Secretary of State Marco Rubio appeared on Fox News last night for a discussion of current geopolitical events. The segment starts with an open-ended question about updates to the terror plot surrounding RAF Fairford base in the U.K against U.S. military targets.
Secretary Rubio was very measured in his response, noting he could not discuss too much and did not want to get out ahead of the investigation; however, he did confirm the terrorism plot “clearly involves the hands of a foreign actor.” People in American and the U.K are puzzled by the British authority position to release the suspects on bail, less than 24 hours after they were arrested. I think those guys were on a mission from the crown to stage a false flag attack against the US. Somebody saw them and raised the alarm, so the mission was scuttled to preserve plausible deniability. It does appear odd, especially when this so-called attack was at a installation where there were no USAF Security Forces guarding the facilities. From what I could gather, the 501st Combat Support Group has two squadrons, the 422nd and 423rd that are stationed at other bases in the UK.
The foreign power involved is the UK. Evidence is the release of the suspects. There are a variety of explanations for this and they are all bad. Time to bring our military assets home or at least base them in non-hostile places.
