CHICAGO – It was the middle of the lunch rush Saturday, and Mike Winston was working in the kitchen of his Tinley Park restaurant, the Ashford House, when a waitress screamed a fight had broken out in the dining room.
Police call the melee at the restaurant a targeted assault by a mob that Winston said wielded metal batons and hammers. Ten diners were hurt in the attack, and three of those were hospitalized.

Tinley Park police had five suspected assailants in custody, and Winston said 18 young men, all wearing hooded jackets and obscuring their faces with scarves and other coverings, stormed into the restaurant. (more…)

You can tell when President Obama is polling poorly because the headlines swoon him.

Weary warriors favor Obama – According to article the military support Obama over Romney…. Or, at least that’s what Reuters wants to convince you.

There is a substantive and real disconnect between the media and the electorate.  The distance between the opposing ideological poles is the same measure of disconnect between President Obama and the center-right majority.
The institutional legacy media, in all its forms, and President Obama are in complete alignment both ideologically and emotionally.   So too are they dependent upon each other for reinforcement and support.

At no time is this more evidenced than when Obama is in polling trouble.   When President Obama stakes a position, well, actually it’s more apropos to say ‘reveals a position’, that is in direct contradiction to the heart of electorate values, the media circles the wagon.
The media goal is deflection, distraction and more importantly to sell a false message.   The message they sell has one goal;  make it look like you are in the minority if you disagree with them.   Period.
Supported by their elitist alignment with liberally indoctrinated cohorts the media will do and say anything to maintain the guise.   This is not some massive conspiracy theory, although to protect themselves -and ridicule you- they will tell you it is;  No, this is the heart of progressive social engineering under various adjectives. Some of you might remember the Georgi Markov case in 1978.    Guess what, it quietly happened again, but his name is redacted……  Markov worked as a broadcaster and journalist for the BBC World Service, the US-funded Radio Free Europe, and Germany’s Deutsche Welle.
Markov used such forums to conduct a campaign of criticism against the incumbent Bulgarian regime. As a result of this, it has been speculated that the Bulgarian government may have decided to silence him, and may have asked the KGB for help. He died as a result of an incident on a London street when a micro-engineered pellet containing ricin was fired into his leg via an umbrella wielded by someone associated with the Bulgarian secret police.
GERMANY – Police have admitted they have been left at a loss by the attack, which took place nearly a year ago, when the 40-year-old man was attacked by the mysterious stranger in Hannover.

The case mirrors the murder of Bulgarian dissident Georgi Markov who was killed with a poisoned umbrella in London in 1978 at the height of the Cold War. (more…)

America, our long national nightmare is over!  They didn’t listen to your calls, letters, or e-mails, but apparently they did have regard for the bottom line…cold hard cash.  I guess listening to an American-hating beeyotch wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea on a Sunday morning.  I always thought the job should have gone to Jake Tapper in the first place.  Where will she go…..why MSNBC of course! /s
(NYPost)…Christiane Amanpour may soon be giving up the anchor chair on ABC News’ “This Week.” Sources say network honchos are mulling who might replace the award-winning journalist, who has struggled in the ratings since she jumped from CNN to take the reins of the public affairs show in August 2010. “There are discussions of Amanpour’s role changing to that of a global affairs anchor,” a source said. Possible names to fill her seat include ABC’s Jonathan Karl, Terry Moran, Matthew Dowd and Jake Tapper.   (more…)

I stepped out of my car on a sunny 90 degree Phoenix afternoon, but it soon felt closer to 100 degrees by the time I reached the all cement environs of Cesar Chavez Plaza.   A quick scan showed about seven or eight makeshift tents, but I was soon told that these were not really tents.  They were “canopies”, since neither tents, blankets, pillows, or sleeping bags were allowed by the Phoenix Police.  I was most surprised to see only about 40-50 people milling around the site, hardly the numbers nearing the thousand reported on October 15th, the first night of the Occupation.   I’ve since found out the group has several teams of roughly 40-50 people who show up in  planned rotations.  (more…)

Recognize the oversized picture that dominates her favorite room? She says it’s her favorite item in the apartment, because “It gives me joy every time I walk in my door.”
