During remarks following discussions with Sergey Lavrov at the United Nations, Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that President Trump has extending the G20 invitation to Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin.
The G20 in Miami is scheduled for December 14th and 15th, and while there is no official reason for Volodymyr Zelenskyy to ever attend any of the G7, G20 or NATO forums, the President of Ukraine has been a participant in the last several years due to the European and Canadian political manipulations surrounding such events.
That said, if Vladimir Putin attends the G20 and Zelenskyy is invited to the G20 (for whatever ridiculous justification that might be presented), it would be the first time Zelenskyy and Putin have been in an international forum simultaneously.
In the background today, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was reported to have told Secretary Rubio that Russia understands the United States no longer is influencing the EU-NATO decisions about escalating conflict in the European desire to achieve full military combat against Russia; therefore there was no reason for Lavrov and Rubio to waste time in discussions of some meeting between Putin and Zelenskyy when the people in actual control of Kiev’s decision-making are in London, Berlin and Brussels.
It appears Rubio respected Lavrov’s pragmatic reality yet still wants to set the stage for an opportunity that exists outside the constraints of the EU-NATO alliance – hence, the G20 venue in Miami becomes a possibility.

This should be quite the festive occasion.
Would love to see alpha Putin on the same panel as garden gnome Z. Hopefully Z ditches the green screen army fatigues, and the all black hipster ensemble. Back to his roots, stilettos and thong. And, always, always, the begging.
Putin doesn’t beg. How many of our “allies” can say the same?
I’m sorry but that’s an insult to garden gnomes.
IKR
Zeppo isn’t authorized to make decisions. The only reason why the EU would want him there would be to throw a wrench into the meeting and scuttle genuine progress towards resolving things. None of the “middle powers” are advocating and working towards peace. Fico and Orban have been the only European heads of state pushing for peace, and unfortunately, they are not in the G7. Hungary and the Czech Republic each have a higher GDP than Ukraine. It would be more valid to invite them to the G7 meeting rather than Ukraine, if the invite criteria is based on economic size.
Explains the BOOM I just heard. It was the splodey heads.
I’m betting that there will be some cancellations among the invitees.
TeeHee!!
Yes, it will be quite interesting to see how some will twist themselves into knots trying justify not showing up if Putin accepts.
I would not let Zeppo attend. That rude spectacle he put on at the WH last year was a mess. A more productive meeting would be for President Putin and Minister Lavrov to attend with the other heads of state.
Concur! No visa for that clown.
I’m betting that there will be some cancellations among the invitees.
It keeps getting better!
Whenever people chose to weed themselves out of my life, I count it as a win.
I think the same goes for nations.
President Trump will announce the withdrawal of sanctions on Russian oil prior to this event and use this as a chance to formalize various trade pacts.
Interesting idea, it will be quite the show if this happens.
And removing those sanctions throws a wrench into the plans of those who try to control prices…Russia won’t play that game and dump supply/demand oil into the mix. Once that happens, either everyone else drops prices, or Russia gains the majority of customers.
about an hour (71 miles) to Mar-a-Lago from Miami via motorcade.
just sayin’…😁
Trump Doral even closer.
Safer and shorter by air.
that would work, too.😁
just think what those two could accomplish completely
protected from the prying eyes of our IC and the world!
Well done around — President Trump, SofS Rubio, Putin and Lavrov.
President Trump will have this shit ended by mid-2027.
President Trump is a “wheels within wheels” man.
I have to wonder when or if he ever shuts that brain of his off.
When you enjoy the work you do it is not a job but a fulfilling lifestyle. 😉
This is true, DG….he is invigorated.
I can’t give attribution alas, but…
“Find something you love to do, and you’ll never work a day in your life.”
I think God Himself sustains President Trump.
I responded to you elsewhere, Val, with that same belief.
He sustains all of us, as well as the entire universe.
I could see Canada (Carney) and England (Burnham) pulling out of the G20 if Putin is confirmed. I don’t think Macron (France) would boycott, because France has significant trade with Russia. As for Germany, Merz is in a conundrum. He is failing at home, so a boycott could be seen as a sign of weakness.
The Eurotrash leaders just can’t wait to start a shooting war with Russia.
Fools! Fools!!
Does not one of them understand the gravity of the situation???
Idiots!!
They know exactly what they seek.
They’re giddy with the prospect of sending their pesky populations off to war to die for them.
They & their families will rule over the enslaved that will remain. At least that’s their plan…
They stand no chance against Russia. I was going to call them paper tigers, but they are more like paper rabbits. Pathetic little bunnies.
They cannot even protect their own energy supply. What army? What navy?
They cannot grow enough of their own food.
They cannot even protect their own women from the muslim invaders.
The muslim invaders aren’t going to help them fight Russia, rather, with the native men off to war, the invaders will have even more leeway to rape the native women.
Before fighting any external foe, especially one as formidable as Russia, one should think about securing the country within.
But there is no interest in that by their leaders, and the people are truly subjects with no fight in them.
2 days ago the Russians said Putin would not attend the G20.

