statement (sarc).
Levin never was out front about having someone close to him working in the Cruz camp. If Ann Coulter’s son-in-law was working for the Trump camp and tried to keep that quiet, while bolstering and stumping for Trump on the networks, you don’t think that would cause a media uproar if someone discovered that? While family members and close acquaintances MAY share different political beliefs, you’re at least a little more credible if you let people know up front of your connections, especially when it regards the candidate that you’re endorsing.
I don’t disagree that up until recently, most of the country was educated on politics by the MSM, but recently, the internet has taken over. People don’t have to eat the political pablum they’re being fed anymore and can research the facts easily themselves online.
Why do you think Trump is so overwhelmingly popular… turn on any TV channel and you’ll find pundits running him down, making fun of him and his followers, pointing out all the “stupid” things he says, and quoting ‘professional’ conservatives who denegrate him endlessly. So if the average American hears all this when they tune in, by your theory they should hate him, because that’s what the media tell them. Yet he gets more popular by the week.
So there goes your theory. People are flocking to websites like this one run by someone who DOES his homework and reports the real FACTS behind the headlines.
I don’t dislike Cruz because he makes people “sound like fools when it comes to politics”. I don’t like him because he’s been dishonest (or at the least, very incompetent) regarding a number of things that have been pointed out on this site – with PROOF – in the last month or two – and these are NOT small matters. I understand he’s highly educated, but so is Trump. But one’s made a career out of being a politician while the other one has been working and living the American dream and being hugely successful at almost anything he takes on. Rubio and Cruz also missed piles of votes in the senate – unlike them, I don’t get paid when I don’t show up for work. I like do-ers, not talkers (aka the average politician). Cruz’s wife is also an executive for Goldman Sachs, so how believable is he when he says he’ll go after the financial institutions like the one she makes very good money at? And this doesn’t even touch on the issue of his Canadian birth, which most definitely would be contested by the Democrats the day he was voted into office and tie up the country while that was dragged through the courts for God knows how long.
So I’ll continue to throw my support behind Trump. He may be loud, have a big ego, and make a lot of delicate snowflakes, the media, and trough-slopping poiticians bristle with some of the things he says, but at least he’s honest and has an amazing track record for doing what he says he’ll do.

My love for Mark Levin has waned since he has become an articulate pawn of the Establishment, but this kind of cronyism is unacceptable. Had he told his audience up front about this conflict of interest, I’m confident this would be a non-issue. I cannot imagine a man with a brain as wide as Levin’s simply forgetting to mention the connection to Cruz.
