As a consequence, ignore the social media of Abdulazeez; ignore the connections to radical Islam and his radical mosque; ignore the visits to Jordan and Yemen; ignore his glorification of the Islamic State (ISIS) on his social media.  Ignore all that stuff folks, the FBI says – nothing to see here folks, move along, move along.  “Lone wolf”, gotta be.

WASHINGTON DC – Authorities are declining to link the shootings in Chattanooga, Tenn., that killed four Marines on Thursday to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) despite a suggestion from the House Homeland Security Committee chairman that the gunman was inspired by the terror group.

“At this time, we have no indication that he was inspired by or directed by anyone other than himself,” Ed Reinhold, the FBI agent in charge, said of the shooter, identified as 24-year-old Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez, during a news conference Friday.

Reinhold added that law enforcement will continue explore any potential link to terror groups. (more…)

Here’s one of those weird little media predictions.  Last night on CNN’s Anderson Cooper show he stated he was on assignment in New Orleans, but never clarified what exactly for.  Given the notorious history of CNN as a propaganda tool, could his assignment be for further advancement of the insufferable confederacy syndrome issue?…

New Orleans – Opponents of the proposed removal of Confederate memorials in New Orleans are using social media to organize the fight to keep them where they stand.

What started out as an effort to keep the statue of Robert E. Lee atop his column in Lee Circle, has expanded its mission to include defending all of the statues and monuments dedicated to the Confederacy.

The City Council, at Mayor Mitch Landrieu’s request, has begun a formal hearing process that could result in the removal of Lee and monuments dedicated to P.G.T. Beauregard, another Confederate general; Jefferson Davis, the president of the Confederacy; and the Battle of Liberty Place, a bloody confrontation instigated by ex-Confederates who launched a failed coup against Louisiana’s Reconstruction government. Things that make other things make sense – Oh boy, it looks like Marilyn “By-Any-Means-Necessary” Mosby has some serious issues in the background of her family and their life of crime while carrying badges.

WASHINGTON – Marilyn Mosby, the Baltimore City State’s Attorney, catapulted to national fame when she decided in early May to prosecute six police officers for the death of Freddie Gray. In her remarks, Mosby used her family of Boston police officers as a shield against critics who said she could not fairly prosecute the case.

“To the rank-and-file officers of the Baltimore City Police Department, please know that these accusations of these six officers are not an indictment on the entire force,” said Mosby. “I come from five generations of law enforcement. My father was an officer. My mother was an officer. Several of my aunts and uncles.”

Sources told me to look into Mosby’s family’s personnel records at the Boston Police Department. Two months ago, I put in Public Records Law request for personnel records for Mosby’s mother and two uncles. (more…)

The ongoing mountain of evidence continues to accumulate that Baltimore Prosecutor, Marilyn Mosby, intentionally manipulated the Freddie Gray investigation to construct a false case against the Baltimore Six officers.

Two significant issues.  #1) Mosby was denied a search warrant, and then her office went shopping for a Judge who would approve one, a legal no-no.  #2) The affidavit for the Search Warrant itself reflects the police merely detained Gray, until they discovered and illegal knife in his pocket – then he was placed under arrest. 

To the second point, remember Mosby initially proclaimed the police never had reason to arrest Freddie Gray; yet now in her own affidavit -in her own words- to a judge, it is revealed the police did have cause to arrest.

BALTIMORE – Defense attorneys for the officers charged in the arrest and death of Freddie Gray are accusing prosecutors of misconduct by “judge-shopping” to get a search warrant approved.

In the latest filing in the case, the defense attorneys cite a police memo turned over by prosecutors that indicates an April 24 application for a warrant to search the officers’ phones was rejected by a District Court judge, who found it lacked probable cause.

Three days later, an officer writes in the memo, a prosecutor called and said he or she had found a judge who had agreed to sign the warrants. (more…)

NEW YORK – New York City has reached a settlement with the family of Eric Garner for $5.9 million, almost a year after the 43-year-old died in police custody.

The family filed a notice of claim in October, the first step in filing a lawsuit against the city, asking for $75 million.

Garner was stopped on July 17 outside a convenience store for selling loose cigarettes. A video shows Garner telling the officers to leave him alone and refusing to be handcuffed. Garner is taken to the ground in what appears to be a chokehold, banned by police policy. The officer claimed it was a legal takedown maneuver known as a “seatbelt.”  (read more)

NEW YORK – A $5 million settlement won’t satisfy the heartbroken family of Eric Garner.

A source familiar with ongoing negotiations between Controller Scott Stringer and the family of the Staten Island man killed by an NYPD cop say that his widow, Esaw Garner, turned down the hefty offer last week.

The source said the Garner family’s attorney, Jonathan Moore, is urging the family to accept the $5 million and then seek more money through a separate lawsuit against EMTs from Richmond University Medical Center.

They were captured on video failing to give Garner, 43, medical treatment — neither oxygen nor CPR — as he died at their feet July 17, 2014.

Negotiations are expected to continue until Friday, when a statute of limitations requires the family file a wrongful death lawsuit. The family has said it intends to sue the city for $75 million. (more…)

Gee, who didn’t see this coming?

(Daily Mail) Police departments across the country that have spent years boasting about plummeting crime numbers are now scrambling to confront something many agencies have not seen in decades: more bloodshed.

Houston, St. Louis, New Orleans and Baltimore have all seen significant spikes in the number of homicides this year. The totals are up in other cities, too, including New York and Chicago.

“We’re in scary territory,” said Peter Scharf, a professor at Louisiana State University who tracks homicides in New Orleans.

In Los Angeles, the number of slayings dropped slightly, but the number of shooting victims jumped more than 18 percent. And in Milwaukee, a homicide on Wednesday put the total for the year at 84 – just two fewer than happened in all of 2014. (more…)

This story says a lot about the lack of prosecution for violent assault offenders. A suspect has been arrested for sexual assault of a Vanderbilt student on campus. The University tells students “heads up” even though he’s been caught, he might get out on bond again, and so be on the lookout.

”  […]  He is not affiliated with Vanderbilt and should he make bail, he will be warned not to return to campus. If you see this person on campus, please call VUPD immediately”…

On Saturday July 11, 2015 at 11:13 a.m. a female student reported that while walking on 24th Ave South near the Free Electron Laser building and McTeire Hall she was assaulted by a man who pushed her to the ground from behind, then grabbed her buttocks and groped her and said “do not make a sound”. The student then yelled and ran from the area towards Medical Center East and entered a crowd of people.

(Via KTLA) The family of an L.A. high school football star who was killed by an undocumented immigrant expressed support for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s controversial views on Mexican immigrants, standing with Trump as he spoke about the issue in Beverly Hills Friday.

Relatives of Jamiel Shaw Jr. met with Trump at an undisclosed location Friday afternoon and later attended a news conference with him.

Shaw died at age 17 in a 2008 shooting near his Arlington Heights home when gang member Pedro Espinoza mistook him for a rival gang member because of the victim’s red Spider-Man backpack. (more…)