Should be interesting to see if this changes after the official invite.
How does that Little Nazi get to attend all of these big events?
A: Sitting on a phone book.
Actually, I think they got him a booster chair, now.
Pip squeek puppet panhandler on platforms.
ROFLOL!!!
As Sec. Rubio continues his diplomacy via “new rhetoric” many world leaders and their diplomats are starting to realize his words present an “energy” that compliments many goals shared and for those with real anger toward the United States a direct and dire warning easily emerges.
He presents a clarity not seen in decades on the world stage, in my opinion–which I like and admire!
That should stir the EU shi*pot.
“…it would be the first time Zelenskyy and Putin have been in an international forum simultaneously.”
Whoever does the seating arrangements for lunches, etc. should seat them directly across from one another. At every opportunity.
FANTASTICAL !!!
Bring him on and see them squirm. A sheer delight that will be.
US Russian alliance for the win
I also take Lavrov’s comments as a signal to the U.S.- Russia is also saying, we know you don’t want war, you demonstrated you have better control of the IC, you are not instigating, you are pushing for peace….we know it’s the Euros who want war, ya’ll good, ya’ll safe.
Once we start removing troops from Europe….things from the EU perspective will change.
I can envision Putin listening to the pontificating finger waving and intransigence of Macron, Merz, Burnham, you name it, and Putin looking over at Marco, waving his hand from Marco and back to the EU war monger, like “See? Tell me again about face to face.”
Maybe some Sophie Cunningham like finger pointing.
“Russia understands the United States no longer is influencing the EU-NATO decisions about escalating conflict in the European desire to achieve full military combat against Russia…”
If this is the case, we really, REALLY need to get out of NATO before the Euroweenies take us down the drain with them.
Another way of looking at this would be ‘Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer’.
I think that is a big reason why President Trump is removing troops from Europe.
RUBIO is a future President in the making. I looked at his body language and he’s very impressive in his integrity.
Few people in the Trump administration wear as many hats as Secretary of State Marco Rubio. In addition to serving as a cabinet member, Rubio also served as acting administrator of USAID, acting archivist of the U.S., and acting National Security Advisor.
That last role is now permanent, as President Trump signed a commission formally making Rubio his National Security Advisor, a role he’s had on an interim basis since May of last year. Rubio is the second person to hold both roles simultaneously; Henry Kissinger last served in those capacities in the 1970s.
RT article addressing the invitation to President Putin:
https://www.rt.com/russia/646160-kremlin-us-invitation-response/
‘Russia is “grateful and appreciative,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told RIA Novosti on Wednesday night.
Peskov added that a decision on Putin’s possible attendance will be made and relayed through diplomatic channels.’

“If you want to accomplish something you have to meet with those with whom you disagree.” What an important ideal. Imagine talking with those whose policies with whom you disagree! That is not something democrat politicians do, because someone who disagrees with them is a person to be shamed, shunned, if not destroyed.
The Trump administration meets with many different politicians, many of whom disagree with Trump. Yet despite this, the Trump administration continues to succeed, meeting by meeting, and create policy solutions that come out of those disagreements.
The number of things Trump has succeeded in since the start of this administration is awe- inspiring, especially when compared with any prior president. Trump is shaping the world that heretofore only the globalists shaped. It is no less a matter of replacing policies which favored those who kill and maim with policies that make countries safer, freer from transnational crime, and able to use their own resources to strengthen their countries and economies.
