The majority of the advisors around former Florida Jeb Bush continue to carry the same outlook.  An almost identical campaign perspective as former Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney.

Their perspective can be encapsulated thusly: The various contingencies of the conservative electorate will vote for us regardless of what we do or don’t do – they have no option. Ergo we don’t need to win their support, they are -for all intents and purposes- irrelevant, their votes are guaranteed.

Team Romney in 2011/2012 took this approach and -in my opinion- suffered a backlash from large numbers of voters feeling taken for granted and staying home on election day. The advisors around Bush and Romney are disconnected from the decade of change within the electorate. As a consequence Jeb Bush appears to be following an almost identical path as Mitt Romney.

Barack Obama insisted that Benjamin Netanyahu remove his ambassador to the United States, Ron Dermer. Netanyahu said he would not. Obama pressed the case. Netanyahu said he will not.

Obama attacked Netanyahu, he said, for the last days of the campaign when he called out the Arabs. And he attacked Netanyahu for his statements about the two state solution. (more…)

Ted Cruz has quite a bit going for him, and he can make Palin-like splodey heads of the liberal antagonists just with the rise of his chin. There is also a generally solid argument to make that Cruz has shown a willingness to fight the Decepticon class within the GOP, although in order to avoid being completely marginalized by the Alinsky machine he has moderated his anti-establishment positions. This should be interesting….

TEXAS – Sen. Ted Cruz plans to announce Monday that he will run for president of the United States, according to his senior advisers, accelerating his already rapid three-year rise from a tea party insurgent in Texas into a divisive political force in Washington.

Cruz, scheduled to speak Monday at a convocation ceremony at Liberty University in Virginia, will not form an exploratory committee but rather launch a presidential bid outright, said advisers with direct knowledge of his plans, who spoke on condition of anonymity because an official announcement had not been made yet. Seeing this bantered about via various sites is laughable. Glenn Beck announces he’s done with the GOP because they’ve lied about enforcing laws on illegal immigration and removing Obamacare constructs. Or something.

Beck is one of those financially dependent logic benders who is capable of flexing his spine into a 360 radius and shoving it completely up his own backside.

Beck’s previous support for Decepticon McConnell et al, in combination with his insufferable prior positions on illegal aliens, reflect something more than spinal geometry.  I would bet the more likely motive is his media finances are struggling.

Via Daily Caller – Conservative radio host Glenn Beck announced on his radio show Wednesday morning that he has officially left the Republican Party.

Beck, whose program appears on TheBlaze.com, said the GOP lost him when they said “they were going to stand against Obamacare and illegal immigration.” Beck added that the party “set us up” and “enough is enough.” (more…)

The White House says they have respect for Islamic religious fatwa’s, yet the same White House is suing several Christian organizations who don’t comply with the various constructs of the Obama decrees.  Think about that for a moment.

(Via New York Times) The United States has “great respect for the religious importance of a fatwa,” Mr. Kerry told reporters during a visit to Egypt on Saturday, alluding to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s much publicized edict against the development of nuclear weapons. But negotiators, Mr. Kerry said, needed an agreement that would “guarantee that Iran’s program will be peaceful now and peaceful forever.”

In congressional testimony last week, Mr. Kerry acknowledged what 47 Republicans wrote in a letter to the Iranian leadership last week — that any “executive agreement” like this one, made without a vote in Congress, would not be legally binding on future presidents. But neither are other “executive agreements,” including the diplomatic opening to China and the accord that rid Syria of many of its chemical weapons. The White House and Mr. Kerry argue that any future president is highly unlikely to rescind the accord, particularly if Iran is complying with its terms.  (read more)
