Free Speech, "But" – Paris, Copenhagen, Now Garland Texas…

Considering the jihadist attack in Garland Texas, it will not take long for the professional left to begin espousing the familiar tome: “free speech, but“….
There is no “but” in any sentence about “free speech”.  It is, it exists, -or-, it is not, it does not exist.  It is that simple.
Mohammad-Contest-Drawing-1-small
The fact that a simple event depicting pictures of Muhammad needs to spend $10,000 to hire security -IN AMERICA- should be the real story.  The fact that a simple event depicting pictures would be considered “controversial” -IN AMERICA- should be the sub line of the real story.  Alas, these simple considerations will be lost amid the “but” crowd.
“But”, free speech does not protect offensive speech – is another familiar, perhaps the most frequent, refrain from the “but” crowd.  Insufferably wrong.   The only speech that needs first amendment protection is “offensive speech”, if your speech wasn’t controversial or offensive it would not need protection. Valdosta State University Closes Campus To Support Flag Rally – Eric Sheppard Jr. Remains At Large…

A counter-event being held today at VSU is anticipated to draw 4,000+ patriots in support of the Stars and Stripes. Todays event follows the publicity of a militant black supremacy group who were walking on, and burning, the USA flag for several days on campus last week.

The leader of the student group who was originally protesting, Eric Sheppard Jr., remains wanted by police for violent threats and firearms violations.  Weapons were found in his backpack on the school campus.  Sheppard fled the campus before police could arrest him. It is rumored Eric Sheppard is in hiding amid several organizations sympathetic to his ‘Islamic radicalization’ cause.
The sunlight upon the campus recruitment for Islamic Radicalization has brought an uncomfortable discussion into the backstory surrounding the events. According to local speculation the Nation of Islam and New Black Panther Party sympathizers are assisting Sheppard in avoiding law enforcement.
Had it not been for an Air Force veteran, Michelle Manhart, bringing national attention to the group – the activity taking place on the VSU campus would never have been scrutinized. (more…)

Manhunt Continues At Valdosta State University – Eric Sheppard Jr Flees Capture By Federal Authorities…

The VSU Flag stomping protest has brought sunlight upon a series of events on the VSU campus that has now expanded in an alarming manner.  This is no longer even remotely related to disrespecting or burning a flag.
Valdosta State University

VALDOSTA, Ga. — At 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, from the steps of Valdosta State University’s West Hall, the father of Eric Sheppard issued the following the statement:
“Son, you know we love you and have always taught you to do the right thing and make wise decisions. Please make the right decision and turn yourself in, either to the authorities or to me, and we will handle this together. We love you and are here for you, as you requested.”
Eric Sheppard Sr., father of Eric Sheppard.

At the heart of the issue is a student agitator named Eric Sheppard Jr. who previously organized an event to stomp on the U.S.A. flag and then burn it.
Michelle ManhartAn Air Force veteran, Michelle Manhart, inadvertently brought sunlight upon the VSU activity when she picked up the flag and would not allow it to be desecrated – she was initially arrested, then released.
The student group behind the Flag Burning initially refused to identify themselves. However, through researching the social media of event participants we discovered who they were, and more importantly identified their ideology.
Eric Sheppard Jr. was the organizer of the event, and is an advocate for a militant Black Supremacy movement. He is pictured throughout his social media profile with alarming messages supporting violence and carrying numerous weapons. (more…)

President Obama and BFF Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan To Celebrate Opening of Maryland Mega Mosque…

We don’t call it Marylandistan for nothing.

[…]  The mega-mosque is called the Turkish American Culture and Civilization Center and, according to the Muslim Link,  it “will likely become the largest and most striking examples of Islamic architecture in the western hemisphere” when it is finished.  The Muslim Link explicitly says it is “a project of the government of Turkey.”

Maryland Mosque
(Via Right Scoop) A couple of years ago it was reported that Turkey was helping fund the building of a $100 million dollar mega mosque in Lanham, Maryland. In fact Erdogan visited the mosque when he was here in May of 2013, promising to come back for the opening.
Well that time has apparently arrived and now Erdogan and Obama will be together at the mosque for the big opening ceremony: (more…)

MSM Picks Up Story of Warrior Patriot Michelle Manhart Challenging Valdosta State University Students Walking On Flag…

We shared this story yesterday.  Apparently VSU’s activities are gaining a lot of attention, including the unwillingness of the campus “activist group” to identify themselves.
Sunlight is the best disinfectant; but notice how many MSM stories are spinning the coverage to make Michelle Manhart the controversy instead of the “student group” marching on the USA flag for three days… wonder why that is?

Michelle is a magnificent WOLVERINE !!!

VALDOSTA — A military veteran was detained but not charged by Valdosta State University police after she approached a group of protesters on campus who were walking on an American flag and took it from them.
Michelle ManhartMichelle Manhart, an Air Force veteran, said she was not planning to take the flag from the group, but she had heard about the group’s recent campus demonstrations and wanted to take action.
“I did not want anything like this, but I got a call from a student who told me that the flag was on the ground, and they were walking on it,” said Manhart. “I was just going over there to pick up the flag off the ground. I don’t know what their cause is, but I went to pick it up because it doesn’t deserve to be on the ground.”
Manhart said she was taken into custody by VSU police officers who then returned the flag to the demonstrators. She admitted to The Valdosta Daily Times that she resisted arrest after seeing the flag being returned. (more…)

Memories Pizza Reopened To Full House….

WALKERTON, Ind. (AP) – A northern Indiana pizzeria that closed after its owner supported Indiana’s religious objections law has reopened.

memories pizzaMemories Pizza owner Kevin O’Connor says he reopened about 4 p.m. Thursday. He says that within an hour, all eight tables were filled and six people were waiting for carryout orders. There were no protests as of 7 p.m.

O’Connor faced criticism after he and his daughter, Crystal, said they would never deny service to a gay customer but would decline to cater a same-sex wedding because it would conflict with their Christian beliefs. Protests led them to close the Walkerton pizzeria about 20 miles southwest of South Bend.

O’Connor says he’ll use some of his share of more than $842,000 raised online to make improvements. He also plans to donate to charity.  (link)
