They want you angry, they want you very angry. It’s emotion that drives the collective; it’s emotion that drives the mob; it’s emotion that drives democracy to totalitarianism.

There’s a reason the founding fathers of the U.S. Republic promised a “republican form of government“, a constitutional republic and not a democracy.
A Republic is ruled by principles of law, and as a consequence it is a representative process of considerable debate and deliberative conversation.
A Democracy is ruled by majority, by emotion. Debate is not considered – the arguments are short and quick – the rules quickly assembled without lengthy forethought toward consequence. (If that sounds like ObamaCare, it’s not coincidental) (more…)

Back on July 15th, 2014 we posted some details, and a large dose of opinion, about the latest misguided efforts of Glenn Beck’s “Bold and Sanctimonious Tour” – and a strange thing happened…. few, if any, thought our critical outline was controversial.
No doubt the professionally aggrieved will use this decision as another opportunity for more shouting, looting and riots. Yes, here we go again.
People concerned about Eric Garner should remember it could just as easily have been caused by an illegal Big Gulp. You vote for this stuff.

The biggest problem in the Garner case was the media’s incessant focus on a supposed “choke hold”. The video clearly shows the very large uncooperative male would not comply with instructions. The police officer held few options, and the choke hold itself lasted only a few seconds. Also, FWIW the “chokehold” is not illegal, just against policy. The media invested so much of their effort on the choke hold they are shocked at the outcome.
(Huffington Post) – A grand jury voted Wednesday not to indict New York City police officer Daniel Pantaleo in the death of Eric Garner, multiple sources confirm.

Pantaleo put 47-year-old Garner into a chokehold during an arrest for selling untaxed cigarettes on July 17. In a viral video of the arrest, Garner can be seen screaming “I can’t breathe!” multiple times until his body goes limp. A medical examiner later ruled his death a homicide. (more…)
In this video of Mark Levin appearing on Hannity, there’s new video of the looting at the Ferguson Liquor Mart.
Seven video’s of ObamaCare architect calling the American Electorate “stupid”, and the Pretorian Guard media ignore. One comment by an obscure beltway staffer about Obama’s daughters ‘tude and dress, and the same media go nuclear. The media quickly dispatching satellite trucks, camped out in front of the staffer’s family home, and launching a full throated Washington Post opposition research operation – the results leading the ABC, CBS and NBC news broadcasts for two days and counting…
(Via Washington Free Beacon) Five days after Elizabeth Lauten published a Facebook post criticizing the outfits worn by President Barack Obama’s daughters, the previously obscure Republican Hill staffer is being inundated with threatening messages and major media outlets are pouring resources into tracking her moves and digging into her past.
Two network news vans camped outside of Lauten’s parents home in North Carolina on Tuesday, one day after she resigned as communication director for Rep. Steven Fincher (R., Tenn.) due to the controversy. Lauten was not at the house.
That morning, the Washington Post also assigned one of its foreign affairs correspondents to comb through an archive of columns Lauten wrote for her college newspaper in 2006 and 2007. The investigation found that Lauten had supported intervention in Darfur, criticized Facebook as an invasion of privacy, and warned people against “making race an issue.” (more…)
Consider us cynical, however I doubt he was arrested because of his threat against Darren Wilson. It is perhaps more likely this man was arrested because he represented a political risk to exposing the hidden undercurrent/narrative. If his activity had not been stopped he could potentially have exposed the entire construct of the leftist’s Ferguson ideology based around racism and hatred. That exposure, and not the risk to Wilson, needed to be managed removed.
UPDATE: SUSPICIONS CONFIRMED:
[…] “It is unclear how exactly authorities focused in on Abdul-Jabbaar, but the key FBI agent on the case is currently assigned to an international terrorism squad, part of the Joint Terrorism Task Force out of the the FBI’s Seattle Field Division. In addition to regular posts about the Ferguson shooting, Abdul-Jabbaar’s Facebook page includes many posts about the Islamic State (also known as ISIL or ISIS), and his cover photo is the Islamic State’s black flag.” (link)
46 year-old Jaleel Tariq Abdul-Jabbaar starting posting threats to Facebook shortly after the August shooting of Michael Brown. Investigators said the threats escalated and continued through late November – story here.
Abdul-Jabbaar also threatened other officers and even attempted to use Facebook to buy a gun, police say.
Acting U.S. Attorney Annette Hayes said freedom of speech does not extend to threats to kill or injure law enforcement officers.
“Although we each have the right to express our views about the decision reached by the state grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri, we cannot tolerate violence or threats of violence that are intended to intimidate, and ultimately silence debate,” said Hayes in a written statement. “Such threats are crimes, and the individuals who make them must be held to account.” (more…)
